Delicious country food. Corn bread (not sweet), fried chicken, miscellaneous sides. Best seats in the house are by the huge fireplace. The satellite shop carries pasta, sauces, stuffing, and a paraphernalia of gifts and souvenirs. A great stop during a road trip and a local destination.

While it was Fathers Day & the restaurant was busy, I called ahead & spoke with a Lisa, which once we got there meant nothing. We had to arrive & check in to then state our large party. Always a favorite! Excellent service and the food is truly homemade. The front of the restaurant is a large store with seasonal merchandise as well as a section of old fashioned treats and candies. We love the cozy feel and huge stone fireplace. Everything is served hot and fresh. Highly recommended!

Me and my boyfriend stopped by after driving an hour for a quick appointment, and may I tell you we've never had a better experience, Pam was the perfect waitress, she listened to us be 2 chatty teenagers with stories to tell, and she kept a close eye on our drinks and food, like the grandmother I've always wanted. I will always be requesting Pam, thank you ❤️ food was perfect aswell.

We eat at this specific Cracker Barrel 2-3 times a month. We have never had a bad meal, and our meal last Saturday night was exceptional! So I never been here, until my grandpa took me out to breakfast for my bday. And everything was AMAZING. Blueberry pancakes 🤤with butter and the little syrup bottle. Then the fried apples were so good. My server was friendly. I highly recommend for breakfast!

I received some gift cards for Cracker Barrel. The food was excellent. We had a pot pie and steak dinner. The pot pie was HUGE and an excellent value. This is my #1 restaurant in this area! The employees are some of the best I’ve ever seen! Even when they are very busy, I’ve never had any of them snap at me, when I’ve had a question or request. The food is absolutely delicious! The last time I was there I had the hash browns casserole, and it was Super! I love their rolls and the delicious butter for them. When you leave, there is an area that has all kinds of nice things to buy. They have candy, T-shirts, toys, collectibles and much more.

My friend and I came here for lunch. There was no wait to be seated. Our server was quick to arrive at our table. She was very polite and efficient. The food came out warm and tasty. My friend asked for some extra items and she happily obliged. Biscuits were warm and a nice addition to our meal. Drinks were refilled promptly and the server made sure to check in that the meal was to our liking and came back to inquire if we needed anything. We were asked if we wanted any dessert. When we declined the bill was brought promptly. The cashier was friendly and inquired about joining the points program. I said no but she talked me into it. Guess it seems like a good deal. We browsed the gift shop. I love the old time candy they have there and I always see neat items. I did utilize the bathroom. It was clean and well stocked. I ha e been to this location several times and wouldn't hesitate to come back again.

As soon as you walk in, you’re greeted by a charming little store, adding to the cozy atmosphere. For breakfast, we tried pancakes, eggs, and chicken sausage. The pancakes were perfectly smooth and fluffy, and I was pleasantly surprised by the chicken sausage—definitely the best I’ve ever had! The staff was friendly and welcoming, and our server was especially patient, guiding us through the menu and recommending great add-ons. What stood out was their unlimited drink refills—not just for coffee, but also lemonade and mimosas, which is a nice touch. If you're looking to enjoy a delicious meal with an old-country vibe, Cracker Barrel is a must-visit. I’ll be back soon to try more dishes!

We were in town for a couple of nights and had brunch 2 days in a row. Yesterday's was fine. Could have been better, could have been worse. When we went back this morning we knew exactly what we enjoyed and started ordering a la carte (4 scrambled eggs, side of ham, side of hashbrowns...) Our Sweet server, Morgan wrote down everything that we wanted but, what she came back with was perfect. She definitely saw our vision. And she had magically made it into a meal! Everything about this brunch was perfect! And we ended up with leftovers. We aren't sure what the stars mean on the server's aprons or why Morgan only has 3. She was definitely 5 star in our eyes!

I'm going to be completely honest here. I REALLY ENJOY CRACKER BARREL! The food prices are unbeatable. The food is prepared with care and is actually really tasty. I mean, I spent a little over $40 for two. Each of us has breakfast for dinner with two appetizers! And l, even added a $10 tip. The atmosphere is warm & welcoming. Every time I go in there I have to look around. Plus, the lit lanterns in the dim lit room is cozy! (OH, and I love the smell of the fireplace.) The service is Friendly. I mean it seems like they actually enjoy themselves! The staff, when I was there, really didn't mind small talk, and it really added to the experience. Even the corporate Instagram team is active when you post stuff. Years ago I posted my 102 year old great grandmother celebrating her birthday there, and they responded! The overall staff is really something I miss seeing in other restaurants, you all should be proud of yourselves for your customer service skills. Now here is the part I didn't want to mention. When I was there. There was two different families that dined-and-dashed. I witnessed the second one, they were in their 30s with an 8ish year old son... that was something I didn't like seeing... But again, great restaurant, great atmosphere, phenomenal service, super satisfying food, and prices you can't really beat. Thank you for this dining experience each time I visit.

