Opinions de The Sunrise House Houston
I’ve been to Sunrise House twice for brunch and highly recommend it. The service has been great both times and the atmosphere is really nice. I strongly suggest making a reservation because it gets busy. They also have several cute photo areas that are perfect if you’re going with friends for brunch. Valet parking is available for $6, which makes parking easy. Overall a great brunch spot in Houston!
My sister and I stopped here for brunch. Soley based off of a Google search and I'm glad we did. Erica was our server and she was amazing. She gave very good insight into anything we wanted to eat or drink snd made some wonderful suggestions; because of that, we were very pleased with everything that we had and we had a lot! More drinks than food of course but it was all amazing, we enjoyed the: Hibiscus Crush-drink Very Berry Bliss-drink Golden Delights-starter my sister and I shared Breakfast Fried Rice-starter my sister had as a meal (it was that large of a portion and she took some home) Sunrise Continental-my meal, subbed waffles for pancakes and yum! 😋 Sunnyside Car-drink my sister loved this one so much, she had two and licked the glass when she was done! The Horizon-mimosas flight-highly recommend! 5 🌟 Parking is done by valet. It costs $6, bring cash. 20% Gratuity is already included in your bill. Don't gripe about it. Pay it. Sit down relax & enjoy your food. It's amazing. There's a sunflower wall. There's swings, it's just great. Go there immediately. We will be back for sure!
Ja’niyah was nothing but AMAZING!! Great service and great recommendations for the menu! Food was amazing from the AÇAÍ ME PLEASE to the Sunrise Continental to the drinks and pineapple ginger wellness shot to the music!!! All tens across the board EXCEPT the Valet. We had a 12 passenger van and we didn’t even get an explanation as to why we could park there. He had us waiting in the middle of the street and fanned us off!! He was really rude and NASTY!!
This is my first time here and I was pleasantly blown away. This is my first time ever trying catfish and collard greens. Everything on my plate was absolutely 10/10. I now love collard greens, I’ve been missing out! Idk how this place doesn’t have a line out the door non stop. Anyways, they give complimentary freshly baked croissants and they were so good, I had to order some to-go. My server was also fantastic. Will definitely come back! PS: They do an automatic 20% gratuity but the service is great for my experience
Yesterday was my birthday, we had no reservations this wasn’t the first plan but SOOOO happy we stopped in. There was a wait time without reservations but it wasn’t long at all. The restaurant is SOOOOOO cute. I took pictures while we waited. The food was very GREAT, the only thing I didn’t care for was gratuity included. Our server was polite, quick and met our expectations. We definitely left #STUFFEDANDSATISFIED.
Great brunch experience! I was visiting from El Paso and really enjoyed the chicken and waffles. The service was excellent, and the drink selection was delicious with plenty of variety. There was a wait, but it moved quickly and was definitely worth it. I’ll be sure to come back again next time I’m in town.
my sister & i celebrated our birthday here on 1/1/26. reservations were recommended, so we made reservations. valet parking was $6. our server was erika, and she was very pleasant, friendly and accommodating, even coming outside to take our picture afterward. the food was great! i tried the waffle delights(banana pudding) w/fried chicken strips, my sister had the catfish n' fixins, which came with grits & collard greens, and our friend had a veggie omelette with smoked salmon, we enjoyed it all!😋 they give complimentary warm croissants with honey, which was a nice touch! we also enjoyed pineapple mimosas!🍾 erika brought my sister & i each a small lemon pound bundt cake with fresh fruit, so good! this was our first time here & we will definitely be back! 10/10!!
Make a reservation! We went without making a reservation and quickly saw why. We ended up making a reservation on the app while waiting. The hall to the bathroom is a super cute place to take pics. There are sunflowers everywhere. The host and servers were all very nice. The food selection was giving excellence! We were stuffed. I would go back again and again. Luckily, we Ubered. The only parking is valet and it is $6 or $8. Gratuity is already included on your final bill but you can add more.
