We had such an amazing time and truly enjoyed the entire evening. Everything was absolutely wonderful – from the atmosphere to the service – and we felt so well looked after from the moment we arrived. A very special thank you to Serxho and Pascal for taking such great care of us and hosting us in the best possible way. Your kindness, attention, and professionalism made our experience even more special.

Huge 5-star shoutout to Fabjan, Carmine, Serxho, and Sant K for making our evening at The Ivy Chelsea Garden absolutely unforgettable! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ From the moment we arrived, they made us feel genuinely welcomed and taken care of. Their professionalism, warmth, and attention to detail were outstanding. Every recommendation was spot-on, service was seamless, and they created such a relaxed yet special atmosphere for our dinner. It’s rare to come across a team that works so effortlessly together while still making the experience feel personal. Fabjan, Carmine, Serxho, and Sant K truly went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. Thank you all for an incredible evening! we’ll definitely be back! 🍽️✨

It was a great experience and what made it better was the service that was presented by Carmine , it was our wedding anniversary and i booked the garden seats and when we arrived we were seated in a totally different place from what i booked as i was told that it is warm and covered ,, but we were seated in a place that wasn't provided with what i was promised with until Carmine came and he did his best and moved us to a better place and when he knew it was our anniversary hr went beyond and made us feel so cimfortable , food was amazing my husband ordered fish was cooked to perfection and my burger was well cooked and the meat taste amazing , my friend ordered shphered's pie and the taste was magical . Why a fantastic meal here. The set menu is such amazing value, £19.95 for 2 courses & the food was fantastic. Service was great. The inside restaurant & huge garden is so lovely. Will definitely be back

Amazing restaurant! Super nice and cozy atmosphere. We ordered two different offers: £19 for starter and main and £26 for starter and main. The fish was very soft and enough portion. The steak was also very well flavoured and big size. The desert was honestly the best part, such a good deal! Bonus points for the amazing decor and the bathroom!

A truly relaxing escape at The Ivy Chelsea Garden. The lighting and atmosphere create a perfect, calming vibe, making it an ideal spot to unwind. What really elevates the experience is the staff—absolutely first-class, attentive, and genuinely friendly from the moment you walk in.

Dear Ivy Chelsea Garden event team, I just wanted to extend my warmest thanks to you and your team for making my sister’s bridal shower last weekend so special. Everything was beautifully arranged — from the delicious food to the beautiful atmosphere at the Glasshouse and attentive service — it all came together perfectly. Your staff support and attention to detail truly made the day stress-free and enjoyable for all of us. I couldn’t have imagined it going any better, and I’m so grateful for the care you put into making it such a memorable event. I absolutely loved the experience at The Ivy Chelsea Garden, and I know this will be the first of many events we’ll celebrate with you in the future. With gratitude, Saeeda

My very first meal in London was here, and enjoyed everything about it. The food was delicious, our server was friendly and knowledgeable, and the restaurant’s design has a beautiful green, earthy aesthetic. I highly recommend dining here for a relaxed afternoon lunch.

We enjoyed a wonderful afternoon tea at The Ivy Chelsea Garden, beautifully decorated in festive Christmas themes. The ambience alone made the experience feel magical. We opted for their special Christmas Afternoon Tea, and it was both filling and delicious. The sandwiches were excellent…especially the cucumber finger sandwich, which was a standout favorite. The sweets were adorable, festive, and just as tasty as they looked. We also loved that we could sample multiple teas throughout the service. The mint tea ended up being my favorite, it was refreshing and perfect for the season. A delightful and memorable holiday treat in the heart of London. 🎄✨

The Ivy Chelsea Garden is a standout on King’s Road a visually lovely, versatile restaurant with strong British-inspired cuisine and a welcoming, stylish atmosphere. It’s especially delightful for brunch or afternoon tea, and its garden setting makes it feel like a peaceful Chelsea oasis in the bustle of London. Just be sure to book ahead and allow time for a relaxed pace. We ordered fried squid and zucchini fritters, lobster linguine, creamy spinach and celebrated a birthday

We had a wonderful dinner! This place was recommended by a local client of mine and it was amazing! They first guided us to a table all the way in the back of the garden next to the bar, which wasn’t great so we asked to be moved and we got a way better spot! Great atmosphere, super friendly staff! The food was on point! Highly recommend!

