Opinions de Gennaro New York
Reliably fantastic food and great service. Cash only and on the expensive side, especially considering small portions. Can be crowded even after it's necessary expansion years ago.
Make your way to the Upper West side and join the locals at this longtime- but going- stronger than ever Italian. Always fresh, delicious and unique with an awesome wine list. Tremendous value.
food's great but the tables are uncomfortably close and service can be spotty UPDATE: 2019 I just spotted this 7 year old review and had to update it from 3 to 5 stars. This became a neighborhood favorite once they expanded into adjoining spaces. The service is always attentive and the food excellent. It is not cheap, and often packed during normal eating hours (I'm all for early-bird eating so not such an issue for me).
I go to Gennaro on a regular basis. Yes, cash only is a royal pain but being Italian and raised on pasta, this place is about as good as pasta gets in NY. Atmosphere is perfect for dates, service fantastic and the wine list is exceptional and reasonable. Oh last point, given that the food is authentic, it won't be as seasoned as the American palate is used to, so a sprinkle of cheese gets the job done.
Excellent in every way, every time. Great, great food. Amazing service. Servers always eager to make your dining experience as pleasant as can be. My family has eaten at Gennaro for at least 15 years.
🔥🔥🔥 This is one my favorite restaurants in all of NYC. it’s also where I bring out of towners who want proper Italian food. The owner makes sure you are happy and the staff is. very helpful . I crave their bolognese and octopus salad. I’ve literally had everything on their menu and it is truly delicious. Their panna cotta is SOOO good too. In all the years I've been coming, I've never had a bad meal. Ever.
I never write reviews for restaurants, or really any places I go for that matter. But the veal ravioli, the uncannily delicious kale salad, even the dang bread demanded I write this review. The food is exceptional, the atmosphere is classy but not imposing or uptight, though I could have done without the small children at the table next to us but who am I to stop someone from procreating. The service was exactly what was needed, they were knowledgable and fulfilled requests in no time and were always close by. It cannot be understated that this is one of the best Italian joints in Central Park West, maybe even New York City as a whole, possibly on Planet Earth. Seriously dude, that kale salad. You will thank me. And there's excellent gelato a block away! New York, man. This restaurant alone is worth your visit to this crazy peninsula.
One of my favorite italian restaurants and it never disappoints. Cash only but an excellent value for exceptional food. Many of the negative reviews are because it's cash only but cash only is great as credit card processing is expensive! The savings are passed onto the customer and most notably reflected on the wine list They have great wines and I highly recommend their entry level nebbiolo (bottle) for a light, yet, well integrated red wine - it's much much lighter than my preferred Langhe Nebbiolos but the price can't be beat!
We always tremble with excitement at the thought of eating at Gennaro; the food is unfailingly innovative, the service attentive, the atmosphere homey and warm. Each visit gives us the opportunity to choose from the dizzying list of wonderful specials, so no need to bother with the menu!
Gennaro is authentic Italian - it is actually named after the owner who comes from the real place where food is sacred. Great hospitality - Maurizio, the maître, welcomes every guest and after 2 minutes he is your best friend. Menu includes Italian popular dishes, some with an American twist. Portions are large and dishes well presented. If you live in Upper West Side, Gennaro should become you favorite neighborhood place.
Very great Italian restaurant that stands out from most places in this neighborhood. Gennaro seems to attract a neighborhood crowd - people that live close by and eat there often. Despite being cash only, the quality of food and wine selection outshines most Italian restaurants in NYC. This is a top gem.
I've been eating at this place since I was a young kid. I literally grew up on their Rigatoni Eggplant dish. It has remained authentic to the chef/owner, Gennaro, and to the food that he cooks so well. It also has the same group of waiters working there for years... obviously they believe in the food and the way the restaurant is run... and are experts on the menu. The only downside to the place is that they only take cash... so make sure you hit the ATM before you stop by.
We moved in this neighborhood last year and for the first time We had dinner here. And then realized why didn't we come here soon? It really is two street down and for me hours works because I do eat my dinner early. Really great food, wine and very attentive staff.
This restaurant must have launched right after I left New York and I'm happy to say on a visit I stopped in and loved it. The food was excellent, the wine even better, and the casual local atmosphere worth the trip.
My go-to Italian on the upper west side for the last 30 years, family owned and better than any chain, freshest ingredients, fresh homemade pasta prepared daily, excellent daily specials, impeccable service from seasoned professionals and cash only keeps the prices reasonable, especially for New York. Thank you Gennaro for all the fantastic culinary experiences....
