Opinions de Four to Eight London
The food and service were both amazing. Very tasty ...I thought the prices were in keeping with the London prices. No complaints and would certainly go again
We really enjoyed the dinner at this venue prior to visiting the theatre. Food from the comprehensive menu was beautifully presented at a reasonable price
Party for 30 handled extremely well. Tasty food. Splendid wine. And all delivered with a smile. Couldn't be more pleased with the evening.
By chance, 8 of us popped in just after 5pm on the way to the theatre. Fantastic find! Service was first class and without exception, everyone remarked how simply outstanding the food was. My wife had the mustard chicken breast in pecorina cream sauce - the most tender, moist chicken ever - and I had the salmon with a lemon sauce. Both of us asked for a spoon to finish the sauces - the chef is a master at making those! We'll definitely dine there again and will recommend the restaurant to everyone.
I have just been to Four to Eight for the first time and I can't wait to come back! The food was delicious! I had the BBQ Octopus to start followed by the Lasagne, and my goodness was it fantastic! I also have to say that the service was brilliant too. All around a great place to eat for any occasion!
we went to four to eight for a pre theatre dinner and as soon as we got there the staff were really impressive. the food was superb and interesting with great twists to classic Italian cuisine. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a great meal in town.
Superb pasta and very friendly waitresses. We went in for a rather quick bite before the theater and were greeted by an unsmiling man who showed us to a table. But then a radiant friendly waitress came and the risotto and pasta were of the best we've tasted. Too bad we couldn't drink and enjoy some more.
I've now visited this restaurant twice and both times have been exceptional. The waiting staff provide a 5 star service and the food is absolutely fantastic for the price. I'd recommend some of their small plates if your after something quick, so much better than heading to a fast food joint and you could be in and out in 30 minutes without rushing.
I had an amazing experience. I went for the pre-theater menu because I was going to see a show an hour later. In 20 minutes I already had both of my dishes served. It both tasted very well, staff was very friendly. The ambience was very Nice. I would definitly go here again!
Such care taken with the menu and every single ingredient. Such respect for the flavor of every single contribution. Pride felt from the staff who know they are serving something special. That's impossible to duplicate and cannot be missed when found.
Lovely food and overall very good service.
Really good service, excellent food and wine.
High quality food and wine, decent price.
Amazing place! Highly recommend it. Food is amazing, friendly workers and nice atmosphere.
A wide range of different wines, tasty Italian food. I'd recommend :)
really great modern italian, a good range of vegetarian food, desert is a must
Very high quality food, awesome bar, excellent wine list and reasonable price list. What more could one want!
Quiet, humble and stylish but with food that blows you away you don't expect. Simple, comfort food like you haven't had it before.
Great service and wonderful food. A lovely find in London's theatre central spot.
Best meal we've had in a long time. Excellent + friendly service.
Excellent food, great if you fancy something a bit different. Location for theatres superb, especially The Duchess.
Beautiful layout in the restaurant. Most of the food was standard but the beetroot pannacotta was lovely. The staff were rather slow so we almost missed our show but I would visit the place again and also browse their great range of wine.
I've been here twice now and I really like it. It is a change from Strada or similar! ( which is where we were almost going to go last night!). The food is beautifully laid out and beautifully tasty. It is fairly pricey (£26 for steak) but there is a good deal on a set menu where it is good value ( we ate olives - which were very yummy - bread sticks & dip, 2 starters and 2 mains ( one steak and one fish ) with 2 sides of polenta chips (we both really enjoyed the food) , and 5 glasses of wine between us for about £84 - so I think that's not bad. Staff are lovely - very. Oh & in the week a main dish and a glass of wine for £12.
A stone's throw from other established bars, pubs, cafes and eating places. However, the story behind this place caught my attention. It used to be a sandwich bar called Gino and Leo, owned by brothers Gino and Leo Zambito, frequented by celebrated British actors such as Sir Michael Gambon and Felicity Kendall. Their restaurant dream came to fruition when the shop next door became vacant. They got a backer and converted the building inside and renovated the outside to it's former glory, with floor to ceiling glass where you can enjoy the views of the surround streets. On arrival, the reception by the staff is warm and welcoming. The ambiance is cool in a trend way, but friendly. The natural materials of the deco, the fluidity and simplicity of the place gives a sense of clean and modern feel. The menu is comprehensive, and caters for all tastes. Reasonably priced.
I'd been looking for something with options that were fresh and lighter. The concierge suggested this restaurant. It was a good choice. It's a modern Italian restaurant. They don't overcook the pasta. The flavors were clean. Service was good, and the room is nice.
