I LOVE this place! The food, service, and ownership is amazing. They have the best pizza in the city! I’ve had a few birthdays and events here and everything is always seamless. Honestly it’s my favorite bar in Houston- and that says a lot!

I’ve been here a few times over the past few years and the pizza was always good, but on my most recent visit, the pizza was amazing! The crust is amazing and the charred edges full of flavor. The big surprise, though, was the PBR, pickles, bacon, and ranch pizza. It sounded hokey, and we got it on a whim, but it was absolutely amazing. Our largish group had ordered three other pizzas, and although they were all great, the PBR surprised us all and was the clear favorite. I promise you, no one else has anything quite like it. The service is always friendly, and the atmosphere is fun and lively.

Love this place. The pizza was phenomenal, the cocktails on point. The pickle-tini is very pickley. The staff were all very friendly.

When you come here, you definitely feel like you’re in a different time scape. We enjoy the vibe, we usually travel in a group of four, sometimes three. This is our regular happy hour spot. Nothing beats their happy hour. If you’re into IPA’s and enjoy deals, this is a must stop spot. $7 milk jug beers from 4-6 pm even on the weekends! I hope they never change this promo because I tell everyone at work, my friends visiting from out of town, and local friends. No one can beat that deal. We’ve been enjoying their happy hour for the last 3 years. We always ask for 4 pint glasses because we like to share and sample the rotating beers. Their food is also worth trying. The cheese bricks and pizza are Amozzing! We travel from Cypress every weekend to indulge in their unique vibes and treat’yo self aurora. A gem in the cluttered oasis of Houston. Can’t wait for the fall and winter fire pits!

I brought some friends from out of town and they LOVED it (I have long been a fan of BB). The pizza was perfection (nice vegetarian options), the drinks were creative, and tasty. Service was top notch. And my dude, what a hella fun atmosphere. It’s all in the details. :)

Houston has done it again. We have been provided another cool spot just outside downtown but within 610 for great food and great people without breaking the bank. The bar scene here is great. All their bartenders are super amiable, funny, and they know what they're doing behind the bar. Ask for their drink specials, but if you want a consistently excellent drink ask any bartender for an Old Fashioned. Food...try their specials. The burger and fries here are legit. Their signature pizza is also amazing. Our group of four (two couples) dines here on occasion and we can get full on a burger and fries box for each couple and one signature pizza that has 8 slices. On weekends, it might be a challenge to find a table, but during the week I don't think we've ever waited more than 10-15 minutes (while having a drink at the bar and ordering our food) to be seated. It's great in the winter when they bring out the heaters, but I also love it in the summer when it's hot and they do their best to cool you off. This is an all around great place. My wife and I have never gone over $100 (including tax and tip) for dinner.

I am not from Texas, and I got this on a whim through UberEats on a long layover. Since then, I get it every chance I have if I fly though Houston. Last order they sent me a sticker with the delivery, and I put it on my iPad cover because I genuinely love this place. AMAZING PIZZA! I should also mention I've worked in more than 6 Mellow Mushrooms across some 15+ years, so I know good za. Hope to be back in TX soon for another taste!

The pizza was very good. The decor was unique and awesome. The drinks were very well made and the staff was willing to make drinks that were not on the menue. Can't wait to return.

If you want good pizza , this is the place! I'm not sure what kind of oven is used to make these pizzas but it is chef's kiss. The crust is amazing there is just enough of everything on the pizzas. All of the pizzas are so unique, like nothing you've ever had in your life. I'd recommend the pesto pizza with added chicken and "Do you want more? ". Oh wait, did I forget I had some of the best buffalo wings here too! Perfect for a friends outing. Both locations are so unique. They also play great music. Love the options for indoor or outdoor seating! One of my top pizza spots in Houston!

