A wonderful Asian restaurant. The various food has been great so far. I had the Peaking Duck and pork baod and mango crepe cake. All very yummy.

What a great gem here in Harrisburg. Some of the best upscale sushi and Asian cuisine around. Highly recommend and we will definitely be back!

The food was very good and so was the service. The only issue was the bar service was slow. Go mid week not on a weekend

WORTH THE HOUR OF HAPPINESS!! We started with the Lychee Twilight (lychee martini) and Sho Old (secret menu version of old fashioned with Japanese whisky) drinks and they were both well balanced and flavorful. We then ordered some of the HH appetizers which included California rolls, spicy tuna rolls, unagi cucumber rolls, and cheesesteak egg rolls. Sushi rolls were good and fresh but the cheesesteak egg rolls left much to be desired. They were a bit cold and greasy and it was technically only one egg roll cut in half. We then tried out the Zen Spark (think Kentucky mule and margarita had a love child LOL) and a Red Sky (similar to a hurricane) which were also both quite delightful. We decided to split the chicken pad Thai and lemme tell you!! We almost had to fight each other over every bite LOL it’s a very generous portion but it’s sooo good that you’re not gonna want to share LOL We finished off with a Lunar Cosmos (tropical fruit punch type of a deal) and a Spill The Tea (think the taste of a cold hottie tottie with matcha tea). Lunar cosmos will easily be a favorite sweet/girly drink. I still don’t quite know what to make of the Spill The Tea. It wasn’t bad per say but it had a lot going on between flavor, texture, and temperature. Fair warning that by the time we left at the end of HH, this place was nearly full. I would suggest that larger groups come before 515pm to be accommodated quickly. Service: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Food Quality: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Order Accuracy: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Promptness: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Atmosphere: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Budget Friendliness: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Finally, Central PA has its own chic destination for incredible Soupy Baos and Shumai without the need to trek all the way to Philadelphia! Freshido Restaurant in Linglestown is a game-changer for those craving authentic Asian flavors in the heart of the region. Shawn, the talented entrepreneur and restaurateur behind the concept, is committed to creating a menu that caters to the local palate while staying true to traditional recipes. We kicked things off with an order of bao dumplings, soupy baos, and shumai and I’m happy to report that every single one was a standout. From the delicate, soupy bao to the perfectly steamed shumai, each bite was bursting with flavor. But the deliciousness didn’t stop there. The beef chow fun was a satisfying balance of savory and smoky, while the Ramen noodles and Pad Thai were both fresh and bursting with the kind of bold flavors you’d expect from a top-tier Asian restaurant. What truly sets Freshido apart is Shawn's dedication to innovation, as he continues to develop dishes that are authentic yet accessible for the Central PA clientele. The menu is diverse, so we’ll definitely be returning to explore more! To top off the experience, Freshido offers a fun and creative selection of cocktails and mocktails, making it a great spot for a date night or a fun evening out with friends. Whether you're a fan of traditional Asian dishes or you're looking for something new, Freshido Restaurant in Linglestown is a must-visit. We'll definitely be back for more delicious bites and drinks!

Mind-Blowing Experience! The atmosphere was absolutely wonderful—stylish, clean, romantic , with well-decorated booths that added a touch of mystery. The space felt refined and high-end, but the real highlight was the food. The chef’s choice selection and added octopus we ordered was phenomenal, featuring a variety of fresh, expertly prepared sashimi and appetizers. We took a raw version - no regret! The quality of the sushi was unmatched—nothing I’ve tried in the area even comes close. Every bite was an incredible combination of flavors, presented with elegance and attention to detail and freshness! This wasn’t just a meal—it was an experience. The fresh ingredients, magical atmosphere, and stunning presentation made it feel like dining at a top-tier restaurant in New York. Absolutely over the top! Highly recommend for anyone seeking unforgettable Asian cousin.