Sun Rise House is absolutely top notch. From the service to the food to the presentation of both the dishes and the drink, we were genuinely impressed across the board. Everything that came out looked amazing and tasted even better. Flavor, balance, presentation… 10 out of 10. When we first arrived, I’ll be honest, we were slightly disappointed to learn that reservations were required and that they were fully booked after we had already valet’d. The patio was offered, but due to the cold weather and the fact that there were no heaters, that felt a bit inconsiderate. Yes, people were sitting out there, but it just wasn’t going to be us. That said, the hostess made a final effort to keep us by offering to put us on the waiting list in case someone finished early and didn’t use their full two-hour window. While that was appreciated, what really changed everything was when I noticed bar seating opening up and she quickly got us on that list instead. Best move of the night. From the moment we sat down, Hope and Briana, our bartenders, delivered the most immaculate, attentive service. This was our first time there, and their ability to answer questions without the slightest bit of irritation while also making thoughtful recommendations based on exactly what we were looking for was impressive. When I tell you I haven’t been this impressed with a restaurant and its staff in Houston in a long time and I’ve eaten at a lot of Houston staples, I mean that. This place stands out. I will absolutely be back to put Sun Rise House through my final test: consistency. Hopefully I get Hope and Briana again, but even if I don’t, I expect whoever is bartending or serving to be just as attentive, knowledgeable, and locked in. Excellent service. Excellent food. Excellent presentation. Sun Rise House is doing it right.
J’Niya was my server and she was absolutely amazing! The restaurant automatically adds the tip to the order, but I STILL tipped her on top of that because she truly deserved it. I loved her vibe, her energy, and her recommendations. From the moment we sat down to the moment she brought us to-go containers without even being asked, she was on point. I haven’t had service like this in a long time. I’ll definitely be back. 💕
This place is amazing, with absolutely adorable décor — from the striped fabric furniture to the beautifully arranged flowers on the ceiling. The service was excellent and the food was delicious. The complimentary biscuit was incredibly flaky and buttery, a perfect start to the meal. We shared the classic breakfast with eggs, bacon, and pancakes, and we were so glad we did — the portions were very generous and everything was great. We also tried the mimosa flight, which was equally enjoyable. Overall, a wonderful experience from start to finish.
Today, for my birthday, we visited The Sunrise House for the first time, and it was good! Just like everyone else has said, they definitely deserve 100% credit. I had the Red Velvet Waffle & Chicken Strips with a Sunnyside Car (highly recommend!), and my friends had the Catfish-N-Fixins, Bayou City Shrimp & Grits, and a Watermelon Sangria. We all left happy and can’t wait to go back! Alayna, our bartender/server, was friendly, attentive, and made our visit even more enjoyable. The vibe in the place was great too! Tip: Make a reservation! There were quite a few people waiting, but with an RSVP we were seated right away.
Great first experience at the bright brunch spot. Decor is sunny, colorful plus they had Halloween 🎃 on display. Staff was friendly and helpful. Meals were excellent. It's a bit pricey and a 20% gratuity is automatically included on the tab. The free croissants were fresh bake and delicious. Mandatory valet is $6. I recommend for the food, staff and overall experience.

Hands down one of the yummiest brunches I’ve had in Houston! The hazelnut coffee was unreal—literally tasted like the Nutella biscuits we get at HEB. So good. The chicken and waffles were incredible. The chicken was perfectly crispy, and the buttermilk waffle was topped with a cream cheese icing–style syrup that took it to another level. Honestly, the best waffles I’ve had in Houston. We also ordered the MiniCinnis, which are made to order, and they were good as well, but nothing special. Everything came out fresh and flavorful. A couple of notes: pulling in was a little confusing at first because valet is required, and after we were seated there was a brief wait before a server came by. However, once Paul came over, the experience completely turned around—he was fantastic! Friendly, attentive, and made us feel so welcome. We loved our server Paul. We arrived around 8:30 AM on a Sunday, were seated right away with no reservation, and it wasn’t crowded at all. Great food, great service, and a great overall experience. We’ll definitely be back!
I ordered the shrimp and grits, and both were seasoned perfectly and full of flavor. I also tried the Golden Delights—it was my first time having a fried deviled egg, and they were delicious with a nicely sized piece of bacon on top. The mint lemonade was refreshing. I also received a complimentary birthday Bundt cake, which was a nice touch. They only offer valet parking, likely due to their small lot. The wait to be seated and receive our food wasn’t long.
Fun, holiday spirited spot with great service. I sat at the bar, had no wait time, and service was excellent! I ordered the fried egg rolls due to recommendation, and while portion was enough as a meal, it was a miss for me. The continental breakfast was good but nothing special about it. I was hoping to get holiday red and green pancakes as pictured on Instagram, but mine were not, although the toasted coconut iced latte was great. Prepare to pay for valet parking $6.
I went on a Monday afternoon for brunch. I ordered the strawberry matcha to drink and red velvet waffles with chicken tenders. My friend ordered the salt and pepper chicken which came with potatoes. They start you with warm fluffy croissants drizzled with honey butter. Everything was delicious. I will definitely return to try out other menu items. My only negative was pulling into the parking lot and hitting a ginormous pothole which is almost unavoidable as there are multiple. If an establishment is going to charge for parking the least they can do is make sure the parking lot is up to par. The parking attendant was also very nice.
