Went here for a birthday dinner on a bit of a whim and wow were we impressed! The food, ambience, and service were all excellent. We had some stragglers for our reservation due to some unexpected traffic on the strip and we never felt rushed. Happy was our server and he made the entire experience special and catered to our needs. The hostesses were also top notch. The food was phenomenal, especially the seafood and sushi dishes. Some of the best sashimi I have ever had. We will definitely be back!
What a 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 + dining experience at Wakuda. Our group of 4 enjoyed the most amazing dinner. We had plenty of time to enjoy exquisite cocktails inlcuding sake. Everything here is insanely delicious with unique flavors. The team at Wakuda present each dish with such enthusiasm for each ingredient. We can't wait to come back for another visit the wonderful team at Wakuda! There are so many decadent dishes to choose from here. Enjoy your meal and the gorgeous views with amazing artwork.
I really enjoyed this place. Came for my besties 21st birthday and they gave her a free cocktail which was so sweet! Beautiful decor and delicious food. It’s not super filling and the portions are small so we ordered a lot haha.
I brought my wife here for her birthday last week for both of our first time. As locals it's a rare occasion for us to venture to the strip for a dinner night but this place came highly recommended and I now I really know why. The genuine hospitality is felt from the moment you walk in. The hosts greet you with smiles, eye contact and a welcoming tone. After checking us in they even offered to take a picture for us which I felt was a classy touch. That's never been offered to me before. We were seated in the bar/lounge area which had a beautiful vibe. Our table was a perfect setting for a date night. Our server and bartender, Visente was truly one of a kind. His enthusiasm and knowledge of the menu was encouraging. We took many of his recommendations for the food, and all of them for the drinks. He asked our preferences beforehand and then knocked it out of the park. Every drink delicious and unique esp the one with the wasabi powder on the rim. The food was incredible. And if you ask me why I'll tell you this, temperature and timing. Everything was prepared and presented to perfection. Not a single miss. Food runners presentation and explanation of dishes was also on point and appreciated. The tenderloin in my wife's words, "the best piece of meat she's ever had". No offense taken. The wagyu fried rice was my favorite. The crispy spicy tuna and the kanpachi carpaccio were delicious and memorable also. Dessert was fantastic. And an unexpected highlight was the orange creamsicle cocktail to really cap things off. This place was a 10/10. Please, local or visitor eat here if you are looking for a dinner experience that truly stands out. See you soon Wakuda.
I had one of the best sushi experiences of my life at Wakuda! I ate at the original Tetsuya’s in Sydney on my honeymoon 15 years ago, so it was so exciting to get to try Wakuda closer to home. This meal was everything I’d hoped for and more! Amazing vibes, absolutely delicious food, and impeccable service. My server Toshi was OUTSTANDING - his knowledge of sushi in general, and the menu specifically, made the experience even more enjoyable. He helped me pick out a custom multiple course journey that was full of amazing flavors and bites that made me go “hold on I need another one of those!”.I rarely go back to the same restaurants in vegas because there are so many fantastic places to try and I’m only here a few times a year, but I’ve already made a reservation for my next trip! (If you’re still reading this, order the Wakuda special Akami. It’s SO SO SO SO GOOD. Also the miso ice cream.)
Wrote this review with the help of ChatGPT. It was particularly fascinating how ChatGPT was able to pick up details like the nori shell of the tacos just from my pictures. Pretty cool. From the minute I walked in, Wakuda felt modern, elegant, and quietly luxurious, with dim lighting, soft music, and just the right amount of buzz from the bar and dining room. I started with a tropical cocktail garnished with fresh pineapple and a dark cherry. It was bright, refreshing, and perfectly balanced, not too sweet, and the presentation was gorgeous. The tuna and salmon tacos were a standout. The crispy nori shell with fresh tuna and salmon was delicious. Clean flavors, generous fish, and perfect texture. Each bite tasted like a miniature celebration. Wagyu served tableside on a hot stone, with a dramatic flame presentation. This is the one place that could have been better. The preparation of the Wagyu which was intended to lock the fat in actually made it less flavorful than when Kagoshima A5 is grilled with no prep. Dessert was my favorite part and a culinary journey on its own. A mound of fresh strawberries on shaved ice imported from Japan, topped with cream, with a cloud of cotton candy floating above it. It looked theatrical, but the flavors were light, fruity, and not overly sweet. Then the server came by and told me if I digged into the shaved ice, I would find jellies and caramel ice cream, which of course I did. Perfect finish.