I've been looking for a new pizza spot in area and this place happened to be on "The Best Pizza In Houston", so I thought I'd give it a try. First off, the drinks were amazing ESPECIALLY the Black Lemon Drop * to die for*. We ordered the sausage feta pizza which was super delicious. I believe the food, drinks, and experience lived up to the hype. I would definitely come back here again!!! Zero complaints

Great chill place with good food selection and ample spirit selection, cocktail list, and beer offerings. Karaoke on Friday night can get pretty wild. Staff was friendly and even when busy bar moves quick and food comes out quick and hot. Impressed by the wings.

They have the bessssst pizza! Love stopping by for their pizza of the month. Always super interesting and unique toppings I don’t see anywhere else.

Had a great pizza here. I ordered the Hercules Hercules. The crust and toppings are delicious as well as great service. I look forward to trying other things on the menu.

MUST TRY!! I’ve ordered dine-in and carryout, all of my experiences here were wonderful. The staff have always been friendly, and they have lots of unique pizza options. They do get busy at times, but it’s worth the wait. Pictured is the Draco with pepperoni added :)

Fun spot with indoor and outdoor seating. Combination of refreshing and strong Cocktails as well as beers on tap and wine. Pizza is the main course and tempting to try. Bartenders and servers are really cool and knowledgeable. Catch a game or play some darts. Would visit again

Food is best on Fridays when the taco stand is open. Plenty of variety , parking, and plenty of beer variety. Karaoke 🎤night is very fun. Outside open area is well set up and perfectly lit for the ambiance.

Love the atmosphere at this place. The bartenders are really friendly especially Peter. They have a great bar, and the pizza is great. You can share a pizza between three people comfortably. The crust on the pizza is really good too. Would easily recommend to a friend. A place you can eat good food but also get drunk and have fun.

Incredible pizza, really rad atmosphere. Wish they had said something like “seat yourself, order at the bar” when we came in since we kinda just stood around awkwardly, but overall a great experience. We were lucky to come in during their happy hour and got a large-ish milk bottle of beer for $7. Great price on the wings too considering the inflation. Two and half parking lots, too. Will definitely be back with a group of friends.

Great place to chill and hang out, even take your family. They have non-alcoholic drinks if you wanna drive safe. Burgers are amazing!! Bathrooms indicating male and female are hilarious.

My friends and I stopped by to try it out after hanging out on Washington street. We stopped at several places but this spot “hit the spot”. As soon as we stepped in we were warmly welcomed by a bartender and invited us to sit at the bar. Christian was very knowledgeable and thorough when describing the drinks; we weren’t really sure what to get but he immediately was able to prepare drinks that delighted us. To top it off, the pizza was amazing. Great staff, drinks and pizza!

We split a bottle of wine, a pizza, and a burger. It was an experience I definitely recommend. Good food, open pretty late, good music and plenty of indoor and outdoor music. Plus, the bartender was funny and the place is also decorated quite well.

Betelgeuse Betelgeuse Betelgeuse! This is how small owned businesses should operate, and aspire to look in aesthetic. Spray paint art adorns this humble two story building and accentuates the charm for those that like to give unusual places patronage. The subject matter is a cross between a Lovecraftian fever dream with 90s movie references in for good measure. When you walk in you will be greeted by a calvaleran gentleman and see a few vintage coin operated arcade cabinets and a junkyard pinball machine. Lighted by blue, green, and purple bulbs there are plenty of conversation pieces. The staff is incredibly friendly and in no way stuck up, or gatekeepy. In fact, it’s quite the opposite. There is a bar located in the back with quite delicious mixed drinks or tap beers. And most importantly, the food: the pizza is some of the best I’ve ever had in the city, and I’ve had almost all of it. The crust is a cross between classic hand tossed and Chicago style, melted cheese toasted to perfection giving it the perfect blend of chewy and crunchy, and the toppings are top notch. I had the pepp and I was in gastro heaven. In conclusion, if you’re a bit quirky yourself, you should have already come to this place. This is a prime example of the kind of places I want to review so more people in Houston go out of their comfort zone and try something new. It sure beats the soulless corporate enterprises that dot the city like the plague. So say his name three times and you just might end up in the pizza afterlife.

