I celebrated my birthday at The Ivy Soho Brasserie in their private dining space, the Blake Room, and it was honestly such a beautiful and memorable experience. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted so warmly, and there’s a lovely atmosphere throughout the restaurant. It was busy, but in the best way — a great buzz, vibrant energy, and a really welcoming feel that immediately set the tone for the evening. Pauline, my event manager, helped me plan my birthday in the private dining room and was fantastic throughout the entire planning and booking process. She made everything feel seamless and easy, and although planning a big birthday is naturally a bit stressful, she was incredibly reassuring every step of the way. I had quite a few guests with different requests and dietary requirements, and she was so accommodating and supportive, which really put me at ease. She truly delivered — the day came together perfectly. On the night itself, Carlo and Josh, the manager and waiter, were amazing. The service was warm, professional, and they genuinely went above and beyond to make sure everyone was comfortable, happy with their food, and well looked after. Drinks were served promptly, and so many of my guests commented on how attentive and kind the service was. The food was absolutely delicious — beautifully prepared, full of flavour, and very satisfying. A big thank you as well to the kitchen team for being so attentive and happy to assist with any adjustments on the day. Everything ran so smoothly. The room looked stunning, well decorated, the service was outstanding, and the overall experience exceeded my expectations. This birthday meant a lot to me, and the entire team made it truly unforgettable. A massive thank you to Pauline, Carlo, Josh, and the whole Ivy Soho team. I couldn’t recommend The Ivy Soho Brasserie more.

If your looking for a restaurant with a bit of class, ambience, great food and dining, look no further than ‘The Ivy’. We have been to many ‘Ivy’s throughout the country and the food, service and vibe is pretty consistent. It’s busy pretty much anywhere, anytime, which speaks for itself. I would definitely recommend booking ahead of time not to be disappointed. This was the first time at this particular one and as always, we loved it! Be aware they do add a “discretional charge” of 13.5% to your meal. This is optional. A great experience. Thank you 💫.

We recently hosted my daughter’s bridal shower at The Ivy Soho Brasserie, and it was absolutely perfect from start to finish. One of the things that initially drew us in was the very reasonable minimum spend required to secure their private dining room; especially compared to so many other central London venues we explored. It offered excellent value without compromising on quality or experience. The private room itself is beautiful: elegant, light-filled, and thoughtfully laid out, with its own private bar and cloakroom facilities, which made the afternoon feel intimate and seamless. The personalised menus and place settings were a lovely touch and added a sense of occasion that made the event feel truly special. There were excellent menu options available across a range of price points, making it easy to tailor the afternoon to suit our guests while still enjoying The Ivy’s signature quality and presentation. Most importantly, we had a dedicated host throughout the afternoon. Enormous thanks to Kayleigh, who was superb; attentive, warm, and wonderfully sensitive to the different generations present. She ensured everything ran smoothly and made the entire celebration feel effortless and memorable. A heartfelt thank you to The Ivy Soho Brasserie team for helping us create such a special afternoon for my daughter. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it for anyone planning a bridal shower or private celebration.

Such a lovely experience with thoroughly attentive staff and a wonderful ambience. The food is exceptional, and the £19.17 menu (two courses) gives you a medley of fabulous flavours. If you have room for a dessert as well, they are surprisingly good value! You go to the Ivy for ambience, service and flavours, not for large portions; you leave feeling immensely satisfied! The Soho Brasserie is in a really quirky and telativelu peaceful area of Soho. South of Oxford Street towards Leicester Square, off Wardour Street. Highly recommended for the experience. Would love to have the right occasion to sit at the cocktail bar for a while before food!

We had a wonderful dining experience, largely thanks to our waiter, Aasis. From the moment we sat down, Aasis was very friendly and professional. She made sure our drinks were always filled and that we had everything we needed. Her excellent service truly enhanced our evening! Will definitely be returning in the near future.

Exceptional food! Kudos to the Chef in charge, scrumptious food delivered timely and beautifully plated. We were a party of four on Friday evening and thoroughly enjoyed our dinner! We were salivating before even tasting it. The dishes were cooked perfectly and the drinks we ordered complimented them. We will return as we were told that they will be changing the menu soon. The Ivy delivers on every level. The food is exceptional, beautifully presented and full of flavor. The service is equally impressive, attentive and professional from start to finish. The atmosphere strikes the perfect balance between elegant and relaxed, making it ideal for any occasion. Highly recommended for anyone looking for great food, great service and an overall outstanding experience.