The food was delicious, especially the white fish. The dessert was unbelievably unusual—warm pear with ice cream.
Great Italian food on the Upper West Side! My wife and I have been coming here since it opened in the mid 90`s. The food never disappoints and the atmosphere is very cozy - great neighborhood spot.
Went with a group so we were able to try a lot. Everything was very tasty. Bring cash.
Very nice and cozy place and I was told that the food here is good. After visiting this place, I know why. I had the chicken cutlet layered with spinach, potato and cheese with one of their dark beers. The meal was excellent along with the service. The place was packed with a few tables for 2 here and there. Best to reserve a table if you have a party of 3 or more. Great evening!
This restaurant has been around for 23 years because it is the very best Italian on the Upper West Side. The appetizers cannot be missed. From the classic endive salad with pecorino and pear to the octopus, Brussels sprouts, kale, and daily specials - they are delicious and a total delight. The pastas are always fantastic and the meats are great too. Always lots of specials added nightly. Sit at the bar or at a table, and the service is exceptional. Thank you Gennaro for a great dinner last night and every time.
Very New York Italian restaurant with some of the best pasta I’ve had in years. Exquisite service and food was incredible. Would highly recommend
Outstanding, comfortable and delicious. Great wines! Highlights: Etna Rosso wine, cuttlefish & polenta appetizer, the pastas, especially the veal ravioli, and fabulous Pastiera Napoletana dessert. Attentive and friendly service. Cash only (there's ATMs nearby) - but worth a trip to the ATM.
Partner and I just moved in to the UWS and this place has already become our delivery go-to! Food is always amazing and consistent and Edward is always patient in answering all our questions and suggesting recommendations!!! Try their Spinach Ricotta Ravioli!!!
Had a delicious dinner with the family for my wife's birthday, along with great service. We ordered the creamy polenta with mushrooms to start. Comes out super hot, and gets the meal started right. The pasta with pork ragu and duck for entrees. Closed with chocolate cake.
I feel a bit embarrassed for being around this restaurant for the past three years and not knowing much apart from the fact that I walk my dog around the block at night and it is always full, every single night, so I finally had enough I decided to try. They don't take cards and I was surprised, but I've noticed after seating but before eating and the wife had a checkbook. The service was fantastic and the food from the bread and butter to the deserts was all incredible. My wife had the gnocchi and I had the Veal chop and we both enjoyed our food a lot. The creme brulee and Tiramisu at the end was awesome. We also had a great bottle of wine and the bill was very reasonable with including tips.WIll definitely return and recommend.
My wife and I love it here. It’s how we treat ourselves. It is around the corner from us and truly feels like only locals in there. Davide recommended the duck last night and it was possibly one of the best meals I’ve ever had in NYC. Maybe I was hungry, but the man was right on. It was honestly so good I am sitting on the couch just thinking and decided to write this. I’ve never had a bad meal there. My wife loves all the pastas and the tiramisu. They always do great seafood. Their Italian wine selection is great. We love it so much I almost didn’t write a review! Grazie, Gennaro! See you soon.
Gennaro's is wonderful. This friendly neighborhood establishment boasts a cozy aesthetic, delicious wine, and spectacular food. I had the spaghetti and the warm pear tart. The bartender, Elisa, when I asked for a glass of Sauvignon Blanc recommended a delicious alternative. This is the perfect place for a date night or a small family gathering. Highly recommend
just loved it.. very local.. delicious food with attentive and warm service.. No question why some places last very long
We love this place! Have been going for over 20 years. Not just for the cacio e pepe and lamb shank and ever-changing specials, but for the cozy, homey, caring ambience. The love! Many of the same waiters all this time. That says a lot. We've been for birthdays and parties and evening-for-two. We're always happy here. Wonderful wines from Sicily and Italy too. We crave his dishes when we're away from NYC! Family-owned and run.
I’ve been to Italy many times, and this is still hands down the best Italian restaurant I’ve been to. Couldn’t recommend more.
I have been coming here for around 18 years. Food is still excellent and service is timely. I hope they are around for another 18 more. It used to be pretty loud, but that has been handled at this point. I recently went back and it is as good as I remember. I always get the kale salad, and I enjoy their meat dishes.
Very consistent and very reliable. Regular menu and daily specials. Always fresh. Owner on premises in the kitchen.Salads are fresh. Hot food is hot. Outstanding wine list. Recommend almost anything from wines to appetizers to salads to extraordinary entrees and deserts.
