Excellent gluten free dumplings. I have never seen GF dumplings anywhere before. Definitely give them a try if you’re in the area.

L
Logical Ghost

There are three good gluten free Chinese places in Manhattan, and this is one of them. My top pick for gf staples like spring rolls and sesame chicken.

M
Maddie Klein

Amazing selection of gluten free Asian food, definitely a must visit for gluten free folk in the city! Dumplings, spring rolls, noodles, etc. It's all so good!

A
Anna Kousoulis

The food is great. From the gluten free menu, we had dumplings, sesame chicken and Mongolian beef. Everything tasted so good and the portion sizes were perfect.

A
Andrew

Best gluten free Chinese food in New York! Huge selection which even includes gluten free dumplings! Definitely must stop here if your celiac

D
Danielle Allen

Stopped in here after power shopping at Bloomingdale’s - very basic interior but excellent sesame chicken, dumplings and service (the woman at the bar is very lively / happy to be here) - and you can look right out the window and people watch on Lexington - I would come back for sure!

S
Scott John

The food is fantastic and a unicorn for those requiring gluten free dining. The number of gluten free options is extensive (including the crispy/fried things!!!), the staff is knowledgeable, and it’s safe for the celiac crowd. We’ve been eating here for 10 years and cannot recommend it highly enough.

M
Melissa Cariqueo

It’s expensive but it’s worth it! The food it’s so delicious 😋 it’s so bomb like omg I would definitely come back and totally recommend it’s so clean and so cute

EMIL MAMEDOV

Awesome sushi and appetizers! Celiac friendly, gluten free menu.

Great gluten free Chinese food

A
Alicia Visconti

Amazing food! I am gluten free and they had SO many options. The restaurant understands a gluten allergy and ordering was a breeze. Loved the crispy general pso!

A
Amanda

OMG yum! This was some of the best Chinese food I've ever had. Gluten free Chinese food is so hard to find - especially general tso chicken! This meal was perfectly mouth-watering 🤤. The flavor and crispiness was 💯. I'm still thinking about it weeks later!

A
Alex H

nice casual place to have a bite, their separate gluten free menu is so helpful and has so many great options

D
Darrin Russell

Very much enjoyed this meal. The dumplings were clearly hand made. I had the Ginger Garlic Shrimp 5/5

t
tyana sterling

Everything gluten free was amazing we made it our whole meal.

N
Nysha Nelson

Great food. Even better there is an entire Version of the menu that was gluten free. The General Tso’s was the best ever. The sauce was perfection and the chicken — fried crispy yet not a thick coating that seems like eating breading rather than chicken! Bravo! And the gluten free chocolate cake was SO delicious! A nice place with typical noise level for a NYC restaurant. Still great!

A
A C

Went for the gluten free options and will be back! Tasty! Flavorful! Fresh! Well priced! Face and friendly service!

N

Absolutely best gluten free Chinese hands down. Can't get sesame chicken gluten free like this anywhere. Love love love

R

The best General Tso Chicken. All items I have had have been very fresh and tasty. Great staff and atmosphere.

This is my favorite restaurant. Not only just in the city but probably ever. As someone with Celiacs who can’t eat gluten I have never had the experience at a place like this where I can eat and share food with friends because all of the gluten free options are that fantastic. The staff is super friendly and very knowledgeable and careful with the gluten free food. I don’t know how they do it but it’s the some of the best gluten free food I have ever had. I highly recommend the gluten free general tso chicken!

J
Jennifer Crispell

Highly recommend, especially for a gluten free meal. They have an entire gluten-free menu with many options. My son got the fried rice and really enjoyed it. We also got the gluten-free spring rolls for the table and they were delicious. The portion sizes are enormous, especially given the very reasonable prices. The only constructive feedback I have is that the seating is very close together. I understand that this is very common in NYC though. Unfortunately, our family of four was seated less than 2 feet away from a table of two who were conversing very loudly for the setting :) Overall, our experience was excellent!

