Opinions de Coastline Pizzeria Houston
Well, sometimes you get on a pizza kick, and want to try out all the newbies to Houston. This was so good, would definitely return. I love Gypsy Poet, but this beats it by a couple of points. The marinara sauce was so good, that is what really stood out. Also, I ate the crust, so the entire slice which is rare for me. I got mozzarella on half the pizza and no cheese on the other half, both were good, and flavorful. Got mushrooms and pepperoni, delicious. Also, cheesecake to go was amazing. Blackberry sauce with blueberries on top. Will return and get the shrimp appetizer. Service was top notch.
Ordered two: the first was a Neapolitan-style pie loaded with arugula, prosciutto, goat cheese, and a drizzle of balsamic. Super fresh, light, and flavorful. The crust had that perfect blistered edge and soft chew inside - exactly how it should be. The second was a rectangular pizza with a crispy edge and a little spice kick. Between the sausage, banana peppers, ricotta dollops, and the bright tomato sauce, every bite had this amazing balance of tangy and savory. The vibe inside was relaxed and modern -- perfect for a casual lunch or a low-key dinner with friends. Service was friendly without being overbearing, and everything came out hot and fast. Overall, Coastline Pizzeria might be one of Houston's best hidden gems for pizza. Also The Tiramisu is a sleeper, it was literally insane with my cappuccino. Also, shout out to Armando, he's such a nice dude, you can tell he loves his craft, and I'm happy to support his business.
I learned about Coastline on social media and I am so thankful that I did! Wow! Our tastebuds were blown away and our stomachs were beyond satisfied! Some of the best pizzas we have had! They have two different pizza crust styles. One is a traditional circular Neapolitan style crust cooked in a pizza oven. The other is an oval shaped with a more flat and slightly crunchier style. Both were phenomenal in their own way! We started off with the meatball appetizer. One of the best meatballs we have had! A great way to start off our meal! My mom and sister wanted to try both styles. They ordered the A La Vodka Neapolitan style (they ordered it without olives and added goat cheese) and the OG grilled pizza style (added pepperonis and only had the Pepperoncini only on half). I ordered the veg life grilled pizza style (I ordered it without olives and added mushrooms and pickled onions) I loved how the grilled pizza crust had the herb flavor. A great flavor addition! We recommend trying both styles! Both are great in their own way! We found the grilled style reheated better for leftovers. The service was good! Laid back but attentive and took the time to ensure you have a wonderful experience! Easily one of the BEST pizza places in Houston! We can’t wait to go back!!!
Our waiter was the best, so funny and polite! The atmosphere here is upscale relaxed. Def a great place to grab a bite and a drink. Pizza 10/10!! The only complaint is.. the building shares with a cafe and I accidentally walked into the wrong place so just be careful to enter the correct door. Also, there is parking which is definitely nice!
Came for lunch, sat at the bar, had the Italian sandwich, olives and an Arnold Palmer. The bartender was super friendly. Very cool dining room. Sandwich was very good. Perfect portion.
What a great 1st stop as we got to town. Bree was sooo helpful. Explaining menu items, telling us about the restaurant, giving tons of suggestions on where to go, eat and even a list of coffee shops. Jason gave us a list of breweries he favors. The food: GREAT! We ordered the buffalo pizza and salad to share. Just enough kick in the chicken. Portion was perfect, we ate it all. Hands down the best pizza crust I've had and we eat pizza weekly. I can't recommend them enough.
We went for HH and drinks were great! Pizza was not on the HH menu and were delicious. Atmosphere was fun and inviting. Decent parking lot but we were also there at 5pm before Friday night crowds.
Amazing pies and engaging staff. Both the Neapolitan and grill pizzas were stellar! We intentionally over ordered so we could have left overs and that almost didn't happen because the pizza was so damn good... so good👌
Good spot. We enjoyed the food and service. Got the following, with asterisks to indicate what we enjoyed: - Margherita DOP* - The H-Town* - Drink: Athletic Brewing NA Beer
This place is so good. Personal pizza and a Caesar salad for $15? Sold. The bar is great too. DeLorean was took great care of us. Make a point to go here soon
First time here and we will definitely be returning. We tried both types of pizzas and they were both delicious!
Only good things to say about this place! Great food and drinks especially the carajillo. Everything is just amazing and we’re never disappointed with anything we have tried. 10/10! 5 stars!
By far one of the BEST pizzas I have had in a VERY long time. The atmosphere was great. They had a huge TV to watch the Texans and I felt the fun environment. It’s very personable with the staff. I love how comfortable they make you feel- it’s definitely a family causal vibe. I would come back. I even sat in the back with the open window style seating where your sitting inside but there is no window- just super calming looking at the cars! Great spot!
First time at Coastline Artisan Pizzeria at 1720 Houston Avenue for lunch on Saturday at about 11:45. Cute place with a friendly vibe and very pleasant dining room. About 10 or 12 tables for 2 to 4 and 10 bar seats. I realize I am not sure if they had music playing or not. It was about half full most of the time and the noise level was great, and I didn’t notice. They offer a variety of small plates, a house salad and tomato bisque. They have two types of pizza, “Napoletana” and “Grilled Pizza". I had a House salad for $10, two glasses of Chardonnay for $10 each, a Diet Coke for $2, and I had the Motherland pizza (grilled) for $16 and added pepperoni and Italian sausage for $3 each. My bill was $72.71 including tax and 22% tip. Right on point for the price was the quality of the food and two glasses of wine. The House Salad was good, nothing special but crisp and fresh, a perfect size and had just enough shaved Parmesan. The vinaigrette was subtle and could have been a little more present. The pizza was AMAZING! Among the best I have had for a very long time! The combination of marinara and pesto was delicious. The other ingredients were plentiful, and the sauce and spices were incredibly flavorful. The crust was crispy (I like it very crispy, and it was perfect for me). I didn’t stop to think about the difference between the Napoletana style pizza and the grilled. My neighbors had the Napoletana, and they looked delicious and perfectly cooked as well. I had to show great restraint to not eat more than half! I cannot recommend this pizza enough! The service was good. Once we got over two small humps, he was great. He was friendly and just the right level of attentiveness. Two minor gripes. Because I often dine alone, I notice how singles are treated. When I entered, I was asked if I “was one,” and when I said yes, the server said, “Have a seat at the bar.” He didn’t ask if I wanted to sit there. There were two two-top tables available, so I asked to sit at one and he hesitated and said “okay”. It is a smaller place but for the hour I was there at least one other two top tables were open and really, a couple can do just as well at the bar as a single. If it had been full and the only option for others would have been to wait, I can understand, but not when there is seating available for 16ish other people available. Second my wine did not show up until halfway through my salad. The bartender could have easily moved things along faster if he wasn’t chatting with a coworker or manager who was sitting at the bar. He didn’t seem in any hurry. Otherwise, the server was great (4 stars!). Overall, an excellent experience and I will definitely return soon. I highly recommend Coastline Artisan Pizzeria. I can’t wait to return and bring some friends and try other pizzas!
This was a awsome experience! This was my first time visiting. Highly recommended by a friend and it did not disappoint! Francisco was our server and he made us feel right at home. The drinks were very creative and the food was amazing! We ordered the OG pizza with grilled chicken and onion. SO GOOD! We also ordered a House salad with some tomato bisque and it was absolutely delicious. I want to come back to try the dinner offerings. This place is a gem!
Only waited about 15 minutes to get seated on a Saturday night so seating is limited but not too bad. Started with Meatballs and Salmon Cakes, both of which were delicious (the salmon cake was my favorite.) The Margherita pizza is a good choice of you're going for a classic, but the OG pizza was a fantastic of flavors, highly recommend. The Cheesecake with Strawberry Basil Jam was rich and creamy, not super dense. Great meal, 10/10 would recommend.
During our trip to Italy, we tried a local Margherita pizza for the first time and it was a delight. Living in Houston, we had been looking for a place to find something similar for a long time, and had tried many. And then, one Saturday night, we visited this establishment for the first time, and were pleasantly surprised - it was exactly what we had been looking for for so long. Delicious margaritas! But everything else we ordered was on top, including drinks. Atmosphere, interior, service - everything was excellent.