Absolutely incredible and irreplaceable. My husband and I had our wedding dinner here after our big wedding had to be canceled due to Covid. My husband’s grandparents came here for years. The food is a unique and fresh take on classic, exquisite Italian. Every dish is thoughtful. Truly an upper west side gem.
Favorite restaurant in NYC. I always get the fava bean arugula salad and cacio e pepe, but everything is good. Casual, but still elegant.
Amazing food, fresh and well presented. The place is well maintained and organized so that it's not too noisy (rare enough to be mentioned). Only cash!
Our go-to spot for Italian on the Upper West Side. The food is always fantastic and the vibe is super cozy. The wine selection can’t be beat and the service feels like you’re being take care of by family.
Ate dinner here for the first time and the food is amazing. Layers of flavors and sophisticated menu options. I had the braised organic chicken with capers and currants and flourless chocolate cake for dessert as I’m gluten free. Delish. Will definitely be back.
Accepts credit cards now The Parmigiana melanzane was so tasty The atmosphere is very lively and the service is good Very popular with the locals
very friendly staff! we had a large party and they brought a table from outside for us. food was absolutely delicious. lots of locals so you know it’s good. nice atmosphere and close to the subway station. will be coming back on our next trip to NYC!
We have been coming here for decades, because Gennaro serves hands down the best Italian food on the Upper West Side. We tell people we practically live here, coming at least once a week. The owner and staff are gracious and friendly, the delicious Southern Italian menu -- wonderful pastas, meats, and fish -- is augmented by daily specials (including the occasional rabbit and goat), the wine list is extensive, reasonably priced, and excellent. The atmosphere is informal, with a neighborly neighborhood feel. You should know in advance that Gennaro accepts neither reservations or credit cards. Don't let that stop you from having a marvelous evening here.
Ambiance is so warm. The host was welcoming and the services were very fast. Many different wine selections. Overall 10 outta 10.
I somehow misplaced my cellphone and soon became agitated, likely paranoid and a nuisance to both customers and staff. The latter took their time to finally help me locate it. My relief was immeasurable. I want to again greatly thank them for their assistance and the customers for tolerating my disagreeable behavior. Some even aided me in the search. Let me not forget to add the most important feature, the food and drink, were superb.
Such an amazing spot in NYC! The food is absolutely incredible and everything is made in house. Everything was so fresh and the dishes were unique. The staff is extremely friendly and attentive! I highly recommend visiting Gennaro’s when in New York, definitely worth stopping by!
Food is unique and delicious. The portions are small for some of the plates but amazing. The music is slightly too loud for me but it’s a great background playlist.
HOSPITALITY AND CONSISTENCY!! The benchmarks for all great restaurants, even more important than the food itself. This gem of an Italian restaurant specializing in Sicilian style cooking has been doing those exact deeds since 1996. That alone should speak volumes about this establishment. The owner/chef Gennaro is passionate about his food. Being a lover of Sicilian cuisine, I was wowed by his Caponata( ever so slightly sweetened eggplant appetizer) and Sicily's Chief pasta dish... Bucatini Con Sarde....a thick walled spaghetti with fresh sardines, raisins, and wild fennel. A taste and texture sensation for the soul. My dining friend ordered a half order of a different pasta which he left the bowl so clean that the dish could have been put back on the shelf. His main course was a pounded breaded veal chop with salad on the top. The veal chop was the size of Rhode Island and was moist, flavorful and satisfyingly memorable. Our waiter was intuitively available on a moments thought and answered all our food questions with an inviting attitude. My friend and I had not dined together for many years and our waiter seemed to pick up on that and never bothered us unless he was needed. The timing of the food was well tuned and the room had a good vibe especially for a Monday night. It had been too many years since I had been there last, but rest assured I will be back soon. I live in Northern NJ and only wish Gennaro was in my town. This is a true labor of love establishment. The owner cares about his food preparations and the restaurant has a welcoming, warm and alive feeling about it. You will leave with a fond memory of the dinner and hopefully in three hours you will burp and get to taste that glorious food againLOL.
We come here whenever we come to NYC because the food and ambiance are amazing! Just remember this place isn't open on Tuesdays. You really can't go wrong with anything on their menu but especially the tart with potatoes, beets, goat cheese and arugula is incredible, and the spaghetti alla chitarra is amazing. One time they had a beet ravioli as a special and that was fantastic too. And their burrata is also amazing. There's really nothing bad to say about this place; you won't be disappointed.