Arrived at CB very early (7:45am) and Shelly was there to greet us and get us seated at our table. Her mood really made our morning, she was very patient and enthusiastic about serving us as we’d been on the road for hours. We ordered coffee, tea & Grandma’s sampler from the breakfast menu. It was really good and the biscuits were soft and buttery! Now I see what the rave is all about! My first time at Cracker Barrel and I was really impressed. 9/10 would recommend - I’m sure it would be 10 if I had another dish from the menu.

It's your standard Cracker Barrel location - so it's what you would expect when you visit any of their stores/restaurants. I've been here a few times. The service has been efficient, although sometimes it's hard to find your server when you need something. The food is decent, but it's not over the top amazing. It is somewhat comfort food though. The atmosphere is what makes the restaurant I think - lots of antiques and memorabilia decorating the dining area, games at your tables, a store full of all kinds of goodies to browse. I'm sure I'll be stopping in again.

My son's 🥚*supposed to be over medium... over easy instead. 😌 My eggs supposed to be scrambled with Colby cheese (charged $1.30 extra for this even though there are two menu items for breakfastthat if you add 2 eggs and meat/a pancake, it's only $1.20 more...) scrambled HARD and DRY. Even salt and pepper couldn't save them. Thank you Cracker Barrel for improving our experience.

Wife roast beef ok but skimpy on carrots. Biscuit and cornbread dry, green beans yuck and burnt . My cheeseburger was well done and very dry. 1/8th # burger kids size. Didn't eat it but they took it off my bill. Server not very attentive took awhile to get check. Place was not busy at all. Overall will only go there for breakfast.

Cracker Barrel: where nostalgia meets corporate America in a delightful collision of plaid and knickknacks! Every time I walk in, I’m hit with a wave of “old-timey” vibes, or maybe it’s just the smell of fried food mingling with the scent of a million identical wall hangings. Seriously, it’s like dining inside a theme park designed by someone who’s only ever seen “vintage” in a catalog! I've around a dozen Cracker Barrel’s in different states, and I still can’t decide if I’m there for the food or the whimsical decor that screams, “We promise this is what your grandma’s house looked like!” But let’s be honest, I’ve never strayed from breakfast. And in the great breakfast showdown, Cracker Barrel takes the crown over hotel food and Denny’s any day. Plus, their service is always top-notch, and who can resist that warm syrup? It’s like a hug from a pancake! So, while I can't quite figure out why I keep coming back, I guess I’m just a sucker for eating breakfast in a corporate time capsule!

The Shepherd’s Pie (first two photos) arrived sizzling in a small cast iron skillet and was topped with a golden-brown cheddar crust. It looked indulgent and hearty. Digging in, the savory stew beneath revealed generous chunks of beef, celery, and carrots, nestled under a layer of hash browns and melted cheese. The flavor was rich and comforting, although the cheesy crust was a bit too salty for my palate — otherwise, a satisfying and warming dish, especially for a cold day. The Smoky Grilled Chicken plate (third photo) was a lighter, more straightforward option. Two grilled chicken breasts were served alongside steamed broccoli and sweet corn. The chicken was seasoned well, but didn’t quite stand out — a solid choice for those looking for a leaner, healthier meal. Unfortunately, our first-choice dessert, the Strawberry Ice Box Pie, was unavailable. We opted for the Coca-Cola Brownie Cake with vanilla ice cream instead, which sadly didn’t deliver. The brownie was too light and lacked the fudgy richness we were hoping for — not one we’d recommend. This is the first time I ever didn't like my food at cracker barrel. The string beans tasted like some melted plastic was cooked on that grill or something and it tainted a lot of the food.

Our food, as always at Cracker Barrel was very good, actually we thought the food was awesome at this particular Cracker Barrel. Our service here was a completely different experience. I will say our server was friendly, it was downhill after that. Our order came out incomplete (couple missing items), a table of 4 was given 3 biscuits (a different server brought out more). Our server only came back to our table to bring the check, she did bring boxes after we asked for them. She charged us for 3 sides that were supposed to be part of the meal (ultimately this is on me for not looking over the check before paying) however she should have know better, or needs better training on what is included with meals. Since we were visiting family for the holidays the likelihood of returning to this Cracker Barrel is small, however the service we received should never happen at Cracker Barrel anywhere.

