We had a great lunch here with a group of people. Lollipop chicken was good. So was the the chicken wings. Soups were good too - different than expected. Sizzling beef and Manchurian fish (with gravy) we're also very good. I would definitely go back and try more things. Prices are very reasonable.

We stopped by Sagar Chinese during the past Christmas weekend, a nostalgic spot from our childhood. The menu options and service remain consistent with what we remember, though the food quality isn’t quite as exceptional as it used to be. Still, it’s a good choice for a casual family meal.

We had Lolly Pop Chicken, Fried Chicken Wanton, chicken Corn Soup, chicken Thai Soup, Sizzling Beef ( came with Steamed rice) and Manchurian chicken (dry, came with steamed rice as well). I usually provide 5 star if The service of restaurant/ waiter, washroom and quality of food can meet the standards. We were a group of 5 people, the waiter ( actually waitress) was really nice. Food quality was good ( had far better quality of Sizzling beef and corn soup from other restaurants). The washroom floor was wet ( which is reasonable because of the customer demography) but this problem can be resolved with a blower fan.

The chicken wings weren’t as good as I expected—they tasted like they had mango lassi poured on top. The beef was a bit chewy and lacked flavor. The general tso’s chicken was good and nicely spicy, but it was missing broccoli. Service was fast and friendly. They do add a service charge to the bill and then ask for a tip on top of that, which doesn’t make much sense since the tip is calculated on the amount including the service charge. Overall, it didn’t taste like authentic Chinese food.

This place is a hype . We heard that Chinese food here tastes like Bangladeshi Chinese. So we came from very far awY ! But no way to compare. Best food was chicken lipop . The thai soup close to BD taste but not similar . It tasted more ginger . Fried rice is no close to bd taste . The chili tiger prawn is most expensive still the worst one . Very disappointing experience .

We ordered masala chowmein today from Sagar, and it seemed like the salt was completely missing. We also got chicken lollipop, which is my all-time favorite and was good, but the chicken momo was very dry this time usually, it’s much juicier. Yesterday, I went to Sagar Chinese Restaurant. I took my family there after a long time for a meal, but the quality of their food has become so terrible that it’s indescribable. Our whole family got sick after eating their food, and they charge a lot. One of the charges includes a “bar service”—I don’t know what that means—but then they also take a 15% service charge as well. I will never eat at this restaurant again, not even by mistake, because their food is no longer like it used to be. The food was cold, and their iftar was even worse—I mean, that iftar food was not worth eating at all.

there is no option to give 0 starts so i gave a 1 star. I went there with my family since they opened and recently i checked them out the waiters are disrespectful they behaved entitled. They treat you based on how a person dresses and mind you i didn’t dress weirdy, but no matter how you dress you shouldn’t be judged for that. They was treating bunch of these grown men who was very loud and disruptive better than me and my family like thats very disrespectful and rude the owner needs to fire these employees and get new ones you can not run a business with poor customer service . Thats horrible and disgusting. The entitlement is beyond disgusting. Just because you don’t like the way someone dresses doesn’t mean you treat them less than others. First of all as a waiter its your job to be respectful and take order not make faces or talk like you are forced to be kind. If being kind is very hard for you why even work there just quit!

The service is horrible, and the quality of the food matches that being absolutely horrible. I ordered takeout, they did not give any utensils, no napkins, no forks, nothing. Besides the quality and taste of food being garbage, the portions are also bad for a normal family size of 4. for example the wontons the price is 7.95 for very small pieces. the fried rice with beef which i brought two boxes of had barely any beef and was mostly rice.

I don't think the chef(s) have ever actually tasted real Bangladeshi-Chinese cuisine. Low effort cooking, maximizing profits. Service was slow and they didn't really have a good idea of the dishes they are serving. Sagar Chinese has been on a downhill for a while. It is now at the bottom.

The rice have we are given our bad. There is weird, dirty stretchy stuff coming out of the rice that normally comes out when the rice are really old or from the day before. Or maybe they just left rice out in the kitchen and they went bad because it is so hot outside. Either way is not justified. My kids it’s ate a few bites when I did not know the rice were bad and got really sick. Horrible experience

One of the worst food I have had in queens. Ordered beef sizzling and chicken chowmin both were lacking taste or seasoning. Beef tasted like in hot water without any herbs or spices. Chowmin was also tasteless. Tried their chicken Thai soup as well which was also less tasty. They really need to change whoever is in charge of the kitchen.

Absolutely horrible customer service. We ordered fried rice, chow mein, lollipop chicken, and vegetables. Everything was bland except for the lollipop chicken was decent and as for Customer Service absolutely horrific. Sat down for a good 15 minutes and nobody came up to us took them forever to even get us. Our drinks and the restaurant was empty. Even asked for ice cups for our drinks and they came back with one when we had four people. And they have a mandatory 15% service charge which they did not deserve at all.
