Cactus Cafe

I have been going to cactus cafe since they opened in Huntington on a regular basis (at a minimum 2x a month). The place is always packed and has great food. Out of the several times I have been there I can count on one hand how many times my pick up order was incorrect. It happens, and I can understand why given how busy it is. The few times o have called to say I’ll bring it back for the right order it has never been an issue. The last time this happened, I called let them know there was a mistake and when arriving was greeted with he heard right and I am wrong and that he had been working here 3 years and has never made a mistake. I asked him if he was going to swap it out or not after explaining a vegetable bowl is not a menu item; it is a vegetable fajita bowl. He said yes with an attitude but he was right and I was wrong. The best part was I sat down and an innocent by stander looked at me baffled and couldn’t believe the way things were handled so much so he had said I’ll never come back and hopes his order is right. Before writing this, I searched the website for “contact us” as I wanted to be discrete being a business owner myself. Everyone has a bad day, but treat others as you would like to be treated. This was not a great representation of a great franchise which is why I am leaving a 5 star review, but I do want you to be aware of the situation.

First time here and it was a win! Had the corn chowder that was hearty and filled with plenty of chicken, the steak and brisket tacos were all delicious! They’re house sauces were fresh and delicious! Jose served us at the bar and provided excellent service and drinks! For sure coming back to try the whole menu out!

Cactus Cafe is my go-to for a quick, affordable, and insanely good meal. The chicken burrito bowl is my usual — fresh ingredients, big portions, and the guac is totally worth the extra. The staff is always friendly, and the vibe is super laid-back, making it a great spot to hang with friends or even get some studying done. They’ve got WiFi, chill music, and solid seating, so I’ve definitely camped out here with my laptop a few times. Whether I’m grabbing takeout or eating in, the quality is always on point. If you’re a student looking for flavorful food that won’t drain your wallet, this place is a must.

Had the chorizo soft taco … only 3.85 before tax amazing ! Haven’t had chorizo this good since being in California. The salsa use blends so very well with the lettuce and onion . Great flavors amazing spice .. not for those who can’t spicy … be honest with yourself about spice this isn’t that spicy but to some may be Spicy … customer service is top notch . I'm not really happy about paying 30$ after ordering a meal and being given small quantities and instead of just helping me he refused to give me his name pretended to be the manager (if he was should NOT be)and then starts to tell me off. Iused to love coming here but there have hired a few guys who have ruined the place. I ordered a meal for 2 people and was told otherwise and other things im not adding to this. Tha k you for adding for stress to my already stress filled day now I get to not eat until morning.It's a shame if this keeps up the place is gonna get a bad reputation. Quick.

Terrible dry rotisserie chicken that clearly isn’t fresh. Kitchen couldn’t even be bothered to warm it up right: half of it was still cold. Why pay more to eat here when it doesn’t even taste better than Chipotle.

Have been here before, descent food BUT ordered 2 chicken burritos today and an order of quesadillas and found a 2 inch bone in the burrito while eating!! Very disappointing and dangerous. Response to Owner: Last time we ordered was March 15th and had chicken bone. Will not be returning.

I decided to try this place and I have to be honest...the food is gross. I got a beef brisket enchilada. The meat was dry and tasteless. The onions seemed old and tasteless. Even the cheese seemed old and didn't taste great. The only part I could eat was the refried beans. The enchilada sauce was really salty and unpleasant. I don't normally like to leave reviews like this but the food was really bad and people should know before they spend their money on it.

Normally I like this place but today I went there. There were two people working the counter. The girl was making cocktails for two people sitting at the bar. The other guy was standing at the pickup counter. No customers in front of them on his phone paging through Facebook or Instagram. I couldn't tell sat down knowing and no one acknowledged us or said anything to us. Unfortunately I made the mistake of putting my elbows on the bar only to find that no one had wiped the bar down and it was sticky from the previous guest. You don't have those drinks are. And anyway we sat there for 5 minutes not being acknowledged while the girl worked away making the drinks. She couldn't even look down at us to say I'll be with you in a moment. She was too to focused on how many shots to put in the drink. Like I said I normally like this place and use the one on East main Street on Huntington and this one I use if I'm up on Jericho but someone needs to go in there and retrain these people on how to greet and acknowledge guests when they arrive as well as if they're standing around split the duties. Maybe wipe down the bar get some water for the guests. Good luck with this now. I hope you make some changes

I haven't been here in a while, I live locally, last summer I ordered quite a few times, and one of those times I asked for extra meat and hardly had anything. Today, I spent 4$ for extra meat, and I checked, because of what happened to me last year, there was hardly any meat to begin with, let alone adding 4$ for extra meat. When I mean hardly anything, I mean hardly anything. Beans and rice are the cheapest foods you can buy, wholesale and at a supermarket. So the 13$ for the regular price for rice and beans, and meat the give you, is most all profit. Hardly any meat before the extra meat. Seems I'm not the only person to review this problem, let alone those who did not put a review. Again, hardly any meat to begin with, let alone I paid an extra 4$ for extra meat, nothing. I won't return because I don't feel like checking my dish worried if I have been scammed.

Me and my husband each order a burrito with everything in it. Once the food was delivered it only had rice and nothing else. We were charged the full price for each burrito. We spent $40 on a wrap with rice. This is very ridiculous! They cheat! please be careful when you order from this place.