We are Vegas locals and went there for wife's birthday after a spa day at Canyon Ranch in the Venetian (also excellent, and locals get a 26% discount on Mondays and Tuesdays). It is on the darker side but creates a nice ambiance. The waiter, named Happy, was excellent. Their take on an old fashioned was superb. The miso, beet salad, lobster roll, scallops, mochi, and miso ice cream were each a wonderful explosion of flavors. Definitely a great experience and will gladly return with friends or family to let them enjoy the place!
We were here celebrating my birthday and every single person that walked part to wished me happy birthday. The food was great, and the service was fabulous.
Sashimi was excellent, the quality of the fish we got was top notch. Had a great time here. Had a Suntory highball and a Nikka Coffey Grain old fashioned, both were perfect. Fun place and great atmosphere.
Wakuda was, without question, the best dining experience of my life. Every bite of food and every sip of our drinks was beyond delicious—creative, flavorful, and beautifully presented. What truly elevated the evening, though, was the exceptional service. Our server, Alex, made us feel like we were the most important table in the restaurant. Attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely kind, Alex guided us and surprised us by selecting all our dishes for the table. It truly made the night unforgettable. I can't recommend Wakuda highly enough. I usually have a rule that I don't eat at the same place twice, but I will absolutely be back.
I've had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant a couple of times, and each experience has been nothing short of exceptional. While it's on the pricier side, the quality of the food, service, and overall ambiance more than justifies the cost. The staff have always been welcoming and attentive, which adds to the pleasant dining experience. As for the food, it's decent—solid and satisfying, though not quite as memorable as some other places I've tried. That said, it's consistent, and there are definitely a few dishes worth coming back for.
Aside from the ambiance and excellent service, this was the best sushi and seafood I’ve ever had. Our server asked us what we liked and didn’t like and created a tasting sample menu for us. The tuna melted in my mouth and everything was quality. Not one thing we had was bad. Wakuda is a hidden gem in the Palazzo and most importantly, the unique look of the resturant matches the quality and uniqueness of the food. The price is steep but you get what you pay for. I will be dining here more frequently when I return.
Really pleasant meal of both sushi and some warm dishes. Attentive staff that wasn't too invasive. Really didn't have an "off" dish. Everything was tasty and after some explanation accessible.
I visited Wakuda at an event that was hosted there. The atmosphere here is so cool. The neon lights and Japanese artwork is awesome. The staff here is very professional and friendly. The food here tastes very good. If you are in Las Vegas you really need to stop by and check this place out.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Amazing experience at Wakuda! The food was fresh and full of flavor, service was friendly and fast, and the atmosphere was absolutely stunning. Thank you for the beautiful birthday dessert and making my night so special. Highly recommend this place for sushi lovers and anyone who enjoys great vibes! 🍣🎂✨
A Must-Visit Culinary Gem in Las Vegas – Wakuda at The Palazzo I had the absolute pleasure of dining at Wakuda during my recent visit to Las Vegas, and I can confidently say it was one of the most memorable meals I’ve had in the city. I was fortunate enough to be in town during restaurant week and opted for the chef’s tasting menu—a curated selection of some of the restaurant’s most celebrated dishes. It did not disappoint. From start to finish, every course was a masterpiece. The presentation was visually stunning, each dish looking like it belonged in an art gallery. But the true magic was in the flavor profiles—complex, balanced, and utterly delicious. The quality of the fish was impeccable, fresh and delicate, and elevated by thoughtful, innovative pairings. The highlight? A show-stopping purple sweet potato soft serve ice cream that was unlike anything I’ve ever tasted. Creamy, subtly sweet, and beautifully presented—it was the perfect finale to an extraordinary meal. What also sets Wakuda apart is its service. The staff was attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely warm. A special mention to the manager, who personally came by our table to welcome us and express his appreciation for our support during restaurant week. That level of hospitality goes a long way. Wakuda has officially earned a permanent spot on my must-visit list. I travel to Las Vegas annually, and this restaurant is now a non-negotiable part of the itinerary. Highly recommended for anyone seeking an elevated, unforgettable dining experience on the Strip.
