Stopped to get an iced sugar free Caramel Truffle from one of my favorite coffee shops this afternoon. I went inside and was promptly greeted with a warm welcome. While waiting in line I had an opportunity to just observe the barista Harley she seemed to be working alone this afternoon which is unusual, however by the way she was quickly focused and knocking those drink orders out you would’ve assumed it was the work of 2-3 baristas. I’m genuinely impressed with her efficiency and positive attitude while clearly working under pressure! Be kind to your local baristas folks they’re working hard to make you your tasty cup of joe.

Great drinks, delicious pastries and friendly & helpful staff. The ambiance is relaxed and clean. You could drop in and have a quick drink, or start a little and get some work done on your laptop. Their nitro cold brew is about the best I’ve had.

Stopped a few times since they opened. Super friendly staff. Coffee is really good and the couple of food items I have had were good. They honor their rewards system. They did get my drink wrong this morning and I am sure if I was close enough to go back they would make it right. I do think it is weird that there are no phone numbers listed on the website where you can call the store. I wanted to call not so much to complain but to make sure they knew of the error. Helps with customer service. Anyway, stop in if you get a chance.

Stopped by today on opening day and was very impressed. They were super busy because drinks were free today but they still managed the drive thru line very well. We tried the Irish coffee and the Blackout - both super tasty. I’ll definitely be coming back!

I ordered Instacart Uber eats and I dislike grabbing coffee from out because I’m picky and they never get it right, but when I’m traveling Im forced to. However employee named Jillian A made my iced shaken espresso and my god it’s the best I’ve ever had outside of home. I pray the best for you Jillian.

My daughter and I stopped at the Hurst location for a pick me up brew of coffee after a day of Antique shopping and WOW!! We were impressed! They young man who took our order was SUPER sweet (wish I would have remembered his name!) we had our coffee in hand as he finished ringing us up. No wait at all!!!!! My daughter ordered an Iced Mexican Mocha and I ordered just a plain cowboy style coffee and both our drinks were very smooth tasting and the perfect flavor. We sat inside and the atmosphere is both inviting and relaxing, loved the décor and we will def. return.

Your coffee strained my marriage. Yesterday my lovely spouse asked why I had a hot pink smudge on my nose. I had no idea. We spent hours going over my day in detail, but nowhere did I remember encountering a believable source of pink. This morning, while still talking about it, we both happened to look down and see the hot pink writing on our coffee lids. Aha! The coffee is still delicious enough to risk marital suspicion over. I'd buy it again.

Loved this place! I've driven by the one in Southlake and just never stopped. Saw the one in Hurst and went in. I got an iced Mexican mocha that was super delicious. Not to strong, not too sweet, made perfectly. This is one of my top 2 coffee shops now. Loved the decor and the comfy chairs.

I go to this Black Rock multiple times a week. Not only because the drinks are amazing, but because the staff is so friendly and welcoming. I feel like I always leave smiling!

We hold a secular kid's D&D meetup here every week, and it is a great location for it. The staff is always very friendly, the coffee is good, the facilities are always clean, and there are big tables. What more could you want?

I like to try different coffee spots in the midcities area and decided to try Black Rock simply because it’s convenient. This place is BRIGHT - tons of natural light from all of the windows - yet warm because of the wood and brick walls. I also loved the mural. The coffee was great. I got my go to cortado. It wasn’t on the menu but they hooked me up. Service was great. Environment great. I’ll be back!

Blackrock is one of the better coffee options in the area. The service is quick and always get the order right. The food options are okay but prefer the drinks.

They have soy , almond and oat alternatives to milk. Lots of flavors , usually pretty quick. Lattes are good, iced drinks and frozen fuels are great. Only complaint is sometimes I have to get nitro cold brew instead of regular. Which isn't an issue. Staff is friendly and nice. Solid coffee bar

Service was great but my coffee tastes like the shots were pulled too fast. Very bitter.

The latte wasn't bad, but it wasn't great either. Had to wait a while for someone to help. The guy seemed stressed. Hopefully, he'll get the help he needs.

