Tried a lot of different drinks! I'm not a fan of banana flavor but the banana in the matcha and the honeycomb milk tastes quite subtle, and it's pretty fragrant. I also got the Vietnamese coffee frappe, which was more of a slushie because it was so foamy/liquid-y, rather than icy which I prefer. The liquid gold (oolong tea with cream) and lychee black tea had great tea flavor as well. Every drink was not overly sweet (some had sweetness adjustment to 20% or below). A good after-dinner treat if you're in the Sawtelle area!

The Baseline

The Baseline: For bubble tea cafes the drinks must have the proper temperature for the drink, suitably firm tapioca pearls, and the drink must be quality. Food: Teaspoon is a great chain to pick up your boba. I ordered the Ube Vietnamese coffee that had a good balance of strong/sweet. Service: The staff was not on-point on speaking with me but performed the most important task of preparing my order correctly. I used the mobile app for ordering and to earn rewards but it was slow to set up and process on the initial setup. Hopefully both issues will improve on a return visit. Ambience: Fun seating area with good spacing and there are games to play.

Wonderful ice tea for a hot summer day. I ordered the Strawberry sangria with a titanium glass bamboo top. I was greeted upon arrival and my order was taken. There is free WiFi and card games to play while you enjoy your drink and pastries. There is cute phrase.on the wall. This is a welcoming place to work from your computer/tablet. The staff is friendly and fast at serving a delicious drink. Apple Pay, and debit/credit cards are accepted here. Use the app to make your next order and receive reward points. Contactless orders are also available via kiosk orders.

Friendly staff, fast service, cute atmosphere. Classic Thai Tea tasted great. Honey boba was out of stock, so I had brown sugar boba instead, which was okay. I usually prefer more chewy ones, but they were more jello-y.

Came here 1:22 pm on a Saturday! No line when my sister and I walked in. I ordered their classic House Milk Tea, regular 100% sweetness with boba. I wanted to try their honey boba, but the staff member operating the cashier informed me they were currently making it and that it wouldn't be ready for another 30 minutes. So I chose to try the topping brown sugar crystal instead... and she actually gave me the topping free without charge because of that! That was nice of them. I LOVED my drink. And no, it's not because I got the brown sugar crystal toppings free of charge. The House Milk Tea was not out of this world amazing quality but it's not cheap quality either, it is good!--sweet but not overly sweet, light hints of the tea, and the brown sugar crystals were not too sweet and actually satisfied my boba topping cravings. I didn't taste too much milk or cream... it was just the perfect balance for me. I'm pretty boring and always only order house milk teas. I personally enjoyed Teaspoon's House Milk Tea more that Coco's, Noble Tea, Volcano and YiFang Taiwanese Fruit Tea down the street. I would rank this as my #1 new favorite house milk tea drink in Sawtelle. Hopefully it tastes just as good the next time I order it. I definitely will be coming back!!

So good 🤤 I ordered Taro Lover, Flamingo and Thai tea! Real ingredients in drinks I love it so much this is my new drink place 😄 the straws are amazing too they aren’t plastic. So many drinks and flavors they even have macaroons I have to try next time! This is an amazing place you will love! I finally found something I like and the guy that works there is so nice ! YOU NEED TO COME HERE!!!!

it's a couple blocks away from the main hub of sawtelle, which was nice 'cause we didn't have to battle the crowd and parking. i like that they offered a lot of unique drinks (like coffee with ube) and since i was not in the mood for a slush-y or overtly sweet type of drink, i ordered the lady bug which is an iced drink of passion fruit with kumquat. i really am not a fan of passion fruit, but the drink called my name. i'm super happy i tried it, cause i ended up loving it. so much so that i weny back a couple of days later to have another one.

One if the best boba places I have ever been too, very unique drinks, great tasting, and fast service! I love how there’s junks of like taro cake inside the drink. Would totally recommend this place!

I love their liquid gold! Teaspoon has pretty solid wifi but limited parking and tables. So, if you're hoping to study here just come earlier in the day/afternoon. The drinks are consistently tasty and teaspoon has become my go to spot in Sawtelle for boba!

Went on January 1st! They were open and everything was good but the tea tasted a bit old - we almost went in around closing time so understandable.

Both were good and not overly sweet or bitter. The staff was friendly, the shop was clean and prices were fair. If you need a boba fix, this place will do.

I might try 50% sweetness next time, but it's great even without. The staff was great. They were helpful and knowledgeable. The place is cute. I like the aesthetic. They have a points/reward system, but they are transitioning to a new app. The old one had issues. For now, the only way you can get points/credit for your purchase, is if you purchase through the app. They cannot use your phone number or email to look up your account at the cash register/if you order on sight. I ordered the Jasmine oat milk cream tea with brown sugar boba. Nice jasmine flavor, but extremely watery (even with less ice). Scant boba, with mostly broken pieces. I guess I've been spoiled by Bobateaque (highly recommended).

I don’t dislike them, but if you’re going to play songs where the singers are acting out grunts of agony or misery, please don’t play it to the point where I can feel it reverberating through my seat. Had to keep my headphones at 75% volume just so I could try to focus. Overall really uncomfortable experience, don’t know if I would visit again.

The colors completely off, this is milk tea yet it looks like coffee. The tea flavor is way to prominent too, its just not good overall.

The artistry of a good cup of boba tea lies in its color, aroma, milk, and the sweet, perfectly chewy boba, crafting the perfect cup of boba milk tea. When I saw the color of the tea, I was disappointed! I had no idea what to call this cup of brown juice. In my daughter's words, it's brown water and boba. This cup is a complete mess! In spite of the fact that the tea dominates everything, the taste is bland and unfragranced, and the cup looks more like iced cocoa than milk tea due to the lack of milk in it. The tea I ordered was house milk tea, not brown water. The jasmine green tea with milk was slightly better, but the lack of the tea's fragrance is concerning. The lack of balance in the flavors and the absence of the expected milk tea experience made the visit disappointing. It's clear that a good boba tea relies on the harmony of its elements, and this place failed to deliver.

I’m usually a big fan of this place but today the music was extremely loud and made it hard to work. Even with noise-cancelling headphones, the heavy hard rock was distracting. When I asked staff to turn it down, they said a blunt no in a not very friendly way. They changed the track, but it wasn’t much better.
