Came here for a friend's 21st birthday and our server, Emma, was an absolute delight. Super upbeat and friendly, she always checked in on us and made sure we were doing okay, even told us a small story which we enjoyed listening to. Food was delicious, no delay in the items coming out and everything was just as ordered! Couldn't have asked for a better server for tonight.

I had a great experience today at this location. I think the bartender's name was Kristen. She was very attentive and super sweet. All of our food came out great and timely. This was a perfect quick date night experience. 10/10 would 100% recommend visiting Kristen.
Just ate here tonight and had a great experience. At one point my daughter randomly got sick during dinner. One of the amazing staff amazingly offered my daughter her extra pair of leggings that she had since my daughter got hers a mess. Absolutely blown away at her generosity.

Ellie has served me a several times. She has is extreme personable, has excellent communication and people skills. Ellie represents Applebees extremely well and Applebees is lucky to have her as an employee. If I had a job opening, I would be recruiting Ellie to work for me.
Dayvon is a great waiter, he provides 5 start service, everything comes out when it should. Appetizers are timed well and we never feel rushed when he’s our waiter.
Ate lunch here twice during a round trip ski trip while our EV charged nearby at EVgo near Target. Great stop to relax and get a meal.

Kristen Wilson is the literal greatest of all time (🐐) when it comes to making Applebees a true neighborhood grill. She is the reason I keep coming back, and why I plan to patronize indefinitely! If I could give 10 stars for service, I would. Kristen knows the regulars drinks and makes everyone feel comfortable. She is a super friendly face and person after a long day at work. She is always working hard to accommodate everyone’s needs. She knows the menu in and out and always goes above and beyond to make sure everyone is happy with their meals. She is constantly making sure glasses are filled and stomachs are happy. I wish there were more servers/ bartenders like her. She is the reason I come to this Applebees over the one closer to home.

Only place open at the time. (10:00) Hostess was rude and uninterested to seat us at best. Our server was very attentive. I do not recommend the side salad for get this $6.99. It consists of some wilted lettuce some croutons and for some reason a large pile of shredded mozzarella cheese. Had an horrible experience with the Applebee's in Schenectady (Watt st, cross town location). Was hoping this one would be better. It was but not by alot. I mustbadvise to stay far far away from Schenectady location, unless you like dinning with large rodents scarring around and the stickies tables ever.
Great strawberry margarita! They had a good special called "2 for $22". You select one of four appetizers to share with one person and select two of the 12 entrees, all for $22. We chose the tortillas with spinach dip for our appetizer to share (it was just ok) they should have given more dip for the amount of tortilla chips on the plate. I had their "Classic Cheeseburger & fries and it was delicious. The 2nd in my 2 for 22 party ordered the “Bourbon Street Chicken & Shrimp”. We both had a problem with the food being very salty. Not my cheeseburger, but OMG the fries...someone went crazy with the salt. If it wasn't for the over-salting, I'd have given 5-stars. The staff were very nice and friendly, everything was clean and it wasn't overly crowded or noisy, then again, it was a Monday afternoon.
I went here on a date night with my wife. I personally loved my cheeseburger, the fries were alittle salty. The chicken tenders were amazing. My wife got a mushroom burger (she got sick, didn't enjoy the food), but overall I had a great time.. it was very affordable, the waitress was great and attentive given how crowded it was. I would recommend this restaurant, though only once in awhile.

Was out and about in Latham when I decided to head home I was hungry and thought where could I call ahead on my way home to order food and upon arrival it will actually be ready. When I pulled up the app and plugged in my order it stated my order if grilled shrimp Alfredo would be ready in about 12 minutes was great. When I arrived the young lady was bringing out an order for another customer in the vehicle next to where I pulled in. She she was done and before I could call the number she turned, said hello and asked what's the name on the order. In gave her my name and she stated I will be right out with your order and she in-fact was back out with my order. Great service! 👍Would order pick from this location again 😁

I have dined here twice this month and my initial experience was satisfactory. I ordered the endless chicken tender with fries and wings for $15.99 and a classic combo with Artichoke dip and mozzarella sticks, which was adequate. However, during my return visit for dinner, the waitress was not particularly friendly and informed me that the endless chicken tender for $15.99 was not allowed to be shared. Notably, this sharing restriction was not mentioned during my first visit, and there was no written policy indicating this restriction. Consequently, I was not satisfied with my experience.
