So im adding / updating my post to say wow i like rhe fish. Hands down you have captain D and long John Silvers beat both portions and cost. It doesn't have that nasty pond taste. The chicken ya NO. PS lighten up on the sugar in the sweet tea Americans are heavy enough. As far as the chicken. You can always taste the oil the chicken is fried in, like a after taste doesn't matter what location i have tried. Don't care much for your chicken.

This Chicken Express has it together. Their tea is better than any at any of the Chicken Expresses I have a drink at. Also you can ask for Arnold Palmer and they will make one and it is delicioso. Glad to be representing my hometown of Joshua.

Recently they made a mistake on my order we called you saved our receipt when we went back they had our name and they knew exactly what happened and we placed it it was wonderful to see you somebody keep their word. The food there is very good there hot wings or exceptional my son of course loves her apple pies I think we probably eat there at least twice a month. Keep up the good work Chicken Express

Everything was great , freshly made, sabastian is one of the best employees there,he was fast and very friendly, will happily return to this location.

You are not doing this place any favors by stopping in for some food, it's actually just the opposite. Believe it or not you are doing yourself and your taste buds a favor. Everything I have tried on the menu has been very tasty, I have never been disappointed. They have a new item on the menu that will blow your socks off, so if your feet need to be aired out then you must try their catfish.

Due to the storm they were so busy! But did very well in making sure everyone got their orders complete!! They were doing a fantastic job!! Our food was hot, fresh, and delicious!!

Ice tea was the bomb! Loved their ice. Ordered family size fried okra. The box was bulging full of okra, we couldn't even eat it all. It was hot, fresh and fantastic.

So yummy, I could eat fried okra from hear everyday. My family loves the jalapeno poppers. This place was super busy when I went but all the staff were ever so graceful while stressed 😊

It has been a while since I’ve had an WOW! experience at this location I would like to brag about. Today I used the drive thru to pick up an order for my family and Eden was very nice and kind. She was just warm and overall pleasant. I left and when I got home I found that I didn’t have my French fries I ordered. I was upset, but after returning and letting the two girls in the drive thru know what happened I was pleasantly surprised. Kristin? Could be wrong name, welcomed me at the window and was ready to reconcile the mistake. I let her know I did revise my order and I apologized. She made no excuses and was happy to fulfill my request for the French fries. It came out quick o the original order and the fries. Both ladies were extremely kind with me and I let them know they were the friendliest people there I’ve encountered in a while. I hope this reaches them and their bosses. Had a great experience at this location. Went in to purchase a large take out order. Taylor at the counter was so friendly and took great care of us. Our food was packed correctly and fast. There were a ton of employees ready to help out on a busy Friday night. Yes it’s expensive, all fast food has gone up!! It is also so tasty and worth it for our family when we want a treat to feed a large gathering.

According to the receipt-was awesome! motioned a "shush" to him cuz I didn't want the person on the other end to hear I was at the drive-thru. He caught the message real quick he kindly gave me my change pointing out I had accidentally given him additional dollar. I appreciate his honesty and integrity it says so much. Great service and convenient location. The chicken is tender most of the time. On occasion I've gotten tough, chewy strips, but that isn't often.

This time not good,, i ordered 2 xl drinks had to say three times to get it right, speaker person said 3 dollars, drove around guy brings out 2 drinks said 5 dollars i explained speaker said 3, nothing he could do about it, so to hell with it i gave 5 bucks drove away, got home had coke and sweet tea, i ordered 2 unsweetened tea, bad service, bad everything.

Usually good but taste of heavy salt or no salt depends on whos cooking that day.. no consistency.. Other than that good place..

They have great chicken livers. They also have great chicken. They're willing to dry up your livers fresh they don't sit around all day long. Prices are real good.

I drove up at 9:56 I didn’t want to be “that customer” who shows up late but I was really hungry and wanting sweet tea lol. The girl who took my order was okay but the Short girl with braces was so kind!!! She was pretty cool to talk to and when I asked for some hot sauce she didn’t make a face like some people do. The food was great too! My experience was overall good!

I'm a huge fan of Chicken express! They've got awesome food and Yes! But every time my husband brings my food home from drive thru my order is never right. They forget the pepper or give 2 pieces when I order 3. Tighten up on making sure orders are right please!!!

