This is my husband and my favorite place in Kerrville to belly up to the bar, get a salty "dressed" beer and super nachos to share! Kathleen is always here and she's the BEST bartender. We work hard for a living, so we're not always "dressed" to go out. This place you can come as you are. We appreciate it very much. Chips are served warm and salty. Salsa, just the right amount of spicy goodness for gringos (I like it hot, personally... But theirs tastes so good, I don't ask for anything else) Guacamole is fresh and the cup you pay for is plentiful. Thank you! Plenty of seating. Great servers, full of laughter. Great place.

Its our first time here. The server Nichole was very nice, and answered the questions asked and got us what we needed! Keept our drinks filled up. Definitely a place I would come back to!

The food and service were amazing. I had the Chipotle Ranch Shrimp Tacos with Charro beans and rice. It wasDELICIOUS and filling. My husband had the fish tacos and he agreed they were excellent. We will be back. Thank you Acapulco for a wonderful dining experience.

Kathleen is literally the only reason that I frequent Acapulco. (I also quite enjoy the ladies delight plate) She is the best bartender in Kerrville hands-down! She fresh squeezes, grapefruit juice for my favorite drink, the salty dog! I would give her 1 million stars if I could.

Delicious, inexpensive, very clean and spacious restaurant. Nice music, but background, not loud. Restroom was in perfect condition. The wait staff is friendly and orderly. It is a nice laid back place, but still classy. They have two dining rooms and a separate bar area. Close to I-10 and exit 508. We come here whenever we are in town

First time here and it was a very enjoyable experience. The Biscuit and sausage gravy was Awesome. Large servings and the Green Salsa was spot on.

The size of this place is deceptive! Parking was a breeze with plenty of room in the back. There was a bunch of cars but the area we were sat in was nice and quiet. For the sports fan college ball was on almost every tv. The chips were fresh and crunchy, salsa was tasty but not too hot and everything was clean. Our server asked all the best questions and on top of every request. It’s a nice enough place for a date but don’t worry if you aren’t “dressed” because casually comfy or straight from work is happily greeted and served.

My girlfriend and I live in Dallas, TX. We hiked 13 miles at Lost Maples from 11:30am to 5pm. We were heading to Fredericksburg with starving stomachs. She wanted Mexican food, so I found 3 choices (Margherita City, Acapulco, and Arroyo). We picked this place at 7pm on a Sunday night. Best choice, ever! Our server was unique with a cool personality, and she mixed the best half and half tea I've ever received! We are die hard judges of Fajitas, so we gave in to the good prices of the menu and went for it. Whoever made those Beef Fajitas is a king/queen cook. So tender, juicy, flavorful, and cooked all the way that it makes me wonder if it was real. The strawberry marg was really good too. I just ate some leftovers 2 days later and it's making me mad that I live 5 hrs away. Great place!

Excellent service. Our server was attentive to our needs, but was not hovering over our table so that we could have a private conversation. He was there when we needed something without having to look for him, but otherwise he didn't bother us. Food was good and the atmosphere was comfortable.

The grilled shrimp tacos were very good with a nice slaw on top and mango Pico on the side. The charro beans were also very good. First time back since the renovation and it's nice inside. My wife loves their tortilla soup.

Great little family-friendly Mexican place. Service was top-notch - informal, attentive, and welcoming. Tried the premium margarita. A simple, classical drink done very well. I was also introduced on recommendation to the notion of a “puffy taco”. Similar to a basic ground beef taco, but with a unique corn shell that’s more of a well, puffy, fried masa patty. Very tasty. The queso dip was reminiscent of ballpark nachos, but overall the food was very good. Definitely will repeat when I’m in town for work again.

First time to eat here. Food was good. Staff very friendly and helpful. This is an update...after living here in Kerrville 3 years now this is our favorite Mexican food place and it's all because of their wonderful bartender. She makes the best drinks....her margaritas are perfect. We eat here at least once a week and sit at the bar. We've made friends with others that come regularly. No complaints about any of the food we've tried. If you have a problem, bring it up to the manager or ask your waitress. They are still always friendly and helpful!!