They are severely understaffed having two waitresses on a Friday night shift is crazy. The wait time was just ridiculous but then again if they had more personal they wouldn't have that issue

Food was mediocre at best ...The wrap tasteless with wilted lettuce and tasted bitter, my grandson's cheeseburger was dried out and looked like it was pre cooked and microwaved, and the French fries tasted like fish and the greens in the Oriental salad were sour and wilted .... Timing and Staffing are key...if you don't mind having to wait and mediocre food then you'll be a-ok .

I recently got take out from this location. Got the boneless wings and the broccoli fettuccine Alfredo, wings were fine. The pasta however was not good at all. The pasta itself was so overcooked and hard. There was also barely any sauce in there and the chicken was burnt. So the whole plate was just a disaster. This is usually my go-to order from Applebees but now I know to not get it from here again. Shame.
Overall, it was good. It took a few tries to get my drink right, and my steak was Med Rare but had asked for Med Well. When I got it back, it felt as if it was microwaved, which made the steak chewy and tough. I decided not to eat most of it. The waitress didn't notice but was attentive otherwise. The Caesar salad was great, and the spinach dip and chicken fingers were also awesome. Must say, though, we had asked for crispy fries, and the fries were luke warm and soft, definitely a bit old to the taste, so we didn't eat those either.
I feel indifferent about this restaurant. I don't feel like our experience was overall good or overall bad. It was however okay. We had a longer than expected wait to get seated but ignored that due to the holiday. Our server was good over all. They made a few careless mistakes. Such mistakes include not hearing our orders correctly (we asked for no coleslaw on the appetizer,, I asked for broccoli not fries) or being preoccupied elsewhere. Perhaps because staffing shortages caused them to be over stretched. The food was cooked well. We were thankful. Staff was friendly. My main concern was on the cleanliness of the restaurant. I can deal with wait times and food mistakes. However, please tidy up.

Honestly, food is kinda shit. Got the 2 for 25. Garlic parm boneless wings, chicken parm fettuccine and a 8oz steak with mashed potatoes and broccoli. Was very disappointed with the food. Wings were identical to those frozen bags of boneless wings you'd get at Aldis. Steak was unseasoned, overcooked, and watery. Pasta was completely unseasoned and bland and the chicken looked, again, like it came from a bag of pre-breaded frozen chicken patties from the store. Overall, food was very disappointing and we just paid for our drinks and left. Only took a bite or two before we paid and left.
There was a staff shortage. Set at table no silverware or napkins. Hostess seated us but didn't even notice. When waitress showed up she took drink order and immediately wanted to know our meal order. I asked hostess for silverware and napkins that never arrived. I went to the wait staff area and took napkins. When I mentioned it the waitress got snippy. While eating the location lost a lot of business due to wait time with empty tables.
Servers are wonderful at their job but the management is pathetic, watching these poor workers get borderline abused on the clock is beyond unacceptable at this point. Specifically the female manager, her name was Bethany or Beth or Bev? You can see the energy of the store change with her around and frankly, as a customer she made me feel uncomfortable as well. No to mention the way she speaks to the employees is condescending and I could easily hear it from my table by the back portion of the bar area. Applebees, do better.
I used to love Applebees, I went here on a lunch date and ordered the four cheese macaroni and cheese with the honey chipotle chicken crispers. It was tasteless, the three chicken crispers on top looked more like three burnt fingers than edible chicken and they weren’t even wet from any honey chipotle sauce, the cheese sauce was flavorless as well. Since I was on a date I didn’t complain- but wow has their standard of food gone way down hill while their prices still climb. You can’t simply suck and raise your prices, that’s how you’ll end up going out of business and losing 20+ year customers.