If you’ve ever had the thought of even trying afternoon tea (aka high tea), this is the spot. My wife and I visited London and it was on my bucket list to take her to do the traditional tea service. I did my researched and reserved here. There’s around 14 The Ivy’s but not all serve afternoon tea. So do your research & make sure to book! From the dry ice in the flower, to the delectable sandwiches & house made truffles, to the FANTASTIC decor- everything was perfect and seamless. Service was fantastic, we had a cute little guy that was so sweet when we said we were a couple haha. Anyways 15/10 recommend.

One of the larger Ivy restaurants with beautiful interior and a large heated winter garden. It’s also one of their most busy restaurants but the service here is still fast and friendly. This branch at the moment also offers the 1917 set menu which gives you 2 courses and it’s definitely a great deal to try The Ivy restaurants. Food is consistent and good and overall it’s very enjoyable to visit The Ivy Chelsea.

We celebrated our wedding anniversary at The Ivy Chelsea Garden today and had a wonderful experience, made even more special thanks to our waiter, Nadia. She was incredibly attentive, kind, and genuinely sweet throughout the lunch, without ever being intrusive. Her warmth and professionalism added a lovely personal touch to our celebration. Thank you, Nadia, for making our anniversary feel so special — we truly appreciated it. Xx

It was busy Christmas season when we visited in December. It seemed there was a family Christmas event going on. Staff behind the bar were very attentive. Music didn't really fit the scene, wasn't Christmassy and more like pop music. The decor is the usual divine Ivy look. Toilets were clean. The food (I had chicken) was divine. So succulent and an absolute bargain for it's price. My friend has the steak. The bread was enough for 5 people. I would definitely recommend and would visit again.

⸻ We spent £180 for a couple, and it was money very well spent. The entire experience at The Ivy Chelsea was genuinely delightful from start to finish. The food was excellent, beautifully presented and full of flavour, and the atmosphere was elevated by the restaurant’s stunning décor — elegant, stylish, and incredibly inviting. The service truly stood out. A special mention to Nadia and Fabianj, who were both exceptional: warm, attentive, and professional, making us feel completely at ease and very well looked after throughout the evening. We also enjoyed a bottle of Côte du Rhône “Le Moustache” 2022, which was bold yet elegant, perfectly balanced, and an ideal complement to the meal. Overall, a very pleasant and memorable experience. Exceptional food, wonderful staff, beautiful surroundings, and great value for the quality delivered. We’ll definitely be returning.

Had a great experience dining here! The food was delicious and beautifully presented, but what really made the evening special was the service. A big thank you to Serxho and Pascal who were both incredibly friendly, attentive, and made us feel so welcome. 5 stars We had the most wonderful experience at The Ivy Chelsea Garden for a special family celebration. The atmosphere is absolutely stunning—lush greenery, elegant interiors, and a warm, vibrant vibe that makes you feel instantly at ease. The food was delicious and beautifully presented, and the cocktails were just as impressive. What really made the evening exceptional was our server—attentive, friendly, and spot-on with recommendations. This is the kind of place you come to for a memorable occasion or even just to enjoy the ambiance. We would return in a heartbeat—highly recommend for both locals and visitors looking for that perfect mix of style, comfort, and excellent service

I’ve attended a wedding celebration in the private room at The Ivy, and everything was absolutely perfect. The setting was elegant and intimate, creating the most beautiful atmosphere for such a special occasion to celebrate my brother’s wedding. The food was outstanding, every course was delicious with the highest quality ingredients and full of flavor. Service was impeccable throughout, attentive, professional, and warm without ever being intrusive. From start to finish, the experience was seamless and truly memorable. An unforgettable celebration in every way. I would definitely recommend to anybody looking for an amazing venue to celebrate a special occasion.