The staff is always friendly whenever I go and they work hard to maintain a family-like atmosphere. The place is clean, the food is good, and there's plenty of room to have a chat as you eat. Try the tea, it's delicious.

New to Joshua and this has been my go to place, chicken and portions are awesome for the price. Catfish is hit and miss sometimes tough and overcooked but customer service is always awesome and consistant. 4 months later dropped from 5 to 4 stars. Catfish hard and cold, fries cold.

The food at this Chicken E was really good. Unfortunately the guy working the front counter really acted as though he did not want to be there.

I have never been missing anything from my order at chicken express, and boy do they know how to make it up to you. I was missing my side of fries when my husband came home with our dinner last night and I thought no big deal. I can survive one night without french fries. I called and Sonya got us squared away. She added our name and threw in a gallon of sweet tea. I was expecting a small little bag of fries when my husband got home today and he comes in with his gallon of sweet tea and a whole box side of fries. I am very appreciative of the customer service. Just goes to show we are all human and make mistakes but our attitude towards the situation makes a big difference.

Please bring back the old fries, the crinkle fries just are not as good. Very disappointed when I opened up my box to see crinkle fries.

Normally I have no issues, and I hope it wasn't due to anything but a lot of business at once, but this is the first time they've forgotten a part of my order.

We used to love this place. The old owner is not there anymore. We were so sad to see him gone and the variety was not there. We won't be back.

Since Joshua location they are all awesome there I never have a problem they are so friendly and happy and I love to come there because they just make you feel like everything's all right they got you a+ to everyone

So, I went there on my way home. Ordered my food when I got home, I noticed it was overcooked, the Mac and cheese looked like it was from yesterday, and it was not even hot.

Rolls are like crack but after eating health at home it's not as good as it once was.Im use to earing non gmo and not eating fried foods Diarehachachacha

Good, but almost every time I go they don’t give the number of rolls I ask for, and the cheese sticks side has been getting smaller used to get 4, today I got 2

This particular store is always hit or miss. The food is great I mean its Chicken E. The last time I was there the tables needed to be wiped off and the floor needed to be swept, the bathroom was a little dirty as well. Chicken E has young management, that they pay $10 an hour, get an older manager and pay them salary and you'll have better service and a cleaner establishment.

Ordered the #1 4 tender combo. One of them was less than 2 inches long. Looked like a sad little nugget. The Burleson location is twice as far but maybe I'll drive there and try it out next time. Food was still good quality, and the last time I came here I didn't have this problem. Just maybe need a memo from management to the staff about what's acceptable for a tender size. I'm willing to wait the 4-6 minutes it takes to get a new batch cooked if they're all full sized.

The chicken is always good but if you're going to have the catfish you need to order inside but it's worth the wait!

Normally, Chicken Express is a good value restaurant, but stopped in to try their new Spicy chicken strips and I was disappointed. $6.87 for 2 strips and 3 cheese sticks seems (to me) to be high price. And they definitely weren't that spicy. And if I'm going to pay a high price per piece of chicken, I'll go somewhere with higher quality.

This corporate chain has nearly priced themselves out of reach for my budget. I will not be visiting very often.

💥 Expensive Expensive Expensive!!💥 3.5% added to $'s!!💰 Just be aware of that part of eating here before you go. If you can get past this, the food is wonderful. Employees are really friendly and location is clean. The wait is sort of long either eat-in or drive thru, but then again if you want fresh food that's what you want right?! The Joshua Tx location just began adding 3.5% credit card usage fees to their menu prices if you use your debit card or credit card. If you use cash, you will ONLY see a discount on receipt. Pay Attention! Make sure you know what your getting into here. It's awful this is their choice with only a teeny tiny note posted on the menu & not much notice to customers. My advice PAY IN CASH!!! 😁

Ordered chicken mac n cheese and family gravy. They gave me two order of the bread rolls instead and no gravy. What good is the chicken without Gravy. :-( i guess the only way you can get gravy is ordering mashed potatoes but their mashed potatoes do not taste good. Very dry n old.

This location always is on point with delicious food. The only problem is they are super slow. Sitting in the drive thru with nobody else behind me. Waited 10+ minutes for four pieces of chicken. It’s definitely worth the wait don’t get me wrong. Just kind of no point to the “express” in chicken express.

