⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Pat’s Place – New Braunfels, TX Pat’s Place is a true New Braunfels classic — and after our visit, it’s easy to see why! The burgers are absolutely fantastic, second only to The Hideaway in our book. Perfectly cooked, juicy, and full of flavor — they easily beat out Muck & Fuss and Tin Top when it comes to taste, quality, and that homemade feel. The service was outstanding — friendly, fast, and genuinely welcoming. You can tell the staff takes pride in what they do and really cares about their guests. If you’re craving a great burger and warm hometown hospitality, Pat’s Place should be at the top of your list. We’ll definitely be back!

Great atmosphere, even better chicken fried steak! The food was served hot and fresh! The chicken fried steak plate had REAL mashed potatoes and the best cream gravy anywhere!! The chicken fried steak was tender and flavorful, not a cheap cut full of gristle - yuck! The iced tea was even amazing! I loved the little pitcher left on the table for refills :)

The atmosphere was busy because we came around lunch time, but the food was so rich and delicious. The service was also really great and safe. I truly enjoyed it all as I had to take my leftovers home since the proportions are bigger than expected. Also, the homemade key lime pie was delicious.

$ So glad we finally tried this place. Our server was so sweet and friendly. We tried the Reuben with sweet potato fries🔥 & hamburger with onion rings🤤 Both were on point. Onion rings were so greasy good lol they are cut super thin, so crispy & flaky... Don't think I've ever had some like that before, really good though... It was all good!! We will be back to try other things they have on the menu...I heard the enchiladas were good here. 👍👍

Famous for enchiladas according to local family members. A wide range of menu items from salad to burgers to comfort food to Tex-Mex. They had the lightest, crispiest tortilla chips I have ever had.

Flavor: B+ Service They’ve earned plenty of awards during their 48 years at Pat’s Place… and one of them… you guessed it… is best New Braunfels burger. Obviously I’m obligated to test that out. And it was indeed a good burger. But I wouldn’t call it the best in the city. The patty is juicy and flavorful but (no surprise) I would’ve pulled it off the grill a little sooner. The generous and hearty veggies (which I would normally appreciate) were a little overpowering. And the cheese was a little skimpy. The bun is surely made in-house or locally sourced because it was fresh and perfectly toasted. Overall the flavor comes in at a B+ on this one. The homemade thin onion rings and homemade ranch were the perfect side. And a mini pitcher of tea that comes with your glass is the way to my heart. The atmosphere is full-on Irish pub decorated for St. Patty’s Day with some local memorabilia flare. And while they’re good at burgers - this ain’t no burger place. The menu is a smorgasbord of everything from spaghetti to fried fish to sandwiches to Tex-Mex - and apparently they do it all well. Cheers to Pat’s Place for serving up an award-winning burger among many other things on their all-over-the-place menu for nearly 50 years! #theburgertrail #texasburgers

It was good! Got the chicken salad, burger, and chicken fried chicken. It was all great, except the salsa, lol, but that’s it! Came again, during brunch. The fried mushrooms and onion rings are amazing, the mozz sticks are ok. The breakfast hash was just fine, would not get again. The pancakes were ok. The buffalo chicken sandwich was great, fries were ok.

As evident from the front signage, this establishment has been operational since 1977. Upon entering, one is immediately struck by the enduring ambiance that seamlessly blends past and present, while simultaneously being meticulously maintained and exuding a warm and inviting atmosphere. The restaurant is situated in a prime location, centrally positioned within a park distance. The service provided was both friendly and professional, and the food was promptly delivered and served at an optimal temperature. We will definitely get back to try out their key lime pie. The restaurant features several inviting dining areas, creating an atmosphere of warmth and comfort. We highly recommend visiting and sampling one of the numerous delectable items on their extensive menu. We eagerly anticipate the opportunity to explore new Braunfels.

Pat’s Place in NB is A sweet little diners that just feels like home the moment you walk in. They serve a mix of American and Mexican food and everything I’ve tried so far has been delicious, especially their enchiladas. The atmosphere has that charming small-townish country feel and has great service. My only complaint is that it is quite pricier than some other spots in the area. Other than that, it’s great spot. I also included a photo of the menu.

