Opinions de Layne's Chicken Fingers Lewisville
Never heard of this place but saw it on doordash, decided to give it a try. how have i not heard of this before? The toast, fries, chicken, dips, everything was amazing. 5 stars if you keep serving me food like that I will keep ordering it.
First time back in town for the last few months and we used to eat at this place quite a bit before I left. Really nice to leave and come back and have some nice place to eat. Had the sandwich deal which was very much similar to the chicken finger dealer except for it was in pieces of bread good and fresh. French fries are always outstanding.
Better than cane’s! They offer multiple sauces, potato salad, shakes & the option of classic or spicy! Try it next time you want some chicken fingers! 😋
Miguel and his team have me the hands down best experience! I ordered food for a school competition an hour away from this location. From the first phone call to get assistance, to having them help me load my car with +120 tenders, I was WOWED.
Great service .. the gentleman at the drive thru provided excellent customer service
We love this place. 1000% better than Raising Canes and you can tell this is the original. So many other options. And we love the different sauces as well as original or spicy. My son wants to visit here weekly if it wasn’t a bit far from our place we would. I wish they had more locations for others to try. Won’t be disappointed for that’s for sure.
This last visit was great! Great customer service! The young man working the drive-through window was so courteous and professional
My experience at Laynes is always great, the chicken is better than Canes.
Love Laynes Chicken, cants wait till they open the Rockwall location.
Joe was amazing! Food was amazing! Chickens way better than raising canes
Great service here!!! Great prices too!! A worker named Gary walked around greeting customers and talked to us for a few mins. Safe to say I will definitely be back here Laynes>Canes Yeah I said it
Their grilled cheese sandwich is to die for soo good. And best fries hands down
my team always go in right at open time 10:32! and the staff is there waiting for us with no problem and hot food
The chicken fingers are full of flavor. The staff is friendly. It’s all good!!
This was our first time ever trying Laynes chicken fingers. this was actually a very pleasant experience due to the amazing front counter girl named Abby. She so kindly told us the back story behind Laynes and Cains. She did a great job and was very easy to deal with. Her amazing personally will be the reason (besides the chicken fingers and sauce) that we return more often now. Even though it is not near our house we will go out of the way to go again. I give this place a 10/10. Evin and Codie
Lanes is great good customer service good chicken way better than canes
Absolutely love these spicy tenders. Really meat and crispy fries that go amazingly well with jalapeño ranch sauce 😋
I like the Layne’s sauce, it tastes good, the place is clean and I also like how it’s always fresh. Best experience here.
I have always drove by this place and wanted to try it. Today I did just that. I am glad I did. I love me some Raising Canes but let me say Layne's is AMAZING!!! Their chicken is seasoned and crispy. One thing I hate is a soggy fry and that is something Layne's does not have. Their fries are crispy like they are doubled fried. Now their signature sauce is different than Raising Canes but it is just as delicious with more of a peppery taste. They also have several other choices for sauces if you do not want their signature sauce, something Raising Canes does not offer. Definitely try their jalopeno ranch it is amazing!!! If you haven't tried Layne's before do give it a try. (Sorry I forgot to take a picture before I started eating)
First time here and the food was great. The chicken fingers and fries were fresh and perfectly crispy. They have a signature dipping sauce. Gotta love the garlic toast as a side. Restaurant was super clean and the staff above and beyond friendly. They have a rewards program that I signed up for and would definitely return next time I'm in the neighborhood.
Hands down Layne’s is 1,000% better than raising cane’s. I will never waste my money there again. Ever. The chicken had great flavor. All 5 of the sauce choices were amazing. Potato salad instead of dumb coleslaw. Real Texas toast?!? And the shake was incredible. Does cane’s even serve ice cream??? I don’t know and I’ll never find it cause I’m never going back.
Better than canes they gave me a sauce when I asked for it instead of charging me trying to charge me $0.35 for that reason alone it beats Cane's hands down for service
Joe is an AMAZING employee, I’m from Oklahoma City, been here twice to this location and both times he is just absolutely wonderful!
Joe with the beard was fantastic. The best service I have ever received through a drive thru!
Fantastic product and employees are some of the nicest in the fast food industry. Very consistent!