I can say I’ve been to the Ivy cafe many times, however tonight we had a fantastic waitress Olivia that made the night. She was super attentive, happy to recommend drinks, all the ones she did were fantastic, she also recommended a fantastic dessert that was a superb end to the meal, fantastic service.

Beautiful setting, attentive staff, great food. Try their prefix menu. There is live music most nights.

Had a lovely lunch with complimentary champagne - due to previous disaster. Food was good. Presented really well. The scallops were over cooked probably because they are so small but the overall taste was good. Service was excellent and the experience has restored my faith in the brand. Be back soon.

We hadn't booked and took a chance to dine here. We were in London for the day for my husband's birthday. We couldn't have chosen a better place to have our celebratory meal. This place is wonderful, our waiter whose name is Tam was the best. He helped with our menu choices and was very attentive throughout the evening. The food, well we were blown away by how good it was. We didn't have a starter, just went straight to the main course. My husband had the sea bass and I had the Scottish fish cake. We had a side of creamy mash potato and a side of broccoli. All perfectly cooked and delicious. For dessert hubby had the the Birthday Bomb (obviously lol), I had the trifle. Oh my it all was soooo good. Tam our waiter also brought a profiterole with caramel sauce and a candle for my hubby to blow out. Just made our evening so special. Big thank you to Tam. Highly recommend this place for the great service, excellent food, lovely surroundings and reasonable price

Martina gave us breath taking service from the moment we walked through the doors. The ambiance was top tier in the restaurant and then Martina’s personable personality really sealed the meal for us. The food was DELICIOUS, I was in a food coma after! My bestfriend was surprised with a delicious dessert for her birthday and it really set the tone for our mini vacay. We cannot wait to come back and see Martina and to relax in this space again!

It was amazing food and very fast service with a fancy, cosy atmosphere! My only complaint was the smell of the ladies toilets! It was quite unpleasant.

As co-host of a lunch event, I was blown away by the service and especially the food. Staff were super helpful and accommodating and the quality and flavour of the food were out of this world. Highly recommended.

Wonderful service! The atmosphere is lively!(Not your place for a quiet meal). We enjoyed the vibes though a little bit noisy. The food was superb 👌🏾. Nice presentation. Enjoyed the chocolate bombs. Outdoor eating is available with warmers to keep guests warm. Would go again.

Went for a family dinner, went straight in without a reservation. Food quality and quantity was great. Nice and tender fish & chips, liked the aubergine salad although it was a bit spicy. They forgot about the pie we ordered and one of us had to wait for 15-20 more minutes to get it served to her.

Had dinner here and everything from the food to the service was wonderful. The staff were so attentive despite the restaurant being quite busy and food/drinks arrived quickly. Our first experience at the Ivy and we’ll definitely be back.

Had a lovely birthday lunch here the other afternoon. The 5 of us ordered from the £19.17 menu. The food was as delicious as ever. Our server was the lovely Kayleigh. So polite, friendly and very attentive. Always a pleasure eating here. The only downside - the music seemed a bit too loud. Nice ambient, background music is preferable. Maybe I'm getting a bit too old!

My partner made a booking for us and I loved this place so much I cannot wait to return! The mushroom linguine and chicken milanese were to die for! Justyna made the whole experience so pleasant, as much as the food was great, she’s the top reason I would return for. Her hospitality is unmatched. Thank you team for a great experience!

I had lunch here and the food was excellent, with a really nice atmosphere. The only thing I’d point out is that the waiter should check in occasionally to make sure everything is okay and if a bottle of wine is ordered, guests shouldn’t have to pour it themselves.

The food was wonderful. Every dish was very delicious and wonderfully served. However the music was too loud and the two seater tables were too close to each other.

Staff were very friendly and attentive. The food was ok, nothing bad to report other than the size of the mains and the fact no sides of chips etc come with the mains. For the price I was expecting something much higher quality than what I could cook at home. Unfortunately it was nothing special.