The waitress was very nice but unfortunately our food wasn’t hot and it took a bit for drinks to come out. My mom got blueberry pancakes and they weren’t done in the middle, that tells me that they didn’t coat the blueberries in flour before putting them in the pancakes. The hashbrown casserole was either sitting out or was cooked too long because the outside was hard and dry and it didn’t seem like it was from baking. Idk if they have new staff both front and back of house but it seems they need more training.

The poor service continues. The past few times that my family and I have eaten that the Cracker Barrel Restaurant, the service has been poor. This last visit on 12/21/24 was the worst service so far. Right from the beginning, our waitress has a poor attitude. When we were seated, we didn't get silverware. Our meal arrives from a different wait staff member, and the order is wrong for three of us in our family of four. We tell the person that delivered our food that we have no silverware to eat our food with. That person says they will get some, so we wait and we wait while our food is getting cold. Finally, we tell another waitress that we have no silverware to eat our food, so she goes back and disappears as well. Several more minutes later, the second waitress we asked came out with a basket of silverware. Finally we could start eating our cold food. I had also ordered a salad which arrived after I finished half of my entire. We did not see a manager moving about the dining area to check to make sure things were going smoothly. In past visits about a year ago, there was a manager watching the dining area, making sure things went smoothly. We have complained about this restaurant before and let Cracker Barrel's customer relation know of the problem, but they do nothing about it. I guess it is time to eat elsewhere.

I used to love Cracker Barrel, but things, chain wide, seem to have gone downhill. The best thing about the restaurant is the store. That's pretty much the same as it has always been but the food and atmosphere in the restaurant itself it's not like it used to be. There are still some interesting antiques on the walls but the decor is much more sparse. A lot less to catch your interest. The biggest deal is the food though. I know they did this years ago, but it's still disappointing that the maple syrup is not pure maple syrup anymore, rather a mixture of sugar syrup and maple syrup. It doesn't taste the same. I ordered the Friday fish special, which comes with four pieces of fish. I was astonished that the four pieces are about two bites each. It looks like they took one fish fillet, cut it into four pieces, breaded them, and called it four fillets. Both the mashed potatoes and carrots were room temperature cold! The carrots were watery and bland with absolutely no taste. Lastly, I ordered the cornbread muffins, and they didn't arrive until I was finished with my meal. I don't think I will ever order anything at Cracker Barrel again except for pancakes, if I go again. The employees were pleasant.

Maybe cracker barrel is different up north but the food was just ok. The meats were dry and salty. Felt like typical diner food and nothing special. Atmosphere is the same as in most cracker barrel locations. Service was great. But overall I can't fully recommend this location since the food was just ok. Not bad but not great either.

I used to love Cracker Barrel for the quality of the food and the portions. The past 2 times eating dinner there have been disappointing. I had the turkey dinner tonight. The piece of turkey was small, thin and dry. The sides were also small, especially the corn. I’m sure that it was significantly less than a quarter cup. The sweet potato mash was also measly. I think I’ll give Cracker Barrel one more try and if it’s 3 strikes they’ll be out of my choices of places to eat when I visit the US.

The first time we ate here, the biscuits were barely baked. The next time the chicken tenders looked pathetic and just not up to standards. We had recently stopped twice at the Cracker Barrel in State College, PA and had very good food. I just feel that Horseheads, NY needs a lot of help in their food preparation.

It's hit and miss, this last time I was here I got had the sampler plate, 2 of the entrees were cold and one was really hot, it wasn't terrible but would have been nice if it was all fresh and hot. The staff is always pretty nice and helpful and the atmosphere is nice except the tables are so close together it's like your sharing tables with everyone else when it's crowded, no personal space. It's only a place we go when the the other restaurants are to long of a wait.

I am getting more and more disappointed with the menu choices at Cracker Barrel. Fried chicken looked good, but I prefer dark meat, and on Tuesday I believed that wasn't an option. However, the waitress said that the 4 piece fried chicken was available. It tasted like it was the weekend's fried chicken and they had stuck it into the microwave. I used to love the maple bacon chicken, and with 2 breasts, it was perfect to share with my husband. But you don't have that anymore. The smaller menu items don't include catfish (a single one, not 2) which is an item I like to have when I go to Cracker Barrel. It's getting very difficult to order anything at Cracker Barrel for those of us with smaller appetites that can't really take leftovers home.

I usually love cracker barrel breakfast. Not this time! The server wouldn't listen. We had multiple food allergies at the table and she didn't listen to them (or the cook just didn't care). The coffee was burn and bitter. When we asked for assistance we pretty much got an "Oh well". The atmosphere, it's Cracker Barrel! That's always a neat looking place.