Visited Saturday May 20,2023 after 10pm. Christian is the Man. We stopped in after leaving another bar in the neighborhood and the atmosphere here was just so much better. We approached the bar, were given menus but rather than look at it, I asked Christian if he could make me a drink that was refreshing and fruity. He made me a Mambo Sun and it was legit. He also made my 2 friends something they wanted as well based upon their taste preference and they loved it. We had pizza which was also great, took pics in the photo booth and had a damn good time. We're already planning our return for Memorial Weekend. Keep up the great work, you guys are awesome.

One of the best crusts I have had in a long while. Love the buttery crispness. Perfect amount of sauce and just the right amout of toppings. So nice you have to say it twice! Did not like the ordering at the bar, and it would have been nice to have a server who could get refills. .. and some ice tea.

We came here on a whim because my husband is a pizza snob, but I kept hearing great things about the pizza here. We walked and sat at the bar because it was lightly raining outside and literally no one was sitting at the bar. The place is decorated in a really fun vibe that I feel like you would find in a college town or something. I started with a glass of wine because, imo, one really shouldn't be sitting at the bar if one is not going to drink. Or at least that is what I tell myself. We got the brick sticks as an appy. These things are huge, so they are appropriately named. These could be a meal on their own because they were dense and filling. We got the Pepps pizza. It was really delicious so people were not lying when they said the pizza is good. It's ironclad, so the best way I could describe it was the old, old days when you use to sit at the Pizza Hut and get delicious pizza (I know, those days are long gone as you can neither sit there nor is the pizza there delicious, so I really just dated myself with this one). We would definitely come here again and eat and would love to sit out and enjoy the great weather that we get for a few weeks out of the year. I will say that I will not order the Brick Sticks again because I would rather focus consuming a lot of calories with just the pizza.

Only downside for any food ordering is: slow. Like 15min wait for fries, 35min wait for pizza. However, grab a cocktail and take your time there. This place definitely makes you feel good with their unique vibes. And you won’t regret your wait for the yummy food. I’m not a pizza person before but the crunchiness and thickness of the pizza is so satisfying that I can’t help thinking getting more from time to time.

Very good pizza, never misses no matter which specialty you get. Atmosphere is all over the place, it's hit or miss for some with how hectic it can be but personally I find it cozy enough. Parking is a little competitive, they have 2 lots with room for about 20 cars altogether so expect to walk from elsewhere. The times that I've gone it's been an issue only once. Other than that this is a spot I highly recommend for a fun date, a get together with friends, or a self treat because it is really, REALLY good pizza

Turned up for lunch and drinks on Saturday after hearing that this place was worth the visit. Food: 5/5 everything was delicious, drinks were STIFF, greatest cheese sticks we have ever had. Pizza was amazing (pickle pizza was my favorite). Even the dough balls were great, almost like funnel cake baked in butter and Parmesan instead of sweet. Value: 5/5 food was priced fairly, drinks were standard for that type of place, parking was free. Service: 4/5 bartender seemed like he wasn’t in the best mood but not enough to make it a problem. I ordered a pepperoni pizza and burger on door dash. The pizza was SO GOOD! It’s like they took a Detroit style pizza crust and put it on a good round pizza. The crispy cheese crust was the best part, but the pizza was equally crisp and soft, and I can’t wait to have it again. Also what a funny name for the place 😂 I didn’t have the burger but was told that it was excellent.