I ordered the other night for pick up drove almost 45 mins to get there come all the way back to find something in my food hall way to down mask potatoes found what looks like bug or poop I have no clue I immediately freaked out! The service has been unacceptable and i felt like me and my family were not treated equally as everyone else! The coleslaw was spoiled the chips were stale and old!!! And the food quality overall was not the best! But overall what bother me is that Jennifer the waiter was not nice, or polite she didn’t even introduce herself she had a face and her attitude was not the best! Another waiter brought our food and her attitude was horrible also when bringing my husband chicken like I don’t understand as to why! **One Star Review:** I had a terrible experience at Applebee's with my partner last Thursday during lunch. We walked in to find the place nearly empty and decided to sit at the bar. Surprisingly, we were never greeted. The bartender looked utterly miserable and seemed more focused on cashing out the waitstaff than taking care of us. It took her almost 10-15 minutes to even acknowledge our presence and ask for our drink orders. Once we finally got our drinks, she disappeared and never returned to check on us or see if we wanted food. Her attitude was unpleasant and made the whole experience feel even worse. We couldn’t even enjoy the one drink we did get, so we chose to leave and dine at another restaurant. With how quiet the place was, there’s no excuse for such poor service. I definitely won't be returning.

This Applebees is the WORST location in NY state absolutely horrible I came in for dinner Friday the 5th what a waste of time and money the atmosphere is disgusting and horrible the staff are ALL DISRESPECTFUL and DIRTY looking the food we waited 45 minutes for and it was all COLD fried food the manager did absolutely nothing everyone who worked on the 5th should be ashamed that location needs a whole new staff or it won’t be open much longer if I could give negative stars I would I can’t stress enough how horrible unprofessional the severs/staff are my sever was the worst she was young and incredibly rude and lazy will never be coming back here this place It used to be good maybe 2 months ago i honestly hope this location gets turned into a chilis

None of the staff could find our waitress. She was outside . I also find it very unsanitary to bring a huge garbage bin into the dining room near the tables where people are eating
We were a group of 6 who went to eat at one of the restaurants in Albany for my husband's birthday celebration on the evening of March 22nd. From the moment we walked in, the guy who greets customers wasn't very happy with his job. His uniform somewhat dirty and he was even more disreputable. When he showed us to our table, he said the waiter would come to serve us. A long 10 minutes passed, and no one came. We decided to wait patiently for a few more minutes to see, and a waitress came and told us she would be back in a minute. She left with a smile on her face. I think because we spoke Spanish, she gave us the impression that she wouldn't serve us. We felt somewhat discriminated against, so we got up and went to another restaurant, not part of your chain, and there they treated us very well from the moment we arrived and left. How sad that you, as a well-known chain, hire people like those who were working there that day. That is way that you guys are closing restaurants because not making money and have a very bad customer service
So i was offred a gift card to make things right. So I was like OK cool then after I replied a 3rd time because i once again wasn't getting a reply I now all a sudden I keep getting a response saying the address couldn't be found. When me, my wife and our 2 children went the Only problems I had was my chicken and rice was cold. Then the waiter asked and offered me a order of rice because mine was cold ( never offered to even warm up the chicken) and then Mckenzie i belive her name was. Still charged me for the rice that I was offered to replace the cold rice I was given. Idc about the price its the whole point you dont offer someone something to replace there mess up and then charge them extra for there screw up. And my daughter burger was rare when it was supposed to be well done. She wouldn't even eat it and they did nothing to offer to fix it. $26 wasted. The price is not what bothered me its how it was and wasn't handled and was just wrong. I was told the restaurant will call me and follow up with in a week and no one never reached out. Tired of being lied to
It's sad how much this place has crashed and burned. First off, their new menu is very confusing and awful. Most of it is now salads and burgers, and you have to order a "2 for 26/29" mean to even get a steak or grilled chicken?? Second, the atmosphere is just miserable. Not enough lighting, and the insane amount of TVs makes it very overstimulating. Ironically, we got an advertisement for Burger King, and I would much rather eat there. Finally, the food itself isn't that good. I went here back in February for my birthday, and my steak was composed of 65% fat and 35% meat, and a weird sticky film covered the entire the entire steak. Ruined my entire day. The free desert was nice, though. My visit today was no better; the new menu was a pain to navigate, and the food itself was mediocre. However, their Mountain Dew flavor is fantastic. I would go here again only for this drink. Overall, save your money. This place sucks now.