After 4 years away from the city I love, it’s good to know that in the post-COVID world, this oasis still exists. The Grilled Lamb Chops with Garlic Mashed Potatoes & Sautéed Greens are still perfect. The Malbec is still a standout on the wine list and the Tiramisu is worth every bite. There’s nothing better than starting it all off with a Frisée Salad. (I love their Crème Brûlée.) The atmosphere at night is great, although on this winter night, it was somewhat too warm. The wait staff are knowledgeable and attentive.
Everything was amazing but the gnocchi was truly melt-in-your-mouth good. Also ordered the fava bean salad, pappardelle oxtail ragú, and tiramisu. Everything was delicious and the staff was incredibly friendly and on their game. Felt like a great neighborhood joint and will definitely be coming back. + Spacious outdoor seating.
This is a very popular restaurant! There was a long line when we arrived but it didn't take too long to get a table. Even though they say no reservations on their website, you should still call and let them know you're coming. The food was incredible and reasonably priced. Every single dish we got was amazing.
A neighborhood favorite, Gennaro serves fabulous food. This cash-only Upper West Side gem makes the best gnocchi in the city. The service is great and the decor is warm. Another favorite is the frisee salad, the portobello goat cheese tart, and the penne. What's great about Gennaro is that they always have a long list of exquisite specials, so don't forget to ask your waiter about that! Since they don't take reservations, you might want to get there earlier than usual because there is usually a wait... but it's worth it! Tip: do not deliver from here, the food is 100x better when actually there.
Old neighborhood favorite. Somewhat overrated for the price. Waiter was a delight but the supporting staff throughout the night didn't know where they were bringing what dish. Shouldnt be hard to learn which table is which.
Haven't been here in a while - exceptional service from Mike, and great wine selection recommendations! Great classic Italian dishes.
Neighborhood favorite for southern Italian fare. Nice salads, good housemade pastas. Reasonably priced and cash only!!! Outdoor shed very popular with those who bring their dogs to supper.
One of the better Italian restaurants on the upper west side. I've been going here for years and have never had a bad meal. Great pasta dishes and more. Friendly staff and really good service.
I am a native New Yorker and will keep to the directness of how we are known to be :) Food: Very good. I really enjoyed their penne and their tortelloni. Drinks: Great wine list! Space: The indoor dining is very intimate and cozy because it is very small. Making the mixing and mingling a whole restaurant affair. Scene: Date night. Romantic dinner. Crowd: Mostly locals, professionals, families, and retirees. Service: Very Good. Leave your plastic at home. This is an all cash establishment.
The atmosphere is warm. The food is very good!!! I started with the a side of creamy polenta.Wow! Then I had the tortelloni filled with spinach & cheese in butter & sage!!! The portions were just enough. I was very satisfied.
Gennaro is reliably excellent. I've had fish, lamb, pasta, salads here: everything is fresh, simple and beautifully prepared. There is always a plethora of specials, so don't get too attached to your selection from the menu!
The food is delicious, I got the penne pomodoro. But the service could be better. The maitre d' was a mess. He couldn't even seat me with the rest of my party. I found them myself.
Nice quaint place on the Boulevard. The owner is this really cool Italian dude who always greets his customers with a smile. I believe he's a huge soccer fan as they always have Serie A games on the tube (big plus). The staff are very friendly and attentive. Been here for breakfast and dinner and have been impressed by both. My favorite dish thus far has been their salmon with asparagus. Haven't tried their coffee yet but it's nice to see a joint with an espresso machine in Sunnyside. Highly recommend SoleLuna.
Excellent Italian food with a wide variety of wines. The specials were considerable and well thought out. The monkfish was great. The terimasu was very good. Cash only.
Gennaro is our 'go-to' neighborhood spot. You always count on fabulous food at a reasonable price. They have managed to maintain the food quality despite an expansion(much needed due to the lines!) a few years back. Favorites include: All starters, especially the kale salad. Lamb shank . . .
The food and prices were great. I had the lamb chops with potatoes and spinach. The fava bean salad, pesto linguini, and calf liver were also great choices.
Pretty good food. The cacio e pepe and veal ravioli were delicious. I would have liked two or three more ravioli in the dish but what they served was an acceptable size. The pasta with swordfish was fine but I wouldn't order it again. The staff is very friendly too. Overall it was a nice meal.
Delicious Italian restaurant on the UWS. CASH ONLY - but really good and reasonably priced. Very cute interior with friendly, attentive staff. Good menu with a long list of specials (so be sure you're paying attention). I got the buratta special which was amazing - they pair it with avocado, tomato and pomegranate seeds. I will definitely going back there.