First time here. First time visitors are encouraged to taste all the sauces along with a new BBQ sauce they are getting opinions on. I was asked about my dining experience something that rarely ever happens any more and it seemed appreciated. Its a nice touch most products are prepared in house not a lot of prepackaged items. I expect to see this place expand to many more locations in the future
Layne's is the absolute best, and we almost always go to this location. We don't ever go to that other place anymore because they don't even compare! Layne's has the BEST lemonade, the BEST chicken, and the BEST customer service. Thank you for offering an assortment of sauces. My favorite is the gravy. Yummmmy! We highly recommend Layne's!
The quality of food here is drastically better than cane's. It's not even close. I'm never going to cane's again, unless it's the only option.
My food was hot and ready fast customer service and I was surprised it was still hot and it tasted really good. This place is going to be my new eating grounds
Saw this on our way to IKEA in Frisco and decided to stop, the atmosphere was nice. It is a fairly new chain that originated in college station. I won't lie the menu is closely related to some other chicken places, but it does have its own distinct flavor. The chicken has a bit more Tang to it than others and the sauce is actually pretty damn good. Overall it was a good meal, I had the 5 piece with a side of honey mustard sauce and sweet tea. So if you get a appetite for chicken this is a good place to stop.
UPDATE Feb 2021. Back again for weekday lunch while doing errands in the area. We each got the 3-finger basket which is plenty and made leftovers as well. Watch where you park during weekday lunch as you might get trapped by all the drive-thru trade. Most customers were there for drive-thru. OooRah! They are open for dining in again although limited seating for now due to virus crises. Great 1st impression here for our first visit to any Layne's location. We got the 3 chicken strips which was plenty for lunch and some left over for next week. Switched out the fries for cold slaw. Order was served very quickly and very hot, nice touch. Beverage machines as usual with free refills on counter. I took a number of interior photos for your info.
Service is top notch. Food was amazing as always. And the gentleman working the window was actually one of the best employees I've had the pleasure of meeting. And that says alot. Counting the number of restaurants I've visited.
Joe served me my food. Had to ask him what his name was because he deserves an amazing 5 star review. More people should serve your food with such delight and joy working the drive through. He is making people day.
Absolutely amazing. I’ve driven by this location multiple times over the last two months and decided to finally stop in today. I was greeted by a gentleman that was beyond exceptional and welcoming me in. Then the food was to die for. I’m definitely a Layneiac now.
Food is great. Cooked perfectly. Fries are crunchy & salty. The chicken is crispy & flavorful (the spicy tender). Prices are super reasonable. The shakes are good as well. It def feels like an upscale fast food for lunch /dinner. You have options for dipping such as jalapeño ranch, buttermilk ranch, laynes original sauce. They also have chicken wrap which I would try next time. The toasted bread that comes with the meal is on point. The guy at the drive thru was super helpful & kind on Friday. Didn't have to wait long for our food.
So this was my first time in Layne's Chicken Fingers. I have to say I liked it alot, if you've been to Raising Canes it's very similar along the chicken and fries, however it diverges from there. They have wraps and a couple other things, all along the same line, but they offer a couple of different sauces which always irritated me about Canes. If you see one, only three locations in Texas, I would highly suggest checking it out for yourself.
Get on over here and eat some of these chicken fingers because they are the very best. I'm not kidding. I got a 4-piece meal with two spicy fingers and two original fingers. Careful - the fingers and fries come to your table hot because they are super fresh. The Texas toast and Barq's Root Beer were the perfect compliments to the fries and fingers. I'm going to try one of their shakes next time. Can't wait!
Laynes is so delicious. I have been eating at Raising Cane‘s since they have been open and I think Laynes is way better. They have the most delicious fries and ranch and honey mustard. They’re spicy chicken fngers are perfect. The only thing I don’t like is their Laynes sauce. And they have delicious sweet tea! 5 Stars Across the Board! And I am so happy to have gotten my three finger birthday meal!
The food was better than you know who! The fries were a 10 and the sauce was delicious. I don’t live in the area but I would go out of my way to eat here again. The employees were very friendly.
Such an incredibly kind kid working the drive through tonight! He was making drinks, taking orders, getting the food ready all with a big smile and super friendly/respectful vibe!! It really is workers like him that make people regulars. I wish I asked for his name. I’ll definitely be back! THANK YOU!
The food is ALWAYS great, fresh, and tastes good. Also I did not get the gentlemen’s name that worked in the drive through today around the after on 11/14/2025, but his customer service is immaculate. The staff is always friendly, swift, and helpful.