Huge variety bar. Friendly service. Wonderful staff. You walk in, grab a menu & order at the bar, take a number & sit. Food comes to your table. Eclectic food, for sure. We ordered the super nova pizza and added jalapeños, garlic parm fries & Buffalo wings with ranch. The pizza was like a deep dish with buttery charred crust & omg it was divine! That crust was my absolute favorite!!! The garlic parmesean fries were ok, but they would've been better if I could actually taste garlic, and they weren't drowned in parmesean that was soggy in some areas. The wings came out crispy like we ordered, and the Buffalo sauce was plenty. The sauce had a flavorful kick, not too spicy. I loved them! Loved the decor and the art! Everywhere you look is something interesting and fun to see. There's a photo booth that people were having fun with and a soda & chips vending machine as well. Appeared to be family friendly during the day, but no minors allowed after 9 pm. Huge fan of halloween, so the clown & the zombie babies on the ceiling were super cool! Lots of outdoor and indoor seating. Darts on the patio and great spot to lounge & enjoy your favorite mix drink! Came in for lunch, but I'm looking forward to coming back in the evening to chill & enjoy some drinks outside in the patio.

This pizza joint is great! I really enjoyed eating the Pizza fries here. I only went here to try the Pizza Fries. I'm on my Best French Fries in the World tour, and so far, Betelgeuse is tied for first place. I loved the fries! I have got to try the pizza, but that's for another visit. For some nuts and bolts: They have four main seating areas, two outside, covered and not covered and two inside. They have a really cool karaoke area that I hear gets pretty crowded at night. I didn't see anyone singing. That's one of the indoor areas and another one off to the side. The bar is decked out and they have some crazy looking drinks, check the menu. They have a cool photo machine that I'll try the next time I go. And last but not least, the visit to the bathroom is so cool, you'll wanna take your time and enjoy the experience. They have pizza, burgers and fries. Prices are pretty good for going out to eat, if you don't drink you'll probably spend $15 - $20 per person. It a fun place to bring along some friends and hangout. Almost forgot to mention that they have an outdoor dart stand and looks like a cool fire pit for cold nights. Oh, and dogs are welcome!

Used to come here all the time when it was Liberty Station. Already enjoying the new spot with all the changes. The new decor is wild! Cocktails are good and glad there are in house food options. Pizzas are great with the crispy crusts. Bartender Edgar was awesome! If you get a chance, try the Bartender Concepts on HH, the new cocktails the bartenders are developing

In love with this spot! In town with friends and came here and just died. So well designed and decorated. The pizza and drinks were fantastic, with lots of variety within the menu for different preferences. The service was a bit slow and a few order mistakes were made, but they were slammed so it was totally understandable. Would definitely recommend!

First time visiting and while it was a little awkward trying to find open space at the bar to order pizza, it was well worth it. The decorations are cool and funky, my 13yr old daughter thought it was sooo cool. Food wise, we got a pepperoni pizza and it was one of the best pizzas we have had in a while and we are a pizza eating family. Took photos in the picture booth, got to watch the football game. Can’t wait to go back

I think everyone should check out Betelgeuse at least once. I love the decor and vibes of this place. It gets super busy so be patient with your food because it can be at least 45 minutes before you get your order. The pizza was delicious and cooked well. We also tried the fried spaghetti which was 1000/10! Parking wasn’t too bad as we showed up a little before peak hours. Bartenders’ were a little stressed due to how busy it was and very little customer service but I understand. In all, I would bring my friends and family to check it out!

Enjoyed the overall aesthetic and vibe. The service was good, very friendly. Main issue was with how long it took for our food to come out. We sat inside but there was barely any AC in our area. We got two pizzas, which weren't bad but weren't worth the wait. Their $7 photo booth was a bit pricey, specially for only 3 poses

me and my partner went on a monday at 4pm, right when they opened. the service was kinda awkward, but it’s okay, i didn’t mind too much. for starters, we ordered space balls which were pretty underwhelming. then we got two pizzas, the “hercules hercules” and “do you want more?!” both pizzas were pretty good. i was pleasantly surprised at how citrusy and zesty the “do you want more?!” pizza was. they also had a photobooth, love that. vibes were very out-of-this world and retro style.