I love apple bees one of my favorite places to go with my kids but today, I will never go to this location again, upon entering with my family at 9:08 we were looked at , not acknowledged for a few mins then proceeds one of the waitress I’m assuming and says “the kitchen is closing in a few mins and Im not going to do that to them” I’m amusing she meant the people who work in the back, not once did she even acknowledge our feelings it was just instantly turn away, were closed. Mind you I see a few people still eating. I will never go eat at a place that does not care about customers. That’s all I hope you guys treat people better next time!
Absolutely diabolical staff at 10pm on a Friday. Get brought to a dirty table and then not one server came to us at all. We waited 25 mins. Didnt even get a drink or a server. Just left there. If you don’t want food I guess come here
I came to Applebee’s this Friday night and sat at the bar with my wife we waited 15 minutes for the bartender to come out from the kitchen (empty handed), who then proceeded to fiddle with the computer right in front of us for about 5 more minutes without even giving us a glance, after my wife had politely said “excuse me sir” to this man whom I did not receive the name of (until pursuing later from host) he immediately and in a very irritated manner says “you want menu’s” with his eyebrows raised as if us being there was a grievance to him. He then proceeded to very rudely take our order as well as made our watered down drinks, the food was absolutely disgusting he seemed to care very little and was quick to blame the kitchen without offering anything else he ordered me a redo on the over cooked steak (that I asked for medium rare) which came out RAW I then asked for it to be taken off the bill, I was given nothing but attitude my wife as well. I was being treated as if I didn’t place my order correctly, when I received my bill I still had to pay for the re ordered steak even tho that too was horrible! I asked to speak with a manager and was told with haste that “my manager is on the line and can’t come off right now” whatever that means, no they’ll be out as soon as possible nothing I knew there was zero point in waiting around.There where also a few other people at the bar who seemed to be very well taken care of, assuming from the constant back and forth conversations and speedy service they were regulars, that being said treat all of your customers with the same respect!!! 100% horrible service we where not the only ones who felt this way at the bar (with the exception of the seemingly regulars). We will not be returning to this location completely terrible experience maybe our chances would have been better seating at a table when offered, Do not recommend 0/10 waste of time and money. As I said prior I was never given his name and wasn’t able to hear anyone at the bar say it so I asked the host before we left he negligently responded with John….never had a worse experience at a bar in my 56 years of living, that man needs to seriously work on his customer service!!!!
Just left this location on a snowy Monday night, The grossest food I’ve had at any Applebee’s and I’ve been to all 50 states so that says loads. Our sever was rude on her phone all the time and we could see her just chatting up a storm with her coworkers instead of seeing if we needed anything or if our food was decent she had a nameless name tag on very nice I didn’t see anyone other than the host with name tags and her again nameless one this place is awful bad experience can’t believe there are good reviews at all
New gm changed the menu and the portions are much, much smaller than before. Not worth the money now. Most of the staff is wonderful, especially Kristen and Angelica
Let me say I normally don’t have a problem with this establishment, however on 4-21-24 stopped in for lunch. I requested bottle water, chicken tenders and fries with the chips and spinach dip. My waiter informed me they were out of bottle water, dip was nasty chips were stale. When my food came out I noticed chicken tenders were significantly smaller. Food was warm not hot I informed waiter he looked as if I had two heads. I was disappointed in the entire meal. People spend their hard working money and should get a decent meal they are paying for.
I was shopping and my son and I decided to go to Applebees Latham for dinner before heading home this past Sunday . I am embarrassed for Applebees! What a horrible experience . We were sat right away , it took the waitress over 25 minutes to come to our table. When she arrived we gave our drink order. My son wanted the Blue drink that comes with Whipped Cream and a cherry. Drinks came - No whip cream or cherry. I asked for it to be made how the menu presents the drink and she kindly did after stating she didn’t know i wanted a non alcoholic drink dirty ? Moving along it was time to order- we ordered . The appetizer took almost 45 minutes to come out and then an hour and half later still no food! I had to ask what’s going on? I was told staff is lie and the manager is on the cook line. I was there for almost 2 hours still with no food yet the tables around me that sat AFTER me had appetizers and food I spoke to the manager after waiting she came out from the kitchen and had a complete attitude. Was it because my son is special needs that we were treated differently With unfriendly service? If it’s the Food Line Then why does everybody have their food? Why are we the only ones with nothing? I have visited the East Greenbush Applebee’s and always had a great experience. I will say after this experience in Latham, I will no longer be a patron of Applebee’s. I am a single parent of a special needs teenager And it was a big deal for us to be able to sit and have a meal out together. To have it ruined by this horrific experience is something I will never forget. Shame on the manager that Had an attitude because I brought it to her attention what was going on! I had to take our food home and the food was disgusting. We threw it out. The waitress was nice enough to discount the bill. However, this experience was the worst dining experience I ever had. Never again! if you have a special needs child, I do not recommend visiting that location.
