Great place to get a good burger. Every time I return to lubbock it's my first stop.

Drove by this place for years and finally stopped in. Burger and tots were excellent.

Best burgers in town. I've been going there for over 20years and never had a bad experience. Great food,good prices and great service.

We just happened to drive by this place, and decided to stop in for a Hot Pastrami sandwich, cheeseburger and chili cheese fries. The food was very very good. I would definitely go back.

First time I have been to Pete's and their food is awesome. The burgers aren't your regular size, they're big and a ordered of tater tots is 3 - 4 times larger than any other place you go to. Prices are very reasonable especially for not just the portion of food you get but the quality of the food. It's very good and I look forward to going back and highly recommend this place place to everyone.

5 Stars all the way! Good People and Great Food is a hard combination to find. As a Trucker this is my one stop that I make time for every week. Truckers can park directly across the street where there's a dirt lot. Best place in Lubbock to eat.

I order from them all the time. The guy that always takes care of us is awesome. Great service. The food is well worth the price. As for the ones complaining about the prices, honestly its going up in every restaurant, even grocery stores. Keep up the good work Pete's!!

So good! Patty was bigger than the big bun and the mallard reaction was perfection. Veggies fresh and toasted bun! Fries unremarkable but good and my husband couldn’t resist ordering the pastrami in the sign out front. He loved it! Driving through Lubbock or staying awhile to check out Buddy Holly, make time for lunch at Pete’s!

Went to Pete’s for some late night burgers on the way home from an event. Burgers were delicious as always and really hit the spot. You can also never go wrong with the tator tots!! Yum!

I have been here almost 3 years and have yet to find a good burger joint until tonight. The food was hot and fresh. I love that they use real meat on the chilli cheese fries and not the chilli sauce. Been looking for something close to home and this filled that gap tonight. Friendly lady in the window as well as the gentleman who gave us our order. We will definitely be back.

Surprisingly good. If you've ever been to lubbock all buildings here look like holes in the wall. But this is truly a gem. They're kind and nice. I got a pastrami and chili fries. This is as good as some east coast joints.

It's been a long time since I've ordered a colossal Burger a colossal Burger is a hamburger made to order with pastrami on it I haven't had one in a long time and it was delicious and I needed some ranch which usually cost an additional amount but they gave it to me for free it was just a really good burger and the onion rings and fries are delicious too

We've driven past Pete's many times. On this particular evening, I needed a regular burger and one without a bun. The staff was friendly and the food was excellent. My son devoured his burger, I put mine on gluten free bread and two orders of fries was so much, we could have split one order. I'm really glad we finally stopped there. I highly recommend Pete's burgers!!

Not sure if it is the best in town, however it is definitely the best burger that I have had in Lubbock, and Lubbock has some really good burgers, so this is high praise. Quality fresh meat and ingredients, and they will make it to your specifications, but the standard way they make them is fantastic. I added grilled onions, and they know how to make grilled onions, unlike some other places. No inside dining, but there are quite a few outside tables, so you don't have to eat in your car unless you want. This place is definitely where you should stop for a terrific old school burger.

Pete's burgers are awesome, reasonable price

It's not in the best part of town. But it is a great location that is easy to get to. It would be nice if it had a bigger area to eat or an inside area would be great. That being said it has great food. I love the burgers. The fires, tots, and onion rings are some of the best in town. I have only had one bad meal in 5 or 6 years of going.

I found a great place to eat my pastrami burger here in Lubbock. I had Crown 👑 burgers in Salt Lake City and Denver (same Greek family). Also, Pete's Kitchen in Denver (a sit down restaurant serving American and Greek food).

Nobody beats this drive in! The food is always fresh, fast and delicious and the service is phenomenal! I will continue to travel across town and eat here! 100/10

Surprisingly really yummy. There is nothing too special or fancy about this place, but if you are looking for a quick, simple, old-fashioned style burger, this is the spot. They prepare the orders pretty quickly, and the prices are very reasonable. It was definitely not the best burger I have ever had, but it was still tasty and satisfying. I enjoyed it and felt full and content after eating.

So good! I’d post a photo but….the phone did not eat first. This burger was exactly what I was craving!! Tasted like it was cooked in a backyard on a 70 degree day. No grease just nice and clean. I called ahead so the experience was quick! In the 3 minutes I was there I encountered three different staff members who all greeted me with a smile

When they are on, one of the best burgers....HOWEVER, when they aren't on... they're still pretty good! ****EDIT**** I went today 8-11-22. He handed me my order and said..."Mr. Marc... those onion rings are fresh... and they were! Hot, crunchy, and delicious. There's nothing worse than soggy rings. The batter didn't fall off when you bite into them. Most importantly.... kind, friendly people in a world where businesses don't think customer service is important. Thank you!

