Mexcal always delivers on all aspects of what makes an outstanding restaurant and bar combo. It’s delicious food never disappoints. We have been here many times before but the enchiladas tonight really motivated me to write this google review. The green enchiladas were flavorful and authentic. The drinks refreshing and well made. The service is top notch which carried us to enjoy the music and vibes.

What attracted me was the Art. Once inside, The hostess was very friendly and the waitress Ericka very friendly as well she took my order then offered to take my photos. I had the lemon pepper wings, great taste. Definitely recommend!

We ordered a full order of Nachos. It's a good size appetizer, smaller portion than the average order of "FULL" nachos but delicious. The bartender is not consistent with the cocktails. Its always a hit and miss. We ordered two exact margaritas and one came out very watery and the other slushy. Food can take along time to get delivered after ordered. I ordered an appetizer and I thought they had forgotten about it. It eventually came out. I personally think that some of the staff may just lack experience. My parents ordered two bottles of beer and never recieved them. Our waitress never put in the order. I LOVE the restaurant! I LOVE the whole vibe at MeXcal!!! My manager last night was real quick and non hesitant to make our experience a GREAT ONE!! I'll be back!!!

This is our 2nd time here and well what can I say, but its really really good. Food is great people are friendly and the place is exceptionally clean !!!

My husband and I went today to watch the game. They actually turned the big screen outside for us, and also turned it up so we could hear it. It was very nice and clean resturant. The customer service was awesome. The consistently checked on is to make sure we lacked for nothing. The food and drinks were great. They instantly provided us with chips and salsa which was very good and fresh. Everything was exceptional, they have plenty of parking and yesss it's free parking lol. We will definitely be back soon with some friends. This is our new hang out spot. We really enjoyed everything from the staff at the front door to the staff that assisted us on the patio. Thank everyone tor taking such great care of us.

This afternoon I went to a new restaurant new in town I had been wanting to try MEXCAL Cantina Pacifico on the North Fwy. The place is large with Both indoor and outdoor seating, large food n drink menus, lots of televisions including a huge one outside for all sporting events, certain days of the week they have live concerts, Huge Bar, a Friendly and Courteous staff plus many Amazing Murals of famous Latino Entertainers including Selena! I had the Chicken Enchiladas con Crema which was severed with Regried Beans n Rice Hot and Delicious. Plus plenty of parking. This has something for everyone I highly recommend it!😋🇲🇽🍲🍛🍹🍺🤘

I decided to give this place a second chance, and I have to say I am impressed. Mercy was my server, and she was very attentive. She was amazing and had great customer service. The camarones al mojo were great, and the margarita was great.

This is just the 3rd day opened and the staff and place is awesome. Just and FYI, since they barely opened they have a small menu for now but they said they will have a full blown menu within the next few days. This is a place to definitely go to with friends and family for drinks and enjoy the food. They play all kinds of music and they also have live bands. Big outside patio sitting and inside. Huge TVs that you can spot from the freeway as well

From the hostess, waitress to the manager coming to your table all the staff is very welcoming. The food is fantastic and the drinks are great. The ceviche tropical is delicious. The shrimp zarandeado sauce is incredible !!!

It was my first time here, it's a very nice place. I loved the Selena mural ❤️ We had margaritas 🍹 and appetizers (mexican corn & flamed cheese w/fajitas), the first margarita was delicious, but the second needed more liquor. 😆 I had read on some reviews they charged for chips & and salsa, but they were free. I can agree the music 🎶 was a bit loud but the selection was good so we enjoyed it. They do have mariaches and live bands. Overall, it's a nice, clean environment, friendly service, and had a good time. Next visit, I will try their menu selection.

Delicious drinks and food! The staff were very accommodating to our request. We initially only stop by to get a drink before going over to the steak house next door. 1 drink turned to 2 then 3 and after looking on their instagram I stumbled on a picture of a seafood platter. Even though they already took it off the menu they offered to make it for us! You can’t pass off a special order, and man was it worth it. We even had enough to take home. We will definitely be back again!

This place just opened and I had the carnitas tacos (you dress yourself) some of the best tasting I’ve had to date REALLY tender meat. It’s a soft opening so the menu is limited right now but I will definitely return to try the other food. Building is big and decor is so cute …. Patio season is upon us I can tell this place is going to be packed the patio is huge !!! Check them out !!

