Opinions de Frenchy Cafe New York
Upon moving to NYC, this coffee stop was in the process of opening up. Since then, and a few years later, it has become a staple in my everyday work life and a gathering place for family and friends to enjoy a cup of coffee or latte. They offer wonderful lemonades for spring and delicious coffee and iced matcha lattes. Mount Sinai employees receive a 10% discount, and you can further discount by paying cash. I have received a few free drinks through their ticket stamps and love the ambiance and kindness of the staff. I highly recommend this place to many!
The best croissant in NYC, and I am originally from France! So you can trust my review, I highly recommend. And the service was excellent, I will go back for sure.
lovely cafe my wife and i have fallen in love with - it's delicious and a great vibe i just rented the space out for a baby shower and it was a tremendously fun time with delicious snacks and drinks the owners are fantastic - highly recommend!
This place is cute. The coffee is delicious. They young lady Perrine was so kind and patient. I told her I couldn't have dairy and she suggested an alternative that was amazing. I had the white hazelnut with coconut milk and dark chocolate ice latte. I also had breakfast sandwich croissant with turkey and egg. The eggs were fluffy which I didn't not like but the sandwich overall was good. Definitely would come back for the coffee and to try one of their delicious pastries !
My go to coffee shop for the last two years. I conveniently live across the street and this place has delivered great drinks and pastries. The people are very sweet and accommodating. They also have reward system for a free coffees
I’ve lived in New York for over a decade and lots of places claim to have the best croissants in the city. For me, that honor goes to Frenchy’s. I even travel from Brooklyn just to have them! The best!
If I could give Frenchy’s 100 stars, I would! Between the high-quality coffee and pastries, the inviting atmosphere, and the genuinely friendly baristas, you won’t find a better spot, whether you’re grabbing a coffee to go or settling in to work or study. The owners’ dedication truly shines through! Perrine and Aurelien are hands-on in both this café and their sister store (Healthy Frenchy), always prioritizing quality, community, and the well-being of their employees. When you visit Frenchy’s, you’re treated like family!
LOVE THIS PLACE!! The service is always top-notch, especially the baristas Jayden and Gabby who are often working when I come in. But even better than the service and ambience, is the coffee! SO good, some of the freshest tasting espresso I've had in the city. Will continue to come back- OFTEN!
I recently popped into Frenchy Coffee for breakfast, and I was absolutely amazed! The Croffle had that perfect crunch on the outside while being soft and delicious on the inside. Plus, the Lavender Latte was so fragrant and comforting—it felt like a warm hug in a cup! The vibe there is super cozy, the staff is really friendly, and there was hardly any wait. I definitely recommend arriving early to grab a cozy seat indoors. It’s about $12 per person, which is totally worth it. It’s a great spot for a solo visit or a fun little gathering with friends!
This was my first time at Frenchy Coffee NYC and I am so glad I stopped in. Firstly, the staff is great. The cashier was gracious enough to answer my many questions and the barista was friendly. The white pistachio cold foam cold brew is to die for. I also saw a good mix of people sitting and working on their laptops versus hanging out with friends in the outdoor patio, so this place, strikes me a good vibe for both. It’s also not too far from Central Park, the conservancy garden, or the museum of the city of New York, so I definitely recommend popping in for coffee or a bite to eat before hitting those attractions.
What an amazing little slice of Paris in the heart of Spanish Harlem. I found this place an hour before hiking there from work during my lunch hour.....and my job is no where near here but I had a hunch (especially since I love all things French) that it would be worth the trip and I was right. You walk in and it is pastry and coffee nirvana. Having been to Paris one two prior occasions I had that familiar feeling walking in with the scent of bread, fresh croissants, pastries and coffee tantalizing your sense of smell. Perrine one of the owners (the wife) greeted me with a bright smile and her lovely French accent when I walked in. She was absolutely lovely and engaging with the small conversation we had together. Perrine made by far the best latte I have had since traveling in Europe. I ordered the brown sugar maple latte iced and in hindsight I should have ordered two. I also opted to try the ham and Brie baguette which was warmed for me and was superb in every way from the fresh crunchy baguette to the thinly sliced ham with a whisper of Brie. I also ordered the cinnamon danish. There are several seats inside and outside seating (available on warmer days). I loved the fact they had multiple French products for sale, from béarnaise sauce, pork liver confit, duck foie gras just to name a few items. The only down side was it was extremely hot inside (not sure if this was caused by the oven or the heat was just cranked up high) but that's just a minor issue that is an easy fix. I wish I lived in Harlem I would have Frenchy coffee on heavy rotation for my go to coffee and sweet spot. I know I will be back I loved everything ordered.