We held our wedding reception in the Glasshouse and are so glad we did. From start to finish the experience was first rate. The setting is beautiful - the photos barely do it justice, our servers - Facyal and Tommy - were fabulous and could not do enough, and the food and wine were delicious and thoroughly enjoyed by all. The whole event ran super smoothly and completely aligned with our wishes, no doubt down to meticulous organisation by the events team. Overall we had the most fantastic time and could not find fault in the food, drink, service or setting, and would highly recommend it for special occasions.

We had a lovely time for my partner’s birthday. He was given a complimentary treat and they had some great offers on so we got complimentary glasses of champagne 🥂. We brought the kids as well and they were kept occupied with colouring activities from the staff, which was perfect. Meghan who took care of our table was amazing and so clued up with their offers and everything, she was great! Food was nice too. Thank you so much for your hospitality, honestly felt really taken care off, relaxed, special and happy. Will defo be back and will recommend! x

Visited for the first time with my 7yr old, the service from arrival to leaving was fantastic and not what we are used to! Like being princesses for the day! Really good choice of meals and quality. The main reason we visited was due to how pretty the outside is decorated for Christmas, a real treat! Will be back again, thank you!

I took my mother for lunch, partly to celebrate her birthday and partly because of the flower show. We were not disappointed at all. The Ivy Chelsea Garden was perfect. The place itself was beautiful, the food looked as good as it tasted (absolutely amazing), and the staff were all lovely. Favourite being Sergio, who obviously takes pride in his job, and he is an absolute delight. Even came to say goodbye before he took his break. If you read this Sergio, it was a pleasure meeting you, thank you 😊. I would definitely go back again 👌🏼 p.s the displays outside are always next level, but this one was particularly brilliant. Definitely recommend the garden for seating, beautiful

It started pouring with rain right after I walked back from Kensington. I was absolutely starving, so I came here for dinner – I got seated in the garden area, and the gentleman serving me recommended the classic dishes really patiently. The taste was truly amazing, and all the ingredients were super fresh.

The Ivy Chelsea Garden offers a thoroughly enjoyable dining experience. The food was beautifully prepared and presented, and the £19.17 two-course set menu represented excellent value for money. The non-alcoholic cocktails were particularly impressive, with a varied and interesting selection that felt just as considered as the alcoholic options. Service was warm, friendly and attentive without being intrusive, adding to the overall sense of ease. The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming, and the décor – with its distinctive mix of animals and lush greenery – created a unique, almost whimsical setting that sets it apart from typical London restaurants. Altogether, a great combination of quality, value, and ambience, making it a lovely place for both a casual lunch or a more special occasion.

On February 13th, my mother, my daughter, and I went to a restaurant for dinner, and the atmosphere was as lovely as ever. However, I would like to extend a special thank you to Luisa, who made our evening even more enjoyable and pleasant. From the moment we sat down at our table, she was always smiling and provided extremely helpful directions, ensuring a wonderfully pleasant evening. I would also like to thank Ishika; she was very sweet as well. Thank you.On February 13th, my mother, my daughter, and I went to a restaurant for dinner, and the atmosphere was as lovely as ever. We had a truly wonderful experience at The Ivy Chelsea Garden and couldn’t fault a single thing. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the level of service throughout was exceptional. The food was delicious — beautifully presented, fresh, and full of flavour, with everything arriving at just the right pace. You can really tell care is taken with both the ingredients and the overall experience. A huge thank you to Marcus, who looked after us so well and genuinely made our visit memorable. He was incredibly hospitable, polite, and attentive without ever being intrusive — exactly the kind of service that makes you want to return. An all-round fantastic visit. We left feeling very well looked after and will most definitely be back again soon..