Ordered delivery. Took an hour and a half just for them to make it. When it finally got delivered there were 2 full meals missing and an appetizer. Had to feed my starving children so we weren't going to drive back to get what was missing
Me my 3yo autistic son, husband and friend went for lunch on 9/8. There was maybe 2 customers when we got there. While it may not be that clear my son is autistic. It’s very clear he is intellectually or other wise disabled. Or waiter was nice. But with disabled toddler, he licks his food twirls it and drops it. The waiter kept a great game face. But the dirty looks from another staff memeber dressed in all black seeming to be the youngest there. Made discussing eye rolling faces every time she walked by. An older waiter walked by and made a personal comment with a chuckling smile. On the lines of remembering those days and it’s ok. Before we leave we always pick up any food he drops. And we always leave a tip for the inconvenience and apologize. Staff needs to be a lot more educated about general customer service. The fact that a child seemingly to big for a high chair should have been a little inclination that they may be disabled. But no one goes anywhere to be stared at judged and given dirty looks. Our waiter may not have understood, but she still gave us service with a smile and respect and demonstrated patience’s.
We’re regular customers at Applebee’s in Latham. We arrived around 10:30 p.m., knowing they close at 12, so we figured we’d have plenty of time to eat and chat for a bit. However, our food came out so quickly it seemed like it might have just been microwaved. While we were eating, one of the employees spent about 20 minutes cleaning a table right across from us, and another was vacuuming and pretending to clean in our section. It also felt like they turned off the heat because it was noticeably cold where we were sitting, even though the rest of the restaurant didn’t feel that way. Overall, my friend and I felt rushed throughout our meal, which made the experience uncomfortable.
Went to lunch with my daughter yesterday in Latham on 10/21 let’s just say the service was absolutely awful. My daughter‘s hamburger came back twice red so let’s just say I ended up eating alone and my daughter ended up having to go somewhere else to eat manager didn’t seem to mind took nothing off the bell I would never in my lifetime go there again absolutely awful service
Me and my daughter went Monday around 121it was abousletly dead in there we could not get the waitress attention because she was playing beauty hair school with another waitress. Accidently, I spilled my drink the bartender and both waitress pretended as if they didn't hear it or see the commotion of me and my daughter trying to find waysto clean it up. Very lazy and rude staff. Never go back again
Don’t go to the Latham location. Every time I do a Togo order they get it wrong. Tonight I decided to go in, and no better. The waiter must have forgot our ticket because people who sat down 15 minutes after us got their food before we did. Took us almost 40 minutes just to get our appatizer. We got there at 7:30 and left at 9:04 just ridiculous for a steak and some chicken tenders for two people. The food wasnt that great either, especially since,I had to get up and go find our waiter because he kept disappearing. The worst experience in a long time but definitely not out of the ordinary for this location.