Had the carne guisada tonight, and it was terrific. Well seasoned, tender beef, with piping hot rice and bean sides.

As soon as I looked at the building I knew it was going to be good. When I walked in I immediately got a table by the incredible service. When we ordered both food and drinks, in a flash it was ready. The atmosphere of the restaurant was very comforting, it is a great establishment and I would go again anytime.

The whole family dined at Acapulo for dinner. The Brsiket Plate was the best we ever ate. The Shrimp Enchiladas were ok. The shrimp were a nice size.. The Beef Fajitas were good. We returned the soup. The low score is because, we order 2 kids meals (chicken strips) they were horribly dry, old and hard. The kids ate the fries. We did like that Acapulo was family friendly, we were seated quickly and our food arrived in a timely manner.

Chicken taco salad was ok. Shell was not crisp. Seemed stale. Waiter seated us, brought our food, left the check and disappeared. Never returned to see if we needed anything. Worker was dusting the blinds close to where we were sitting.

I go through the drive thru at least 3 x a week. My food is awesome. BUT they usually forget the chips or and tortillas that I always ask for. Also they just throw my meal together and it's leaking out the container. They seem "put out" to take my $ most of the time. I'll continue to go there until I find a better place. I ordered a chicken chimichanga and got a soft burrito filled with beans and 3 pieces of bland chicken, no cheese inside or rice. The rice and beans were average. Salsa and Queso was basic. Overpriced for average food that is lacking quality. 3 star ⭐️ because our waitress was very kind and understanding.

I had a good ribeye and salad. Fairly busy on a Friday night, but for the amount of staff they had on hand, service was still spread thin. For a meal out of town it sufficed.

We ordered fajitas for 2 and got some kind of chopped up meat with gravy, when we brought it to the attention of our server all we got was an argument about whether or not this mush in front of us was fajitas or not. We ender up walking out with nothing!

Zombie apocalypse is the only reason to come back. Building is relatively clean, service was good. The food tasted , smelled and looked like they just took it out of the microwave pulled the clear plastic of and served it up. The only thing worse is what they charge. The prices here are so high, but you have to pay too dollar to truck it in FRESH from new york!! Stay as far away as you can!!!!!

I had this as a 4star review but now changing it. The restaurant thought it would be extra nice to charge my card twice for my latest trip. Once for the tip only and then a second time for meal cost and tip again. Check your receipt and charges

You never know what you are going to get here. Today fahita plate was cold , refried beans were soup , meat so tuff you couldn't chew it with no taste. Some times food is better but not today very disappointed

I have the very worst cheese enchiladas in my whole life. It was like canned cheese and canned chili over tortillas or something. I paid $17 for 2 in a lot of rice and beans and a drink. I got it to go and they didn't include any salsa or silverware/utensils in the bag. I've been to Mexico hundreds of times. Growing up on the border. And I'm not sure how anybody can call this..Mexican food. I actually have enjoyed frozen burritos more than this...

Every single time I go through the drive through they never put napkins or utensils, I complained to the manager on duty and she said we only put napkins in with tacos unless asked otherwise, she said the same for the utensils, shouldn't that be common courtesy and common sense to put napkins and such in there? I shouldn't have to ask for this, and on top asking for a tip? A tip for what ? Your crappie common sense ? The food has gone down hill aa well.

I had the beef quesadillas with guacamole and sour cream which were pretty good except for the hair I found in the sour cream. I asked for fresh guacamole and sour cream so I could finish the rest of my quesadilla. Then I found a piece of avocado skin in the guacamole. Waitress was horrified but apologetic. Manager knocked off $5 for a bad experience which ruined my dinner date with my wife and seriously FAILED to mitigate our horror and convince us to give them another try. Attentive and concerned management, hair nets for kitchen staff and a separated bar for noise reduction may have caused me to reconsider a return.