My favorite coffee shop in Manhattan. Their cold brew with vanilla sweet cream cold foam and 3 pumps of french vanilla (if you’re getting a small) and 5 pumps of french vanilla (if you’re getting a large) is phenomenal. I haven’t been able to find any other coffee shop that can replicate it. So blessed to live 30 seconds away from it!
Amazing French baked goods and coffees with a mini French market. This is the perfect spot for a quick breakfast before you explore Manhattan, we ate here before the museum of nyc and it was perfect. It was a little busy but they were quick with orders. The staff is super friendly and many people knew each other here, I got coffee community vibes! Jolene got a latte and croissant and I a black coffee with a savory French danish the Friand and with tomato olive filling and omg it was delicious.
Hmmmm…… I would a pretty cool place to hang out with, we did have a couple of Coffee’s and croissants, and a Tuna baguette, which I must say was a complete let down, the baguette was so hard, that I could break a window pane with it, and the tuna seems like I would need to go fishing to get the quantity needed on the baguette (it was all bread and no tuna).
Great spot for a brunch with a couple friends. Not so big but also not too loud which is nice. They have gluten-free muffins and cookies but they were right next to the gluten-containing ones so I wouldn’t risk it as a celiac! Ended up getting a sandwich with gluten-free toast and they were pretty helpful with changing gloves and avoiding cross-contact as much as possible. Their coffee is also decent
Was not bad. Was expecting a better presentation for their “Croffle” which I believe is a croissant cooked in a waffle maker with toppings. When served, looked and tasted like my little cousin who is 6 prepared it. I also ordered a Cafe au Lait which was okay. In total paid $17 which I think is a little overpriced for what it was.
Frenchy Coffee is a super cute and cozy place that my roommate discovered while running! We ordered coffee, the veggie quiche, and a vegan blueberry muffin. The staff was very friendly. The cashier told me that the bakery items are made fresh every morning and the vegan blueberry muffins are a favorite of the customers. I just had to try one! It was so delicious!
The Frenchy Coffee shop is over priced and unsanitary. They are flies on their pastries! They need lots of improvement. I would head over to the local dinner two blocks away. Coffee cold, bread are stale, baristas and cashiers are rude! Do not recommend!
First time at Frenchy Coffee NYC and last. 2 small coffees $4 and I asked how much is a plain butter bagel she said $5.00 =$13. Thats outrageous! The coffees were cold. The sitting inside disorganized and flies on top of pastries. I called it to the attention of the batista and he told me "that's New York." Frenchy Coffee NYC is over price and unsanitary. My kitty carrier which I had just purchased at a pet shop was left behind on the floor as i was paying for my items. When I went to drink my cold coffee the batista came to my table and asked "are you going to leave it there." It was posted that I had a snake in my kitty carrier and that it was left on top of the counter. Would a 73 year old senior carry a snake in her kitty carrier? Good luck with your business.
For the prices they charge, the food is definitely not worth it. I had a matcha latte and blueberry muffin. The latte was too sweet and the matcha wasn't high quality, so it also had a very earthy taste that clashed with the sweetness. The muffin was not fresh at all, it was heavy and dense and sticky, not light or cakey at all. I don't know if they were at the end of their stock and waiting for new bakes? It seemed like they were low on things. Honestly I would have been much better off going to Blank Street, or even Starbucks.
as it scored 4.6, I shall not go anywhere NYC lower than 4.9 pastries are unsurprisingly ugly. no matter how tasty it could be, never gonna beat what i got in Paris, and most recently in Bari. skipped coffee is tasteless service is below average of NYC street food. no smiling n/or happy face from the staffs. both look tired no good answer to question as simple as what flavors of latte do you have: i mean, if the menu are clear enough, who bothers to ask? a cafeteria out of good coffee, good service, and apparently out of mind