S

Excellent little place that serves delicious pan -asian cuisine. There are multiple options for vegetarians. Vibe is classy with dim lights, service is quick enough. Asian places are not typically expensive and this one is just like that. Around $20 am entree

M
Matt Thompson

This is a great little spot with a surprisingly good variety of gluten-free options. Everything we tried was fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. It’s not always easy to find gluten-free food that actually tastes good, but they nailed it here. The staff was friendly, the service was quick, and the whole place had a relaxed, welcoming vibe. We’ll definitely be coming back!

J
Julie Smallsreed

I met a friend here for dinner, and had a wonderful time! She's gluten free, and I was very impressed with their attention to detail around her allergy. The food was delicious, we sampled a few dishes 😋

R

Great place for celiac folks who want dumplings. This place has great food all around for both people who do and don't eat gluten. Sesame chicken and dumplings are awesome

J

Gluten-free Chinese food

E
Eric Bruce

Great food. But the real draw is their extensive gluten free menu. Chinese food is really the one thing my wife with Celiac cannot have typically. This place was recommended to us and it was fantastic. The "regular" food was good, too. Their delivery was super fast, too. Highly recommend.

A
Alison Yuhas

Hands down one of my favorite meals EVER (like, ever ever). I lived within Lilli and Loo’s delivery radius on the UES and have since moved away, but whenever I go back to NYC, it’s on the top of my to-do list. The black pepper tuna sushi roll (actually, all their sushi!) is amazing, and their gluten free Chinese food is out. Of. This. World. Lots of vegetarian options, too, and their WHOLE CHINESE FOOD MENU can be made gluten free. Some favorites include pan fried pork dumplings, chicken and broccoli, General Tso’s chicken, moo shu pork, and basically any of their appetizers. It’s small but they have about 10 tables, beer/wine/cocktail, delicious Thai iced coffee, an event space upstairs, and it’s really just so damn good. Stop at Baked By Melissa or Sprinkles Cupcakes for gluten free desserts afterwards!

R

Amazing extensive gluten free menu and delicious food. Rare to find GF Asian food that you are happy eating. Portions are huge and great value. Homely restaurant, definite must for visitors and locals.

L

Great restaurant. Really friendly staff and an outstanding offering for gluten free diners. My wife was so happy to be able to eat dumplings, tempura shrimp and crispy sesame chicken. Everything we tried was delicious and the portions were a good size.

M
Mickey White

This is THE Gluten free chinese spot in the city. The food is SO GOOD. It’s definitely a little bit more on the expensive side and I’m glad I made a reservation. Serving sizes are great. Love it here!

J
Jenna Robinson

So great. The people are so so nice. The food is ACTUALLY safe for gluten. They use gluten free soy sauce for everything and there is a separate fryer. They are very knowledgeable. The Sichuan dish was amazing. The dumpling were a tad too gummy inside but still tasty. Will definitely be going back. Thank you for actually providing a gluten safe environment.

S

General tso is so crispy and delicious. Best of all it's gluten free.

S

I really enjoyed Lilli and Loo. They have a great menu and lots of gluten free options. I loved the egg soup and the dumplings were good as well!

N
Natalie Epstein

I have celiac disease and have missed Chinese food so much. These were my first dumplings in about 8 years, and they did not disappoint! Gluten free steamed pork dumplings, crispy general tso’s chicken, and I got the lo mein to go as well. All was delicious, and I did not get sick! Will definitely come back :)

J
Jason Hill

Hands down the BEST GLUTEN FREE pan Fried Dumplings in the United States. We live i. Denver and EVERY TIME we travel to the NYC metro area we MUST stop and get the gluten free dumplings and all the other salad gluten free Chinese food. We love Lilli and Loo

J
Juan D’Amico

Love it. Love it. They have a Gluten free Menu! I recommend everyone General Tso’s chicken with steamed rice. Quick service, great price, great location, and great food.

B

Such amazing food! We've made sure to stop every time we've been in NYC this summer. The gluten free options are so good as well as the regular dishes. The fried rice, dumplings, sesame chicken, green teas - all have been amazing. Can't wait to go back again!