The food was amazing and the service even better. Before they walked us to our table the offered to take a photo of us in front of the lights. They contantly refilled our water and brought clean plates.
Where is the 6-star button? This was the best experience we had in our four nights in Las Vegas. By far. When we arrived, we were greeted with warm smiles and a “happy anniversary”, something none of the other restos mentioned despite us putting that detail in ALL our resos. They accommodated our request for a different table, and gave us an even better one when a guest had just left. The food was incredible. Every bite we had was truly 10/10. The drinks were unbelievable. Our first cocktail was off the menu (server’s recommendation) and after that, she took our “brief” and she and the bartender took the time to learn our preferences so he could create drinks just for us. Without exception each drink was sooooo good. Shout out to Alex, our server. She was so friendly and helpful and knowledgeable and her recommendations were all totally on point. We will ask for her by name next time we return - and we WILL return. And shout out to Chris, the bartender who spent time to ask questions to craft cocktails just for us. Overall, the experience was incredible. The food, drinks and service were all unbeatable. We highly recommend and we will of course be back.
I would say one of the top sushi restaurants. The staff was wonderful and the fish was the freshest fish I ever taste. Thank you for sharing your restaurant with us.
So fresh and so good, probably the most authentic and unique Japanese restaurant I have ever visited on the Las Vegas Strip. Staff is thoughtful and authentic, it really brings the experience to the next level. Everything I tried was amazing, but what really took it to the next level was the Japanese Cheesecake, when I cracked that raspberry sphere I was ecstatic! So satisfying 🔨
Wakuda was absolutely incredible. We were greeted promptly for our reservation and even though we were early they sat us very quickly. Our server, Juan was fantastic. He recommended great drinks, knew everything about the menu and made our dinner even better. The TLM cocktail and Strawberry French were both wonderful! We started with the Tuna toast, King Salmon truffle and Kanpachi Carpaccio. Each bite was more delicious than the last and every plate was put together beautifully. We then had the Tobanyaki scallops, the mushrooms and asparagus on this dish were phenomenal! Then, we had the Akami and Aburi Salmon from the sushi menu, last, we had the lobster roll and ended the night with the coffee bean dessert. This meal was fantastic and we’d highly recommend going to Wakuda if you like sushi, great service and great environment.
What a pleasant surprise—an absolute gem. If you’re in Vegas, go. It’s the perfect pre-Sphere spot (you can even walk there from the restaurant). • Ambiance: Snap a pic on the way in—the decor is sexy, modern, and effortlessly cool. Totally sets the tone. • Food: Off-the-charts good. The crispy rice dish is a must. • Drinks: Every cocktail was on point. There’s one with honey and ginger—like a luxe take on a bourbon sour—that was especially memorable. • Service: Flawless. Friendly, polished, and fast. • Vibe: Trendy, buzzing, and full of beautiful people. This is Vegas, baby.
Fantastic dining experience. We didn’t do the omakase but we did have our server curate a 7-8 course meal for us.
April 2025 This was what we had chosen for our last meal in Las Vegas before flying back to DC the next morning. We're mad we didn't discover this place until then. Wakuda gives epic neon-Tokyo vibes, with an elegant, almost exclusive atmosphere. The decor was magnificent. But the food was on a heavenly level. We started our meal with Marinated Japanese Cucumber and Avocado Carpaccio. Our main course was an Easter Special that they had an extravagant variety of chef-selected sashimi. This chef had me rethink uni (I stopped eating uni because every restaurant made it taste like a slippery foot). Everything was so deliciously mouth-watering. The desserts were too pretty to eat, but so scrumptious. I cannot wait to go back! PROS: Food Service Decor Chill Music, almost to the point of being Japanese LoFi Vegas Strip Location (Venetian) CONS: Price (Cheap O. McBargain-Meister beware) Vegas Strip Location (I need this closer to me in DC) OVERALL: Remarkable and memorable food and service make this a conversational piece for each time we recommend this to someone traveling to Vegas. Wakuda excels in dining experiences. This really should be located somewhere near the main areas, like near SugarCane or Milos, in the area of entering/leaving The Sphere.
