I've been on the hunt for a really great buffalo chicken wrap in Houston. The hunt is over. Sawyer Ice House has the best Buffalo Chicken Wrap in town - by far. Great beer selection and friendly staff too.

Great ice house. Good vibes, reasonably priced drinks, surprisingly very yummy queso. Great place to chill and play a board game. The frozen lemonade is delicious, but it is killer. Order with caution.

Sawyer is one of my families favorite places! The food is amazing and the staff is even better! Slim is a bartender at Sawyer and she is always the best!! I look for her in a crowded bar, because I always know her service is top tier along with her infectious smile making my experience enjoyable. If you havent made it out to sawyer yet, I challenge you to a game of “Where’s Slim”

This is my new neighborhood hang out, just moved to the Heights and they have some of the best bartenders and food. Stephen was here tonight and he made perfect drinks, was super on top of everything and is so friendly in spite of how busy he was managing trivia (which was also super fun!). The other bartenders I’ve met (Jason is one of them I think) are also some of the best I’ve ever had! Can’t recommend this place enough and I’ve been coming here a lot since the move.

Stopped here yesterday to hang with the ladies for a little birthday outing and the atmosphere was great! Every one was super friendly and welcoming. Ten and Stephen were great bartenders! The server was super nice! Food is FRESH and drinks were AWESOME! The Mango Whiskey sour was my Fav! Super refreshing. Let’s not forget how CLEAN the place was. This will be one of our go to spots from now on.

Such a great spot for food and drinks! Their beer selection is amazing and the bartenders make the most amazing craft cocktails! The outside area is also great for dogs or kids. You gotta try their wings and the Houston cheesesteak when you go!

Great vibe. Lots of TVs if you are wanting to watch an event and a great outdoor space. Best Michelada I have had yet. We had an event there for work and was able to reserve some space easily. The owner was friendly, helpful and had all tables set up when we got there.

The star of the show has to be the buffalo wings pictured below. The chicken was beyond juicy and tender, and let’s not forget that they are still crispy.. they are not stingy with the sauce. Solid basic menu - the hamburger and fries was great, with tasty seasoned patty and all the fixings. The Frito pie was a delicious starter - fritos, chili without beans, queso. The space was ample and clean and comfortable, with indoor and outdoor seating available. Staff was attentive and friendly.

I'm surprised last Friday was only the 2nd time we visited this gem! Amazing bar! Great food, great drinks.. pet friendly, kids friendly. We will certainly be regulars here!

This place is so cool! Love the vibe, how it’s casual, but with high end beverage options. The wait staff was very accommodating, willing to let us try samples prior to buying. The food is SO reasonably priced, and honestly incredible. The boudin balls are so friggin good. Better than what I’ve had in NOLA. There is a HUGE beer selection, which my boyfriend loved, but as more of a cocktail gal, I can say the cocktails are really unique and delicious. This place will 100% become a regular visit for me. First time in here today. I had the offering from no label brewing co., I think it was a light ale, and the sour cider called Crack Berry, from Bishop. Emily took excellent care of me. I didn't try the food. The only reason they don't get 5 stars is because they don't take cash and don't offer a paper menu.

The metal chairs in this establishment are very uncomfortable no padding just cold hard steel chairs everything else was great my back was hurting during the 3 hours sitting and watching the Texans game please update the seating chairs 🪑 thank you

“It’s a matter of opinion” is what you’ll get if you let them know you’ve been waiting for more than 10+ minutes at the bar to close your tap. Even if you see them taking orders from other patrons that got to the bar after you did. Like the food and the ambience, but the service, it could be better

If you plan to order food, be sure to take your cell phone with a working scanner app and your glasses so you can read the menu. Went in hopes of ordering grub but was told the food menu is online only and you have to scan the code to see it. Weird because the drink menu is in physical form. I guess they don't want to serve food very much. AND, it's not really an ice house. It's just another sports bar.

Disclosure: we went in an hour and ten minutes before they closed. The bartender assured us we could still get food and order drinks. The good: Several TVs to watch sports and good draft beer selection. The disappointing: Nashville hot chicken was mediocre - not a lot of flavor, chicken breast was cut in half but the bun wasn't; French fries weren't cooked - soggy and not salted; music selection didn't match the vibe of the restaurant/bar; bartender only checked on us at the end of our meal even though there were only 3 other people in the establishment and never asked how our food was, only if we were okay; bartender didn't acknowledge or thank us upon leaving even though she was standing at the front of the bar when we left. Waited so long for this place to open, incredibly disappointed, will not be returning.