Great community spot. The staff was friendly and super knowledgeable about the drinks menu and food preparation options. Craft cocktails were delicious, and we tried four kinds of their specialty pizzas, and all were hot, fresh, delicious. This was our first time here, but I already want to go back.
Really, really good pizza with kind wait staff. Probably top 3 pizzas in Houston. Small space, but cozy. Drinks are creative and taste good but could be stronger. Parking is tight in the back lot, but some street parking is available. Will definitely be back.

I stumbled across Coastline Pizzeria while looking for somewhere to grab a bite for dinner. I was pleasantly surprised. The cozy ambiance and excellent fare made my night. The service was attentive but not over the top. I had the Bianca with pepperoni and mushrooms added. It's a tasty Neopolitan style pizza loaded with flavor. Well worth the visit. Located on Houston Ave it's easily accessible from downtown.
What a great place! I've lived less than a mile from this place for a few years now and only recently discovered it existed! I went there last night for the first time and wow, just amazing! A friend of mine and I tried 4 different cocktails (they were: Ghetto Bird, Blackberry Cobbler, Made in the Shade and TX Praline) and all of them were absolutely stellar. If you're looking for great cocktails and great pizza, this is your place. We have no complaints and will definitely be back.

This pizzeria is such a great find! The ingredients are top quality and the food is exceptionally good — you can really tell everything is made with care. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, perfect for a night out with family or friends. They also have amazing drinks, super friendly service, and a great ambient music playlist that really adds to the overall vibe. The food does take a little time to come out, but honestly, it just gives you more time to relax, enjoy your drink, and have a good conversation. Everything was worth the wait, and I’m already looking forward to going back!

Highs: We were seated immediately. The pizza was really good…just a bit wet 9/10. The meatballs were a 8/10. Lows: The table wasn’t cleaned. Maybe the cleaning products they used. I ordered a Dr. Pepper and the guy poured it into a glass over ice and then poured the rest into a port glass…which he then gave to the bartender. The bartender let it sit for a minute or two…then I watched him drink it. I was watching from my table as this occurred. I know this shouldn’t have happened and it made me quite upset…but for the sake of my bf…I didn’t ask to speak to the manager. I just know now…ask in advance for them NOT to open my drink. I’m not overreacting, because I then watched another person order a drink and they brought it to their table unopened with the glass of ice and straw on the side.