Night mare at apple bees 🐝 I am writing to formally report a serious issue I experienced during my visit to your restaurant this evening. I have been a long-time customer and am personally familiar with members of your staff, including the bartender, John. I have always had positive experiences in the past, which makes this incident especially concerning. I ordered a steak that was completely unacceptable from a food safety and quality standpoint. The steak appeared to have been cooked entirely on one side only. When I attempted to take a very small bite—barely applying any pressure—the taste was immediately and overwhelmingly burnt, blackened, and bitter. I instinctively spit it out due to the severity of the burn flavor. The condition of the steak was such that it caused genuine concern about whether it was safe to consume at all. I want to emphasize that I have never sent food back before. I do not complain lightly, and I generally avoid raising issues with restaurant staff. However, this situation left me no choice. When the server and management saw the steak, their reactions confirmed my concerns. Multiple managers, including upper management, came to the table and visibly recognized that the steak was not acceptable. While the managers were polite and understanding, the resolution offered—removal of only the two steaks from the bill—did not feel appropriate given the severity of the issue, the distress it caused, and the clear food quality failure. I believe this situation warranted a full comp of the meal and a more proactive acknowledgment of the seriousness of serving food in this condition. Had that occurred, I would not be submitting this complaint. I am submitting this formally because this was not a minor mistake—it was a food quality and safety concern that should be addressed to prevent it from happening again. I also remain concerned about the potential health implications of having even tasted the food. I would appreciate follow-up regarding how this matter will be addressed and what steps will be taken to ensure this does not happen to other guests. Stopped by the establishment to grab some quick eats.The place is known to be family/kid friendly,we’ve been to the specific location once before and other spots.Our server was very nice and polite.The food tho came out cold and 2/4 of our plates contained hair that we caught.Staff was not wearing hairnets,which makes me concerned how sanitary this place really is(btw hairnets ,and hand hygiene ).Manager was very polite and apologetic but we wouldn’t return.Good luck
So I go into this place that they call “neighborhood bar and Grill“ and it’s fairly busy which is good for business. I wanted to watch NFL and wanted to sit in bar area where the TVs are and such. Bar top was full but they had a couple open tables in the bar. I asked if we could sit at a booth in the bar to watch the game since the bar top was full. Host says no we are not sitting anyone else in the bar. I was confused since all, but like two of the tables in the bar area were occupied, and most of the restaurant was full meaning there were a couple of other tables open in the restaurant, but they weren’t in view of the TVs and they had a view of a little tiny TV. So I politely suggest are you guys willing to lose money I’ll go somewhere else if you can’t sit me over there because that’s why I came. So the young man goes and asks and comes back and says no we can’t sit you over there so we left. This decision reflects very poorly on the management team there as the managements decision to forgo a steady reliable customer that only wanted to sit in an open table that had other tables being served right next to it. They were willing to sit me at a table that was literally like 5 feet away on the other side of the little short wall, but not in this particular open table that had a view of the televisions. Sure my money means nothing to them. I get that. I get it. It was probably only 100 or $150 tab but now they gotta deal with this negative review because of their lack of intelligence and how to run a restaurant. It’s not like their food is really good or anything. They literally have to sell their appetizers for half the price for much of the day just to keep people coming through the door. No one‘s going there to seek out Applebee’s food so they need to watch their step when they’re calling their self the neighborhood bar and Grill when they won’t even seat somebody at an open freaking table that’s next to other tables that are being served. Manager looked clueless like they didn’t belong in charge of anything never mind a restaurant. So I can blame this on poor management or maybe we should take a look at the fact that the person I was with was African-American and perhaps the management team here has a problem with certain types of people. So which was it? Was it inept management or racism? Either way, corporate should investigate this place to get a grip of what’s going on in there before they get a lawsuit from people that are more vindictive than we are. # is Applebees America’s most racist bar? Please share your experience of any time you felt you had a racist experience at an Applebees. Let’s see if it’s a pattern it just a one off.
I rarely leave negative reviews, but our experience here was so unbelievably disappointing that I feel obligated to share it. When my husband and I walked in, we were the only people standing at the front door. As we waited, two other couples came in behind us. Despite this, we were never greeted, never acknowledged, and completely ignored. The young man acting as the hostess appeared dazed, confused, and genuinely seemed like he didn’t know what he was doing. It was uncomfortable to watch and certainly not the level of professionalism you expect when walking into a restaurant. When he finally grabbed menus and looked our way, he seated us directly beside a loud family of eight, even though the dining room had plenty of open and more comfortable seating options. It felt careless and dismissive. We ordered a piña colada and chips with queso to start. The chips alone took 45 minutes to arrive. During that wait, my “drink” was brought out… except instead of a piña colada, I was literally handed a glass of Pinot Noir. When I let the server know this wasn’t my order, she just said “oh” and walked away. My actual drink came out about 10 minutes later, and it tasted stale, expired, and honestly questionable. I ended up switching to a Pepsi because it was undrinkable. As if that wasn’t enough, our entrées — fish and chips and a cheeseburger with fries — took over an hour and ten minutes. For basic menu items, this is completely unacceptable. Between the lack of greeting, the confusion from staff, the bizarre drink mix-up, the ridiculous wait times, and the overall lack of cleanliness and organization, this was hands down one of the most upsetting dining experiences we’ve had. We will NOT be returning until this place is cleaned, better managed, and staffed with people who actually know what they’re doing.