Your food is great, but unfortunately, your greed isn’t! You finally changed your illegal signs to reflect discount for cash instead of charging the customer credit card fees; but charging $2 for to go silverware that I don’t need, and close to $5 for extra gravy is laughable! You used to be a weekly staple, but no longer. $21 for steak finger lunch with no drink or tip is greedy! Keep cooking great food, though!

We went on a whim and ordered the fried pickles, chicken sandwich, and the shrimp and cod combo. The pickles were good and a generous portion. We get our main dishes and the portions are extremely large. The food is greasy and pretty flavorless. We each only take a few bites before feeling pretty ill so I ask for the check. I express that I’m not very happy with the food and I ask if there’s any way at least one our meals can be comped. The manager comes by and very rudely dismisses our concerns. I even try to emphasize that I understand it’s a local business and I don’t want to cause a stink but she doesn’t listen, offering only to give us a to-go box. We live quite far so that wasn’t an option even if we enjoyed the meal. I paid and left a tip for our waitress but I can’t say I recommend this place whatsoever

The AYCE catfish on Wednesday is fried with the skin still on and not filet off. I found out on my first batch and ordered the 2nd hoping it would be different but nope and when asked for meal replacement they said no since I ate some of the fish, after having to take the skin off to eat it. I payed and had to leave still hungry Response to owner reply: yes I did eat the initial order after peeling the skin off but the catfish was the only thing that I ate the 2nd order is what's shown below and my post is just to inform others that the fish is fried with the skin on. Don't get me wrong the other food is good like CFS and burgers but bringing a third party like comal crawfish that has nothing to do with this, is not only immature but also unprofessional but I wish you and your whole team a Happy New Year 🎊

The management of this restaurant deleted my review on FB after leaving a snarky response and blocking me, so i'm going to make sure everyone has an opportunity to see it. "I was there this evening for the catfish… and left filled with nothing but regret. The two of us ordered the all you can eat catfish after some fried cheese (which was impeccable!) but when the meal arrived, the positive experience left. I’m not sure if the oil was too hot or if of needed to be changed, but the fish was cooked so hard that the outside was near impossible to bite through while the catfish was still uncooked inside. So uncooked that the catfish skin was like a rubber band. The hushpuppies were crispy outside but raw dough in the middle. I enjoyed the coleslaw, so there’s that. We both ate half of one piece each and when the server came back and asked if we wanted more we said no, that we didn’t like it. I showed our server the uncooked fish with rubbery skin and dough hushpuppies”. The response was “yeah- it’s been hit or miss all day”. We clearly did not eat the meal and when the server returned with the bill, we were handed a pass for a free appetizer each and were told “I couldn’t discount it because it was already discounted”, not that I asked for a discount but it would seem a manager perhaps should have come over to speak with us. In fact, THAT would have prevented me from writing this review. So after spending $50 (yes, I still tipped), we left with a few cheese sticks in our bellies and went to Domino’s. We won’t be going back. But it doesn’t seem like that’s a concern to y’all."

went to dinner here on a Saturday evening with a party of seven. We waited around 30 minutes for a table, which was normal because it was quite busy. We ordered our food within 15 minutes of sitting down and it took an hour and 20 minutes for the food to come out for only half the table. All the food was cold and soggy. I also found a hair imbedded in my meatloaf. Once the other half of the table’s food came out It was also cold and soggy (they waited an additional 10 minutes to get their food). One person even requested the server to warm up their food in a microwave because of how cold it was. after the food was taken back to be warmed up, it never got brought back out and they were still charged for the meal (they had to request it be removed from the bill). After Communicating our experience to the manager, she gave the entire table a 15% discount and removed my meatloaf from mine. overall, I Will not be returning to this restaurant and I definitely wouldn’t recommend it especially for a larger party. probably the worst experience I’ve ever had at a restaurant.
