The bagels are delicious I would highly recommend popping by for a bite. Don’t expect the service to be great it isn’t. But they do get your food to you quickly and it never disappoints. While presentation isn’t a strong point at the end of the day the bagels always hit the spot. I would recommend the Bagel Salad, Turkey Bacon and Avocado club, and the Lemon Pepper Tomato.
Onion bagel was crusty, rich onion aroma + generous garlic cream cheese. So so good.

However, I still strongly recommend Sam's if the location is convenient for you. Edit: this is once again the 2nd best bagel place in LA, because Brooklyn Bagel is permanently closed. Well played, Sam.
Bagel was unreal in size and taste. One sandwich was easily two meals. Prices aren't bad considering. Got take out, but the area looked very busy so plan accordingly for parking.

I was feeling a little nostalgic today as I was trying to recreate a Sam’s Bagel at home. I had all the same ingredients but sadly, it wasn’t the same. There’s something about the way their bagels taste. The consistency and texture are perfect and the cream cheese is so good and creamy. Yes, they're pricey but I’ll gladly pay the price as the quality and taste are worth it. FYI, rent is also expensive in Larchmont. You’re paying for the scenery as you sit out on the patio and enjoy your bagel while people watching. Throughout the years I’ve seen a lot of celebrities pass by which is always fun. The bagels are huge too. You can eat half for breakfast and the other half for lunch. For those of you writing bad reviews, you deserve Noah’s Bagels. That’s more your speed for the types of things you’re complaining about. The owner has always been very friendly to me but if you’re a jerk, he’s not going to appease you. I’m ok with that. He’s more of a New York type of guy so it’s not going to be all smiles and “I live California and I’m cheery because I’m stoned” kind of customer service. I really miss Sam’s Bagels. I live in Texas now and my first stop when I visit LA is always Sam’s Bagels.
The blt bagel was fantastic but the blueberry one with strawberry cream cheese was a bit bad.
This New Yorker gives this bagel place 5 stars. The bagels have a great buttery consistency mixed with the right amount of dough and salt. The flavors are always on point and the the no frills of the shop reinforces that bagels are supposed be unpretentious and good. If you want overpriced, small, flavorless, bougie instagramable bagels go elsewhere, there are a lot of them in LA, but not here.

I really do wish Sam’s Bagels was open later, but every-time i’m in the area in the morning, you know I get myself a sausage egg & cheese. Great prices, they make it fast, and an incredible start to the morning.
The staff is friendly and the bagles with strawberry cream cheese are delicious. it’s good for brunch.

i'm from NJ and I rarely eat bagels in LA but Sam's bagel and lox hit the spot and was a good value.
May be the best Bagels I have ever had. Also the atmosphere and customer service was great. In fact while I was sitting there a former regular came in and placed a large order. He had moved to Pasadena CA but still made the trek to get his fix. Great place. The egg salad sandwhich on a cheese and onion bagel was amazing. Also it was loaded with fresh vegetables. Next time we are in CA we will stop by.
great bagels for a good price (extra plus for a reasonable cup o joe). I always feel put on the spot when putting in my order but it makes you think with your GUT and pick exactly what you want. also their lox schemer is prob some of the best ive had anywhere. shoutout. YES I know this is the donut emoji but there are no other circular objects that are similar to bagels that recreate my experience

I also got a iced coffee that was delish!

Simply the best toasted sesame bagel with cream cheese I’ve had! Including comparison with a few big hit east coast bagel shops. The bagel is fresh, nicely toasted, covered with sesame seeds, chewy and soft on the inside with crispy edges on the outside. Just the right amount of cream cheese sandwiched in between!

It’s so hard to find solid bagels in LA, and Sam’s bagels have a really nice texture. This place was really quick and the staff was friendly. A little hard to get to on the weekends. But I got the garlic bagel with lemon pepper & tomato and chive cream cheese. Would definitely come back to try the lox!

Sausage egg and cheese bagel is good. If you don't get the sausage, it will taste bland, so add some salt or hot sauce or something. Bagels are generally good here when fresh, however, the cream cheese here is not good, tastes like tangy-preservative grocery store cream cheese. For better cream cheese go to La Brea Bagel Co.