My wife and I tried Freshido Bar & Kitchen in Harrisburg for the first time last night. Our waiter Lucas was spot on the entire time. Very knowledgeable on the menu, gave us some really good suggestions and provided top-notch service. Our cocktail of choice was the after dark espresso martini, which was very unique as they use five spice syrup in it. A must try! We started with two different appetizers, the cheesesteak egg rolls and the steamed shrimp dumplings, and both were very good. The cheesesteak egg rolls were out of this world! Then we split the volcano roll, which again was also amazing. It’s a warm roll and the presentation was very unique. For a main course, we did the seafood fried rice and the drunken noodles with chicken and both were very good. Be careful though if you don’t like spicy stuff, there are jalapeños in the drunken noodles, they aren’t green peppers…:) We finished with their brownie à la mode and again, outstanding! We thoroughly enjoyed our experience here, and we will definitely be back. Would highly recommend this for anyone looking for an Asian restaurant in the greater Harrisburg area.

A must try for modern Asian cuisine! The atmosphere suggests a high end and expensive restaurant; however, the prices are completely reasonable and portion sizes are large, enough for leftovers the following day. We ordered the scallion pancakes (seasonable), black pepper steak (seasonable), drunken noodles with beef, crispy orange chicken, and coconut shrimp (seasonable). Everything was great. Our 8 year old who is a very picket eater even ate a lot of his crispy orange chicken. The beef in the pepper steak and drunken noodles was extremely tender. The server was very friendly and well informed on the dishes, she even made recommendations! We will be back.

I was looking to try something new in the area and decided to go here. The place is amazing nice low dark setting perfect for dates. I was able to try an appetizer and a roll of sushi. I only came for a quick bite since i was by myself and im already planning to return i had the Brussels sprouts and a shrimp tempura and lived it. The drinks were out of this world.

My Mom and I enjoyed an excellent experience at Freshido several days ago. The service was welcoming and while I was initially disappointed that happy hour only applied to bar seating, the rest of our experience was fantastic. The volcano roll was unlike any other that I'd eaten, with a ramekin of flames at the center, and the crispy red snapper entree was the best I'd eaten. The cocktails were tasty too! I definitely recommend Freshido!

Came with my mom. We got the Asian ribs and shared the house special! Delicious!! Service was fast, food was hot. Enough to share! Great price

Freshido Bar & Kitchen is a fantastic spot for delicious, fresh, and flavorful Asian-fusion cuisine. The menu offers a great variety, but my absolute favorites are the fried green beans for an appetizer and the crispy red snapper as a main dish. The fried green beans are perfectly crispy, well-seasoned, and make for a great start to the meal. The crispy red snapper is a must-try—flaky on the inside, crispy on the outside, and served with a flavorful sweet and sour sauce that ties everything together beautifully. The atmosphere is inviting, and the service is always friendly and attentive. Whether you’re looking for a casual meal or a place to enjoy drinks and good food with friends, Freshido Bar & Kitchen is definitely worth a visit!

Finally a decent sushi and Asian fusion place for the people of Linglestown Rd. Stopped in here after seeing the Facebook ad and it was just as advertised. Call early to get a reservation because you may not get a seat. The sushi was good the Pad Thai was better. The staff were amazing and took great care of us. They have a deep menu with lots of options for everyone in any group. It gives a PF Changs feel but with some unique options. Every seat was taken so call ahead. Enjoy!

My friend recommended this restaurant to me last week, I tried it today, they are still in soft opening,.The staff is nice. The food is delicious and sushi is fresh, people who like spicy food must try their dry pot beef. The manager was very nice and told me that all of their chefs have 15-20 + years of experience. I will come back to this restaurant again.

Outstanding service and atmosphere. Nice to have a high end Pan Asian restaurant in Harrisburg. Enjoyed the After Dark Martini and lettuce wraps for a starter. Ended with a Volcano, Kobe, and Hanky Panky rolls. Volcano was my favorite out of the three. The Kobe was my least favorite. Just didn’t pack a punch for my liking. Look forward to returning. Highly recommend for a nice night out or just stopping in to sit at the bar for a drink and some rolls.