Really nice restaurant. The food was nice and the service was excellent, friendly and attentive. As for the atmosphere is extremely good in every IVY I've been. Definitely I'll go again and I highly recommend this place

Had a birthday celebration at The Ivy Soho. Lovely decor, atmosphere and food. Only downside was we booked more than a week in advance and upon arrival was told we were allocated an outdoor table (which we never requested). Disappointing, they asked us to come back an hour later for an indoor table. Not ideal, but it worked. Our waiter was friendly and helpful and overall we had a great experience.

The place is a very beautiful with its interior design and atmosphere well curated, especially the bar, which I also loved at their other restaurant The Ivy Asia Mayfair! Overall, the food and service were as good as at their other restaurant in Mayfair, which I had the privilege to try just the night before. But here as well I would recommend to consider revising the menu to offer a bit more variety and originality in the dishes. Nevertheless, the fried zucchini were delicious and generous (although I had already found these to another restaurant not fro the same chain - again, creativity). The service could be improved to treat the customers with better attentiveness as expected. We had to call the waiters several times as they were passing nearby our tables without ever making eye contact with us, which was a bit annoying. I will consider going again, hoping these issues will be improved soon, making this place 100% top level! Thank you and see you next time!

Not the best experience for a Ivy restaurant. I had a great experience at their branch on Tower Bridge and so decided to book again for this time in Soho. We had their offer 1917 and if if the food was good the service wasn’t that great, the waiter didn’t seemed to be present. Also, our table was at the back of the restaurant in a corner which felt quite “put aside”. I wouldn’t go back at The Ivy Soho Brasserie.

The Ivy in Soho has a large heated terrace which is opened also in winter but the inside is equally nice and spacious. Like all the other Ivy restaurants the food and service here are very good. They are doing at the moment a half price cocktail and wine by the bottle offer so it’s even better 🥂. The winter 3 course menu has some nice choices too and Wednesdays steak night is still a popular choice.

Beautifully arranged interior, with colors and different patterns everywhere. The food was mainly fried, we enjoyed the coctails nevertheless. Expensive for what it was. Would come again for the selfies and the drinks. A place for tourists and younger people.

It was so posh and amazing. The food was exceptional and the dessert was very festive-looking! Definitely a recommendation for the Christmas season!

I have been to other Ivy branches in London but it was first time in Soho. The food was excellent but the coffee could be better. Service was a bit slow but friendly. The interior design was not as good as other branches that I have been.

We had a nice evening at The Ivy, though it wasn’t without its quirks. We were initially seated at a rather odd table that felt a bit out of place—sort of in the middle of nowhere, which was slightly off-putting. To start, we had the arancini, which unfortunately lacked flavour and was quite underwhelming. The mains were generally good; however, the Chicken Milanese didn’t quite hit the mark for me—nothing wrong with it per se, just a bit underwhelming compared to expectations. On a more positive note, the service overall was excellent—attentive, professional, and warm. That said, one of the staff (a Spanish waiter who brought our drinks) was noticeably grumpy, which stood out in contrast to the otherwise friendly team. All in all, a good experience with room for improvement. We’d still return, just hoping for a better table next time and maybe a little more flavour from the kitchen!

The food was good but nothing special, and the overall experience was okay. The service was decent, but nothing particularly stood out. The location, although was quite nice and the atmosphere was also very nice and lively. Vegetarian options were not very crowed. I was a fan of the cocktails and drinks, which were all fine. One thing that did surprise me was the 13.5% service charge, which felt quite high for what we got. While I didn’t find the experience overly impressive, it was still an enjoyable meal for quite a high price.

My friend booked a table for my birthday and we enjoyed the food. However, she needed to ask for their birthday treat as we already finished & paid the bill. The manager said it comes after the bill - I am not sure if it is the general practice or it was forgotten. They brought the treat afterwards but it was no longer a surprise.