So cool going back tonight! WAKUDA Vegas lounge area is refined and relaxing and beautiful! The drinks are eclectic and I really enjoyed The Matcha Made in Heaven (have to be a tad healthy while drinking😄) Roku Gin, Genepy, Yuzu, Lemon, Coconut Cream, Matcha Powder ❤️🔥❤️🔥! Heather Wadowski Turk had the Wakuda Tiki which she said was refreshing and tasty!! We then had some appetizers 😋 AND then Ednaname in the spicy sesame dressing...AMAZING!! That sauce!! Wanted to ask for some to bring home 🍵! The marinated Japanese Cucumbers were on point and refreshing. I then had the Grilled Octopus 30, delicate blend of enticing flavors!! Would order again!! Dessert here is ABSOLUTELY wonderful!! I had the Japanese cheesecake which was light and airy and bursting with the flavors of Yuzu Compote and Genmai Cha Ice Cream...it's a super fun dessert, you crack open the spun sugar ball to get the dessert sauce...🍴😋😋. So full, I didn't taste the dessert that Heather had, The Coffee Bean, but the presentation and flavors were entirely decadent, 👌 ! We then each had a tasting of the Wakuda's House Special, Miso Ice Cream, which sounds wrong, but is so RIGHT! Think...caramel! Another winner!! The lounge is lit perfectly, the seating is comfortable and they have a DJ spinning in the lounge after 9pm or 10pm. They also have a full dining room, a special occasion room, AND a private celebration space with your own bartender who will create a BESPOKE cocktail for you! GOALS -to have an event in "that" room. The entire restaurant is at The Palazzo Las Vegas where Morels was formerly. As always 🥰 💖Thank you Heather!! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 for food, ambience and WONDERFUL staff! P.S Try the Dreamsicle!! #vegaseats #greatvibes #JapaneseCuisine
What can I possibly say about Wakuda other than it blew my socks off every single second and most importantly every single course. Never have I had better food or service. Quite literally every single dish is/was exceptional and delectable. Atypical even and all A++
First time at Wakuda and chose to sit at the bar. Natalie and Chris were super attentive and help us make drink and food choices. We got 2 starters King Salmon Truffle and Beignet Sea Bass Bites. Both just melt in your mouth with flavor. We split the entree Beef Yakiudon, which was also fantastic. Drinks we tried included; Neon Nights Negroni, Carajillo, and Zen Garden Margarita. All were amazingly crafted. They even displayed all the ingredients as they made it which I thought was a nice touch. Definitely a place I’d recommend and return to.
Golden Gai Cocktail Club is an absolute vibe from the moment you step inside. The atmosphere instantly transports you to a neon-lit Japanese cityscape, giving strong Akihabara energy with glowing signage, moody lighting, and a sleek, immersive design that feels both futuristic and intimate. It’s the kind of place where every corner feels intentional and visually striking. The drinks are top-tier and thoughtfully crafted. Each cocktail is balanced, creative, and beautifully presented—perfect whether you’re sipping slowly or gearing up for a night out. You can tell the bartenders take pride in their craft, and the menu offers something for every palate, from bold and boozy to smooth and refreshing. What really sets Golden Gai apart is the music. The DJs keep the energy high with uptempo soundtracks that make it impossible not to groove. The sound selection perfectly complements the atmosphere, creating a seamless blend of lounge and nightlife vibes without ever feeling overwhelming. Whether you’re looking for a stylish spot to start the night, impress out-of-town friends, or just enjoy great cocktails with an electric ambiance, Golden Gai Cocktail Club delivers on all fronts. Definitely a must-visit for anyone who appreciates great drinks, immersive design, and music that moves you.
