A lovely afternoon tea. Highly recommend for a luxurious experience. The staff went above and beyond to make my birthday celebrations special.

Had a gorgeous afternoon tea with Prosecco. Staff are welcoming and friendly and the surroundings are very stylish and comfortable. Lots of variety of food and all freshly made. Highly recommended.

Delicious wines and food. Stopped by for quick lunch with a friend after spa and we both didn’t want to leave.

The gentleman behind the bar couldnt have done enough to help when I asked for a certain type of wine! He went out of his way and even added little bits of fruit to make it sweeter :) Amazing service

We had afternoon tea in this lovely spot and it was exactly what we were looking for as Americans traveling to Manchester.

Great food, drinks and service

My boyfriend and I went for my birthday and it was honestly the highlight of out trip! Mollie and the rest of the staff were delightful, they were all so helpful with recommendations and made the whole experience enjoyable and comfortable. The drinks and food were perfect and the decor is beautiful! Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing evening.

Absolutely fantastic experience. Ambience is very cozy and welcoming, drinks are strong but sweet and the bartenders really went out their way to make us feel welcome and comfortable. Molly was great, and Kay showed us a card magic trick which was very entertaining! Will comeback again.

Came here for afternoon tea while visiting from the US. We had never had afternoon tea before and the staff was very friendly, and helped us choose which teas we might enjoy. They were not wrong. The food was delicious too. I honestly have never really enjoyed scones, but these were delicious. Then again, I'm from the US, so maybe I'd just never had proper scones before. Either way the staff was wonderful, and we thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon tea.

Visited for my birthday as we just wanted some fizz in a relaxed environment. Drinks were great, staff were fab, and it really was a lovely place to meet friends for a few hours before dinner. REVIEW UPDATE (03/11/2024): Response from the venue clearly suggests either AI is writing "thank you for your response" or the employee accidentally copy and pasted the wrong stock response. To suggest next time I should visit the venue the review was about, before I have dinner in the place I never ate at, makes me a little bit worried... I'm still keeping the 5-star review, as drinks in The Library Champagne Bar were fab... as for Peter Street Kitchen, no idea; I've never been there.

Our room wasn't ready when we checked in so we were given drinks token for The Library. We was welcomed to the bar by Salvatore who hosted us and guided us through which cocktails to pick. Me and my friend are so indecisive but Salvatore helped us greatly and nothing was too much trouble. We told him what we fancied in terms of taste and he produced the tastiest most delicious cocktail, that was perfect and what we had in mind to a tee. We had to come back for more. A true craftsmen of cocktails. Salvatore is a really gem! We didn't eat but did see the food come out and it looked amazing. If we hadn't already booked dinner we would have tried the food here. The service was impecable. Definitely worth a try.

I took my mother here for Mothers' Day afternoon tea. The food and beverages were top notch, as was the service. All staff were extremely professional while maintaining a very friendly approach.

Came here for my girlfriends birthday and the drinks/food were outstanding, the decor is classy and warm and the service is phenomenal, mollie and the rest of the staff are so friendly and welcoming and are very helpful when it comes to drinks recommendations 10/10 would recommend and definitely coming back.

Lovely food and drink. Superb staff. I take away a point for some of the music choices. It at times sounded like generic hectic pop. To me this bar is classy and a place to savour a full sensory experience. Perhaps cliché, but classic big band jazz might work? Oh, please folks, take a moment to observe the delightful French bartender. There's something mesmerising about watching him work. His dexterity and grace are wonderful to behold, and some of his movements remind of a performing magician or similar.

We have just had an amazing dining experience at The Library. The food was delicious, the service efficient and a special mention for Edoardo who was very attentive and made sure with my food allergies were accommodated. We will definitely be returning!

We had a champagne afternoon tea here, we arrived early and the staff were accommodating of that. The food is all of a high standard. Staff are all really friendly however they do feel a little unorganised and perhaps not as attentive as you would expect. Nevertheless we would return for another afternoon tea for sure.

The Afternoon Tea is great fun, sparkling wine was good and the sandwiches, scones and cakes are absolutely amazing. The cakes are some of the best I’ve had, so light and the match of flavours are amazing, not too sweet.

Visited for an afternoon tea, which was a mixed bag. All the food was delicious and it offered a large collection of different treats. When considering only the food, the place was amazing. However, tea was awful. It was brewed totally wrongly, like most British places seem to do. Don't let the menu fool you. They might have good leaves, but if brewed badly it doesn't help at all. A green jasmine tea was bitter as hell. Almost undrinkable. Also, service was otherwise friendly, but I had to wait ages for the bill. They had also added a 'discretionary service charge' to the bill, without prior warning or mention in the menu. Also, they charged a fortune for still water (price not in the menu, of course). I felt like I was scammed. I left disappointed despite enjoying the treats themselves.

Took a booking via a third party site and then cancelled it a few days later, saying the availability I was shown was 'in error'. Now struggling to get a new booking elsewhere because things have filled up in the meantime. I understand there's a degree of complexity in interfacing with external platforms (I research this for a living) but it's disappointing nonetheless. If you can't ensure reliable data sharing then keep your operations in house.

We had an afternoon tea, the members of staff were so lovely and the food was good but they charged us 12.50 each for a service charge and put it on the bill and I felt quite uncomfortable and would never ask to take it off but it cos 2 people 74 pound which is really expensive for an afternoon tea especially considering I got it as a deal.
