Santorini Island Grill is known for its seasoned fries, especially the Triton fries. While some find the food bland or inconsistent, many appreciate the quick service and reasonable prices. Negative comments focus on rude staff and occasional dryness of the gyro meat.

Santorini is very based. As a carbs enjoyer, their fries have excellent seasoning, salty in the best way, and their rice is buttery and tasty. 🤌 Could not ask for anything better, best fries I've ever had around San Diego. So I like to get their gyro plate with fries and rice. Their pita and gyro are also great, but not as spectacular. I think Cafe V gyro tastes a lot better 💀 but the fries and rice make up for it They give a lot of food, like Blue Pepper, so the $10 plate is almost enough for both lunch and dinner, two meals in one, if you're willing to carry leftovers around.

I miss eating the Triton fries, I wish I could go back more. I haven't had grilled jalapenos on fries elsewhere, and the meat itself is always good. One thing about the Triton fries is that they are sneaky spicy, but I like that. But it's also right next to a water fountain if you need to cool your mouth. I can't believe there are low reviews, I've eaten here probably 15-30 times and I have always enjoyed it.
The seasoned fries are my favorite on campus, and fairly affordable as well! Don't love their other food (it's not bad,) but highly recommend the fries!
Portions and food is great. Service is fast and prompt. Can't ask for more for a school lunch place.
Great service and good food. Shoutout to Chris, he’s super friendly and always loads my plate up
I come here all the time to eat while I’m on campus. Christian gave me exceptional service.
I love this place. Best food on campus!
One of the many locations within Price Centre, the only wait you'll have here is standing in the line for 5 minutes with everyone else who wants to eat good greek food. They have a great menu variety of everything between gyros and pitas to falafels and greek salads. It's just like home, except these guys make your entire meal in front of you in only a couple moments. I personally recommend one of their value meals where you get a whole chicken/gyro pita, a fountain drink, and so many fries they can't even close the box properly. i swear these guys round up twice when deciding how many fries to give you, but i'm definitely not complaining. If you like salt like me, you'll love this place. The chicken is seasoned and salted, fries are thick-cut and salted, everything is perfectly salted. If you come here, don't be off-put by how they take your order. The staff have to process hundreds of orders and want to keep their kitchen efficient, so at least have your order ready by the time you get to the front of the line. Besides, if your problem with this place is that the cashier didn't make meaningless smalltalk with you for 5 minutes, your priorities are clearly skewed.

A nice amount of food for the price. Pretty tasty, but the gyros meat is sometimes a bit dry.
I got the chicken skewer + sausage combination which I loved

Great place, easily one of the best on campus. The goods: Taste quality is always consistant, and the staff are friendly and quick. While it can feel urgent, everyone is served fast and orders are completed properly. The bads: the portion sizes are inconsistent, and it can be obvious when they've kept meat in the warmer for too long. Recommended items are the Loaded Fries, though be careful with the jalapenos because they're genuiely spicy. Santorini Pita meal is also a treat, with a nice variety that doesn't leave you feeling bloated afterwards.
Gyro meal was pretty darn good, but in hindsight I should have gone with falafel. The meat was okay, but their falafel looked very good on my friends plate. Would definitely return to try.

Longstanding establishment at UCSD's food court. I really like the Zorba platter - it consists of Gyro meat, one chicken skewer, salad, and pita. It's a solid meal and fills you up right at around 10 bucks. Use their frequent buyer's card and lock in more discounts!
I am mexican, I got service by the cashier mexican lady with black hair she was really rude . This is the first time I see her working there. Other than that incident, I love the food and the people who work there (whenever that mexican lady is not there) They have an amazing lemon sauce !!! casi todos son mexicanos y atienden de lo mejor siempre bien educados, amigables, limpios y la comida super riquisima menos esa pinche vieja que me atendio hoy :)
The food is OK, but subpar when compared to Micheline's Pita House or The Kebab Shop. Expect gyro pitas to fall apart in your hand, so you need to eat them with a fork, which defeats the whole point of a pita wrap. However, the food is quite cheap: only $11 for a meal, compared to $15 average. So I suppose you get what you pay for.
Just get the big plate at Panda Express for the same price ~$13. Santorini food is bland.

Tried this for the first time today. If you want an absolutely absurd amount of tasteless meat for the regular price of a restaurant meal, then this is the place to go. I got a zorba plate, which for $13 provided me with enough food to easily feed two or three people. I ate the whole thing, though, because I have few friends and a hard time stopping myself from making terrible mistakes. Basically, the only flavor in any of the meat was salt. I feel like I just pickled myself with how much salt I ate. It didn't actively taste bad, but it didn't make a lot of effort to taste good either. All that being said, the amount of food you get here makes this worth the price, in the sense that a truckload of rocks is technically worth more than $13. Also, I liked the grilled vegetables. But everything else just leaves a lot to be desired.

Gave this place another chance and regretted it :( Falafel is hard as a rock, quinoa is flavorless, and hummus is bad. And expensive! Nothing else was open but I still regret coming here

Terrible food taste and customer service Everything is served skimping way and requests cost extra :(
staff here always have the worst attitude for no reason. bad customer service
Paid 11 dollars for a salad and then chipped my tooth on a glass I found in the pita. showed it to one of the workers and they proceeded to ignore me
Why do people come here? The chicken is super dry. The staff is insanely rude and dismissive. I've been here a few times and the rudeness is shared (and taught from the manager down). Some anecdotes: I try to order quarter chicken, and asked for the leg instead of the arm. Am told (quite angrily as though I were trying to steal something) that leg only comes with half chicken. Why? There are four quarters to a chicken, so if you sell a quarter chicken with wing, you now have a quarter chicken with leg. Make it make sense? Second time I visit, I order a gyro plate. When I get to the counter, I asked about the baklavas. Am just totally ignored and they ring me up. I repeat my question about wanting to order baklava. They then give me a dirty look and ask me why I didn't tell them earlier (I did) before sticking the baklava into a sleeve poorly, dripping and flaking everywhere. I don't really understand how this place can exist among the many other excellent and civil eateries literally right next door (all of which I've eaten at and have had zero issues whatsoever).
Do you wonder why the line at this place has visibly gotten non-existent this quarter? It’s not that the food has changed it’s still decent if you know what youre getting. It’s because everyone I’ve talked to complains about the same thing, the RUDE staff. They tell you to hurry up give dirty looks and DO NOT CARE. Hell, they won’t even give you water if you ask for it and are so stingy that they purposefully turned their fountain machine the other way! I guess they don’t know it’s ILLEGAL to not give water when someone asks for it but hey what do I do know. Personally I think they need new management and staff.
I watched the staff remove items from my plate during preparation, discard them, and then add some of what they threw out back into my food. When I asked why, they ignored me completely. This was disgusting and a serious food-safety concern.

LMAO. My dude prepared my food without gloves, and just chucked the falafels in my food with his bare hands. I was speechless. Eat at your discretion. Falafels are hard....