Just a little drive off the highway is a much better burger place than a chain fast food place. The sides of onion rings and tator tots are about twice of what is a typical serving side. My burger was very tasty. But my family got sick soon after eating their meals. There was no obvious public restroom on site. It's pretty much just a drive up window. You then find a place to park next to one of the available picnic tables. Once your meal is ready for pick up, they call you on the loudspeaker. So keep your window cracked open to listen for your order number.

Food was good. Order was ready fairly fast and done fresh. My only complaint in the heavier Hispanic woman who took my order had fairly poor customer service skills.

Good burgers, crispy fries and tots, burgers are loaded with veggies. Their large isn't their biggest cup, they have a jumbo apparently. They'll get you taken care of quickly as well, even if the drive through is packed. Only issues was our group of 6 received about 3 napkins total.

A 1 of a kind that you have got to visit. Food was good and a little different from the typical fast food. No indoor dining, wait in your car after the drive through! Better prices too !!

The burgers are the best! If your looking for a well rounded deliciously greasy burger here’s the place to go. But that’s all I would suggest ordering, I’ve tried so many other options from their menu and they’re not that great.

Food was very good. I had there pastrami sandwich the proportions was huge. Friendly staff. Kinda takes a minute to figure out how you order than park and wait foe your number to be called than go back to the window. Little pricey but good food and they do it well

Had the opportunity to try this place while on a trip, this place is worth a go for the ambience alone. Cool, vintage vibe and wide open floor plan with live music. The burgers are honestly quite average but the cheese bites appetizer is a MUST TRY. I also recommend the chicken fried steak, and Mac N' Cheese as one of your two sides. Both were excellent and made the stop worth every penny.

I got the cheeseburger with fries basket. In my opinion it was not too bad but it could use a little more flavor. I've been to a lot of burger places and it would probably be top 15 out of them all. Fries were very good. Didn't have to wait long and price was about right. All in all I would recommend it.

The service was excellent . The fries were like cardboard. My cheeseburger wasn't bad at all. But I wouldn't run back for one. Love their sweet tea.

Burgers were great. Order taker could have been nicer, but still good. Received medium drinks and charged for large but whatevs.

Pretty decent pricing with good food, nice staff, but I'm not going above 3 stars when your employees aren't wearing masks during a pandemic. It shows deliberate negligence for safety and sanitation which are a requirement for serving food.

Regular burger should be considered kids burger and the price was outrageous for what you get and you would expect more tots for the price but the food tasted great and will eat there a few times more before I give my overall experience

Mixed review for this location on east 34th St. Double cheese burger was amazing just like Bills in east Lubbock back in the 70s. Sweet tea great. That's where it stopped. No napkins in bag also fries not at all fresh. Say under heat lamp to long or yesterday fries heated back up in microwave one of the two. Dried out not fresh at all. Very crunchy to point my break a tooth crunchy. If I return I'll bring my own fries.

I ordered the jumbo cheeseburger with fries and a large sprite. The CB was less tasty. It was made how I asked. There were actually more fries, and they were okay. I asked for a little ice due to my ride home. However, the full cup of ice made it nice and watery. The lady who assisted me was professional and pleasant.

I have heard about Pete’s but never been because it’s on the other side of I-25. I happened to be in the neighborhood so I made it a point to go there. We got a pastrami sandwich and a jumbo hamburger with fries. The hamburger was great tasted like the old hamburgers. The fries were a little skimpy but good. The pastrami sandwich was disappointing. The pastrami was hard and dry.

Over the years their food has really went down so have their service they used to be reasonable now they're overpriced for their food their chili is like watered down with no flavor don't think I'll be back

I'm not a fan of the burgers here but I do like the loaded burritos. Overall I could do without but if your hungry and don't take kindly to long lines this is the place to park and have a speedy pickup.

Food is delicious until I got a drink from there it was a strawberry limeade and I drank all the drink well I took the lid off to start eating the ice and guess what I saw in my cup a dead fly. 🤢 I was like omg wth I just drank all that drink and that fly was dead in the ice not cool honestly this just ruined it and will not be returning.

Would not order a salad from here! The salad was $8 and comes in a small container when you can get a bigger salad at jumbo joes for the exact same price!

I was very disappointed in the quality of the food for its price. My boyfriend had ordered a cheese burger and got a regular hamburger that was cold and had no flavor what’s so ever. I on the other hand ordered a chicken fried steak and it was very bland, the green beans literally tasted like water and the salad I could’ve made myself. Overall I will never go back.