I came here on three separate occasions for their soft opening- once for sushi, once to try shared dishes, and once for ramen. The food and service was fantastic every time, and this place is a welcome addition to the area. I think it is important to note that this location is quite different from the other Freshidos in the area- it is a full service, dine-in restaurant with a bar and a much more diverse menu. It is NOT like the other Freshido locations which are largely known for their poke bowls. TLDR: omakase sushi fresh from Japan, sushi chef from Nobu leads to immaculate presentation and flavors, kitchen dishes are flavorful and traditional, ramen is the best in the area, love the mocktails and tea choices, staff is kind and professional and service was impressive for a soft opening, owner built the interior, which feels upscale yet also relaxed My first visit was on one of the first few days they were open. I had the omakase sushi dinner, Oriental Express mocktail, and the table shared the bao buns and green bean fries. The drink was excellent- both presentation and taste. The fish is flown in from Japan and tasted very fresh. It was on par with higher end sushi restaurants I've been to throughout the country and the best I've had locally. For the uni lovers out there, the Japanese uni was amazing and a treat to get here in Harrisburg. The bao buns and green beans were also delicious. The friends I was dining with were raving about their dishes as well- they ordered the kitchen dishes and ramen. My next visit wasn't long after the first- I came back with family to try some shared dishes (many, but not all, pictured below)- more bao buns, shumai, soup dumplings, Singapore street noodle, shiitake salad, Kung Pao brussels sprouts, and Asian BBQ ribs. Don't be fooled by the simplistic presentation of the dim sum and other hot dishes. They are absolutely phenomenal and remind me of my grandmother's cooking (she was from China). We also tried the toro yuzu miso, which was melt-in-your-mouth perfection with a unique, flavorful sauce. I was excited that they have pu'er tea and the little tea pot they served it in was adorable. Finally, I knew I needed to come back for the ramen after seeing my friend's the first night. It did not disappoint- best ramen I have had locally. The broth is incredibly flavorful, the egg was perfectly cooked, I love that they include wood ear mushrooms, and the spinach was a nice touch. I also tried the tuna tataki which was fantastic as expected based on the previous sushi dishes. My understanding is that the sushi chef used to work for Nobu, which explains the attention to detail in the presentation, the creative flavors, and the overall high quality of the various sushi dishes. His care and passion certainly comes through in his work. Impressively, the owner and a few of his family members built and decorated the entire interior of the restaurant. They also work in the kitchen. It is abundantly clear that they put a lot of time and dedication into curating the space and the menu. The ambiance is lovely and suits a variety of occasions- it feels upscale yet relaxed, a great place to come hang out with friends or celebrate a special occasion. All of the staff I interacted with was incredibly friendly, knowledgable, and professional. Honestly, I was surprised that this was only the soft opening as there didn't seem to be many hiccups and there are so many items on the menu. I look forward to returning when they are fully open and seeing how the place evolves.

Wanted to check out this place during their soft opening. They just opened about 10 days ago, and it is my new favorite restaurant in town for quality Asian food! They are still tweaking the menu, but the fact that you can get some traditional Chinese dim sum as well as omakase sushi, 24 hour ramen, and traditional stir-fry dishes in one place makes it unique. It is part of the Freshido brand, but far different from the poke bowl, fast-food version in the Hershey area or the casual dining version in Mechanicasburg. There were so many things I wanted to try all at once that we decided to order several small plates and share! The flavor of the shu mai and bao reminded me SO much of my mom's cooking. The soup dumplings were a delight, and the Asian BBQ ribs were meaty and well-flavored. I've never enjoyed a roasted Brussels Sprout appetizer as much as I did the Kung-Pao version served here! Loved it! We also did the Shiitake Salad, a beautifully presented dish of greens and various mushrooms sitting atop a passion fruit vinaigrette and then drizzled with a light honey mustard glaze. Advanced level sushi fans will know how special Toro is, and there was a Toro Yuzu Miso plating that was melt-in-your-mouth good. For a truly special experience, omakase sushi literally means you leave the choice up to the chef to decide what he will be presenting to you, based on the availability of ingredients and his expertise on how best to combine flavors. I don't think we have a place in Harrisburg yet that sources higher end sushi fish directly from Japan. If you have questions about any of the menu offerings, just ask the servers - they are more than willing to answer any of your questions! I hope this place develops a strong fan base because we need a place that offers some familiar flavors and fan favorites, but one that also allows a chef's artistic side to be showcased as well. There is a full bar with higher end spirits as well as some unique mocktails! In the words of the Terminator, "I'll be back!"