This is my 3rd or 4th visit here, and my previous visits have been good, but today was a nightmare. They had one bartender for a Texans playoff game, and I understand it’s possible that someone called in or didn’t show, so I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt there, but that’s not even the crazy part. Most people are doing what you’re supposed to do and getting in the very long line and waiting, I waited over 45 minutes to order. However, quite a few people chose to make their own rules and go to different parts of the bar in attempt to order, and the ONE bartender actually allowed it. She took their orders, people who waited for 5 minutes while everyone else had been in line for at least 45 minutes. I don’t care how busy you are, you know that these people are not in line like everyone else. I watched multiple groups walk out, and I don’t blame them. I likely won’t come back after this.

The cheeseburger was wrong and had everything on it. So we told the kitchen staff and they said they would remake the cheeseburger. The burger came out in roughly 2 minutes. They just took off the veggies and put the bun with mayo back. So instead of making it right they did that. So had to wait another 10 minutes to finally get it cooked. Also the frito pie was cold. Not great service. The location by downtown. Also my wife was bitten by a dog inside the restaurant on Saturday. Not a service dog. Walking out of the restroom.

Good pretzel & cheese, the chicken on the house salad was plain/not fresh. The house salad would have been better without the chicken. The steak tenders reminded me of school cafeteria. Please rethink your menu.

Alexia with the purple hair was rude and dismissive from the moment I walked in. I ordered the fried pickles and didn't like them so I returned them and she refused to take them off of my bill. She also refused to provide me with the contact information for the manager on duty and I had to ask her to stop speaking to me. This was my first and last time here, sadly. She left a horrible impression. With so many options in the immediate area, please go elsewhere. However, Tarlene was very sweet, fire Alexia. UPDATE: the manager removed the fried pickles but stated that he was informed that we are most of the food, which is not true.

Came here on a Sunday evening, waited about 15 minutes for service. Jason was friendly when he finally acknowledged we were present. The drink I ordered was okay. However, I ordered theloaded fries - they were decent until I found plastic mixed in with the fries. No apologies. Service is terrible. I will not be returning. One of the investors (Ariel) was standing at the bar talking with Jason when the issue was presented, she waited about 15 minutes before coming over with a half— “My apologies, is there anything we can do?” speech. By that time, the ticket was closed and she lost potential business. If you are worried about your investment, hire staff that care about the establishment. Response: Hi, I do not have the wrong establishment, I was very present at your establishment and definitely spoke with someone named Ariel who said she was from New York. Whatever the case is, the service was terrible and obviously that cannot be argued. (Apparently from the response).

was exited to try this new place but after advertising 5$ margaritas on margaritas day I got overcharged for no reason double of the price. it's ridiculous and without giving any reason will not be coming back since they can't keep the price advertised simple as that poor service and definitely not doing solid business especially not on a Saturday night.

Update: Their reply that they tipped themselves 20% because I left my card behind is completely untrue. I never left my card or had to come back for it. There weren’t even drinks on the receipt or a reason to leave the card behind. We ordered three food items, closed out the tab, and then they decided to tip themselves. I guess their response just proves how scammy they are and that it’s intentional. You’d think if it wasn’t a scam that they’d try to verify who I was instead of assuming what happened since this google account is one I just use for reviews and the card used that day does not have this name on it. Worse service I have EVER experienced, especially from management. Will definitely not be back after multiple charges appeared on my card and the manager tipped himself using my debit card.

One of the male bartenders, Shane, decided to use profanity towards me when he got into a bad mood. He decided to be super aggressive towards me, using the “B” word towards me in front of other patrons, even coming around the bar and getting near me. This made me very uncomfortable and there was not a single manager in sight to help with the situation. The manager, Jason, was eventually aware that this situation happened, but nothing was done to reprimand this person. I never had any issues with staff previously (I even had a previous 5 star review but took it down because it no longer reflects how I feel about the place), but it seems like all the staff that worked there previously are no longer there, making this a very unfriendly and unwelcoming environment. The drinks tend to be overpriced and come out okay depending on who makes it. The food can be a hit or miss. I don’t think it’s a place worth coming to anymore and I think a lot of the people who used to frequent this place will stop showing up sooner or later.

Prob my least favorite experience. If I had a Time Machine I would go back & never have visited. My mimosa tasted heavily like onion & I couldn’t even finish it. The food was decent. The potatoes I ordered with French toast were forgotten & came out after I was mostly done with my food.

Descriptions are on menu.” So my party of 6 left immediately. Guy was having a bad day and while I understand that happens to everyone, it was unnecessary rudeness.
