We got there just before lunch started. Pretty extensive menu. My husband got the buffet and he said it was very fresh. I opted for the chicken fried steak sandwich and it was great!

We were staying at the state park near by and went out for lunch and to see the city. This place had a lunch buffet with fried fish and several sides. The staff was friendly and the food was good.

I was happy to see the Green Frog become the Green Frog again and with Dairyland closing, this icon should see even more business. I used to eat here as a kid and I ate there again recently. It's still the incredible home cooking place I remember. I had the catfish, with the large and varied salad bar. My colleagues had the chicken fried steak and chicken friend chicken, both smothered in gravy. We all left full and happy. Can't wait to get back there again.

I try to time my trips through Texas to arrive at the Green Frog in time for lunch. Chicken fried steak on a buffet? I'm in Heaven (or at least close). Great food, great people.

I took my crew of 10 to the lunch buffet. The food was excellent. Whoever made the candied yams. 🤌🏾. It’s was awesome. I most definitely recommend this place

The food was exquisite. It's been a while since I've eaten at a place like this. Ordered catfish, frog legs, burger and chicken fried chicken. All was amazing. Well done!

Cute restaurant with a great buffet or a complete menu to choose from. We chose to have burgers and fries...best fries I've had in a very long time. The burger was good too and big enough for two people.

Good old fashioned atmosphere. Hudson, the young man that waited on me was very attentive and polite. Food was great. Will definitely go back when I am in the area.

We have been to Jacksboro several times and have wanted to stop in at the green frog because it looks like a great diner. We got the chance last week stopped in and it did not disappoint. The chicken fried steak is the size of a plate and the buffet was fried catfish with all the fixings Not only looked great but tasted great as well. They have big as your hand yeast rolls and you can even order a delicious strawberry salad for the lighter side. All in all when passing through Jacksboro, we will definitely make the green frog one of our regular spots take note they are open for breakfast through lunch closing at two no dinner service that we know of

Just driving through town and stopped in for lunch. It was great! My chicken fired chicken was juicy fried just right. But the star of my plate was the grilled veggies and fried squash. I could eat this everyday.

Everything was amazing! We were just passing through town and were kind of skeptical but it was AMAZING!!! I had a chicken fried chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy and it was just like grandma's home cooked meal! My family members had fish, a chicken fried steak meal, chicken strip and a club sandwich! It was all great! We will be now stopping each time we come to Texas!!

Buttermilk I think? Ever so slightly salty but I’m sure the gravy and mashed potatoes was supposed to mellow/balance that out but I missed getting some of that. Would 100% go again.

Unfortunately we missed the buffet. But what we order was fantastic. The service was top notch! Thanks Lib. And very very clean!!!

The back room had an open leak in the roof, the tiles were falling as water was dropping, the staff didn’t know their own menu, the staff was not prepared with kids menus nor did they know what items were on the children’s menu, the staff also looked extremely confused when asked about splitting the bill and the food didn’t really have any flavor. Maybe we just caught everyone on an off day but still…

Mashed potatoes were so salty I might as well have licked a salt block. Grilled veggies, trash. Steak was supposed to be medium; had to saw at it with a knife. Catfish tasted like it had been in a freezer since the place reopened. Shrimp was so bad I didn’t even take it to feed to my dog. All of the sides would have been better if they were out of a microwave hungry man meal. I could go on being we wasted $77 on trash food. Highly do not recommend. This over priced place needs shut down because I’m sure this has caused some high cholesterol and heart attacks. Have a good day.

Was Eating lunch. Overheard staff screaming and hollering at a customer. Tell him never to come back ridiculous. Just an old man eating lunch. I will never go to this place again. Poor man scared him Half to death. Disgusting.
