Drive through, got two casera tacos that were absolutely what I needed. Not the best tacos out there but better than any other fast food tacos by a good bit. Refried beans were loaded with lard, which I enjoyed but veggies might want to avoid.

This review will be a bit different from my normal ones as I visited the restaurant. I know, I didn’t pay for delivery for once! Truth be told I needed to rent a couple tools like a post hole digger and an angle grinder and Home Depot is right there. Make a few twists in the parking lot and you end up at Taco Palenque. Good news here is that if you are getting your tires done/fixed Discount Tire is literally 200 feet away or so. Just walk and you are there! Breakfast Tacos can be your delight or any other combo that they offer. Moving along to the actual review… So, I took a few interior photos for a “lay of the land” so to speak, but the salsa bar was the part I thought was the most important. I found that there were some good options to choose from here and everything was clean. Oddly enough I liked combining the two red salsas they offered at about a 60/40 ratio in the little black cup, mixed it, and found it to be just the right amount of heat for the chips, but also acceptable for the breakfast tacos. I like heat though, so I suggest trying what suits you best for the task at hand. Speaking of the task at hand, we must move on to the entrée, which consisted of two breakfast tacos. I chose to get Bacon and Egg and Ham and Egg as my selections this time around as they are often my core choices for breakfast tacos. I took a photo of how the tacos came to me at the table, which is the one wrapped in foil. I then opened each independently to take a couple photos so you could see what you are getting in each taco ingredients and texture wise. I mentioned that this would be a shorter review, so in my usual tradition we enter the “Final Thoughts” phase of this review. I was glad that I stopped by, but, I am biased toward a couple small businesses here in New Braunfels. What I greatly appreciated is that they made the food to order. I can think of many places who just keep a large container of stuff and scoop it in from storage in a hot box. There is always the possibility that I am wrong but being that they used real eggs and not the ones from the carton, I’m going with “The eggs do what they are supposed to do.” I was not quite sure what to think on the tortilla, but it was indeed at least heated through, and it too served its purpose. If you are getting new tires or visiting Home Depot for some things that you need, this place is right there and worth your time. They also have a Drive Thru if that is important to you on your way to the river or the lake.

I was really looking forward to trying the chicken fajita tacos here, but they were a huge letdown. Each taco was disappointingly small, with a dry portion of chicken fajita. At $5.29 per taco, I expected something much better at the very least, a more juicier portion. Definitely not worth the price. There are plenty of places that do fajita tacos right, but unfortunately, this isn’t one of them.

Now if you haveva big young kids filled group... thus might be a great place for a large after soccer group to go. There are Taco Palenque in San Antonio which are restaurants this is NOT. Because the order person was so sweet ... and a guy delivered and then came back for the trays...we can go with a 2.

I've finally decided to give up on all Taco Palenque locations based on how they make their impossible burritos. I LOVE that they offer a vegetarian option, but I HATE how they deliver the end product. It doesn't matter what location you go to, they all do this. They put all of the impossible meat into a single big ball and stuff it in one side of the burrito. They also do this with the avocado. Only the beans and rice are distributed. So you bite into the burrito and you either get a mouthful of avocado or impossible Burger. It's honestly gross. You wouldn't do this with ground beef so why would you treat impossible ground any differently? Not to mention the burrito I got last night had rotten impossible in it from this location. I'm done. Vegans and vegetarians beware...

I love this place but this plate I just bought was the worse I have ever had. The descripcion of the plate is totally different of what I received. I couldn’t eat this baked potato. Half of the ingredients were missing and the cheese, I don’t know what kind of cheese you guys used but I put it in the microwave and not even warm I was able to cut it.