K
Kim M

This place has it GOING ON for gluten free food. There were so many gluten free options, we ordered spring rolls, dumplings, lo mein, and general tsos chicken, with the chicken being a clear favorite for us. This was such a treat, looking forward to coming back!

P
Phoenyx Long

Pan Asian and super cute. My waiter was attentive and friendly. I went for the gluten free options and there was an entire menu dedicated to it. SO many options. I love asian food, chinese especially and it's difficult to enjoy and manage the gluten. I ordered steamed vegetables and shrimp with a spcy garlic sauce and brown rice. The sauce was brought out on the side. They had chocolate and carrot cake options for desert. BOTH gluten free. It was delicious. The entire experience!

B
Benny Conn

This is the only place I’ve been able to eat Chinese food with celiac disease in years and the food is always delicious. Even my not gluten free friends agree that the dishes like the General Tsos chicken and house fried rice are fantastic. The service is very friendly and I have come back to this place at least 10 times now because of how great they are.

I
Ignace Manoury

The menu here called to me during my first pass by. The menu features original culinary ideas. I recognized the personnel were observant. The restaurant is spotless with an enjoyable feel. I intend to visit this place for a meal.

J

The house special fried rice was very special. General tso chicken was good too, not very spicy. I recommend

J
Jaclyn Kumar

My dad is gluten free and he was THRILLED to get some GF Chinese food while visiting. We ordered everything GF so we could share (huge portions) and you couldn’t even tell it was all GF. Objectively maybe the best Chinese food we have had in NYC. The tangerine beef was exceptional! It was super busy on a Saturday night so we were glad to have made a reservation.

S
Sean

Fantastic gluten free options for Chinese-American food that's typically not available as gluten-free such as lo main and dumplings. General Tso chicken was very good (and gluten free)

L
Lexy McCauley

The best sushi I’ve had in a while. I’m gluten free and also can’t have sesame seeds. They have an entire separate gluten free menu! I felt safe ordering things which is usually hard at a Chinese restaurant since soy sauce has wheat. They use a different soy sauce for people with allergies. I would definitely return!

J
Jonathan Greenberg

food was very good. great American Chinese classics with the ability to substitute for gluten free. The Mongolian beef was super tender and the peanut wonton were great!

G
GH W

The General Tsos chicken was a 10/10, really flavorful. Ordered here a couple of times and have also been there twice. Very friendly people. Once they accidentally delivered noodles instead of fried rice, but overall a very good restaurant with diligent employees. Huge Gluten Free menu, which is great

H

My husband and I stopped in a few nights ago on our trip to NYC from Ohio. We felt bad because we rushed in to eat here soon before it closed. It was well worth our rushed subway ride over and hurried meal. The staff was kind, and the food was AMAZING for both of us. I am gluten free (out of necessity, not preference) and was able to have dumplings as well as sushi with wheat free soy sauce! The gluten free menu is huge and has a wide variety of dishes! My husband doesn't have any restrictions and got the regular General Tso's chicken, which he said was amazing. I'm adding some pictures of my food, but I had already excitedly dug into my dumplings before taking a picture. It was so refreshing to sit down and eat somewhere where I could feel normal, in spite of my dietary restrictions. I wish I could take this restaurant home with me. We will definitely be back.

A
Anja Nagar

They have the biggest gluten free menu I have ever seen in my 3.5 years being gluten free! It is so hard to find places with Asian gluten free option. It was amazing choosing from such a big variety of foods for once. Even gluten free spring rolls! They were delicious. So was my main entree. I ate everything since it was so delicious. Severs are very friendly and its a nice atmosphere at the restaurant with nice decor. Really a great place!

B
Brittani O'Hearn

We chose Lilli and Loo for my son’s special 7th birthday lunch, and it did not disappoint! We both have serious gluten intolerances and could not believe how many delicious gluten free options there were. He declared it was a “dream come true” to be able to eat his favorite dish, lomain and I enjoyed my Pad Thai and Spring Rolls. The staff was so kind and accommodating and even surprised him with a birthday candle and song.