Delicious, simple yet sophisticated food with a strong Italian flavour, excellent service, warm and friendly atmosphere. The central island bar is a great place for cocktails and nibbles. Recommended
Great food, excellent service. We didn't get another portion of fries bc kitchen was already closed. Although they made our food - which was very delicious - about 15 min earlier. So minus 1, but still deserving recommendation.
This is a great pre theatre restaurant which lives upto the hype on it's website. Excellent Italian fare and great staff. The menu has just enough to tease your curiosity - pistachio panettone bread pudding isn't something you'll find on several menus and is worth a try.
High-end Italian with prices to boot. With the idea that Italians like dishes with "four to eight" ingredients, this is simple food with high end twists. Sage crumbs and nasturtium leaves abound, but to great effect. Perfect for a date.
Excelleht food - really really good - slightly expensive cocktails..
Incredible cocktails. Fresh food, so yummy
Stopped here for refreshments, asked to sit at the bar despite many tables empty... But drinks were lovely, and staff polite otherwise.
really enjoyed the env and the wines. the food is awesome but expensive and small plates
Set Menu offers great value. Ideal for pre theatre meal
Great decor and atmosphere. Good service food was interesting to look at and consume. Try it.
Service and ambiance were great. Affordable prices and nice range of items on menu. Unfortunately food was distinctly Average. Bread was tough and stale and pastas were lacking in flavour and a bit too aldente. Wouldn't recommend or visit again.
I was keen to check out this newest Italian restaurant on the foodie scene, which is owned by Sicilian brothers. It is a two level establishment with a modern design and crisp decor, with the main restaurant at street level and the kitchen and chef's table in the basement. Whilst we chatted to our fellow dinner companions, with a view of the kitchen, we enjoyed canapes of squid ink crackers with squid emulsion. This was paired with a crisp, citrusy Nino Franco, a Prosecco di Valdobbiadene Brut Rustico from Veneto, Italy, that complemented the intense flavours concentrated in the squid emulsion. As we sat down and made our menu choice, we were served farinata, salumi and arancini. Farinata is a chickpea frittata, and arancini are deep-fried risotto balls. For starters, I enjoyed Cured Red Mullet, with tonnato, treviso and crispy artichoke. For mains, I had a Beef Shin Ragu, a winter warming dish served on pappardelle and decorated with pecorino and nasturtium leaf. For desserts, we tucked into a velvety Opera Cake served with ricotta ice cream. We heard from our neighbours that the Amalfi lemon tart was to die for - dessert is now on our checklist! It was a thoroughly enjoyable experience with the culinary theatre of the open-plan kitchen opposite us whilst we caught up with some friends whom we had not seen for sometime. The food reminded me of my holiday in Sicily. Great food and service.
Nice restauant but not so good service. Charges 12% in servicefee up on your Bill 🙄
Average food and service at reasonable prices.
Food was below average, no flavour, fresh pasta was not fresh, no salt and pepper and stale bread. No choice but to have set menu, which did not match the menu online. Food came out quickly, is that a positive? Staff were friendly and there was a large wine selection with carafe available. Dinner for two £120.
The rib eye steak is really disappointing
Very Disappointed, took me an hour to get through to someone on Saturday to book a table for Sunday. When I finally got through, I managed to book a table for Sunday at 18:00. When me and my family showed up in front of the restaurant at 18:07 a lady was just shutting the door and when we asked her what is going on she replied she was a cleaner and has no idea. Whoever was running this place on Saturday evening had clearly little idea in what they were doing......
Walked in, had a bottle of water and walked out after paying £5.50 (for the water). Good thing we didn't ask for ice, god only knows how much extra that is. Would I recommend it - NO.
Terrible experience. We booked for a 60th birthday, for the pre-theatre menu. We allowed nearly 2 hours for our meal, 1 hour into our meal we hadn’t even received our starters. When our starters arrived the bruschetta was dry bread with chopped tomatoes and dried oregano. After an hour and half we were told our main meal would not be ready in time for us to see the show and we had to leave hungry, and very frustrated. Do not go here if you want a quick / high quality meal - you will be disappointed.
I booked a table for 10 people. Thats 5 days in advance. Discussed with them on the phone. When we went there, the restaurant was closed. No one was there. Someone should have called me texted me in advance that they were going to close. It was for my Birthday party. Luckily, we got table for another Bar called Cote nearby. Just want to give feedback for future reference really.
I been waiting so long for the meals to come, and the result is that this is real not worth for waiting half an hour! The greeting is horrible, the waitress can't even come for ordering.