I had a fantastic dinner at Wakuda in Las Vegas—it’s hands down one of the best Japanese restaurants I’ve tried. We started off with delicious cocktails. The lobster sushi roll was incredible—tender, perfectly balanced, and full of flavor. The crispy rice with spicy tuna brought a satisfying crunch and a nice kick. My favorite, though, was the miso-marinated seabass. It’s a rich, comforting family recipe with a heartfelt story behind it—and you can taste the care in every bite. The vibe at Wakuda is stylish yet cozy, and the staff were attentive and friendly. I left feeling genuinely impressed and can’t wait to go back!
What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas.. EXCEPT when it comes to amazing food, lol Wakuda in Vegas by the World-renown Chef Tetsuya Wakuda and 50 Eggs Hospitality Group's establishment surely impresses. The dining room was booked so we ate at a high top in the Lounge and I must say the artwork was exquisite. We ordered multiple items including Trio of Oysters (plus one), Marinated Japanese Cucumber, Crispy Rice (w/ spicy tuna), Kanpachi Carpaccio, Tempura IKA (squid), Beef Tenderloin (w/ ginger miso), Fried Nori Chips (w/ scallop). The culinary presentation and quality of the dishes were on point. The Lounge atmosphere was upbeat yet cozy, and our server Chris was knowledgeable and personable. If you're willing to spend good money on great food, this is the place to be!
We came here as part of our Vegas anniversary trip and it was our favourite meal of the weekend. The food was absolutely amazing and we tried savouring every bite (the portions are definitely fine-dining size). You can definitely taste so many flavours and it was so delicious!! It's not hard to see why Chef Tetsuya has multiple Michelin star restaurants under his belt. Our server, Travis, was so great! Although he was busy, he took the time to explain each dish to us and recommended how they should be ate and appreciated. We really enjoyed the meal even more because of his knowledge. Overall, you can definitely expect to spend $$$ here... We came here before a show and didn't need to eat too much as we had plans to eat after the show too. If you're looking for distinct flavours with each bite, you've come to the right spot! Our favorite was the king salmon aburi - literally melts in your mouth.
We walked in here last minute for a meal before our Beatles Love show. We did not expect anything with no prior knowledge of the kitchen. Boy, did they surprise and deliver one of our most memorable meals in Vegas. While we were sitting there, the artist that created all the pieces happened to sit next to us. Also, it is an amazing pleasant surprise as the artwork is sensationally detailed. Pics of the experience speak for themselves. Bar service was amazing.
Grabbed a reservation on pretty short notice. Super cool vibe as you walk in. Had an Espresso Martini to start, it was good but felt a little bit on the smaller side for a cocktail. The food and service were excellent. The sushi was very fresh and you could really taste the quality in each bite. Highly recommend if you are looking for some great sushi at The Venetian. 🍣🍱
Vincent is a 5 star waiter! This is the best restaurant I have ever been to, in the world. I know it tastes amazing, yet it somehow always exceeds my expectations every time I take a bite. I am genuinely astonished at how fresh and delicious their food is, despite being in Nevada! It easily conquers any sushi place I’ve ever been to on the coast of any ocean. Wakuda. Does. Not. Miss!
Could not recommend enough! 10/10 on every part! The food, the service, the vibe..everything was incredible! Our waitress curated an omakase meal for us that was to die for. Don’t miss the wagyu and amberjack!! I also told her what kind of cocktails I liked and she had a special one made for me that was amazing! The vibe is loud and fun but if you preferred a little quieter, they also have a lounge you can eat it that’s a bit more intimate. It is pricey but worth every single penny- you no doubt get what you paid for! Highly highly recommend.
The food combinations were out of this world. The atmosphere feels retro Japanese style and with a modern twist. Issue with the menu, I was led to believe there was panna cotta but the desert is actually called The Coffee Bean (one of the photos). It was still good, but it was a chocolate mousee.
What a great experience. The ambiance, the service, the food. All exemplary. Happy was our server and he was attentive, above and beyond. Can't wait to go back!