The hostest was friendly & kind, seating us at a table like I had requested. The server I had this time, a cute younger light skinned male with curly hair, was beyond rude. Things started out fine after bringing our drinks we asked for another minute to decide on our order. We did put in our soup choices however. A few moments had past. I am looking straight ahead and I am watching him sitting at a table chatting with the waitress sitting in the booth across the isle. Prior to sitting down both were sweeping/cleaning up the section. I speak up a little bit and state "I'm sorry, we're all set now." They continue to chat/gossip. I think to myself, oh wow, maybe he didn't hear me. I give it another minute and I notice the hostest near the bar on the left of me by the kitchen. I kindly ask if he would mind letting our server know that we are ready. I watch him tell the server whom never even acknowledged that he was informed of anything. He just kept talking with the waitress. Several more minutes past while I continue to watch him. I was flabbergasted. He finally gets up and comes over and half heartedly says "sorry about that." The waitress he was chatting with follows behind him and says "yea I'm sorry too." I was very mad. We had a good meal but his tip reflected his rudeness & lack of care. I have never tipped so poorly before.
Ordered Burger deal meal, fries was cold. I ordered the signature Christmas drink with out the double shot. The waiter added the double shot on my tab. Overall service was below average. The only good thing was the waiter took off the drink, I'm not sure why you can't take your drink home if you do not finish it, which is silly. You can order a drink to go, if you order at the table, you can not take the drink home which makes zero sense. So I only drunk half, she was nice to remove from my tab. The burger tasted burnt, well done is not burnt. Will never go back for food. The drink was very tasty though good job to bar tender.
My plate was extremely dirty. I touched it and could feel the filth rubbing up against my fingers. It was disgusting and nothing that came from my food that I got. I could barely eat my salad and just picked at it. I am not going to say anything either as I don't want an even dirtier plate or anything else happening to my food. Picture for reference
We have been to this Applebees many times because it’s kid friendly, food is decent. We went on 10/31/25 and had the most miserable server. I get that it was Halloween , it wasn’t unusually busy. She took our orders and definitely didn’t go out of her way to be kind or make recommendations - which is fine… but then the food came out and she never checked back. It felt like she would walk by and purposely avoid us. No second round of drinks to be had - money lost. We finally waved her down to ask if I could have the sauce/ topping for my chicken. She said “I’ll take it off your bill and bring boxes,” in a very rude manner. No offer for dessert, no sauce for chicken. Just very rude. Don’t know her name because our receipt had 2 different names and she never even introduced herself. She was wearing rabbit ears on Halloween. She is costing the restaurant money… should get it together or go. We still tipped 20% but she didn’t deserve it. We usually tip more especially on holidays. My partner and I came into this Applebee's location over the weekend looking for a bit of nostalgia. What we got was a messed up order of mediocre food, a rude waitress who really couldn't be bothered, and an overall bad experience. The restaurant was busy but not slammed by any means for a Friday night. The hostess walked around with her earbuds in, mostly oblivious. I ordered a side salad first, never got it. I ordered the trio sampler and only two of the three items were correct, but the waitress avoided the table in just long enough intervals that it didn't make sense to send anything back (besides, who knows what they would have done to the food). My partner only had about ten fries with her burger. The server could be seen socializing with her co-workers in the corner, drinking an energy drink, more than bothering with any of her tables. The entire meal sucked as did the service and we won't be going back. There was a time when Applebee's was just great, but that time has sadly since passed. And, after our experience, it's evident why Chili's seems to have won out in the casual dining wars.