Ordered takeout from Beltgese Beltgese while getting tattooed nearby, and wow, what a treat! The pepperoni pizza was phenomenal—crispy crust, bold flavors, and perfect pepperoni. Live in the neighborhood and finally decided to check the place out as a treat to myself. Food was amazing! Quality was good and portions were perfect. Bartender seemed to be having a bad day though, for every question I asked he responded condescendingly and with agitation like I was bothering him. Felt embarrassed and tipped 30% in case I inconvenienced him. in a world full of negativity it doesn’t hurt to be kind, we’re all human :(

Such a cool place with lots of good vibes to it, but definitely don't go if you're hungry. Takes 15-25 min for each item you ordered to hit the table. No salt on our fries and the use of plastic plates, plasticware, and overpackaging everything they brought to the table just felt so unnecessary. French 75 was a hit but the pickle tini, which I was so excited for, was nothing to write home about. It's just vodka and kosher pickle juice with a few pickle slices, and the juice isn't nearly as sour bc it's kosher so i ordered more on the side to finish it. This spot is good for a bar, not a restaurant. Pizza was okay.

Saw this place on Tik Tok and wanted to check it out. The concept is cute but place is super small Parking is terrible and dangerous trying to squeeze in that little drive way with like 10 parking spots. You expect to be seated when you walk in but you have to walk up to the bar to order but at least they bring the food to you. Our fries had a ton of grease in the bottom of the plate pizza was ok 👍🏽 price was ok. The service was mid,the bartender was not that friendly. food came out somewhat fast I read the reviews before hand so I kind of knew what to expect as far as the food wait but was expecting somewhat friendly staff. Oh well maybe the other location will be better.

Great drinks and food. We had 4 drinks and pizza. Would’ve stayed longer. However, The BARTENDERS are not friendly at all. They didn’t even look at my husband when he would go order. That’s the reason we left. The lady who brought out the pizza is a total doll and has a great spirit.

Overall average place but I didn't try their pizza this time so maybe that will change the review in future. The staff were not very inviting, friendly, or even smiled. Unfortunately they didn't have Happy Dad seltzers so I ordered a margarita. I wasn't aware it was on tap or would've skipped it as it tasted watered down and not good. They do offer THC seltzers and drinks for those looking for that stuff.

Very cool place, love the atmosphere and the funky vibes. Now they left alot to be desired when it comes to service... all the staff seem angry, also No one helped us figure out how to order, we are first timers and had no idea what to do.... also the soda was flat and gross. They were making simple syrup in the lobby next to the photo booth that was strange to see. Tables are all sticky, pizza was good, not great. This was our first stop on out Pizza tour of Houston.

Any place that starts with order at the bar and basically be your own waitress but then asks for a tip when they flip the credit card screen around automatically gets one star taken off. I typically reserve reviews for experiences that were particularly good or particularly bad, and Betelgeuse Betelgeuse unfortunately falls into the latter category for me. I feel compelled to share my second experience of a takeout order being lost and waiting on-site for over an hour for the order to be fulfilled. Several months ago I stopped by on a Friday to pick up my takeout order. Thinking it would be a quick visit, I had my dog with me. After waiting in the cold for thirty minutes beyond the pickup time, I checked the order status with the bartender, who told me the order had been lost. There was zero apology; instead, she treated me like an inconvenience and rudely shoved a replacement order number in my face. Over the next hour, my dog and I waited in the cold for a single small pizza. There was no apology, no discount, and no concern for the stuff-up. I chalked it up to a really bad night and let it go. Last night we ordered two large pizzas for pickup at 7:45. When I arrived at 7:50, there was no order ready for pickup. The staff searched around for several minutes before telling me that the system glitched and had the pizzas ready at 6:30, so they would need to restart the order all over again. The manager kindly offered me a beer on the house and told me it would be about 25 minutes. Again, I sat outside and waited... and waited... and waited as everyone around me seemed to be getting their pizzas. I went up to the bar twice to check on the order. An hour into waiting, I went up with the intention to ask for a refund of the order, and the pizzas were suddenly ready. No sincere apology, just a free beer and a comment about how "they're pretty backed up in there [the kitchen]." When we opened the boxes at home, one of the pizzas was charred. It was infuriating for that to be the product we received after yet another hour-plus wait due to a lost order. The pizza here used to be great. I highly advise giving this place a miss for takeout if you have any plans afterward, or a dog with you, or groceries in the car, or a life or schedule at all. Your lost time will make no difference to the staff and they'll be sure that's made obvious to you. Bye, Betelgeuse Betelgeuse. It's Houston and there are plenty of alternative options that won't require patrons to unexpectedly waste an evening waiting for subpar takeout.