The Joshua Texas location was rude when they entered the intercom. Then I had to wait see what seemed like forever for food. They weren't busy. There were five workers. Then when I got my food none of it was hot and fresh. Have no idea what took so long.

Used to be one of my favorite places. I used to buy a 40 piece chicken tenders with sides and a gal of sweet tea for no more than $50. Now, sadly, it's a 30 tender with sides and tea for $77. It's no longer worth it. I might as well just go to Cheddar's and enjoy the food there.

When they have what you want in Joshua, it's great. Most of the time they don't have any of what you want. Dark or white Chicken they are always out of something.

They messed up my order.I ordered all dark and got mixed.I dont like white meat and didnt put napkins in the bag so i had to drive with grezzy hands.Churches is way better.

Never given an option to wait for mac and cheese to be done. They just say we ran out. Choose something else. Its 6 pm. This happens often in Joshua location.

make sure u bring cash unless u want to pay for using your card...they charge a "fee" for using Debit card $1.45 ( I think is a ripped off ) I order 2 drinks .92cts each they charge me 1.99 The tenders were small my fingers were bigger than those things ,not friendly staff .... Never going back...

Been there 5 times they got 1 order right with the food nice and hot. 2 times i got the wrong order. Once they were out of dark meat. Other 2 the sides were cold. I wont be back.

Cup full of ice to the brim. Chicken legs extra smell I couldn't even see them when I open the box the fries cover the 3 piece of chicken legs.

The chicken has gotten so small and its $10 for a 4 piece now . quality has definitely dropped while the price rises.

Decided after 6 months of having their dining room open and allowing people in with no masks that they would "care about the safety of their employees and guests". Wonder why they didn't care since summer?🤔 Lame.

I went there and bought 30 dollars worth of food and they forgot my fried okra and mash potatoes and the 3 orders I did get it was burnt!! How can u serve some nasty burnt okra??? and remind u I don't live up the street I went back up there to have them replace them all!! I brought it back home and I think they need to change there oil it was a little better but it taste old!

I understand they close at 10pm, but some people work late hours. Get off work at 9pm pull up at 940pm and basically get told its 940 we aren"t cooking any chicken this late. Really?????

Ordered $50 worth of chicken and only got two dipping sauces. The one in burleson is the same distance for me, I’ll just go there I guess for now on. No sauce=big deal

Stopped by Joshua Chicken E yesterday. Not only did it take almost 20 mins for our food. Prices have gone sky high. Not a happy customer at all. And will not be back!

Their website says they have a special 8 piece leg and thigh with six biscuits or rolls, but they say its other stores even though you go directly on their website and says it. Whats worse is I have actually gotten the special before, but now its not their special. They really should straighten it out.

We were bringing our son back to Joshua,Texas and decided to stop at the Chicken Express here in town to eat before taking him home well went through drive thru to pick our orders first off our drinks were terrible and nasty so we told this to the order taker and she apologized but couldn't replace them then they forgot the hot poppers that were ordered and they were fresh and hot as soon as we got them then we drove to a location away from their and stopped to eat what we ordered and our chicken,fries and gravy were cold and later that night my wife and I got sick from this food and both of us had worked in restaurants industry back when we were younger know what food poisoning is like thank God no hospital visit,we have two chicken expresses were we live at and have gotten the same experience don't know if this a certain area location where the district manager doesn't check on these sites but it's a shame spending almost $44 for this and we thought this place was newer and would be better well not going to any of these places anymore

Went to Joshua store on Sunday and again today. There are a bunch of teenage boys that just stand around. When taking our order of 2 teas and 1 cup of ice they don't listen and u have to repeat more than once. Then we sat at the window for 5 minutes with the order setting right there. Doesn't even come to the window grabs our order and takes to the car behind us. Then brings it to us after finding out it's the wrong car. 5 minutes is a bit to long for an order of tea and ice. Thank u

They never get an order right. Always wrong. It is not that hard. ETA: I have not been here in over a year due to service and quality issues. It is such a disappointment to try them again over a year later and realize that nothing has changed.

The kid at the window lied to my wife saying he’s never heard of the jalapeño ranch , then tells me he will look in the back but if he finds them we could only have 1 or 2 ($70 after tax is what we paid for our meal) and then comes back and says oh someone must have been hiding them and hands us the two containers of jalapeño ranch. Almost every time we go here there’s an issue with this sauce. It’s simply part of the meal for me so we will not be back to this location EVER and will go to burleson instead.