The food was delish! Soft, flavorful steak and shrimp. Customer service was excellent. The menu is different than a typical Mexican restaurant but the fajita equivalent was very tasty. The restaurant is huge and has a large inside and outside space that could hold large parties.

Trust me when I say this is the place to be on a Friday night. Jennifer our bartender was great. I didn't know if I wanted to sit inside or outside this place is beautiful. The micheladas are awesome. When I arrived at a place I stay from 3 to 4 hours, so my review can be based on my experience. The DJ and banda were amazing . I arrived at 7ish and left around 11 pm I did see one table one guy actually that was over served on drinks. At 1st he was singing dancing then he was barley standing. I left and he was still there drinking yikes! I will be back to dine in.

I've visited this restaurant twice, and it's always bustling with activity. The music is lively, creating a fun atmosphere. They host live banda performances on Saturdays, and the outdoor patio is an excellent space for birthday celebrations, events, or gatherings. I truly enjoyed my experiences there.

First off the quality of meat is far greater than any other Mexican,tex mex spot, or late nite spot around! We are from the Caribbean so we are particular about the quality of food we try. That back patio is everything. The music was too loud so it is hard to have a conversation. So maybe sit as far back as you can, if you’re with a group and needing to have conversation. This was my first time patronizing this restaurant and it definitely will not be my last excellent atmosphere for a date night for all the adults does have urban style music with a mix of Tejano rap and regular modern genre hip-hop music when we came they happen to have a live DJ and the atmosphere was giving leave your kids at home and have a good time. Please keep in mind. I went on a Sunday evening now different days of the week experiences may differ, but it is a family environment as well.

I came to leave a review based on my great experience and was surprised to see a negative review from the table I was sitting next to. I'll start with mine before I correct the negative one. I had a wonderful birthday dinner with my husband. The food was great, music was great and service was excellent. Jennifer was also my server and she is definitely a hard working server that was going above and beyond. She was very accommodating and sweet. I overheard the conversation with the table next to me and Jennifer's words were "If I could move you 4-5 times I would." And as far as the sour cream comment she said "oh I'm sorry the food runner must have forgotten to bring it, but I'll be sure to personally grab it for you right now" I understand some people might try to leave bad reviews in hopes of getting a discount, but to blatantly lie is not okay. I'm just glad I was there to witness it! I would definitely come back to this location and if I can specifically ask for Jennifer to be my server I will! Amazing job and amazing restaurant. This was our first time to this restaurant, but it provides a great atmosphere and authentic Mexican food. It was pretty crowded, but the crazy part was that they had reserved parking, for I assume special guest. I say that because the cones blocked off parking spots close to the front door, and by the time we were walking out, those spots were taken. Our waiter was checking in on us when we first arrived, but once the crowd came in, we had to hunt him down for the check. Our drink wasn't as strong as I expected it to be, but the Hispanic sitting next to us had her drink filled to the top of her glass and very strong, she gave us her drink and she ordered a new one for herself. The drink was named after Selena song, Como La Flor. I hate that we missed the mariachi band coming in on our way out. The music they had playing on the overhead was a bit too loud. Oh, they give drinks when they come to your table with a birthday song playing.

I give it a three not in food but in the drinks. We alcohol drinks but we mainly got juice or mixers not much liquor in them. Very disappointed in that. Also, the live banda that was there was terrible, should've just kept the DJ going, he would hype the crowd and then the band would come on and you couldn'tunderstand what he was singing and unless you were in the all ladies tables then it was boring. The food was pretty good here. I had ceviche can't remember name of cocktail but it was pretty good. The problem was the service. Very slow. On a Friday night, they were busy but had plenty of staff seemed to lack organization or good management of staff serving. They delayed our plans for the night a bit because of this reason. Hope they make some improvements if we do decide to return.

Why have the music so loud the floor was vibrating and no one at your table could hold a conversation??? I dont mind a live band but having all of them stand in what a 10' circle with instruments and scream over the microphones? Those waitresses will have hearing issues if they stay employed there very long! Sorry I will not be back.

The atmosphere was nice, and first impressions of the staff were good, but I wish I could say the same about the food. We ordered queso, enchiladas, ceviche, and some seafood soup. The seafood plates were good, but the Mexican food was disappointing. The queso was too thick and probably needed to be heated up more. The enchiladas were smothered in cheese, which is not what I ordered as chicken with salsa verde was what I ordered. The rice tasted like it was reheated as it was cumply and not fresh, while the refried beans were ok. I tried using some of the free salsa you get with chips, but I ended up scraping the cheese from the enchiladas to make them edible as the cheese was cheap and chewy. Unfortunately, even the filling and tortillas couldn't save this dish. I asked for extra salsa verde as the waitress kept insisting that the dish I received was correct, which I was promptly charged for as a side dip. So if you're looking for good Mexican food, just go to the other places right before this one on the same street.