E
Emily Martinez

The food here is delicious! There are lots of great gluten free options that taste very similar to the real thing. Would definitely recommend to anyone who has a gluten sensitivity/allergy and loves Japanese food.

S

Delicious GF food options! Wow! My friends and I were so happy to have stumbled upon this restaurant!! Quick service! The food proportions are large so I suggest picking different entrees & sharing!! We can’t wait to go back again soon!!

Delicious gluten free food options - dumplings, spring roll, lo mein. 10/10 highly recommend

Nice restaurant with great gluten free options! Great food, so many options for gluten free, got food quickly. In the photos listed we got a starter salad and then i got the steamed vegetables with the ginger basil sauce and rice - it was very good! The sauce was not overpowering with ginger. This restaurant is on the smaller side so I would recommend making a reservation especially if you are dining during common dinner/lunch hours (call to make a reservation) and please use the address listed on the website! The address listed on google is the old address. However, both locations are only a 2 minute walk from each other if you mess it up.

My girlfriend and I went here for dinner on Saturday night (Lexington Ave location) and we really enjoyed it! The food and drinks came out in a timely manner and it was delicious, the staff was kind and very knowledgeable about the menu. They even have a separate gluten-free menu with tons of options. The atmosphere was chill, the space was not as big and it can get packed so definitely make a reservation ahead of time especially for a large party. Overall, I would recommend this place to anyone who enjoys Thai food!

Zoë Willems
Zoë Willems

I had the gluten free chicken / vegetable chow lo mein and it was delicious. So good I even doubted it was GF. The chicken was so soft, perfect!! The atmosphere feels like a family company designed for quick dinners and a good service. They give you a free tap water. Thank you so much!!

I had an unusual situation in that I was hosting a wedding banquet but the restaurant was unable to accommodate a few of my gluten free guests. I worked with Maggie to come up with a sample platter for each person that would be safe for them to eat, and she had them delivered to the venue. She is wonderful and I heard that the food was fabulous! Thank you for making the dinner special for everyone, Maggie!

Dustin Levy
Dustin Levy

The best gluten-free Chinese food I’ve had. The General Tso’s was made with white meat and the crispiness and heat was on point. My fiancée has celiacs, but I could attest that this tasted like the same. They have gf desert, Thai tea, and wine mixer drinks as well. 10/10 would recommend to anyone who has celiac or eats gluten free.

I am still eating here as I write it but this place is so amazing that I have to write a review straight away. I am gluten free so by default my expectations are not too high (because gluten free food is usually not delicious) but here… here is like heaven on earth. Full gluten free menu, the food is fresh and so delicious! The service is so nice and kind despite clearly being very busy inside the restaurant and with pick up orders. Cannot recommend enough!

Lilli and Loo is a fantastic spot for lunch! We ordered the Kung Pao Tofu, fried rice, and some sushi a la carte — everything was fresh, flavorful, and satisfying. The lunch deal is such a great value, and the service was quick and efficient, which made it perfect for a midday meal. Definitely a go-to for tasty food and a smooth dining experience.

The food here was definitely one of the highlights of our NYC vacation! There are so many gluten free options, and everything we got was absolutely delicious. My favorite was the sesame chicken (soooo good!!). Such a treat to have good gluten free Chinese. Will definitely be back next time we’re in NYC!

Great place for gluten free food. Separate gluten free menu with so many tasty choices. Service was prompt. Servings were generous and food was good! Was difficult to make a reservation online but was worth a phone call to confirm a spot.

This place serves Chinese, Thai, and Japanese. Everything looked delicious. We ordered Crispy General Tso's Chicken and was the bomb! It was so crispy but so tender at the same time. I couldn't stop eating. Masaman Curry was good but had a unique flavor. Not quite sure what it was but little different then what I'm used to.

The gf food is incredible! I came for lunch and the service was very fast- I sat, had a multi course meal, paid, and was out the door in 30 minutes flat. It's a little bit pricey but given the gf menu and the location it's worth it. Definitely put this on the list to try!