Wow, unexpected superb experience. This is a combination robotayaki, izakaya and sushi restaurant. The dishes are surprisingly good and the staff is super friendly and helpful. They even were able to help us through a complete set of gluten-free options on a menu that's mostly Japanese which is many times very hard to do. We had a couple skewers of beef, chicken and enaki mushrooms and a couple servings of their Santa Barbara uni. All were fantastic. For dessert we had their green tea mochi and two cocktails which were also fantastic. You can judge the quality of a Japanese restaurant like this by two things, the quality of the rice and the selection of sake on the menu. The rice is perfectly cooked, every grain is whole and not overcooked and just the right amount of stickiness, and the sale list is superbly curated. The house sale had just a hint of fruit and mineral and paired really well with everything. If I had to give them any feedback here it would be to add a dessert wine to their menu. Something like a Tokai would go really well with the mochi. They were also out of the whole fish robatayaki offering which really shouldn't happen, just pick the best whole fish you can get for the day! Otherwise, I really commend them for their focus on having gluten-free dishes available. They had many gluten-free sauces as well. All around this was a fantastic experience and I highly recommend it.
Some of the highest quality sushi I’ve ever had. Special thanks to our server Alex: we were having trouble deciding what to order and she put together a special tasting experience for us on the fly, including some amazing off menu dishes.
This restaurant did not disappoint if you like an asian flare. Service was fantastic, especially the Wine Sommelier! The tuna roll was one of the best ever. We had a group of 6 and everyone was happy with their selections.
Wakuda is hands down my favorite restaurant in Las Vegas. I bring friends, work colleagues, and clients here often, because I know the experience will be exceptional every single time. A huge part of what makes Wakuda so special is Kimmy, the manager. Her presence sets the tone the moment you walk in. She is incredibly warm, genuinely welcoming, and truly cares about the people she serves. She has an amazing way of making guests feel remembered and valued, not rushed or transactional. Every visit feels intentional and personal because of her. The team she leads reflects that same level of excellence. The servers are attentive, friendly, and professional, and everything runs smoothly and effortlessly. It is clear that the culture of great service starts with strong leadership and carries through the entire staff. Wakuda has also become a favorite for my family. My daughter absolutely loves coming here, especially for their cloud dessert, which she looks forward to every single visit. Seeing a place deliver an experience that works just as well for business dinners as it does for family moments says a lot. Between the incredible service, the welcoming atmosphere, and the consistency, Wakuda feels like more than a restaurant. It is a place you can trust to deliver a memorable experience every time you walk through the door. Highly recommend.
Arrival & Hospitality Warm Welcome: The hospitality here was outstanding. We walked over from the Wynn after a show and arrived at 8:30 PM for our 9:00 PM reservation. Seating: Instead of making us wait or turning us away—which happens often at other places—the staff checked their tables and seated us immediately. It was a great start to the night. The Menu Cocktails: We started with a Lychee Martini and the Passionista. Both were excellent—flavorful, well-balanced, and definitely not the watered-down drinks you often get in Vegas. Starters: The Corn Shrimp Tempura was the star of the show; the sweetness of the corn elevated the dish completely. Entrées: We also ordered the Short Ribs and Wagyu Fried Rice. The portion sizes exceeded my expectations and were perfectly filling. Between the top-notch staff and the great vibe, I will definitely return on my next trip. Highly recommend.
The omakase experience at WAKUDA inside The Venetian Resort was outstanding in every way—both in cuisine and in service. From the moment we were seated, the level of care and attentiveness was immediately apparent. The chefs were engaging and intentional, taking time to explain each course without ever making the experience feel scripted or rushed. You could tell there was pride behind every piece served, and the pacing was flawless—allowing each bite to be appreciated while maintaining a smooth, relaxed flow throughout the evening. The sommelier was exceptional—knowledgeable, approachable, and incredibly thoughtful in pairing selections to complement each course. Rather than offering generic recommendations, the pairings felt personalized and well-considered, elevating both the food and the overall experience. Having a dedicated personal bartender was another standout element. Drinks were crafted with precision and creativity, and preferences were remembered and accommodated effortlessly. The attention to detail here made the experience feel elevated yet comfortable, never pretentious. The rest of the staff was equally impressive—attentive without hovering, professional yet warm, and clearly aligned as a team. Every interaction felt genuine, polished, and intentional, creating an atmosphere that was both refined and welcoming. This was not just an exceptional meal, but a truly curated dining experience. If you are looking for omakase that delivers world-class food paired with impeccable service, WAKUDA sets the standard. We would absolutely return.
