Super cute place. Loved this atmosphere compared to the other blanquitas. Food was delicious, service was super friendly and food was made from scratch nice and hot ❤️

Great Menudo, did not disappoint; homemade tostadas and salsa came a little late but they were good. My son and I had to steal some menudo from my husband's bowl cause 1) it looked too good to not to, and 2) it was A LOT of menudo!! I had Eggs Your Way and it was good. I liked that the egg was not overcooked. Beans and hashbrowns were good as well. I dont know how, but they vanished from my plate. Tortilla de harina and maiz are homemade, super happy about that. Flour tortilla was really big, the size of the plate. Loved that I could order à la carte for the 6yo. Just a pancake and a bacon strip. 15yo had chicken and waffles, said the waffle was a little too sweet, but overall, good. We liked that they brought a small pitcher for lemonade refills and also an extra thermos for our coffee. Service was ok, every table was taken and only 3 waitresses for probably 16- 18 tables. (More waitresses this time around) Restaurant is clean. What we didnt like is that they put tons of ice in our sons lemonade, so he had maybe 1/3 lemonade in his glass. I believe it was $3.25 for the lemonade. (But then, she set a small sized pitcher - maybe 20 ounces in size - of lemonade at the table for him, filled to the top again, with ice). Missing my fork to eat, it was about 5 mins before she came back to our table to let her know that I needed my fork to eat my eggs. They may be short staffed, and that's understandable. Other than those minor deets, all good. Update from my post 😮😏🤔 some things have definitely changed. On two separate occasions, the salsa for the chips and dip was no longer what it was before (homemade). No longer authentic Mexican salsa. More of canned sweet tomatoes with diced onion and cilantro. Very Americanized salsa. 😏 Disappointed. She brought the salsa but the chips didn't arrive for another 10 minutes. Menudo was very grease heavy, unlike before how it was clean and light. We noticed only two waitresses today, January 1st. Not sure if they were understaffed or they had the day off but service was still good. Wait times for food was average, maybe about 25 minutes before we got our food. 3rd update for Blanquitas. Came back after trying a different restaurant for a couple of months. Service was better as they had more wait staff for the moderately full restaurant. Food was good. Salsa was left at our table but didn't get the tostadas until 10 minutes later. Food was great. Ordered breakfast plates and they did not disappoint. Tortillas are still homemade, fresh and soft. My 7 year old ordered an enchilada plate, it comes with 3 enchiladas and he cleaned the plate, so that says a lot about the enchiladas. They continue to be a good breakfast/lunch place for our family.

Busy lunchtime Sunday - noonish. Only four waitresses that should have been plenty, but no bus boy. The four waitresses were doing everything- including greeting customers, waiting on tables, bussing tables, etc., and taking payment. They should be commended for great hospitality under pressure. Chile relleno with chicken covered with too much white cheese. The dish was not that tasty - the ingredients didn’t seem so fresh. Maybe they were frozen or canned. My husband had a big breakfast - 3 eggs, bacon, ham, frijoles - he enjoyed it a lot. Food is pricey. We won’t be back.

The restaurant was recommended for breakfast. The barbacoa tacos tasted like a regular cut of beef instead of the beef cheek meat they are usually made from. Not enough flavor for a Mexican restaurant. A couple of the tacos were only filled half way but the manager fixed it. The menudo was awesome!

First time here and there is a nice variety on the menu. Service is great. Appreciated the attention to our request on how we wanted the eggs. Will definitely visit again.

Good little find. Will be coming here more often with kids and family. Breakfast burrito is huge!!! Menudo was very clean. I originally had asked for the menudo and taquitos but the waitress let me know they didn’t have any (Monday at 8:45am)

Good food and good services, but the prices are high for a Mexican restaurant Just 3 gorditas of barbacoa 9 dlls each. 1 coffee $4.99 and one small lemonade We was only 2 people and total we paid was 45 dlls!!!! . Can't believe it..

When I ordered my food it had a lot of tiny tortilla pieces in it and they tasted rancid and since they were basically on half of my meal I was left with beans and hashbrowns to eat. Kind of upsetting, but atleast they let my mother not have to pay (my mother did end up leaving a tip she is not a mean person and felt bad because she wanted to bring me here.) Waitress was very kind and understanding though . Bathroom had sticky/wet floor and the sink was really weird lol. Atleast the soap smelled good.

I went because of the good reviews, but it was just okay. The good: the rice, quesadilla, and charro beans. My dad also enjoyed his milanesa de res. I wasn’t a huge fan of the asado de puerco. The bad: the tap water was undrinkable. It tasted so bad, and you can tell they make their aguas “frescas” with the same water. The agua fresca de fresa was not natural and extremely sweet. The chilaquiles were not covered in salsa.. so it really it was chips topped with some chicken soaked in salsa.

Ruined my simple pickup order, added extra toppings I didn't ask for and charged me for the toppings it was missing. Go to the other location in Harlingen, they never messed my order up at that location.