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The Ivy Chelsea Garden is my favourite place in London for special occasions, and our New Year's Eve celebration was absolutely exceptional! We had a short wait upon arrival, but the team more than made up for it with their outstanding hospitality. The ambiance was magical, the food was outstanding, and our server **Sofiane** made the evening truly unforgettable. His service was impeccable - attentive, warm, and professional. He made us feel incredibly special and went above and beyond to ensure we had the perfect start to 2025. Thank you Sofiane and the team for a wonderful evening. We celebrated our friend's birthday, the service was excellent, the staff was friendly and professional. We especially liked the waitress Tatyana, who fulfilled all our wishes, and the wonderful guy at the reception who found us a table for a large company despite the fact that we were late. An incredibly charismatic guy from Albania brightened up the evening with his humor and positivity. The manager was also wonderful. Overall, everything was perfect and delicious. Thank you to the staff and chef for a wonderful time!

The food is nice and the place is well decorated, however the lady served our table gave us 2 vege breakfasts instead of one vege and one full fat. A bit careless as she could have double checked with us for the order before it is placed. There were only us ordering at the time and she only took orders and not serving. It is another person served food to us.

Love this place though I prefer to go at less busy times. Tables in the garden are best if you go during summer. The food is lovely though portion size isn’t huge. Waiter last time wouldn’t let us order more as he said our time slot was up even though there was still time (?) otherwise would have given more stars

The Ivy is now doing the 1917 heritage menu where you can try their classics. Definitely worth trying as the main dish costs a little more on the main menu alone and you get to try the starter as well. Highlights are obviously the cod cake, shepherds pie and French onion soup which is on the main menu. A great way of trying out The IVY for those who haven't tried. Booked a table in advance to secure this experience, when we got there we were taken to our seats, so sat down. After we sat down, the waitress asked us if we were happy with the table obviously not because I would have asked to sit at the vacant table either to the left or right. It would have been nice if she asked before we sat down than after.

I selected the venue for its festive decor and it didn’t disappoint. Notwithstanding the Christmas decorations the fit out was stunning and I thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere. The restaurant is a chain and food wise it was tasty, you definitely pay for the ambiance and I think it is well worth the expense, even the toilets are beautiful!

I normally like many things about the Ivy experiences. The simple pleasure of leaving your coat in a proper cloakroom, a small luxury that far too many London restaurants have abandoned. Crisp white tablecloths, again increasingly rare. Matching tableware and cutlery, immaculate washrooms, and a space that is always beautifully decorated and impeccably clean. All those pictures, frames and plants do not dust themselves, and it shows that someone is paying attention. I went to Breakfast with Elves with my 9- and 11-year-old. I do think it’s better suited to younger children though, ages 3 to 9 are perfect. Aesthetically, it’s very pleasant and clearly a lot of effort went into the decorations. Someone worked very hard and it shows. The service was subpar. It took around 20 minutes to take our order, long enough to reconsider several life choices. The food was fine, but for me the Ivy has never really been about the food. It’s about the aesthetics, ambience, and usually great service. That said, it’s great value for money, especially considering the goodie bag the children receive, which definitely softened the wait and restored festive goodwill all round.

Took my mother, elderly uncle and aunt to celebrate my mother’s 75th birthday. We went for lunch and booked the 2 course offer for £19.17, which was amazing value for money. We ordered some starters and sides off the main menu also as we love their truffle arancini balls and courgette fries I’ve been to the various Ivy branches over the years so am familiar with their dishes and service. I must say however, that I do feel the quality of the food is not the same. The dishes tasted quite standard really and didn’t seem to have that deliciousness as they used to have. I had the French onion soup and the pan fried sea bream which were both quite standard. The others had the truffle linguine and shepherds pie which they said they enjoyed. As a venue, the Chelsea Garden branch is beautiful and my 70 year old plus guests all loved the atmosphere and decor. The comfortable seating i.e the sofas were also a great hit with my elderly guests. Service was great, our waiter was attentive and friendly and he went out of his way to make my mother feel special. But, we had to ask for hot water several times and also had to have our plates changed as they were dirty. The restaurant was very busy and at full capacity, so I guess that impacted the service. However, the disabled toilet which doubled up baby changing facilities was disgusting and should be checked by management for cleanliness more frequently. Overall, The Ivy does not feel as exclusive as it once did but combined with the venue and atmosphere, still worth a visit. But most importantly my mum and her guests had a great time.