My wife and I stopped in for lunch during the soft opening and we both enjoyed the experience. The interior is beautiful and the Kung Pao Chicken and Ramen were both packed with flavor. Will look forward to visiting again soon!

Start with the Brussels!! Service was great! Cocktails were tasty and priced right. Chicken Pad Thai, volcano roll, spicy miso ramen and chicken lo mein was a great dinner! So tasty. I tried a cocktail and it was sooo good but don’t remember what it was, but I got a photo of it! Friday night was busy and we were lucky we got a table right away with no reservation. The environment is moody, artsy. A bit loud but that’s when you know it’s a great spot! Highly recommend!

We came as a family visiting from Virginia, looking for a place that served soup dumplings. At first, we were a little hesitant since there weren’t many reviews, but I’m so glad we decided to try it. The food was absolutely amazing—especially the soup dumplings! Definitely a 10/10 experience.

Not local to Harrisburg but traveling for work. Came here the first time a couple weeks back on a Tuesday. There was a female bartender who was awesome, wish I could remember her name. Someone bought me a drink and she talked to me to make certain I was okay with that. As a woman traveling for work solo, that was very cool! Came back this week, different bartender on a Monday but he was also great and food was fantastic again. Really glad I found this place! I’ll be here every time I’m in town.

We can’t say enough! We had my husband’s birthday dinner here last night - people flew in for this! We’re a tough group in that we wanted to try lots of different things. Three in the group love adventurous food and two were fairly conservative. There was lots of sake, lots of different drinks, sushi, appetizers for the table, a host of entrees, and even dessert. They knocked it out of the park and didn’t even know the pressure was on. Zoey was amazing and handled all the orders with grace. We cannot rave enough. My husband and I are looking forward to coming back for a quieter, more focused dinner but to say they handled our group well last night is a massive understatement. It goes down as one of the best dinners we’ve had as a family and we’ve had many an epic gathering. Trust this place, their culinary team, and their servers. You won’t be disappointed.

The ambiance is very freshing to have in the central PA area as it's modern, sleek yet not to overwhelming. Just enough to have something up to date out here. The service was great. Our waiter Maddy was soooooo helpful in suggestions and literally was accurate in every I ordered on her behalf, and lastly the FOOD! Top notch! The spicy garlic edamame 🫛 had such great flavor and the perfect amount of heat, the kung pao chicken was soooooo good. The sauce was perfect and the chicken was thin and crispy. The fried rice reminded me of the best fried rice I ate as a kid growing up in NY. Everything taste like they are using the best ingredients to cultivate authentic flavor. I literally can't wait to go back. Please don't change a THING! Whatever you are doing right now is perfect. Kudos to you!

I had a fantastic experience at Freshido Bar and Kitchen. The atmosphere and décor inside are stylish and inviting, making it a perfect spot for a nice night out. The food was absolutely delicious, offering a variety of Asian-inspired dishes that exceeded my expectations. The service was also top-notch—friendly and attentive throughout our meal. It’s worth noting that this isn’t the typical Freshido where you get bowls; instead, it’s a more upscale dining experience with a diverse menu. I was pleasantly surprised by the change and glad to see such a great addition to the area. Highly recommend checking it out!