The place is crowded and noisy on weekends. The servers seem friendly but always running around in a stressed, chaotic manner. The breakfast combos are not exactly inexpensive. The sausages and bacon look cheap and taste bland. The eggs look pre-made similar to what you get at McDonald's. Most people can cook a better looking and better tasting breakfast at home. Why bother eat out and spend money for this quality?

I went with my family to Cracker Barrel Old Country Store this past Saturday for breakfast, and honestly, it was one of the worst dining experiences we’ve had in a long time. The food was terrible—cheap quality, bland, and nowhere near what Cracker Barrel used to be known for. To make things worse, they’ve changed the menu, and it’s now confusing and misleading with the pricing. For a simple breakfast for three people, without ordering anything special, the bill came to $71. Absolutely outrageous for the level of food and service we received. Nothing tasted fresh, and the value is completely gone. Cracker Barrel used to be a reliable spot for a hearty, reasonably priced breakfast, but those days are clearly over. We left feeling disappointed and ripped off. Sadly, we won’t be coming back.

Meatloaf was ok, 9 french fries and half a cup of tasteless cole slaw. Grilled chicken was kind of tasteless as well. Braised roast beef was good. Portions pretty small

Is this a joke Cracker Barrel? I usually don’t like to post negative reviews but this is not a breakfast, especially one advertised as the “Smokehouse Breakfast” which I would expect to be protein heavy. It did come with Biscuits and Gravy, but 2 tiny sausage patties and 2 scrambled eggs leaves for a mostly empty plate and stomach. I could have gone to Denny’s or a regular Diner and gotten a full plate of food for the same price. I’ve never had a problem with Cracker Barrel before but this is pathetic.

We were seated immediately. We waited 15 minutes for someone to speak to us. I finally waved down the hostess and she said she would find someone. Five more minutes and a waitress showed up. She told my granddaughter and me that she had been out the night before and was toasted. She came back ten minutes later with my coffee and water. She somehow splashed my granddaughters hot chocolate on her face so she said she would drink it. She said she had to climb up on a shelf to get the syrup before she could make her another cup. More time goes by and I asked if we could get biscuits. She brought them. Meanwhile at least three tables came after us and were eating already. Finally food and we ate. We go to pay and the cashier asked how everything was. I told her. She called the manager over and he says he’s sorry and he hopes our next experience will be better because they are better than that! Cashier said I thought he would comp your meal. I said I have a gift card maybe he could comp the remaining balance. She called him back over and he looks at the bill and says, I guess I could take the drinks off. I told him at the beginning I would prefer to tell them what happened instead of leaving a lousy review. Apparently he preferred the lousy review so here it is.

Very bad experience, it was not very busy but was told that the kitchen was behind( lots of empty table after 25 min was told our order was in the next round and should be another 15-20 min 20 mins later our food came out it was Luke warm at best and the onion petals where burnt . As I checked out I told the girl upfront about our experience and she said with an attitude you should have told the kitchen manager nothing I can do . Cracker Barrel you need to do a heck of a lot better and what happen to customers service?

Paid extra for doordash express. It got here in perfect timing which means it did NOT leave that restaurant HOT!! It was ICE COLD, rubbery bacon, overcooked disgusting sausage, cold gravy, coke French toast, all of it!! $19 refund by doordash on a $70 order that went in the trash!! Thought I’d give one more chance and this is what I get. Gross!

Order was taken fairly promptly but that's the only positive. When the food arrived all but one item was freezing cold. The server said he'd take it all away and have it remade. It was returned a few minutes later microwaved to destruction (very hot and extremely dry and flavorless). Server asked if it was better, and just shrugged when we said it obviously wasn't remade as he'd said it would be, but had been microwaved, then avoided us until bringing the check and a drink refill as a sweetener! If we didn't know that there are good Cracker Barrels out there, this place would put us off ever visiting one again. When we went to pay they asked if it was all good and when we said cold then over microwaved they just shrugged. Guess no one here really cares

We are regular guests and came with our service dog. No one said anything until after we ordered the food — all with fake politeness, of course. When the food arrived, the waitress didn’t even come herself but sent a guy to tell us that the dog couldn’t sit on the chair and had to be on the floor. The dog weighs barely 4 pounds and is so small you can hardly see her. Naturally, we got up and left the food.

Really disappointed me and the husband was charged for a salad with our entree. And also charged for a baked potato. Salad usually comes with our entree. I was confused by that. Our bill was expansive with paying for sides. The service was great though. Probably won’t be back. Applebees is the cheaper alternative.