On the debate between the two big fast food chicken finger chains...I'm going with Layne's (sorry Cane's, it was good while it lasted). Both the chicken and the fries seemed just a bit more tender on the inside and crispy on the outside. And I really enjoyed the spicy chicken and the superior dipping sauce.
I had never been to a Laynes before until this day. And man was I impressed. I had heard people say it was better than Canes, which as a fan of Canes, I believed Laynes was good, but as someone who lives 30 minutes away, I genuinely think I will be making this trip every time I want chicken instead of 15 minutes to the nearest Canes. The chicken was juicy, tender, crispy, and seasoned, and the spicy chicken had a nice kick to it, but was drowned in spicy like some other chicken places. Seasoning belongs on your food, not stuck to your fingers. The fries were phenomenal, and unlike Canes, every single fry was crispy, and even after sitting there for 20 minutes while I was eating, still weren't soggy. I tried every sauce while I was there, and my top three (in ranking order) was the Barbecue Sauce at number 1, Laynes Sauce at number 2, and their Ranch at number 3. The service was amazing here, and they had people coming around every 10 minutes or so just to check up on you, pick up dishes if you are done and so forth. Was greeted with a smile when walking in, and was parted with a smile walking out. The workers here are absolutely wonderful. 10/5, will absolutely come back here again. Thank you Laynes!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I had a great experience at Layne’s Chicken! The place was super clean, the food was fresh and delicious, and the atmosphere was really nice. I also want to give a special shoutout to Fernando (I believe he’s the manager) — his customer service was amazing! He was very friendly, welcoming, and made sure everything was perfect. I love this location and will definitely be back! 👏🏽🍗✨
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I had such a great experience at this chicken restaurant! The food was delicious, but what really stood out to me was the customer service. Nayeli went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. She has such an amazing attitude so friendly, welcoming, and attentive. You can tell she genuinely cares about the customers and enjoys what she does. Service like hers makes the whole experience even better. I’ll definitely be coming back, not just for the food, but for the outstanding service!
This was our first time here as we don't have a Layne's Chicken near us. The place was clean. The cashier wasn't the friendliest but wasn't rude either. I got the 3 finger meal and switched the fries for potato salad and the Layne sauce for jalapeño ranch. Our food came out quickly and was very tasty. I especially like the seasoning on the chicken. I also enjoyed the potato salad. It's a mayo base and delicious. The men's restroom was clean and the hot water worked well. When we are in this area again, we'll be sure to stop by.
We tried this place recently for lunch and it was ok. We tried the 5 finger combo. We ordered 3 regular and 2 spicy. The spicy chicken fingers had a good kick to them. Dipping it into the Layne’s sauce bumped it up a notch too with the pepper. My daughter enjoyed her grilled cheese. The chocolate shake was good. The service was quick and the food came out hot. We would come back if we’re looking for a chicken fix.
Eerily similar to Cane’s in almost every way (name, food, humble university beginnings). The menu has more options than Cane’s—including ranch and honey mustard—but not as much as Zaxby’s. The chicken fingers and the obligatory mayo-based special sauce had more black pepper than Cane’s. Texas toast was good. Fries were slightly soggy. Clean inside.
Food quality was really great, but this place is more expensive than Canes and the "fingers" were all very small, more comparable to the chicken bites at ShakeShack that are actually nuggets. I would never call these tenders, still good food and great quality but just be prepared to pay a lot more than normal for a small amount of fast food chicken. Maybe next time I come here proportions will make sense for the cost.
The food was quite good, though the fries could use a touch less salt. I agree with another reviewer's comment on the Texas toast being very good. The dining room was clean and well kept. And so also the drink station and utensils area. The counter attendant was very helpful. The one real miss was an employee taking their break in the dining area, and playing the media on their phone loud enough to hear on the other side of the dining room. They work hard and deserve their break time. However, playing the media on their phone is not respectful of others, and it did not go with the dining room music.
Food took wayyy too long as in forty minutes for 6 chicken tenders. The tea container was also REALLY upsetting because people should be able to receive what they paid for as in a drink.Other than that the food is great i just think they need to find better workers that can actually work instead of laughing more than doing their job as well.