Food was excellent as usual, although they had many specials, we chose to go with a couple of standbys, the Cornish game hen is always fresh and properly crisp, the pasta dishes are excellent especially the spicy cheese pasta. Skip the Italian wines by the glass, very pedestrian.
Cute local Italian restaurant with good pastas and decent portions. Service is a bit brusque but overall friendly. Keep in mind the restaurant is cash-only.
I love their sautéed calamari and their veal chop with the portobello mushroom.
This place is an institution on the UWS. I've been ordering from there for decades and have occasionally dined in as well. Excellent dishes. Too bad they are cash only -- nowadays who carries cash?
They charged $4.50 for the grated parmesan we asked for to sprinkle on our eggplant parm. We should have been warned. Very surprised
The waiters tend to rush and pressure you to pick out the menu quickly. My husband and I were looking at the wine list and the waiter was trying to push a particular wine. Too pressured and rushed. The food is delicious and next time we return we will tell the same waiter to please not rush us.
The famous lamb shanks were dry and tough. I should say, lamb shank, as there was just one very small shank. It tasted like yesterday's leftover, and may have been, since I ordered at 5, just when the restaurant opens. The broccoli rape was okay, but how hard is it to make steamed broccoli rape? The chocolate torte was good, but minuscule. The place is not such a standout.
I’ve been going to Gennaro for about twenty years, and recently returned after a long hiatus. The starters (frisée salad, cod cakes) and pasta were still good (though you’ll find better cacio e pepe elsewhere) and the wine list is still good, and clearly organized. I was also pleasantly surprised to learn that we could pay with plastic. I regret to write that the service was subpar. Prices for specials weren’t immediately given (as at other places in the UWS—this isn’t Park Ave.) and I had to ask twice to hear them. We had to ask twice for the staff to close the doors to the street on a damp and chilly night. Our server eventually relaxed but seemed oddly harried on a night when about half the tables were empty. I’ll go back and hope for better.
Great food. Tacky service. It’s really extraordinary how excellent food can taste bad when the environment is substandard. I sat at the bar for dinner. The server, who was mostly efficient, if mechanical, had no compunction letting her phone ring loudly and then accepting calls right in front of me. I won’t bore you with the inanities of her conversation, but suffice it to say that she had no awareness of how her loud voice and banal chit chat were bumming me out. It got worse: she and a colleague thought it would be a good idea to watch a video 3 feet away from me, which had them in stitches while I was wondering if somebody would bring me the pepper grinder. When she wasn’t yukking it up, my server was complaining to her colleague about how exhausted she was, and how badly she needs a vacation. I think she should take her vacation (I wish she would!), but I don’t really want to hear about how miserable she is at work while serving me. Gennaro: you’ve worked so hard to develop a fabulous menu. Don’t let sloppy service drag you down.
I organized 15 people here for dinner. Three tables I told the waiter exactly what time I need the check by. It took forever to get bread. And forever to get our meals. We had to rush to eat and pay the bill to make out movie. And the waiter and inside staff were not nice about it. They never apologized for our wait. They could have brought us an appetizer as complimentary while we waited the hour for our food. The service was horrible. Probably one star. The food gets 4 stars
Service was very bad and inconsistent. There were at least 6 servers, but all of them just stood around and hung out without actually doing anything. When we walked in, not one of them greeted us, and we had to actively get them to seat us even though they were standing near the wall just staring at us. During the dinner we tried to wave to get their attention and two of them just looked at us and did nothing at all. The one server who actually worked at all was the woman. The boss should seriously consider getting rid of some of the useless workers. The restaurant is not very big and wouldn't need that many people in the first place. Pasta is nothing special, but the lamb chops were good.
The Grilled octopus salad appetizer was amazing delicious and portions generous. (I had eaten most of it before I thought to take a photo) Many of the specials included in various types of fish. Once again, the waiter was indifferent and bitchy. He brought the wrong bottle of wine and when I pointed that out he told me it was the one that I ordered and uncorked it and plopped it down on our table.
I loved this place the food was amazing and the wine selection is always amazing. I’ve been coming here for years. But this time I was very disappointed, I ordered my usual stake which is the best I’ve had but this time was the worst I’ve had. The meat was tough and tasteless. The pompano fish seemed to be made at a vapor and also tasteless. The salad was the fig cheese and arugula was delish and so was my wine. For the price I paid I was very disappointed. Remember today to go out for a nice dinner is a luxury. Restaurant need to serve better quality food.