Really delicious gluten free Asian food! Had pork dumplings (ask for well done to have them pan fried on both sides), miso soup, egg drop soup, General Tso chicken, and Sesame chicken. All gluten free! 2 people ate for 53.29 before tip.

Liran Wiener

Excellent Asian cuisine, NY style. We called ahead and reserved. The staff is very nice. We had gluten free versions of tempura shrimps, pork dumplings and sushi. I had the General Tso with chicken GF. Gluten free has it's own separate. The other party members had good food too. It has very nice and very spicy chilies inside. They have good Japanese plum wine. Comfortable seating and nice atmosphere with simplistic but canning decor.

Emilie

Excellent service and amazing gluten-free options for those with food allergies! I tried the pom-teriyaki grilled chicken with veggies, my Celiac husband got General Tso's, and we shared the pan-fried potstickers. WOW, I didn't even know potstickers this soft and tender (but that actually stay together and don't fall apart) and flavorful were even possible gluten-free. They were beyond tasty, and I'd recommend them to anyone! The only downside to this restaurant at all was that the tables were really tight and the music was a bit loud, plus the people next to us were so loud we couldn't have a conversation apart from them. I understand this is pretty normal as far as spacing goes in NYC, but we were visiting from out of state and weren't prepared for the close quarters. Still, the food was worth it, and if we lived closer, we'd be back. 🥟🥢

M
Marisol Cruz

Food was good, not great (I only ordered from the Gluten Free menu). Lacked in flavor a bit. The GF spring rolls were my favorite. Dumplings were good, not great. We also ordered the pork fried rice (just OK) & the Mongolian Beef (didn't like the sauce). My husband also ordered the wonton soup from the regular menu & he liked it. It's definitely nice to have an Asian/Chinese place that offers Gluten Free options, but I was a bit underwhelmed. Service was slow & she forgot our drinks .. maybe because it was a full house? Good prices for what you get. If in NYC again I'd give it another try.

J
John Litvin

Very good dinner. Excellent service. Gluten free menu! Pretty large menu.

M
Michelle Westfall

I am gluten free. I ordered gf fried dumplings, gf shrimp lo mien and gf madarin beef (my least favorite of the three, would pribably not order again). Everything tasted great, texture of noodles and dumpling was as expected for gluten free, but did not take away from the overall taste. It is hot in side... we went in April when it was cloudy and 75. 3 other adults enjoyed their meals, no complaints! Would order take out next time.

L

Nice cozy little spot in Lenox Hill. The sushi was just okay, but my friend was overjoyed with the gluten free options. Service was excellent. Many different styles of Asian food.. from pho to teriyaki bowls to nigiri.

We stopped in for a cold drink and an appetizer to share, we arrived shortly after 12 and the restaurantwas quiet. The gluten free menu was expansive offering most classics like fried dumplings, fried rice, sushi, sesame chicken etc. We have a great gluten free chinese spot near us, so we decided to try something that they don't offer. We tried the pan fried pork dumplings. It came with a tasty dipping sauce. The pork itself was great, but the dough on our dumplings was undercooked. Fried side was cooked fine but the opposing side was thick and chewy and was goo on the chopsticks. Sadly this is the only food item we tried. Many others have raved about this place but we probably would try somewhere else next time we are in the area. I had a Cosmo, taste was off but drink was strong and it was $10 so a deal in the city. Staff was nice and attentive.

S
S A

I called in advance to check table availability. When we arrived our table was ready and we were immediately seated. Our waiter came over to take the order for drink and appetizers. He was very friendly and patient. We ordered the boneless ribs and the house dumplings. Both good. He came back to take entree order. My husband ordered the Mongolian Beef, came with white rice and the House Specia Fried Rice.

G
Georgina Chamberlain

I ordered exclusively from the gluten free menu and was blown away. The food was fresh and flavourful. The staff was very knowledgable about gluten free, and were very clear when the dishes from non gluten free folks were brought out. The only downfall would be that the dishes came out sporadically instead of how you would imagine, where all of your main dishes come out together

M
M. H.

