My wife and I had not been to KCs since pre-COVID. While driving north to Humboldt County, we stopped in to check it out, again. We were not disappointed. You will see the potato cakes on the menu - they are a must. I had the loaded potato cakes, with bacon, cheese, and onions. Nice a crispy on the outside, soft and tender on the inside. And, our meals came out within 10 minutes. The staff were friendly as we remembered. The restaurant and bathrooms were clean and tidy. One noteworthy event - eggs. With the current high prices on eggs (Feb. 2023) we had a $1 additional charge for eggs above the cost of the cost of the meal. I spoke with the waitress and confirmed that it is a temporary charge to cover the cost of high-priced eggs. Overall, a great dining experience. The ambiance, food, and service were fun and pleasant.

To sum it all up… WOW!!! I am a big breakfast enthusiast and I can miss lunch and dinner but breakfast is my favorite part of the day, so I really appreciate good quality food in the morning. Let me start with my breakfast dish, Chicken Apple Sausage, country potatoes, over easy Eggs, and sourdough toast. The country potatoes were seasons perfectly with a perfect crouch on the skin side, and a soft inside of the potato (how do they do that). The over easy eggs where perfect, they melted like lava when I put my fork thru it. And the Chicken Apple Sausage was cooked just right with the right amount of sweetness. I have to say that this is my favorite breakfast restaurant and every time I’m in the area, it’s a must for me!!! A few other items that were awesome is their salsa. I’ve never been able to make salsa so smooth and silky with a great balance of tomato and salt, mine tends comes out too chunky or watery. I also tried their pancakes which was great and fluffy like pancakes should be. And last but not least, I had orange juice which tasted just right where it didn’t have to much tangy or sour taste, but just the right amount of pulp and sweetness. Great job KC!!!

We love KC’s it’s one of our favorite places to eat. Great Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. AND... If you like Prime Rib, it’s the best in the area. Huge menu with lots of choices for everyone in the family. We LOVE KC’s 😀👍

Great atmosphere and super friendly service. So much fun to look at all the old signs! Food is pretty good, higher-end diner style. Would definitely go again.

The food portion is great. We tried Animal omelette , potato works and Belgian waffle. The omelette taste great. But the other two are just so so. The works is basically a mix of Ham, avocado, Raw green pepper, raw onion and potato chunks. The service and vibes are great too. I think it is worth coming back. Maybe try something else.

Sorry for the picture or lack thereof, but our burger came out so hot and juicy that we dug in before we remembered to take a pic. The food was fine but the service was great. Everardo anticipated our needs and took care of them before we could even ask.

Great diner serving American breakfasts. Had the crab cake benedict and it was delicious. Ask for well done country potatoes. The hash brown was a huge chunk and not as crispy as expected. There's a large outdoor covered patio and lots of seating inside. We were seated inside and I was happy we were because there were so many funny signs with an eclectic decor. Lots of parking in front of the restaurant. We went on a Sunday morning at 9am and there were lots of seating and parking spots available.

First time in today. We took a walk around town, and ended up at KC's American restaurant. We were seated promptly, It is a beautiful day in Windsor California. We ordered Crab cake melt sandwich and added onion rings. While seated on the patio,that over looks Windsor Town park. Very cool spot with old heritage Oak Trees 🌳. #Justhavingfun

Nice home feel restaurant near the park and civic center. Visited on mother's day. Better prices then touristy Healdsburg. Service was outstanding, server made sure we had everything and made sure drinks were filled continually. Area filled with wine tasting, jazz bar and other restaurants.

We went on what seemed a busy Sunday morning. The staff appeared a bit rushed but pleasant. Food portions were decent sizea but seemed a bit on the $$ side for such simple ingredients. Chicken and waffles + bacon and w eggs ~16$. Huevos locos 14$. Overall good flavors and satisfying but not great. Glad we tried it but we wouldn’t go back. The raspberry coffeecake was too sweet for us and very fluffy in texture, tasted like birthday batter cupcakes... wish it was a bit more dense with real fruit inside.

My mom, daughter, & I came here on Sunday; May 18, 2025. I’m only giving 2 stars because the waiter who is a male with a bald head is very rude. While ordering he had so much attitude. I wanted to switch waiters but I wasn’t in the mood to say anything because then I would have lost my appetite. This is my 2nd time coming, the last time was in December & it was such a better environment with the lady waitress we had. She was caring & had a positive attitude. You could tell she loves her job unlike the mister we had for breakfast morning. Yes! They have homemade salsa which is very tasty! The only thing I would recommend is the glazed strawberries which I asked for but they did not have. I don’t eat syrup with my waffles only fruit like the glazed strawberries from ihop. Food is always great here! Good size portions. Just would appreciate it if the waiter was a little more respectful & nicer along with acting like he enjoyed working there.

Came with my family for my birthday dinner and it was awful. We waited a very long time to place our order and it wasn't that busy in the restaurant. The waitress apologized and that was nice, however we ordered 2 burgers, street tacos and a bowl of chili. I watched 3 of the 4 come up and sit at the pass over 15 min and when they brought them without my burger the food was merely warm and the fries soggy. I had to continue to wait another 15- 20 min for my order so I couldnt eat with my family. Angry I asked for to-go boxes and the check and had to waive the manager over to get them to take it as we were again ignored. I told her it was my birthday and explained why I was angry and she apologized while gaslighting me trying to say it wasn't that bad (she was working the pass herself and KNEW it was ) making the experience that much worse. To top it all off as you can see it was burnt and dried out . She made no attempt to make it right. I DO NOT RECOMMEND. I notice they only respond to positive reviews..