Extremely rude staff. I called to place a pick up order the lady on the phone (the cook) had an attitude. I called in to see if they were accepting orders due to it being almost closing time (it was 9:40) I was told yes. I tried to place my order but that didn’t go so well. After painfully placing my order (painful due to her attitude) I was told “You better come on because we’re about to close.” I was fully aware of that which is why I asked if they were still taking orders. The order wasn’t intricate at all very simple could’ve been placed within a matter of seconds, but I had to constantly repeat myself because she didn’t want to be bothered. Throughout the entire conversation she was extremely rude. I was so fed up with her lack of professionalism I told her to cancel my order and hung up. This used to be my goto burger spot but the service is terrible.

If i could give a ZERO i would. I will not be back and wouldnt recommend this place to anyone! Me and my family ordered food and a man came to the window and said “why do yall have to make your order so difficult” and proceeds to go back and fourth and then just shuts the window in our face! If this is how you treat customers just CLOSE DOWN!

Hamburger was good, but the cheese dog awful and the service was terrible. Couldn’t take a proper order and had to repeat multiple times. They also painted a bench without labeling it wet paint or setting it aside so no one sits there. I sat on it and ruined my pants and also watched two others do the same while I tried to warn them. When informed the lady didn’t apologize or anything and just asked if I couldn’t tell the paint was wet….

Was excited to get home and eat my favorites from Pete’s. The order I received was totally wrong. Decide to go ahead and eat my chili cheese fries and found a GRAY hair in my food. Yuck🤮 From now on Bonus Burgers it is.

Don't get me wrong I love the chili cheese burgers. But I went there to pick up an order and I saw this lady that works there I don't know if she's the cook or not but she was standing up there digging all in her ears looking at the wax playing with it I couldn't eat the food so I didn't buy it. But before I saw that I love going to Pete's. I'm not saying don't go but go at your own risk.

I visited this establishment back in December of 2021 and ordered a double cheeseburger with bacon. Bacon was THICK and overall a delicious burger. Cooked perfectly and juicy. Tator tots were spot on. Revisited just this week, ordered the exact same thing. Worst food I ever put in my mouth. Nasty dry patties with no flavor and over cooked tator tots. Very displeased with this go around.

On August 3rd 2019 around 3:00pm I ordered a cheese burger combo Sprite for the drink. When we received the order and I made it to my destination the burger buns we're hard, the meat had so much oil in it look like someone tried to reheat the meat in the deep fryer. The food was so gross it was not eaten. I didn't have time to take it back or go back but I would like a refund if possible.

I used to love this restaurant. But I'm not sure when they decided that they could just start charging you whatever they feel like. I went and bought an item that cost $5.50 I bought an item that costs $6 and I bought an item that cost $4.50. after arguing with the manager he still could not explain to me why I was charged$20. They also don't tell you that they charge you $3 to use your debit card. You also need to double-check that what you ordered is what you paid for because I apparently was wrong up for two drinks that I did not receive or order. I have been coming to this restaurant for decades and after today I will never return.

I called and placed an order, and when my daughter got there to pick it up, the staff was super rude when she let them know that there were items missing. The owner has a horrible attitude and argues with customers. I know what I ordered! It wouldnt be such a big deal its just their customer service sucks 100%. If you don’t like your job then quit!

Twice in a week Messed up our order first time I ordered jumbo bacon cheese burger with grilled jalapeño jumbo drink they gave me a reg no grilled jalapeño and a small drink wife ordered hers with sweet tea the gave her coke she don't drink soda we told the lady and all she said was well thats what the cook gave me,2nd time I ordered the same and I got a reg combo again but this time they put no cheese and no bacon but at least they got the drink right this time and gave me a large drink

I understand closing a restaurant sucks I've done it lots of times! And yes this last customers suck...I can 30 min before close waited 20 mins to be handed a completely wrong order..... How do you mix up fried mushrooms and a stick finger combo with chili cheese fries and a chili dog come on now!

I ordered a burger and tots with an unsweet tea a little before noon today. When I got back to work the burger was soggy and the tots tasted like old grease . Then in the bottom of my cup was all the black slime like the tea urn never gets cleaned. I tried to call and talk to them and kept getting hung up on and now will not even answer the phone. So sad it use to be a good burger joint but I will not be stopping there anymore.

Don't eat here. Dollar store burritos spruced up with garbage. Definitely find somewhere else to eat Believe me you will be very disappointed when you receive your food that's very small portions. And taste horrible. definitely find a more honest business.

This was the lettuce that was put of my burger. Mostly core! I wasn't asking for my money back was just going to let them know but when the manager got on the phone he wouldn't give me his name which I already knew it cuz the lady who answered the phone was yelling out his name PAUL they want to speak to a Manager he goes to tell me that they been selling burgers all day and nobody has complained upset me more cuz like I said I wasn't asking for my money back! Very disappointed on how the situation was handled as I also work in food service. $25 dollars down the drain. Lost my appetite.