Pretty torn about this solid Italian. First, food is... good. The three of us had three different types of pasta, with different sauces, all interesting and at least inspired by the food I grew up with in Italy. But. The pasta itself was ever so slightly off, not quite al dente. The kind you would get at a good "Italian" restaurant that doesn't try hard to look authentic but still delivers on the basics. But for a place that takes neither reservations nor cash, where you have to just hang around the restaurant waiting for a guy to ask you "how many?"and then come back 30m later to take you to your table .. you get the idea .. I expected more. That said, would I go back? Yes, the overall experience and atmosphere make for a nice evening with friends. And the wine list is interesting too -- lots of lesser known, intriguing alternatives to the usual Italian fare.
Mediocre food and expensive. The kale salad barely had any taste or unique flavor. For $15, the portion was small and tasted bland. The pasta bolognese was similar - lacking flavor and seemed expensive $19 for the serving size. The service was pleasant and attentive.
For a restaurant that only accepts cash and is expensive one would expect excellent service and great food; but this is not the case. The food is not that good, the preparation is lacking, and the service is lackluster. There is no dish I would recommend.
Very disappointing. I really wanted to like this place after all the great reviews. My wife & I arrived with our friends (4 total) at 6:30. Nice ambiance, though poorly lit. We were immediately seated. Nice wine list. Reasonable prices. The waiter kept trying to push us to order. Didn't provide any useful information, just said they were running out of things in the kitchen, despite it being 6:45 on a Friday night and the restaurant was less than half full. He pushed the antipasto, which was decent quality, but way too large for four people. My friend and I had the sardine pasta because we both love sardines. It consisted of crumbled dry sardines mixed with pasta. Poor flavor profile. I asked the waiter for a side vegetable. He named several, including brussels sprouts, my favorite. Great. It turned out to be a cold salad of shredded brussels sprouts with pecorino cheese, not a side dish. Once the food was delivered, the service was poor. I asked for the owner, who wasn't there, so I spoke with the manager and explained the above. She apologized and hoped they would do better the next time. Dinner for four for $300 with these results? There won't be a next time. Too many other, better options.
Went here recently on a Saturday night. Place was mobbed, and the service delayed and harried. Seating was uncomfortable. There are simply too many tables in the room. Food was okay. We were not informed about the cash only policy until we began to order. Perhaps there's a sign, but it wasn't clear. Definitely limited our experience.
40+ years in NYC. We had veal Milanese and lamb shank as entrees. Terrible. Close to inedible. If you must go there, salad and pasta. More confirmation of UWS restaurant scene. The Truthteller.
It started off with our request to change to a diff table. The waiter brought over the silverware from the previous table and tossed it at my date. We had 2 different pasta dishes, salads and appetizer. One pasta was really good. We like al dented pasta, but the 2nd dish was undercooked. We sent it back. The 2nd attempt was the same, undercooked. The wine was old. The waiter tried to charge me for sending the wine back. We won't go back because the writer's attitude was so bad. To top it all off, in a cash only resturant, he said he didnt have change because he wanted specific dollars for tip. He ruined our evening.
Atmosphere very pleasant. Food was fair - I ordered pasta w sardines which turned out to be few pieces crumbled sardines over pasta. Not a lot of choices of pasta either. For dessert I ordered tartufo which is a ball of ice cream covered in chocolate- what I got was 1/2 ball of melting ice cream for $15. Rip off. Won’t return
I am vegan so I called in to advance and ask the one that answer the phone if they have vegan option. he stated with full confidence that the restaurant has many dishes that are vegan! We got to the restaurant and there was nothing vegan on the menu It's all was Italian with either meat and cheese or the combination of the two. The only way they can accommodate vegan is by giving you a reduction of a dish,This is not vegan option This is disgusting since the charge top money for anything! If you vegan Please never go there till they figure out if real vegan options little further here is good just take further that I can take it through the opening here and that's good thank you way drunk!
I ordered Chicken Parm with a side of Penne. It came to over $60.00 and was pretty terrible. It looked like a pizza round and thin, the chicken cutlet was very thin and dry. Tha sauce tasted like it came from a can. Very Dissapointed.
Truly the worst preparation of veal and chicken parm I have seen in 25 years in the culinary industry. 2lb piece of chicken or veal fried so dry it has to have so much sauce and cheese it's disgusting. Truly inedible. Not served with salad or pasta???? Just an entire plate of dry overcooked chicken. I would be embarrassed to serve that.