L
Lauren Lebron-Tirado

Hands down the best food! We go a lot and they are consistent and we’ve never had a meal that wasn’t perfection. Even the kids love it. As someone gluten free and dairy free, they take it seriously. They have several gluten free options and you can customize most items. How I customize: -I change out the tempora shrimp for cooked shrimp in all the sushi. - lettuce wraps and pad Thai have gf options - ask for gluten free soy sauce

Second visit and this place continues to impress. The service was excellent and the food was genuinely delicious. In a world where so many restaurants can’t seem to get the basics right, it’s refreshing to find one that clearly cares — and it shows in every aspect of the experience. I’ll keep coming back and I highly recommend you give it a try.

One of the better spots to eat at in Harrisburg. The ambience felt more like a restaurant in Brooklyn rather central PA. Food was great, drinks were great and DJ was a vibe. Perfect for a date night!

The curry- based soups i had were really good, but there was a longer than 25 minute wait for a takeout order for 2 soups.

This is an excellent restaurant — consistently good food, attentive service, and a great atmosphere. It’s quickly become a favorite of mine. I would, however, like to provide some feedback to management regarding lunch hours. On a recent visit, I arrived at 1:45 pm. Although the posted hours state the restaurant is open until 2:30 pm, I was immediately informed that I would need to leave by 2:30. While I respect and fully understand the need to close promptly, this interaction created a sense of being rushed despite arriving within the listed hours. For clarity and to set accurate customer expectations, I recommend updating published hours to reflect a “last seating at 1:45 pm” policy, with clear indication that the restaurant closes fully at 2:30 pm. This adjustment would help avoid confusion and ensure guests feel welcomed right up to the time of last seating. I continue to recommend this restaurant and look forward to returning, but I believe this small change would further strengthen the guest experience.

K

We ordered sushi takeout. While the hostess fulfilling our order did a nice job, the food was terrible. Unfortunately we found a hair in our dish and, more alarming, our kids found plastic in their California rolls! The plastic was wrapped around the crabstick within the rolls. We will not be eating here again.

L

Honestly I had high hopes for this place but i left disappointed. The young lady behind the bar is not friendly whatsoever. She’s had a horrible attitude and on top of it makes crappy drinks. She would do better at a dive bar where you don’t have to be kind and only need to make mixed drinks. It’s obvious she doesn’t have experience with cocktails or anything outside of dive bars. On top of that my food was mediocre at best. My sesame chicken was DRENCHED in sauce. I mean swimming in it. which ruined everything. It tasted like I was just eating sauce. so bad I couldn’t even eat it. the owner must not care or have standards for his employees or food. It had such good potential but the lack of care destroyed it. In all if you go, don’t sit at the bar… stick to mixed drinks and beer and ask for light sauce.

Been going here since they opened. At first it was 3-4 times a week. While we order off the menu we do like to change things up here and there. Brown sauce instead of white sauce, broccoli instead of tofu, rice on the side, minor things like that. Because we do change some minor items we typically tip 50-75 % of the bill. Well over the normal 20-30 %. Food is excellent and always fresh. We always sit at the bar but have had enough with the female bartender. She has an attitude with us because of our changes. I called her out on it saying we are not trying to be difficult but Tofu does not agree with me and my wife does not like the white sauce. She said she would not get upset if we would just order what the menu says. We cut our visits to 1-3 times a week, again love the food. Service got worse but I still tipped very well, again because of the changes. We used to sit in the far corner of the bar but more and more the manager is using it as his office and sets up his computer there and takes the best seats in the house. Tonight was the end for us sitting at the bar and we will be looking for another place to go. Manager was in the corner again. Female bartender took a little over 7 minutes to get us our water and menus. We ordered drinks straight away. Took another 9 plus minutes to get our drinks. Several minutes later she returned and took our order. She never writes anything down. Of course our order was not correct for one of my rolls, and my wife did not get her side order of white rice. She eventually corrected the rice. They delivered her meal without mine. Mine eventually came out wrong and while she offered to correct it but since my wife was already done eating her meal I declined. I did at that time order several pieces of yellowtail. Well over 14 minutes later that came out. When we finally got the bill it did not list the rice on the side and it DID list the wrong roll. Maybe if she wrote down the order when she is busy she would have gotten it right. To be clear this is not the first time we had issues with her. We will go less until we find a new place and when we do go we will get a table away from her.