Called to order a pizza on Thursday evening. Told me she'd have to put me on hold to ask the kitchen if there's tapioca or cauliflower in their gluten free crust as that information is not available on the website. On hold for 29 minutes and I can hear customer after customer being helped but I'm still on hold, even after there's a lull. Several customers have asked if X has something in it and she says I don't know I'll have to go ask the kitchen and helps them but I've still not been helped. If this is how you handle phone orders, I can't imagine how the food tastes. They hung up on me after being on hold for 29 minutes.

I recently visited Betelgues with high hopes, as pizza is my absolute favorite food and I've enjoyed countless varieties over the years. Unfortunately, this was not the experience I was hoping for. The pizza we ordered was disappointing—the crust was excessively moist, almost soggy, and the pizza itself was overloaded with cheese and toppings that didn't seem to be of the best quality. After our meal, I took a walk around the building and noticed that the kitchen setup seemed more like a makeshift operation, with part of it located outdoors and the other part out of a food truck. While I appreciate the unique approach, it didn't translate into a good dining experience for me. It is an outdoor open air kitchen that is exposed to all the elements. That cannot be sanitary. I really wanted to like this place, but sadly, it was the worst pizza I've ever had. I won't be returning, but I hope they take this feedback to heart and make improvements for the future.

I ordered a pepperoni pizza and it looked great, the pepperoni was cupped and looked great, But it had a different odor!!! Not sure what it is but I think it’s margarine for the crust !! I ate 1 1/2 slices and took it home to feed my pets!! Im disappointed I had high expectations for this new local restaurant! The location is dynamite, the atmosphere is relaxed I just wished my pizza was better!!

The drinks are strong and the vibes are nice but the pizza was offensively bad 😟. The pizza tasted more like Red Barons frozen pizza or Digorno…. Wouldn’t recommend it. Just get the drinks lol

Won’t be coming back to this location. The bartender was extremely rude, spoke in a condescending tone and wasn’t helpful at all when we asked how long the pizza would be because it had been almost an hour before our food came out. Horrible service from him, along with clueless waiting staff. The place has a nice theme, pizza was good but fix the service. Will not be going again. Edit: Manager claimed to reach out in order to get things right, emailed them and never got a respond back. This is a terrible way to keep customers!

Horrid customer service from entitled bar tender woman, seemed to be racist, felt mistreated. Remember CUSTOMER SERVICE IS FIRST!!! then food took 30 mins to be ready. Never again. NOT RECOMMENDED.

Pictures always looked good but it was super underwhelming…the middle of pizza was all wet and undercooked, wings also not worth mentioning. We left disappointed

We came here this afternoon and were excited to try a new place. The pizza was great. But the cocktails? We’re horrible. We ordered the Rummin with the Devil, the Vanilla Coke and I think it’s called rhe funkadelic. One of the bartenders told me the drink was missing a part. So why serve me a drink when you didn’t have a part that goes in the drink? So we gave the other two a shot and it was pure alcohol. You couldn’t even taste any of the vanilla or coke in the drink. Definitely not worth the price. The pizza and pizza fries were delicious though. Unfortunately, y’all need to work on the drinks.