Came here for brunch on a Monday with my girlfriends. Service was great, friendly, and professional. Food came out beautiful, abundant, and delicious. Considering we had kids with us, they were attentive and accommodating to our needs which we greatly appreciated. Note that they only have valet parking on site for $6.

This place was hyped up quite a bit as a must try. We left there a little disappointed. First off it was valet parking.. this was a little unnecessary. Whe we arrive there was only like 6 cars in the parking lot and when we left it was busy but they just handed me the keys and I walked to my vehicle and drove out of the parking spot l. Seemed like a bit of a cash grab. The service was just ok, felt like we were a burden because we didnt have a reservation for the 2 of us even though there was only like 10 people inside. The food was good but I asked for over medium eggs and they were over easy. The steak was delicious but seemed a really pricey. If I visit houston again I will most likely skip this stop
I hate when I discover a restaurant that has a great deal of potential, but a few things that ruin it!! I had been wanting to come to “The Summer House” for sometime now since it’s in the area of which I live. So like most of my reviews, I’m gonna go ahead and start off with the positive. The restaurant is quaint with a very happy Sunday mood to it. I believe it’s the vibrant colors mixed with the black & white scheme that bring it all together. I had the continental breakfast and it’s worth nothing its deliciousness! I did enjoy the fact that their coffee can be refilled with no extra charge. 👏🏼 The service was average, my waiter Paul was extremely nice, but rarely came by. The prices are as they should be, decent and not too high. Now to the disappointing part- their parking is very limited and you must valet. They do not give you an option and the charge is $6.00. (Not too bad) However not everyone wants their car valet, and I don’t appreciate the lack of options. The other dislike was the automatic gratuity stuck on the bill. This is an unfair option because what they’re saying is they want you to pay their servers despite how you get treated. You’re not told at any time that you were going to be charged regardless. I also feel this as a disservice to the server, because had I been told I may have tipped more. (Not a very good move on “ The Sunrise House’s“ part) I’m not gonna give a complete recommendation to skip this restaurant or to try it, but I feel like people should know what they’re going to be paying for prior to dining. As for myself, it’s going to be a big maybe if I return. Happy Eating. 🍽️
- First, I’d like to say that the overall food presentation, hosting, and attentive service were excellent. The food was very good. However, I was served with inexpensive disposable cutlery while the couple seated nearby received metal silverware. When I asked the server about this, her initial response suggested that disposable cutlery was standard for outdoor use. After I pointed out the discrepancy, she brought me silverware, but the experience did detract from an otherwise enjoyable meal. I hope you can address this inconsistency for future visits.
The sunrise Houston has a very cute whimsical decor the atmosphere was very chill or even calm, not very noisy diverse patrons a lot of opportunities for a photo op. The food was a three out of five good for the time, but not memorable I had the sunny side eggrolls with queso and for the main meal waffle delight. Customer service or their lack of was a little disappointing. Once seated we ordered drinks. The server said that they would be back shortly to receive order for food server. Didn’t get back to us until 15 minutes after.. overall the experience was OK well I revisit no, but it was nice for the time[only valet parking and 20 percent gratuity]
ambiance is great . Food is meh and prices pretty high. If food meets expectations it makes sense paying more - if not no !

Tried to visit here last week, but the restaurant was closed for maintenance, which is understandable. However, the closure wasn't clearly communicated on the website, Yelp, or any social media pages. I gave it another shot today. The hostess attempted to seat us near the restroom, but we absolutely refused. The staff then accommodated us with a table in the corner by the bar. The manager also offered us a complimentary appetizer and apologized sincerely. Briana, our waitress, was the highlight; she was attentive, quick, and friendly. The food was okay. Overall, we spent $97 for two people, including a 20% gratuity, not counting the tip for the waitress and valet. Rating: 2.5 out of 5.

Sunrise House: Houston's Bright Spot for Breakfast Bliss
Y’all know I love a good breakfast spot, and lately, one name keeps popping up in conversations around Houston: The Sunrise House. If you’ve been scrolling for brunch suggestions, chances are you’ve seen this place recommended more than once, and after checking it out, I can totally see why it’s gaining traction. First things first, a little heads-up on the logistics: they do exclusively offer valet parking. It’s a detail to keep in mind, but once you step inside, or even if you’re just grabb