A nice Chinese option to take out or dine in offering iconic specialties as General Tso Chicken, Cold Sesame Noodles and Mongolian Beef. Very good service. Worth to try!

C
Crystal Nnadi

Visited with some friends and had a great time. The servers were nice and the place looked neat and clean. The lunch specials menu was to the point. The place is quite small, so not the ideal place for big groups. Overall, it was generally nice. The Teriyaki chicken bento was alright.

V
Vanessa Pires

This place is a gluten free haven! The service was great, quick and attentive. My only not so favourite thing were how sweet the sauces on our sesame chicken and beef dishes. Otherwise still great dinner and night out in NYC! P.s. gluten free soya sauce only!!

R
Ryan Beverly

Pretty tasty place for a modest price. We did enjoy the sake and our entrees, also this place is great if you have allergies because it has an all gluten-free menu that you can choose off of. I had the gluten-free spicy Szechuan beef. It was delicious although I think it could have had a little more heat. The sake was really good as well. Definitely give this place a try

Delicious Chinese dishes. This restaurant offers gluten free options. The dishes are a little pricey and are all family style plates. Bring a part of 2 or more to enjoy the flavorful dishes of Lilli and Loo.

Sheila Grant

Went to Lilli and Loo with some friends for a group lunch. A few of my friends have dietary restrictions and Lilli and Loo has gluten-free menu options. The service was good and we got our food quickly. I got chicken pad thai it was good. I would say this is a solid choice if you are in the area. The menu had a lot of options, there was sushi, there was Chinese and Thai food options. So something for everyone. And for NYC it wasn't crazy expensive.

J
Jammie Davis

Very mediocre at best!!! Everything was ok!!! Probably my least favorite meal in NYC!! Honestly PF Chang’s GF is better

J
Jess

the service was ok. I went with a few coworkers. one of my coworkers ordered a drink but had to re ask for their drink after getting their food as the waitress forgot. I asked for general tso's tofu, extra spicy. . . but there was no spice. the hot and sour soup was amazing, however my tofu was over cooked which lead it to replicate the same texture as chewy foam. the restaurant itself was really clean and pretty. . . I just seemed like the waitress was extremely distracted.

J
Jan Hammy

Place is noted as a gluten free Chinese cuisine spot. The food is MEH. I asked for NO onions… said it Multiple times. STILL got ONIONS. That was disappointing that they did not follow my dietary concerns. The food was bland and was super expensive. Lo mein and fried rice was $38. That’s way too pricey to not get what you requested. I will not go back. It was below average.

S
Sade Ortuzar

Was not a fan. I came here for dinner because my sister is gluten intolerance, however, I would not come here again. I left feeling sick. I ordered house fried rice.. the rice was not fried but plain. No flavor. The scallion pancake was not what I had at other Chinese restaurants. The general Tso chicken was ok. We were sat in the front and it was so cold.

P
Phil Scoville

We came to get Asian / Chinese food. The name of the restaurant seemed like a since my daughter and the restaurant have the same name though spelled differently. The service was okay but not great. They seemed pretty busy for just before 5pm, but not so busy or overwhelmed based on the number of folks that were there. But the order process and managing us seemed to be a lot. The food order actually came very quickly. Just getting our order

Nava Graham
Nava Graham

Lilli and Loo is where I get my gluten free goodies. The chelsea location might have the better location, but the UES location has the better tasting food IMO. My usual order is the gluten free beef lo mein which I've always gotten from the one on UES. I ordered from the chelsea location (because door dash chose that one) last night and it was dry, bland, and tasted like disappointment.

Okay, so I need to vent about my old favorite Chinese restaurant. This place used to be amazing, right? I loved going there, but now? It's seriously gone downhill. The service is terrible, and the atmosphere is just depressing. What's worse, they've crammed way too many tables into a tiny space. You're practically sitting on top of each other, which is totally ridiculous and uncomfortable. It's like they care more about packing people in than making sure everyone has a good experience. And the food? Don't even get me started. It's nothing like it used to be – the quality has really dropped. It's such a bummer because this place used to be my go-to. Now, I can't even stand going there. They seriously need to fix things, or they're going to lose all their customers.