I recently dined at The Ivy Soho and had a wonderful Christmas Eve dinner at the bar. Unfortunately, as much as I loved my meal, I will say that they seemed significantly understaffed that night, which led to backups with service and a few disgruntled guests. My service at the bar was good, and I was served my food quickly. I ordered a few starters; the olives were honestly a joke. For 5 pounds I was given quite literally 5 olives, and they were average. I was a bit insulted from there but hoped the meal would get better, and it did. The roasted Scallops and Buffalo Mozzarella were both fantastic, and the presentation was excellent. Finally, for the main, I ordered the filet mignon, medium rare, with a red wine sauce. Sides included mashed potatoes and creamed spinach. Overall, this was one of the best steaks I've had in London, and the mashed potatoes were smooth and loaded with butter. The creamed spinach was a miss for me, as it just wasn't what I was looking for. Accompanied with an Italian red wine, the meal overall was a success for me on a night when it's so easy to be completed ripped off. The price was steeper than I would've liked, and included a service charge. When I brought up the olive issue to my bartender, he admitted he was embarrassed to serve them, but still did not say so when I ordered them, nor did he offer to remove them off the bill.

We visited on a Saturday evening at 5.30. We arrived 15 mins early so was seated at the bar which was fine. However sat there 10 mins before we were asked if we would like a drink. Then we were taken to our table. Starters came out wrong to start with, so had to go back. Staff were friendly and polite. Music was very loud and was like being in a night club. And it all felt a bit chaotic. Not a relaxing meal. However all the food was delicious. Im sure for some people it would be classed as a great atmosphere but not for us.

A reliable choice for a polished meal with a lively atmosphere. The menu is broad and well executed, with classics done to a high standard and generous portions. The décor is stylish without being stuffy, making it good for both casual dinners and special occasions. Prices are on the higher side, but the overall experience feels worth it. Consistent, comfortable, and dependable.

I cannot fault the service. Attentive, polite and cheerful. The ambience is pleasant. What disappointed me is the food. I struggled to find any excitement in my ordering and when the food arrived, though matching the menu description, just, well ' boring '. Shepherds pie, minute steak & chips, fish n' chips are always enjoyable, but you generally go out to eat to experience something other than what you can rustle up at home without too much effort. I believe British cuisine can be 'sexy' and appetising, with some creativity. Too long dismissed as the boring culinary relation in Europe, I do feel some excitement could be brought to the menu at the Ivy.

Disappointing experience, possibly our least favourite Ivy. We went on a Wednesday, as due to my partner low saturated fat diet, the steak night menu is perfect for him. The cocktails were great (black truffle martini and pear champagne mojito), the starter and nibble were OK, my cheese soufflé could have been more golden and did look like a fondant potato but it tasted nice and the texture was alright. My ribeye was delicious but my partner fillet was overcooked and chewy, his red wine was so so. Credit to the Ivy Soho, we were comped for his. This could have been avoided if more attention was put on the service, we were checked on infrequently, I took ages to get the drinks for the steak. My partner chips ordered was mixed up and some products knowledge training is needed.

I've been numerous times, but unfortunately this time the food did not live up to the usual good standard. We ordered from the Heritage menu. The French onion soup x2, Cottage Pie, Smoked salmon linguine, flambé creme brulé and ice cream sundae. The soup was tasty, but in both cases the cheese had sunk to the bottom of the bowl and congealed into a rubber ball. Not ideal or appetising. I assume the bowls were prepared well in advance with the cheese added and then the heat did the rest over time. My linguine was disappointingly bland. It was described as coming with smoked salmon and a cream sauce. I tasted cream. No infusion or other flavouring other than cream! Take linguine and pour some single cream over it and this was my dish. Salt and pepper couldn't improve it. The cottage pie itself was good, but unfortunately the waitress poured an extremely salty gravy over everything, rather than leave it to the guest to pour as needed. So my friend ate the centre of the pie, but left the outer edges and potato topping, because he said the sauce was far too salty. The saving grace to the meal was the dessert. The crème brulé was perfectly smooth and creamy and my sundae was also enjoyable.

Premier Inn breakfast in a beautiful room. Brunch ahead of a Palladium panto. The 'creamy' (or 'fluffy') scrambled eggs were dry and flaky. The 'golden' potato rosti were small discs straight from a catering freezer bag into the deep fryer. Better reports of the Eggs Royale (with good poached eggs) and smoked salmon. Service was somehow busy but inefficient at the same time - we watched lots of staff doing not a lot as our breakfasts cooled and congealed on a large tray before eventually reaching the table. So, a mixed bag. Feels like it should be breakfast of the style offered by a really good hotel, but doesn't deliver. Panto was fantastic.

