Ione Chinese Restaurant

I must say our 2nd experience ordering here was definitely better than our first. The lady who helped was super nice, patient and went over different options I had for questions.i ended up ordering by dish instead of the dinner per person options which were good but you can't swap out chow mein for fried rice and im feeding a pregnancy craving tonight 😁 food was prepped and ready to go faster than I thought it would be and tastes so good! The only thing I could say was I was the mandarin chicken which was on the menu as spicy wasn't as spicy as I'd hoped but still cooked well

Friendly and fast service. Beef Chow Fun, Vegetable Chow Mein, Ma Po Tofu and BBQ Pork Fried Rice were very good. Sesame chicken and honey walnut shrimp were also very good. Shrimp Chow Fun is delicious. Wonton soup was perfect.

I don't know why I hadn't been here before, but I'm glad I did. I had the sesame chicken with pork fried rice, and hot and sour soup. The price was excellent, the food was delicious, and the service was on point! I'll be back again shortly, and I'm recommending this spot to as many people as I can. Come for lunch and dinner!

Absolute best Chinese restaurant. Not just in Amador County but ever! Chicken chow mein and the Sesame Chicken were sooooo good! Great flavor. Honey walnut shrimp and pork fried rice were also super tasty. The service was fast and friendly too.

We ordered take out. We ordered 3 dishes and soup. Everything was perfection. Orange chicken was some of the best I have had.

Excellent food and service. Very quiet and clean. If you are a glutton for food, go here. The food kept coming, and I had to get 4 to-go boxes even after I ate. Well worth the price.

My wife and I live in San Andreas and decided to find a great Chinese restaurant for our anniversary. After reading the reviews online, we choose to drive to Ione and see if the rave reviews were warranted. My wife ordered the Honey Walnut Shrimp dish and I ordered the Sizzling Panfried Noodles. These dishes were as good as any Chinese Restaurant food we have ever tasted. I wish I could add an exclamation mark after my 5 star rating!

No this is only my opinion and I love Chinese food and I've been to every one of them in a hundred mile radius of Jackson and even into the Bay Area and Reno area and I would say this is some of the best Chinese food there is available so if you're around Jackson or the city of Ione treat yourself and stop at the Ione Chinese restaurant don't go anywhere else in the area what you can if you want that's your decision but if you want the best it's in the little town of Ione Chinese restaurant that is that's about all I have to say you have a wonderful day and stay safe.

I'm from the bay area and eat in China Town often. This has to be the best Chinese Food I've had in all of Northern California. It's a real treat to order the popo platter if you are dining inside, especially if you have kids. It's just amazing and the kids will love it! Great shrimp, chow mein, orange chicken. The honey walnut prawns are the best I've ever had.

Best Chinese I’ve had! Fresh shrimp, fresh veggies, I tasted my friend’s orange chicken and OMG that was hot and juicy in the middle and freshly crunchy on the outside. No nasty sickly feeling afterwards, plus the iced tea was oolong and OMG best iced tea I’ve had!

Ione Chinese is the best Chinese food in the county. The food looks and tastes so freah. And their prices are reasonable and good portion sizes too. The staff are also super friendly. I would definitely recommend eating here.

Love this place, definitely the best Chinese food in Amador county. The potstickers are my favorite! The staff is always polite and helpful as well. I’m so glad this place popped back up again after the COVID lockdowns.

I make a great General Tso's, BUT this place is the best around this area. Crispy chicken with that yummy sauce. I dig right in before taking pics... next time

We loved it went there on mother's Day they were so busy but still took time to make sure that we got what we needed everything was cooked fresh and I mean fresh unlike the Panda House that cooks all their food ahead and then rewarms in their styrofoam containers which by the way can cause you to be very sick so again I love them food was awesome prices were great 1450 for a family style dinner what you got appetizers soups fried rice all kinds of good stuff I recommend them highly!

The fried rice was great, it even had the right color, not white rice with some veggies thrown in. Plenty of food, enough for lunch the next day. The flavors of everything was amazing.

Hidden in the back of this little shopping center it’s little hard to find. Although the county has opened do indoor dining this facility is not allowing it. The sizzling garlic chicken and vegetables was excellent. But keep in mind currently everything else to go

Food was not as good as before. There's not much sauce in the sweet and sour pork. It was really dry. Chicken Chow Mein was not that great, either.

Updaye: Decided to get some lunch here today. The waitress is NOT accomodating to food allergies. Today's food tastes burned. No heat in the building even with power. Older waitress needs an attitude adjustment. ☺

Ordered ahead 20 minutes in advanced. This place was not busy. When I arrived the person saw me and then decided to ask the table eating for drink refills before asking me about my order. She then charged me $52 for an order that the got wrong. How I got pot stickers instead of pork fried rice I'll never know. After asking for my order she then walked away and came back asking if I needed help . After 5 minutes THE SAME LADY came up to me and asked me if I needed to be helped. I'm assuming this is the same lady that took my order and hung up on us before taking a name or giving us our total. Then another lady comes to me asking if I need help and I tell her my order has been paid for I'm waiting for it and gave her my number she then walked away for a few minutes and returned to ask if I needed help. I AM NOT EXAGGERATING THIS! Then another customer comes in and picks up his food the second he walked in. I asked how long ago he ordered and he replied 10 15 minutes ( I have now been in the restaurant for at least 10 minutes and that's after calling 22 minutes in advance). After sitting down and stretching out to be an inconvenience they finally brought me my food. Once I got home I found that the bottom of my bags were filled with liquid. Not a fan of the way they run their restaurant. I will say the food is good but not good enough to deal with the BS. I will be going into Elk Grove from now on.

After my experience recently, I may never return. I had called ahead, and ordered and thought I clarified specifically what I wanted, the lady took no interest in addressing my questions when I had asked specifically if the rice was included as part of the entrée, she was very short. I understand people are busy, and I knew exactly what I wanted as I have ordered in the past before, I then called again to make sure that there was fried rice, mid way I got hung up on. I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt and as I pick up my order there was no rice, for what I had payed for, it did not add up. The lady at the register didn’t seem to take any consideration that the order was wrong and did nothing to correct it.

Thieves!!!! I went on-line and pulled up their dinner menu. "Dinner A" $8.95 per person. Ordered for 3 people; should have been $27.00 +tax. THEY CHARGED $47.93!!!! My sister picked up the food, gave employee $55.00. IN ADDITION... THE EMPLOYEE HAD A TOTAL ATTITUDE LIKE THAT WASNT ENOUGH TIP!