They wont let me give zero stars or I would! Horrible been sitting in line since 6:05 pm it is now 6:38pm. At 6:22 pm I arrived at window to get food and was told that the cook did not drop my fish filet because supposedly there was one already up but it was given to someone. I would now have to wait 8 minutes more for it. It has now been 17 more minutes and no food! At 6:45 I am now leaving with no fish fryer went down or got turned off and no one bothered to come tell me until I went in and supposedly they were looking for me' did refund money but still have no supper for my mom.

Went through the drive through this evening and tried ordering the 12 piece mix with 2 sides. I was informed they were completely out of all sides. So I then tried to order the chicken only. I was then told the chicken was going to take 20 minutes. So I just pulled away and went to Golden Chick in Burleson. Kind of crazy when you go to a place that specializes in chicken at 7pm and there's no chicken available.

Very disappointed. Husband went there tonight and ordered two family meals for us 6 kids and two grandkids. After waiting for some time he went inside to check on order and told it would be a little longer they had ran out of strips. After waiting a while longer in dining room he went back to counter and found out they had given our order to someone else. He was refunded his money and kids ate leftovers

Wish there was another location closer to us than this one. They ALWAYS mess up our order. Usually it's a whole side that they forget (which we checked right when they handed us the bag) this time it was 3 tenders in each meal! We live 10 minutes away, and all they want is to do is come back up to get our tenders they forgot. They can't do any partial refunds. They won't replace anything, now that our food will be cold by the time my husband gets back.

Went here Sturday June 24 about 6 in the evening. The service was fine but the food was pretty bad. The chicken tasted old and was dried out. We are really disappointed because it is close to home and wanted a good meal. With the increasing prices this is unacceptable.

If 0 stars was possible, that’s what I would give them. We found a small roach in our food and they had the audacity to insinuate that WE put it there. We were barely serving the food when I found it. This place is DISGUSTING. The way they handled the situation was TERRIBLE. Don’t recommend coming here unless you want bugs in your food and get blamed for it.

I dislike leaving bad reviews but i also dislike paying for something i didn’t order. I pulled up to the drive thru and i did take a while to look at the menu, i can admit. But when i finally ordered i got THE SPICY 4 PIECE TENDER MEAL and but instead i received the regular 4 piece tender meal… i said it loud and clear that i wanted the spicy meal🥲 First of all when i received the food the guy forgot the drink!?!? And when i was looking at the food it was the regular tenders, i brought it up to the person and he proclaimed that i got the regular. i just left it as is, im not trying to hate or snide the workers but it was an inconvenience 💔

You get the order wrong in not mad or upset at all and I just politely corrected them and said no I’m sorry I actually said 1 breast and 2 wings after that “umm yeah I got that…” well no you didn’t because you said 1 breast and 2 legs so no you didn’t get it and tbh IT WASNT A BIG DEAL!! If people have that much ego working at a drive through they need to stay in the back! And not be handed a drive thru microphone. The huffing and puffing with an attitude I can only assume there was an eye roll with it I AM SO SORRY FOR ORDERING FOOD AT YOUR RESTAURANT ILL DEFINITELY BE SURE TO RECONSIDER

The reason for my low rating is because we came to the drive thru and as we were waiting on the food, one of the workers was filling gallon jugs to stock. During this, he wrapped a towel around the spout and the jug, no harm at first until we saw him wipe the counter with said rag, ring it out in water, rub his hands on his clothes and proceeds to put it over a new jug. All while not wearing gloves and touching the spout. Repeating each step. DO NOT buy the gallons of tea from this location. Very disgusted.

So I went and got a 12 piece liver meal yesterday after work and all was fine until I got to the livers themselves, I ordered 12 and it looks like they gave me 24 but once I ate one I knew exactly what happened. Someone there took whatever NON FRESH, and pretty much already non edible livers and just gave me the rest of what they didn’t have to make fresh. Ridiculous. I only ate 1 out of the 20 something I got because it was so gross. I guarantee if one of those employees ate one they wouldn’t wanna eat that trash. Probably won’t be eating here for a very long time.