This is the most beautiful atmosphere for afternoon tea! My mother in law and I enjoyed a great time having afternoon tea this past week. If you are not a tea drinker the afternoon tea can be served with coffee. There is both indoor and outdoor seating, the outdoor swearing is my recommendation because it actually was a covered outdoor area that had beautiful flowers and greenery. The service was just okay, we commonly had to ask for things like our drinks and our check multiple times before received them but nothing could beat this atmosphere. The food was all very good! It was a lot of food for one person so come hungry. Would recommend this location for afternoon tea again!! Also very affordable for afternoon tea in London at £37 per person

High tea - large portions !!! One high tea portion can feed 2-3 people but not sure you can order one high tea for 2 people. Each high tea item was not a tapa size, it was fully a main dessert size. Otherwise the venue is very pretty ! Good place to catch up with friends or a date.

A very nice restaurant in a great location. A lovely venue with good well prepared food. Loved the location and decor. Service was excellent . Only two slight niggles - firstly where we were seated , the lighting was so low that we needed torches from our phones to read the menu ( to be fair , we saw numerous people at the venue doing this) secondly , we were seated on large iron garden seats, which had deep and sloping backs - which aesthetically were lovely , but were exceptionally uncomfortable after 2 hours of dining. If you have any issues with your back , it might be a good idea to reserve seating with proper dining chairs. All in all though , a very pleasant dining experience.

Had the set menu for lunch. VERY good value at less than 20 quid excluding service. Had french onion soup which was excellent, though i slightly prefered L escargots more garlicy version. I followed with the shepherds pie. This was superb! Best sheperds pie ive ever had, excluding the one my mum used to do.

We looked through the window as we passed by and decided to stop in for dinner. From the reception to our table, the place felt clean, tidy, and well organized. The staff were polite and welcoming, greeting us with friendly smiles. Since we hadn’t planned our visit in advance, we found the main menu a little difficult to understand (we are from China and don’t really familiar with other countries’ food). Instead, we chose the Spring set menu, which was clearer and reasonably priced. The food was overall okay and nicely presented, although there were quite a lot of chips left over. The only thing we weren’t very happy about was the service from the waiter who attended to us. It wasn’t very busy, but he mostly asked closed questions and seemed quite rushed, which made me feel uncomfortable asking anything further. I also noticed he appeared more patient and slower when taking orders from another table. I ordered one kid’s menu for two children to share (as they don’t eat much), and I repeated this twice because I thought he might find it unusual. However, he still mistakenly ordered two. In the end, I had to pay extra and take one kid’s set meal away with me. Overall, I would still consider coming back in the future, mainly for the calm and relaxing environment. However, I do hope the service will be better next time.

The restaurant is absolutely gorgeous. I loved the atmosphere and the overall vibe. The sweet potato curry was tasty. The pumpkin soup was alright but it arrived cold. The arancini did not taste fresh at all, i’m almost certain it was frozen. I’m not sure it’s worth visiting for a full meal, but it looks like a perfect spot for tea.

The place was beautiful, it was a pleasure to spend some time in there. We ordered 3x afternoon tea. The drinks and food were quite good, but the whole experience was too sweet for us, we didn’t manage to finish all the desserts. The scones were too dry and sweet and they were supposed to come with cream but we got sugared butter to eat them with. The service was not good. We asked three times for a teacup for our friend who ordered coffee at first and got it after maybe half an hour. The tea was supposedly refillable but no one came to check on us even once during our 2 hour visit. We had to chase the staff to give us the tea and water refill. We were charged 13 pounds for the service which seemed laughable considering the service quality.