Firstly, our waitress was amazing. She checked on us regularly, had things coming quick and was always smiling and having a good time. The food and drinks were hot and very tasty. I left pretty full and happy by the end. The place is very intricate and pretty. Lots of cool looking stuff to see and great layout. Unfortunately my only issue (and it might have been just that Friday night) was that they had a dj and a mariachi band play and it was LOUD. Like waaaay loud. I love going to metal shows so I know loud and this was unnecessarily loud. But other than that cool place. Probably go again.

We decided to try somewhere new and decided to go visit Mexcal for lunch. The establishment had just opened so there wasn’t a wait. We decided to sit outside since it wasn’t too hot out. I found it a little odd that the handy man kept “fixing” things that just so happen were by us and didn’t look like they had any problems with it. There are fans, but none by the sitting the area. We ordered the Elote Asado, oysters, 2 tostadas and 2 margaritas that totaled out to be $60 before tipping. The Elote was bland and over priced. I’ve had better at food carts in the park. The tostada was very good but again I don’t think it was worth the price. The margaritas were pretty good, but they charge a dollar for each flavor which it doesn’t state on their menu. The service was ok. She didn’t over us water until we were about to leave. I don’t know if I would want to return and try anything else from here.

Ok guys here we go and fair is fair. Those are my rules for reviews. I went here on a Friday afternoon around 1300 to be exact. Place was dead very understandable still early. I order a limonada and girl that made it had no idea what she was doing with either the limonada powder or real lemons ( I doubt it) anyhow I order water instead. The whole vibe of the place made me just say thank you and that was it. I will be fair like I said and I will return in the evening on a weekend to give it a second review. For now this place is on my Do Not recommend list. Hope that can change.

On weekends, the food quality tends to be lower because the restaurant gets very busy and the dishes feel rushed. However, during the weekdays, the food is noticeably better since they’re not as overwhelmed and can take more time preparing each meal.

WORST service my family ever received. We moved from outside to inside cause it was too loud from the highway. Our waitress, Jennifer, informed us that we were not allowed to move anymore because her manager said so. Which I understand but it was incredibly rude to say it the way she did. Our waitress wasn't very helpful when we asked questions "I don't know, but in Spanish" This place charges for salsa & chips, (each order) Twice had to send back chips due to one being over cooked (as you can see) the other had numerous chips under cooked soggy 2nd, My group was given a cup of water that had hair on it. The individual didn't realize it, until it was brought up. They have live music, dudes came around charging $30 to play a Mexican song. The group blast their instruments (a trombone) next to you where you can't hear your group speaking! Trashy! Make sure to check your tickets!!

First time here Came here to celebrate our 15th anniversary food was cold they charged 25$ for 6 shrimps and tiped themselves without letting us know for a party of 4 when it was only 2 of us asked for warm butter they took forever and still brought it cold not coming here again I felt they tried to scam us we asked for a receipt they said the machine wasn't working gave us a receipt that was blurry. Beware

The place just opened and it looks nice inside. But the food sucks and is expensive. I had a cóctel mexcal and it was super watered down. Also instead of chips and salsa they give bread. I won't be going again

The restaurant was slow despite having plenty of waitstaff, and it took quite a while just to get our drink orders in. We ordered nachos, wings, and tacos. Unfortunately, the tortillas and chicken were served cold, and the chicken wings were overcooked.

Ordered camaron brocheta and most of them were extremely burnt, I brought it to the waitress attention nothing was done. You would think for the price I was charged for food it would be great

First of all it only about 20 customers in here when I arrived. The place can hold a couple hundred. Next, I sat at the bar for 5 minutes and no one acknowledged me. I ordered Crab fingers....half a pound was $23 and this is what I got. So disappointed in the size. And the attentiveness that a bartender should have, was non existent today. I don't think I will be back.... It's it's like this at a non peak time... I would hate to be here when it's busy. I used to like this place... But today rubbed me the wrong way.