We had the worst service by the server,Abbe, for a more than $110 meal. This woman did not greet us with a smile, barely came to our table to check up on us, & I had to holler for water after 20 minutes. She spent an extraordinarily long amount of time with 2 other white couples in our section. There were 6 empty tables in our section. The place was like 40% full with 12 employees. They had more workers than CVS pharmacy. My husband is black. I have never experienced such bad service at a restaurant ever. Abbe looked to be in her mid 40s so she was not a young novice waitress. I would have given "grace" to a teen server. I wish we had been seated in the other section of the Hispanic waitress. The decor is nice. My sushi was good. There's that. My husband's basil chicken was not good and looked like a huge glob. See the photo I have included. He could not finish it and took it home. He threw it away after 2 days. You're better off going to Hong Kong Ruby for Chinese food for cheaper. The other tables' Chinese entrees also looked unappetizing. Another table left most of their sushi on the plate after they left. One of the 5 chefs had shown them their sushi and they just left it on the table. This is a pricey restaurant for Harrisburg to throw away that much food. If you're willing to risk throwing away $50- 200 then go for it. The chefs also looked like young Asian guys. No one looked like a seasoned pro like at my usual Asian restaurants. To Bradbury451🐷, I rarely leave 1 star reviews on Google so for me to leave 1 star reviews speaks VOLUMES. Who are you to discount my experience & review? I doubt you waited 20 minutes for water in an empty restaurant! I have never had another reviewer critique my review. You're a probably 75 yo man who has had privilege his entire life so, whatever! I love writing reviews so I have over 180 reviews. On Yelp I have 300 reviews. I speak the truth. Most of my reviews are 5 star reviews here. We generally have excellent service from McDonald's to NYC steakhouses. I have traveled all over the world so this experience at this restaurant was pretty bad based on Abbe's service otherwise I would have left a 3 star review based on my husband's basil chicken. We'll be eating at Miso Sushi for sushi and Bangkok 56 for basil chicken. Thanks to my review, Abbe is now on top of her game with every diner so everyone can have a better experience. It was literally my worst restaurant experience ever in my life, lol. I'm not delusional. You can also go bash the other 1 star reviews that the other 4 Freshido locations have. Thanks to those other reviewers I will never try any other Freshido location. By you critiquing my review, I have made my review even more comprehensive, adding more details and making it longer. It's as if Brad 🐷with all his 5 star reviews is the boss of reviews. Um, no. This is America. We have freedom of speech here. I'm entitled to my opinion just like the other Freshido 1 star reviewers in Hbg, Hershey, & Mechanicsburg.

Everything from atmosphere to food was delicious. I am a person that does not question. I assume that a slice of cheesecake will be at the most $7, so I did not question when the waitress overly explained the purple potato cheesecake which was the only desert the chef made. They had no desert menu with a price. So, I accepted that I got played. I was almost completely full but I asked for a box to go so I could finish it the next day. I took a bite and loved it. Great texture, flavor, uniqueness, it was awesome. Until I got the bill and it was $3 less than my actual meal. A $15 slice of cheesecake should come with a warning. ⚠️ now I know why the server went into so much detail and did not share the price. When I questioned the price she said yes it was $15 and she was sorry. ??? Like she knew no one would buy it at that price if they knew the expense. It is such a shame. I felt very taken advantage of. I am not the person to make a scene and so I paid the unbelievable price of being timid and not asking, hey is this a desert that costs as much as my meal.

Walked in about 4 10pm on Friday and kindley asked if the restaurant was open i was told we are setting up but yes. So I sat at thr bar and watched 3 employees completely rudely ignore me. Not a word. I finaly asked could i order a drink. I was told not for 11 minuted. So u wasted my time for 20 minutes. So I just left and told your dis organized staff if your not open tell people u are not open. Will never walk in to establishment again. Steve