We went in without a reservation a little bit after lunch rush hour, or so we thought. The place was packed and the only available seats were at the bar - well, good enough for us! It took 15 minutes to get menus, another 10 until they took our order, and so much time passed until we got the appetizers I was already famished. Some courses were very good, some just mid. The best thing I can say about this place is the design, the atmosphere, and the "show" they do when presenting some of the courses. The worst is the slow service and the most upset/uninterested host at the door. I guess it would be a better experience if we came with reservations for a table service.

A

We chose this venue for a special pre-Christmas evening with four friends. Overall, the food was good — the Shepherd’s Pie and the Espresso Martini were the highlights. This is definitely a place you’d visit more for the cocktails than the food. Unfortunately, despite ordering the 3-course festive menu, we were asked to leave our reserved table due to the crowd before dessert was served. We ended up having our dessert and complimentary cocktail in a waiting area near the entrance, which slightly took away from the experience.

Dear The Ivy Team, We’ve always avoided visiting during peak seasonal events, but as regular guests and Gold members of your rewards programme — having visited most of the restaurants across the group — we felt comfortable booking for Valentine’s this year. Last night, however, genuinely made us question that loyalty. I fully appreciate that Valentine’s is busy. That’s expected. What I don’t expect is to spend close to £300 for two while receiving a noticeably lower level of service and a reduced menu. Service was poor. Our server appeared distracted throughout, and while the 13.5% service charge was applied as standard, it certainly didn’t reflect the experience. We were in the restaurant for 1.5 hours and were then asked to vacate the table due to demand — despite still having a third of a £110 bottle of wine remaining. When we asked whether we could move inside to the bar to finish it, we were told no, as it was “too busy.” The set menu was underwhelming, and when we asked whether we could order from the main menu — even though this would have increased our bill — we were told that wasn’t possible. It left us asking: who exactly is this experience designed for? If we wanted a volume-driven set-menu experience, we could have gone elsewhere. We come to The Ivy for something more considered. The Ivy has always had a strong USP — consistency, atmosphere, and a feeling of being looked after. If the pursuit of margin during peak events comes at the cost of core customer experience, that’s a slippery slope. Loyal customers notice. Ordinarily, The Ivy is our default choice in London. After last night, that’s no longer a given. I hope this is taken in the constructive spirit intended.

⭐️⭐️⭐️ (3/5) We visited The Ivy Chelsea Garden for our anniversary. The restaurant itself is beautiful — really pretty inside and out. The food was good too; for our mains we had the fish & chips and the haddock & salmon fish cake, both of which we enjoyed. However, a couple of things let the evening down. Despite booking a few weeks ahead and noting it was a special occasion, we were seated right at the far end of the restaurant where it was very quiet and felt a bit flat for a celebratory dinner. We also expected some small gesture for the anniversary (as many places do), but nothing was acknowledged, which was disappointing given the occasion. Overall, it’s a lovely venue and worth a visit, but if you’re going for a special occasion I’d recommend asking to be seated inside or on the outside terrace when you book to make the most of the atmosphere.

I was disappointed to see foie gras on the menu. Knowing it involves force-feeding ducks or geese, I personally don’t feel this belongs in modern dining. It would be nice to see more ethical choices, especially when the overall food quality didn’t justify it. Promotions shouldn’t mean compromised freshness or standards. I visited using the £19.17 two-course offer with a friend, which initially sounded like great value. However, once drinks, dessert and tea were added, we both ended up paying around £50 each so it wasn’t really the bargain it appeared to be. Unfortunately, the food quality was very disappointing. The Salt and Pepper Calamari smelled and tasted stale so was inedible, like it had been sitting for days, and the Sea bream pan fried was horrible. I didn’t raise it at the time as my friend had chosen the restaurant and I didn’t want to make things awkward for her, but it really wasn’t acceptable. Even the desserts below bar. The presentation was beautiful, but the taste wasn’t there. Service was great. Honestly, I would rather pay £19 for one good, fresh dish than two courses of poor-quality food. Very disappointing experience overall. If you’re running promotional deals, the food should still be fresh and up to standard. Cheap offers shouldn’t mean compromised quality. Sadly, this experience didn’t meet expectations.