Great place for tasty fresh chicken fingers. Their sauces are homemade that come with meal. Extra sauces are 37 cents per sauce but they are GOOD!. They have a nice amount of crinkle cut fries and a slice of texas toast. They have a NEW Strawberry Lemonade that's not yet on the menu. I HIGHLY SUGGEST trying it as it's so delicious! I love the customer service and dedication to detail by Austin and the Manager, Sydney. Due to the service and great taste, Zaxbys is no longer on our list of places to dine. Their chicken is almost as good as Chic Fila which says alot. Definitely try them as you won't regret it. Great for family, friends, lunch, dinner and quick business meals or dates. ENJOY!
The establishment was clean. And the staff was friensly. The atmosphere was fun and very laud back. If you sign up for their tewards program, they immediately give you a buy one combo receive one free. My family of 5 ate here for $12.68. The signature sauce was way to peppery for my liking. Other than that, there are no complaints.
The chicken was very tender and prices were good. They make their own sauces. Both the honey mustard and Layne's sauces were tasty. The Layne's sauce has lots of black pepper, which I liked. They have nugget ice like sonic and foam cups, so your drink stays cool. The fries were nice and crisp, crinkle cut.
Our first visit and there will be more visits in our future. The big debate: Layne's or Cane's? Layne's is definitely the winner! Everything is better, chicken, fries, toast and sauces. You have sauce choices! And they have good tea. If you don't eat fried foods, they have a wrap and a grilled cheese on the menu. Layne's cooks to order, no old chicken sitting around waiting to be served. Service was friendly and efficient. We'd choose Layne's over other chicken tenders everyday!
Nice juicy and plump tenders. Wished they had a better selection of hot sauces though the BBQ sauce was delicious. Everything was good. Fries were really good too.
Not bad, but not the best. It’s like a better version of Raising Cane’s, but not as great as Dave’s. (I don’t like Cane’s at all). The chicken was fairly crispy and tasted fresh, the tenders were a decent size, and the bread was fluffy and buttered. The buttered bread was my favorite part of the meal
Best way to describe this place, it's like Cane's but different decor, atmosphere. Their Layne's sauce is more vinegar based and a bit more spicy. Honestly, I do prefer it over Cane's sweeter sauce. A huge plus, you can get other sauces including country gravy. I love getting an additional side of the gravy for dipping the deliciously crispy crinkle-cut fries.
*Drive Thru / Chain Fast Food* It's difficult to NOT compare this to another chain chicken tender restaurant. I like the offering of grilled chicken! I like that you can order a wrap! I like that there's a variety of dipping sauces! I like that you can have cheese! Maybe I can ask that my dip sauce be added on the wrap so I don't have to make a mess of unrolling. Grilled chicken seems just that, grilled. I can't taste seasoning. And the grilled chicken for the wrap is cold. I might like it more if it were hot. I don't know but... the tendon in the chicken can be removed because it's not edible.
Tried this place the other day because my nephew compared it to Canes. He said he thought it was better, so as soon as he said that, I knew I needed to try this place. It was pretty good! My family and I ordered the family meal/pack and it was ready for us in no time which was awesome. The different sauces were very good, the chicken was nice and crispy, the fries were cooked well and the toast was very yummy and buttery. Only downside was that the chicken seemed to have a lil bit of an overall greasy/oily taste that took over a bit at times. That definitely threw me off. We also ordered some spicy strips and they barely had any kick to them. Maybe thats our taste buds tho😂 The workers were also very patient and kind which was great. 😊
Not bad but very basic tenders, small in size and very basic fries. “Texas toast” is also just toasted bread. Good price and of course, it’s fried tenders so tastes good. Would rank kfc slightly better.
Food was just meh. Not bad but not better than other chicken finger places. The workers were very nice and polite though and that for me goes a long way. Will I go again, if I am near one but I won’t drive out of my way for this.
We had a 3piece meal and 1kids meal. Service was a little slow on a Thursday evening near 6pm. I stood away from the counter but no one acknowledged me so I stopped by the restroom and returned. The workers were friendly and they did greet me when I approached the counter. I saw 3 workers present and they stayed busy, not standing around or anything bad. But the food came out really slow, I assume it took awhile to cook and prepare. Our lemonade was a bit too sweet and it had a weird aftertaste. The chicken was looked fine but we didn't like it, a lot. The Layne's sauce is similar to Canes or Zaxby's but it was much thinner, like more watery. I didn't enjoy it either. Nice, clean restaurant but it wasn't for us.