As a Brooklyn native with 34 years of bagel experience, I hold high standards for my bagel joints. Sam's Bagels on Larchmont was my latest stop, hoping to find that authentic taste I've been missing. **Pros:** - Generous portions; the bagel was satisfyingly heavy. - Toasted to perfection; they nailed my request. - Overall, a decent lunch experience. **Cons:** 1. The bagel lacked integrity, with a crust prone to falling apart. 2. The everything bagel missed the mark without the essential large grains of sea salt. 3. The smoked whitefish lacked sufficient smokiness and creamy texture. 4. Subpar tomatoes and lettuce choices, skimping on red onions. 5. The bagel lacked the authentic flavor I crave. While taste is subjective, I've tried various bagel spots in Hollywood, and Hanks in Burbank reigns supreme in emulating the true New York bagel experience. In conclusion, Sam's Bagels on Larchmont didn't quite hit the mark for me. However, I respect their efforts and acknowledge that taste preferences vary. For now, I'll be heading back to Hanks for my bagel fix.

It looks cute and quaint but honestly super mid. I love bagel sandwiches but this was so unflavorful. I order a breakfast sandwich with a jalapeño bagel and the jalapeño’s on the bagel were super tiny bits, barely tasted them. My bagel was honestly 80% egg and it seemed like it wasn’t seasoned, very bland. I got bacon as my protein and it was honestly overpowered by the amount of egg. Maybe I didn’t order the right thing or maybe this order was just an outlier but from my experience, I wouldn’t go again. Id rather take Noahs bagels a few stores away instead.

Both me and my husband are vegetarian and they put lox on our bagels. The first time I’ve tasted fish in over 10 years. Absolutely unacceptable! Only realized once we got home. Every other part of the order was right so I’m besides myself trying to figure out why they added lox. Never going again. I’m so angry!!

This is heavily concerning as this is not a small piece of plastic and it made it’s way inside the bagel. I can imagine how bad their health standards must be for this to happen. I most definitely won’t be back. I’ll just stick to Bagel Broker which has never done me wrong. The only reason I’m giving this place a 2 star and not a 1 star is because of the value for the bagel. I went in thinking I was going to get a delicious warm bagel with a little cream cheese. Unfortunately that wasn’t the case, first off I work in customer service and it was not welcoming when I walked in I received this bagel and neither were toasted as I asked and this was not light cream cheese, I had my hopes up and was sadly dissatisfied and disappointed.
USED to be good - NOT anymore. Do not recommend. They changed something in the recipe for their bagels and now it just tastes and smells like bread. No longer “authentic” bagels! I drive a long way for their bagels…not anymore. Used to live just outside NYC and know what a bagel should taste like - THESE DON’T. Looks like a bagel BUT same taste as a bagel from the supermarket. Save your time and money!
I spent $9 on an everything bagel with lox, it had 2 slices of extra watery lox. And the everything bagel was flavorless with only poppyseeds and onion. Disappointed with high price and low quality.
The food is great and they are one of my favorite bagel places in the area. When I order from them online my food is wrong probably 75% of the time. It’s a shame because, again, the bagels are great. But it’s almost never what I ordered. I called about the issue once and the manager said that “he can’t control what happens with the people making the food.” It was a wild response. Go in person. Never ever order online.
they’ve got everything bagels, they’ve got cream cheese, and I know they have bacon because it’s on one of their menu options i don’t want. I just want an everything bagel with cream cheese and bacon, and no matter what delivery service I use there is no option to custom make that sandwhich. It’s a pretty basic request: “everything bagel with cream cheese and bacon” but if I choose make my own sandwich, the toppings are things people would never want on a bagel. Lettuce? Really?
Presentation was sloppy and not appealing. They gave me the wrong bread. And put the correct bread on my moms bagel. The guy taking orders was too quick and too quick rush us out and take the next order. That’s not how a business is run And especially since I’m paying 21.19$ for two bagels and for horrible service. Will not come back!!

I did ask if they can give me a half empty bagel and the guy Told me they were all like that. It was so bitter and burnt It felt like I was eating burnt food no taste of the eggs or the meat. And right now I have a sharp pain and stomach cramps. This is disappointing. The guy didn’t even care when I told him that it tasted so bad and it’s so burnt. I’m hoping the pain goes away because this is a waste of money and health risk.