Felt uncomfortable as though one or two staff didn’t want us there. Our waiter was really cool. The atmosphere of this place has really changed. I’d rather take out for now on. No longer a place I recommend to others looking for gf options.

I came to this restaurant based on my co workers suggestion but after having the food I urge everyone not to visit this restaurant Truly a dissatisfying experience and disappointment on Thai cuisine . I ordered Thai basil curry with chicken and it was tooo sweet and not even spicy ( I requested extra spicy ) They initially gave me small amount of rice but with Thai food you need rice . The server was very rude . Growing up I visited Thailand as if it were my second home I know how a real Thai food taste like but this was a total disgrace to Thailand and I felt like I wasted my time and money here.

I did not love this place. The problem with pan Asian restaurants is that none of the dishes taste authentic. The sushi was weak and had no flavor. The rice was barely covering the black seaweed. Even the ginger was weak. The pad Thai was too sweet. The chicken was dry. Not enough vegetables in it . The service is great though.

I have a severe egg allergy that requires the use of an EpiPen in the event of exposure. My party and I communicated this allergy multiple times to the staff prior to ordering. I specifically inquired three separate times whether the spring rolls contained egg and was told each time that they did not. After the food was served and I began eating one of the spring rolls, a female staff member approached the table and stated, “The chef only used one egg.” This admission directly contradicted the prior assurances I was given by the servers. Even trace exposure could have caused a life-threatening anaphylactic reaction. This trip to Lilli and Loo landed me in the emergency room. The response from staff was dismissive, and the comment “just one egg” demonstrated a serious lack of understanding of allergy severity and proper food handling protocols. This restaurant advertises itself as accommodating to dietary restrictions, yet failed to perform the most fundamental step of verifying ingredients when a severe allergy was disclosed.

I went to Lilli and Loo’s in NY and got the worst food poisoning of my life. I’m talking had to run off the train before it took off back to Nj and use the toilet in Grand central. Then could barley walk and made it to a hotel in Times Square that I had to book at 12 am and stay the night so I can 💩 💩 I wasted $400 something dollars lol Not to mention the service was horrible.

I ordered this 18 dollar special roll and turned out very disappointed. The food amount is not even enough for an 100 pound woman. I put the grapes next to it so you see how little/tiny it is! The pineapple fried rice I ordered was bad too. It smells like burned, and it was flavorless. It’s over-priced and with no quality. Wont come back again.

*First I want to say my one star review is not a review of the good staff service we received or the regular menu items.* I’m giving one star to the GF menu items because we choose this place for that reason. Basically they were inedible. I ordered the GF pork dumpling and GF shrimp tempura. While they looked amazing (cooked) on the outside once I bite into them the GF dough used was raw and mushy. I could not eat either of them! The dumplings were nice and hot but the shrimp tempura was room temperature. I get that GF battered items are tricky but cook times and temp need to be adjusted here. Maybe the cooks were having a bad day because the others reviews say differently.

This is a very serious issue. I checked the menu before I came in and I asked the server three times what was gluten free and more importantly egg free as my daughter has a severe egg allergy. I went so far as to ask how the food was prepared and was assured multiple times that what she ordered was safe and would be prepared safely. Well, when I checked for the fourth time, that when they said the spring roll she had eaten indeed had an egg. They were very flippant about the matter as if I hadn’t asked and food can be deadly to people. The server even said it had “just one egg”as if that makes a difference. I am now sitting at an urgent care because of this matter. This was very careless and completely unnecessary. Beware. If you are unsure, just turn the person away. I will be considering further actions. For safety reasons alone, I would avoid this place at all costs.

I got terribly, terribly sick from food that was supposedly gluten-free from here. I ordered chicken and broccoli that was swimming in a sauce which must have been laden with gluten. I have been sick for three days, unfortunately.