Coffee was just ok. It was free so that was good. The guy directing cars didn’t seem to know what he was doing. The biggest issue- the cups are dang hot and the have no sleeves on cup. Ask for a sleeve or double cup.

Love the coffee and most staff is friendly but there is just a certain employee that is rude for no reason I asked if my drink could be remade and she proceeded to argue with me.

I have really had it with whoever is running this location because it is by far the slowest drive thru I have ever been through. I know it is not the employees fault and they are always nice and make the best drinks. But whoever is the manager needs to do better. There should not be only one person running the entire place. Where is the manager? Why aren’t they in store helping so the wait is not 30 min in a drive thru. Guess I will be going to Southlake location from now on.

Didn’t find anything wow on the coffee. The reason I reduce 1 star for not getting my coffee right. I asked for easy/less ice but got half of my cup with ice. Second star reduce for not honoring their special that they say that’s going on but purchase first then you get reward next visit. Clear promotion would be nice. Environment is good but can’t sit here comfortably to be working. May be more of hangout place. Felt little pricy for sure as I know bunch of coffee place near by has more good vibe and great tasting coffee. To many new bee working so really too loud when they talking. Sure the coffee and food was good but the online ordering experience was very frustrating. The Black Rock app doesn't let you order food. The website doesn't let you order a simple drip coffee. So if you want food and drip coffee you can't order both on one platform... unless one of the other 9 order platforms has both options, but I don't have time to explore 9 order platforms for such a simple order. So we ordered online and I went to the store to pick up the order and also order and wait for a drip coffee. Arrived to a store early in the morning with zero customers inside and zero in the drive through... but my order was still on the printer and had not been started. So ordering ahead saved no time at pickup. I started to grab a couple cup lid stoppers, but the employee put a little round sticker over the lid holes. So now we have sticky glue where we are supposed to put our mouth. I got home and was half finished with my coffee and food and received a text saying my online order was ready for pickup. Worthless notification from a near-worthless online ordering platform. Also, your hours on Apple Maps show you open at 9 am every day, so there's that. So many locations across multiple states, and you still have all these little nuisances.... I hope you actually look at your processes and make some improvements, but in the meantime I'll go somewhere that has similar quality but much less friction in the customer experience.

I got a Fuel (energy drink) and it tasted alright, but not nearly as flavorful as other places energy drinks; it just tasted like a Monster. On top of that, the flavor syrups are way too sugary, to the point that it made my teeth hurt and my tongue feel strange. The “large” size leaves something to be desired since it’s smaller than Starbucks, 151 Coffee, or Dutch Bros; you definitely get more bang for your buck other places. The one strong point is I asked for light ice, and they put in barely any ice which is how I like my iced drinks. They’re definitely trying to be similar to 151, but the workers here are not nearly as friendly or outgoing. It wasn’t a bad experience, but I don’t necessarily see myself coming back.

I only had a matcha as I met up with a friend to talk and then do schoolwork. I think this spot is great for meetups, but if you have to read or do other focused activities, no. It was too loud with other people’s conversations and the music. My matcha was good. I cleaned my own table, no big deal, I’m sure if I told someone who worked there, they would have done it. I only saw 2 people behind the counter and they were busy helping other customers. Someone did come out as I was leaving with a cloth to wipe down tables. Overall, I’d return to hang out.

Dropped in for the first time to check it out yesterday and although the staff were kind, my drink was cold. The gentlemen working appeared to be having fun screaming Taylor Swift songs, but just not paying attention. My assumption is that's why my drink was cold. The drink tasted good but it being cold sort of ruined my experience.

Staff is attentive and helpful, but you will end up paying $7+ for an average coffee at best.

Paid over $6 for a 20 oz. iced coffee that was mostly ice. There was nearly $1 upcharge for Almondmilk, which costs the same at the grocery store as regular milk. I don't like when places punish you for having a lactose intolerance. The girl who took my order was very friendly and warm. I would have given one star for the coffee if it weren't for her. They make Starbucks look cheap and their coffee was sub par and scarce (because of all the ice). Maybe some other drinks are worth it but I won't be back.