They need to figure out the bugs quickly!! I have no idea how long this place has been open (<1yr?) but they need to figure things out. Wait is very slow and disorganized. Pizza ordered at 4pm for pickup at 6pm.. the pies are 25 minutes late and we are still waiting. No offering of a drink. No ‘sorry for your delay’. Just wait. On top of that, the place is filthy. Tables need bussing (see photo) and two employees have already walked by without lifting a finger. In fact the only reason I’m writing this review is because of the ‘not my job attitude’. The staff may be dealing with fires because no one is working but I also suspect there are people in the back not doing anything. Two people cannot help with food because ‘it’s not my job’ and another won’t respond because ‘he’s just there to make drinks’ and ‘what do you want me to do.. I’m not back there cooking’. Infuriating!!

This had been the worse year place I have ever been gone to. The bartender was so racist to Black and Hispanic people. I cannot believe they stand for that. I have been an active supporter of their bar and to see the bartering treatment was so disappointing, we literally cancelled our pizza order and our drink order.

Ordered a singular large pizza, waited 30 minutes before asking how much longer it would be. Server said it takes 40 minutes to make a large pizza. Waited another 15 minutes. Then the server brings us the wrong food (garlic wings and fries.) Asked the server about the wrong food, says that someone else must have had the same number as us. Will not be coming back.

I don’t believe in leaving bad reviews because it is typically born out of an emotional reaction that serves no practical purpose. However, this is bit of a public service announcement. We had friends from out of town stay with us last night and wanted to show them an enjoyable time out. We decided to take them to Betelgeuse, which is one of my favorite spots because good name, good food, and great vibes. However, last night there is something I cannot stop thinking about. Even though there was good music and plenty of seating, the first thing you saw when walking in was a man who was glassy eyed and in a stupor with a vacant stare. Concerned, I told him I liked his chains and he said thank you. We went on to order our food and drinks from the lonely employee who seemed insanely tired and a bit spacey. We went to our table and got some of our food. My partner asked if I could grab a glass of ice for her, so I went inside. I encountered the man a second time after standing in line for another 10 minutes (only one person ahead of me and there appeared to be an issue with the computer ) and he seemed to barely be able to sit in his chair. I asked him where he got his chains to see if he was coherent and he ignored me. After about 2 minutes of waiting in line, the man approached me. He was swaying and could barely stay upright. He asked me to buy him a drink, one of whatever I was having. I let him know I was only grabbing ice for my partner. He didn’t like my answer and began getting aggressive and irate with me. I tried to diffuse the situation politely and another staff member appeared to try and calm the man down. The man wanted a physical altercation with me and wouldn’t leave. It was clear he was drunk. Whether he was over served there or not, is the purview of TABC - for me this was a potentially dangerous situation. I had to run outside and crouched behind furniture to hid while the single staff member tried to get the inebriated gentleman out. Even as they asked him to leave, he walked around the fence looking for me. The experience was anxiety inducing and made me lose my appetite. To make matters worse, the staff members kept asking me why the hell I spoke to the gentleman. There was no apology for the experience or questions about my own wellbeing. I was taken aback by the lack of concern. As our group left, I went back to inquire about one of the new Betelgeuse shirts. I asked the bartender about the shirts, and he seemed confused and responded to me saying he didn’t know about any shirts. He finally did find the shirts and informed me they only have Junior sizes available. He couldn’t tell me when they would restock or which designs they had. The experience left a lot to be desired for the atmosphere and management at Betelgeuse. If I visit again, I will be on high alert before deciding to order and take a seat. ….Or maybe the next diner just reads this review and decides they don’t want to have to also get on their hands and knees to crawl under tables, in front of other guests, due to poor service from the bartender/barback/waiter/host/assistant manager who looks and reacts like they haven’t slept in 4 days