Great ambience music and decor, but food was disappointing. We were expecting a close to nobu experience with the prices, but the otoro didn’t taste fresh chip it came with was too greasy, Fried food oil tasted old, we tried 3 types of carpaccio and all of them flavor was not balanced, ramen was fairly price but not yummy. Service was quite well to end the experience on a good note. Would not come back for the food, but definitely fun for one time.
This place never lets me down! A must visit everytime we stay at the Palazzo. Our server was amazing, the music and vibes are good without being too clubby. The sushi is fresh!
I actually really liked this restaurant. I love the vibe and the decor. It was very lively and trendy and fun. The service was excellent. Even though I ordered a Clasa Azul martini, they brought me a casamigo martini. And when I told him that wasn’t correct, but I would just accept it, He came back with a Clasa Azul martini on the house. That made up for the mistake. The food was good, but it wasn’t overwhelming. But Definitely a fun place for high-end Japanese food.
Great atmosphere, and the reception desk and wait staff were very nice and accommodating. However, the food overall was just okay, with most dishes being too salty. The wagyu sushi was good, though. Not sure if I would go back next time.
The food was amazing and absolutely delicious. The quality and flavors were wonderful. Unfortunately, the service really missed the mark. Our waitress hardly checked in on us throughout the meal. We ordered additional food and drinks, and they didn’t arrive until about 30 minutes later. By the time they came out, we weren’t even hungry anymore. I completely understand that the restaurant gets busy, but there was no communication, no check-in, and no update at any point, which made the experience frustrating. Incredible food, but the service needs significant improvement to match the level of the cuisine and the price, especially when it’s a $400-$500 meal.
I used to be a regular here and genuinely loved this place—it had charm, great food, and a sense of quality that made it special. Unfortunately, that seems to be gone. I recently came back for a business meeting and was shocked by how far things have fallen. The ambiance felt tired and dead, and worse, the food made me sick. Whether it was poor handling or bad fish, I was unwell for the rest of the day.The server recommended some sushi special that they had and it was mid at best. It’s incredibly disappointing to see a former favorite decline like this. I won’t be returning, and I’d advise others to think twice—especially if you’re expecting the standard this place used to uphold.
I’m a local and l suggested my friend to have her birthday here. I had a distressing experience I had at your venue during a friend's Michelle birthday celebration in a private dining room on 10/2/2025 at 7:30 PM. The director approached me in a condescending manner outside the entrance, stating that my dog was not permitted because such accommodations are "for disabled people only." When I informed him that I have a disability, he responded dismissively, questioning my condition with the remark, "YOU have a disability?" This interaction was not only unprofessional but also deeply humiliating, especially in the presence of other guests that I'm not close to. Under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), businesses are not permitted to inquire about the nature of a disability. My disability is a private matter, and I am not obligated to disclose details to justify my needs. The director's approach was inappropriate and made me feel invalidated and unwelcome. The emotional impact of this encounter was significant, leaving me deeply upset. (Posted my disability in photos below as proof) Kimmy, the manager apologized for the directors behavior. I strongly recommend that your staff follow her lead and the director learn from her, and undergo disability sensitivity and ADA compliance training to prevent similar incidents in the future. I hope you will address this matter promptly to ensure a more inclusive and respectful environment for all guests. My friends were shocked at the directors behavior and also shocked that Yelp hid my review. Why are they trying to remove honest reviews instead of apologizing for the directors awful behavior. There were so many people there that saw how he was unnecessarily talking to me. All Wakuda needs to do is apologize and I will consider removing my review. It’s always good to do the right thing! Clearly below shows my disability and the pain I am going through. Regarding the food it’s average but fast because it’s always empty with no wait, I came here two times this week before only for the convenience. It’s Americanized sushi and most likely different from the Michelin that they chef had won. If you want real sushi, Kame sushi in the best. Thank you for your attention to this concern.