As a person who ate at the original Layne’s in college station since the 2000’s I can say these franchisees are not has good as the original, but with that said, this food is good and comparable to similar chicken tender sites. Sauce has the same great taste but the fingers were small (2-3”) and not worth the price when you’re getting half the chicken you should be. The restaurant was clean and the staff were friendly but the size of the fingers is what really knocked this score down.
Updated Review: Really disappointed in the progression of Layne's. Overall the chicken has become decent, but most importantly much smaller. The tenders look like they are cut in half and sold as a full piece. They charge about the same as Cane's and other similar restaurants, but the chicken tenders are half the size! Also the Layne's sauce has gotten a lot pepperier and I don't like it anymore, luckily the other sauces are still great. Original Review: Always great chicken! Even the sauces are delicious! Most of the time service is outstanding as well. Fast food is not without it's blemishes, but Layne's is truly on the upper end!
I've consistently experienced quick service at this location, usually receiving my food within 5 minutes despite often being busy. However, today at 9:50 PM, after paying, I was asked to pull forward and then kept waiting for 20 minutes. This significant delay was disappointing and unexpected." The cashier name is Ameena.
This place is so hit and miss. It's close to work so I eat here frequently but that may change. Sometimes it's fresh and hot, others times it's almost room temp. Unless you're ready to gamble on whether your meal is hot and fresh or taste like leftovers I would not eat here.
First time try Lanes and the chicken fingers were good. What I didn't like that my sons kids finger meal came with wing sauce and I ask to switch that out for gravy and the only way I could was to pay extra. So first time Last time here.
I used to come here pretty often because my food would always be hot and fresh. My last 3 visits has been the opposite. It taste like my food has been sitting under the light for a while. Chewy and kind of dry. I noticed the portion size has been less. For $15 id expect more than a small amount of fries.
This is my usual Laynes and I’ve never had any issues before however I came in the other day for a pick up order and noticed that 2 of the employees were eating behind the counter. I myself have worked in fast food and understand the fast placed nature of working, I also know how much of a health issue it is to do this. It would be one thing if they were in the dining room eating but they were not. I almost did not eat my meal because of how gross it was. Who knows what kind of germs could have accidentally contaminated the patrons meals
I am a Laynes fan! I went to a different location tonight as I was heading to work..I waited after paying less than 5 mins before receiving my order. The fries were barely warm and the chicken tenders were undercooked! I had a feeling service would be mediocre because it was within an hour of closing time. Very disappointed customer..
Only a 2 because I’m big on customer service and even bigger on doing it right. Quick service but wish it was better service. Ordered 2 meals , same meals one regular one spicy. With 2 different sauces. As soon as I walked to the table to set my things down so I can so go get my drinks, they bring my food which is fine. Love fast service. But not only did they get the sauce wrong? I have no idea which is spicy in which is not. Can you put the same sauces in each one and they weren’t even the sauces I asked for. I asked for a cane sauce and ranch and they gave me jalapeño ranch which is just gonna go in the trash because I don’t like spicy. And I think I’m eating the spicy chicken and not my husband idk.. for a first time there was not impressed. Food so far is ok. The chicken is juicy that’s a great thing and the fries are just basic fries. Sauce is needed
Ordered a 5 finger meal to be delivered. We love laynes and when we pick it up or eat in I is delicious and great portions but the delivered meal was so small. I HATE when places do this. Makes me not want to go back
Chicken strips were not tender at all, like chewing beef jerky. Not worth the price
I recently had an incredibly disappointing experience at Lane's Chicken Fingers off Midway and 121. Despite being the last customer, my food took an eternity to arrive, and when it finally did, the gentleman at the window was too busy cleaning to pay attention. To make matters worse, my food was cold and unsatisfactory. The chicken wrap was soggy, and the 7 or 8 fries I did receive were were ice cold. I was unaware that the restaurant was closing, but even so, it was still disheartening to receive such poor service and food. The open sign was on, which added to my confusion and frustration. In my opinion, Lane's Chicken Fingers needs to improve their service and make sure that their food is up to the standards of their customers. Additionally, they should consider adding a sign that states their closing time or that they may not provide the best service close to closing. Overall, I would not recommend this establishment and would advise others to find a better place to get their chicken finger fix.
I am a fellow Aggie and typically love Layne’s chicken, but my husband and I recently got horrible food poisoning from this location. I reached out to the location to let them know and also reached out to corporate twice, but no one ever reached back out to me. Very disappointed with the lack of customer support and quality of the food! I will not be returning to this location.