My first time visiting Black Rock Coffee Bar and it didn't turn out well. I was in the area on the way to visit a friend of mine and he wanted me to get him a large fresh drip coffee and I wanted an espresso with sugar, but apparently they were out of drip coffee. So the barista made an Americano in place of the coffee, and gave me only that. I asked for my espresso but apparently she dumped it in the Americano, so she made another one in a separate cup but no sugar. It was too strong and my friend was not impressed.

I got the xl matcha latte. clearly was just milk with a sprinkle of matcha because it was basically white. I ordered it with oatmilk. I did not receive oatmilk. I thought it tasted funny, but just chalked it up to it being mostly milk and not matcha at all. It was definitely cows milk. I sat down at the couches and my head started hurting so bad it felt like i was just gonna fall over and pass out. I packed up and as soon as i made it back to my car i started projectile vomiting in the parking lot. Funny but also not. I threw up everything. Went home and threw up some more. I haven’t drank cows milk in probably 10 years. I haven’t consumed dairy at all in the last 4. 0/5 honestly but 2 stars for a honest mistake and bonus point for the size being xl. Should definitely actually put a good amount of matcha in there though, and the right milk of course.

Treating delivery drivers like 3rd class citizens , especially when I’m fighting cancer and just trying to make money, is ridiculous. I let them know who I was there for a minute after arriving only to wait ten minutes to be told I’ll make yours after the next person in the drive through. I have someone’s hot food in the car that is not the policy and it should be done already it’s one drink. Will never spend my money or pick up here again goodbye

Was in drive threw ..speaker box yes said we are not using speaker box at this time ..pull to window..sat there looking at 2 workers one looking rite at me..did not acknowledge me ..sat there waiting ..2 workers still standing there.. waiting..grab my phone..looked at the one looking at me ..other one turned around came to window and said I'll be with you in a little bit ..nope got to go.. Workers like this ..well not make you any customers this was my first time there and last ..no coffee

Usually do not leave a bad review because I am definitely not a “Karen” however customer service at Black Rock is terrible, literally. I came in to simply buy a gift card for a present and waiting in line. (I was the only one.) Waited exactly 32 min to simply watch the employees catch up with i’m assuming online orders and drive thru, however it was slow inside. Not to mention I wasn’t even greeted when I came in or was told sorry about the wait, employees pretended as if I was just not there even though they saw me waiting, and this is coming from someone who has worked retail and food industry . I went to Starbucks down the street instead which was packed however was greeted with a smile and was helped out quickly. Black Rock I will say bravo for the creative drinks, but what good is it if there is no one to help or serve you? They probably would’ve asked for a tip on their little iPad as well if I ended up waiting even longer just to buy the gift card LOL. Very disappointed.

This place was good when it first opened a few weeks ago. I had a poor experience (drive-thru) yesterday and I stopped by to speak with a manager this morning. I was dismissed by the manager, ignored. I asked for a phone number. I reached out and have yet to hear from anyone. Update: I have yet to receive any feedback from this location. Only an email from Vivian stating they would discuss. I had to contact corporate and they responded right away. Corporate addressed the issue and made it right

This was quite possibly the worst coffee I've ever had in my entire life. I ordered the caramel cookie latte and it tastes how someone with Body Odor smells. It's literally that bad. It's acidic, it's burns in your mouth, and there is zero caramel flavor. It's just bad coffee taste. Folgers taste better than this. Also if you want any of their baked goods, 100% get them heated. I didn't get the muffin heated because I didn't want it too hot for my 1 year old. So I got a rock hard, frozen solid muffin handed to me. I didn't realize my choices were hot or frozen. I'm really curious why it's so hard to find good coffee in the DFW metroplex, because this was straight up foul.

Terrible service employee was very rude and very unprofessional!!! I paid $4.98 for this drink, where is the rest of it??? This isn’t worth the price, I guess the employee was gonna fill the rest up with ice had I not requested no ice. I love the coffee here and wanted to try something new but never again will I purchase anything from here again!!! Word of advice if you don’t like your job find something else it isn’t worth having an attitude with customers while giving customer service! This was purchased on 01/012025 at the drive thru!