I have been here twice trying to get the best experience. Unfortunately, the food was good but service and the menu left much to wonder. They have no number on the website to order and I had to go in person. First time I went in person I asked for something on the menu and they did not have it, next thing I asked for on the menu same, they did not have it?! Waitress, came back and said that the chef had to offer shrimp quesadilla and they were absolutely delicious but the fact that they really don't have a menu to offer is fake. Absolutely worst service ever!

If there was a way to give them a zero star, I would. Tonight was the first time visiting this establishment. My husband and I wanted to try something new for our night out. Unfortunately, this place has left my husband and I feeling physically sick. We had shared the dish called mar y tierra. Which is a dish that has melted cheese on top of the fajita. Half way done with the fajita my husband tasted something minty. To our horror we found spearmint gum in the fajita. Which he did in fact eat part of. I don't think the manager understood how serious this matter is nor the employee that is responsible for this dilemma. Blood-borne pathogens can easily be transmitted in this way. We spoke to the night shift manager in which he stated he would check the cameras and that he would give us a call. We paid for our drinks, but not the food. I will say the atmosphere was great, the service was fast, and our server was attentive. However, we will not be returning to this place. We will be seeking legal council if either one of us get sick from this.

Do yourself a favor and DON’T GO to this place. It’s overpriced for the area. Food is a joke, I don’t even wanna write about it and house margaritas are just lime frappé no flavour of tequila at all. Even the draft beers tasted weird. I think this is the first time ever I rate 1 star a place. Service is less than decent. They still don’t know the menu and take a lot of time to get the orders. I had to wait for more than 10 min to get my double tequila shot. No kidding. And plus no salt no lime at all with your shot. On the other hand the place is and looks new. It’s actually kind of beautiful but above all things I won’t go back. I like good food and good drinks and even if the place is not that beautiful I’d keep on going just for that.

In a nutshell… at arrival to restaurant Friday October 3rd I was patted down and informed that I couldn’t bring in a pocket knife, no biggie to the truck it goes. Security guard offered to secure it he asked my name, he then gave the hostess my name and knife. Which was great because truck was ways away and we were ready to be seated. After we ate the band came out (which was great) unfortunately it got a bit too loud to enjoy conversation, we paid the bill, tipped, thank the staff for service and walked out. Yes we left and I forgot about my knife. Once I arrived home I called and was relieved to hear it was being Safekept m. Stopped by next day at 11 am and knife was nowhere to be found. I was asked to call after 7pm when security guard should be there, called at 7pm and security guard wasn’t there but that I would get a call from a manager (this happened for several days after)… they had my info so I trusted that they would call. After 4-5 calls and requests to speak to a manager. I still haven’t received a return call. Knife wasn’t the cheapest knife out there but more importantly it had sentimental value.

BEWARE - keep an eye on your belongings! Sooo disappointed with Mexcal! We planned a date night to have dinner/drinks here and drove out from Conroe. When we arrived, we were very surprised to see a security guard patting down males and searching female's purses. After all, this is a restaurant not a club! Anyway, the security guard tells my boyfriend he cannot have a pocket knife clipped to his belt. Fine - no problem I guess, he was about to go put the knife in the car but the security guard said he could hold onto it for us. We went against our better judgement and let him hold the knife while we entered the restaurant and were seated. Unfortunately, with everything going on, we completely forgot to ask for the knife back when we left the restaurant. We called the restaurant as soon as we got home and they assured us it would be waiting for us the next day upon opening (Sunday - 11am)..We show up and no knife in the lost and found..suddenly that particular security guard "doesn't work there all the time" and "is off for several days at a time"..honestly, we are not surprised that he stole the knife as it was a very expensive gift and he was wayyy to insistent to hold it for us instead of us putting it back in the car..BUT what we are most disappointed about is that MEXCAL has not accepted any responsibility for this. Regardless of whether the security guard was a direct hire for them or was an employee thru a third party company, he was still there that night working for MEXCAL. The restaurant manager has dodged all of our calls since this happened last Saturday. A simple apology and an acknowledgement of responsibility for the theft would have sufficed for us. Food was fine, normal plates both portion an price wise. Service was okay, did have to wait a bit longer than what I would have liked for refills and our bill. The live entertainment was definitely the best part of this place and really the only positive aspect of a ruined date night.

Fried fish and shrimp was great, fried rice had no flavor even after adding soy sauce, and the topper, charging me for tartar sauce when I was only provided one small portion. Unfortunately waitress did not know anything about food and what they were serving. Shrimp cocktail was embarrassing to eat. Two medium/large shrimp. 6-8 small shrimp in sauce. Will not be revisiting here.