Mixed bag really. Would I return? No. Food was the best part I have to say it was really nice food and decent price for the Heritage menu. But… the snooty and unwelcoming front of house woman was bordering on rude. Didn’t even smile. Seated us as far away from the main restaurant into a corner full of empty tables but sat us literally on top of the only table there - to the point i had to ask the diners to remove their coats from the bench in order for me to sit (almost on top of them). We waited an age to order drinks and finally when the wine arrived it was halfway through our starter. As soon as we finished our starter it was whipped away within seconds and replaced with our mains. After that we were so full we asked for a 5 min wait before ordering desert and was told they needed the table ‘but didn’t want to rush us’ so can we order or not. They only offered us still or sparkling , chose still then saw that every other table was given for free a carafe of tap water. Put 13.5% standard service charge on the bill which I reduced to 10% which was more than generous. Shame. Had high hopes but like I say food was tasty - if you eat quick!

£20.95 set for starter and main. We ordered 4 sets to share. We ordered a chicken chimichurri, which I didn't know was just chopped tomato with some sad brown avocado. The menu did not describe the chopped tomato. The steak was pounded so thinly it was barely there, and the curry was SWEET??? Curry is not meant to taste like a sugared drink. Starters of the chicken skewers and tempura were not bad. A lot of pickled radish was given, but overall the tempura was fried perfectly crisp, and a good flavour and char on the chicken skewers. Waitress ignored us for the first 20 minutes when we were ready to order, and after the food arrived, did not come to check on us at all. Atmosphere of the lighting and decor was great. That was the only nice thing. I will never come back to this establishment again.

On our short overnight visit to London for work. We stayed in Tottenham court rd and decided to stop off for breakfast on our day of departure to the Ivy in Tottenham Court rd/soho. Arriving at 8:45am to be abruptly told that they didnt open until 9. We decided to stand in the lobby for and wait. During our 10 min wait and to be passed by a few members of staff and the receptionist standing behind the desk. Not one person engaged or made us feel welcome. Never even looked up to communicate. I popped to see what was next door and entered a venue called Jackie’s. They opened from 7am and the welcome was amazing. We are currently sitting enjoying the most amazing atmosphere and hospitality. Thank you Ivy for allowing us to find an alternative venue that welcomes their customers.

I dined at Ivy Soho for Valentine’s dinner and paid £126 for what was genuinely one of the most disappointing dining experiences I’ve had in London. The starter was an overly acidic salad served with the smallest fried scallops I’ve ever seen — completely underwhelming and poorly balanced. For the main, I ordered cod, which arrived extremely chewy and unpleasant to eat. After sending it back, I was given fried chicken with a fried egg — something you would expect from a casual diner, not a Valentine’s set menu at this price point. It was frankly embarrassing. When that was replaced again, the sea bass that arrived was somehow even worse. While the staff were polite and did attempt to resolve the situation, the reality is that you are paying for the food — and the food was consistently below standard. The atmosphere also didn’t help; our seating area felt cramped and poorly arranged, which added to the overall disappointment. For a restaurant charging premium prices, especially for a Valentine’s dinner, this was extremely poor value for money. I would expect much better from a venue of this reputation.

Absolutely appalling service from start to finish. No smile or greeting at the door by the concierge. He was the same when he led us to a dingy table near the till. When we left he didn't smile or ask us how our meal was.We were the only customers each time. Not sure why he's a concierge! Bad start that just got worse. The waiter was completely inexperienced he acted almost shy in coming and interacting at our table. He didn't ask us anything just waited for us to speak. Didn't introduce the dishes. Literally plonked them on the table from around the till. Clearly bad table service training. Nobody came to our table to ask us how the foid was or if we needed anything. A chicken sweker starter had to be returned for my daughter as it was overcooked and dry. When trying to get the attention of the four other staff as they walked by they would look and then purposely turn away. The resturant had max 25-30 customers at the time and 7 plus staff. The food on the set menu was mediocre not well cooked or conceived in any way! The whole experience was awful from start to finish a total waste of money. The decor is in need of an update. At least at Ivy Asia you have beautiful surroundings when the service is bad! The Ivy is totally overhyped! Dont waste your money there if you have a palate and want good service!
