This is a unique place for brunch. Everything has some type of waffle in the dish. I had ordered the chicken and waffles, make it fancy. It had some savory and sweetness to it due to the marmalade. Other family members ordered the carnivore and the kind of a pig deal. They all enjoyed it. Each of these dishes included a side which you can choose: fries, salad, fruit, or potatoes. The restaurant isn’t too big so there maybe a wait in the weekends. Ambiance was bright and open.

Kyle was my server who was very knowledgable about the menu and was very attentive to all my needs. Free surface parking lot available. I highly recommend getting the one hot chick sandwich with a side of seasoned potatoes and fresh orange juice. The fresh fruit was good as well. They were also nice enough to get me a side of 2 scrambled eggs with cheese and bacon since i was still slighltly hungry. Overall everything is fresh and delicious and made with love.

Ever since the 2025 vegan challenge, in January, we have wanted to try this spot! It lived up to their award-winning reputation! We decided to try it on Mother’s Day, so we put our name on the waitlist which was an hour and a half long, perfect for us since we live about 30 minutes away. We checked out the menu before we ever left home. We decided to share a mimosa flight. So we picked out our four flavors; guava, peach, mango, pineapple. We expected a cute 2 ounce glass of each and were surprised to have a full flute of each flavor. They were a delicious way to start our Mother’s Day celebration. We all chose one of the breakfast options: the original classic, the chocolate classic, and the vegan classic. The original is a Belgian waffle with eggs and bacon. The chocolate classic is chocolate chip topped Belgian waffle with eggs and bacon. The vegan classic is a vegan Belgian waffle with plant-based egg and plant-based sausage patty. They are served with your choice of side and we all chose the seasoned potatoes. The waffles are light and fluffy with just a touch of sweetness served with a dollop of homemade sweet whipped cream. The eggs, bacon, and sausage were prepared perfectly and the potatoes were crispy and flavorful. Even though it was such a busy day, we never waited long. Our server came to our table as soon as we were seated and took our order. She arrived with our beverages and very shortly after our food followed. The entire experience was amazing! We can’t wait to come back again!

Great service and the food was amazing. Portions are just right and presentation was appetizing. We had a big party and service was pretty quick. The waiters checked in on us often and were attentive and friendly. The favorite was the chicken and waffles. I would definitely go back.

Our first time visiting and we really enjoyed it. The vegan waffle and mushroom chicken was delicious. Large portions with a side included. I also had a mimosa and it was large as well. Great spot but very busy on the weekend.

Chicken and waffles but make it fancy. Outstanding. Loved the creamy orange ricotta and sweet marmalade glaze along with fresh hot chicken and crispy waffles. Bacon crumbles were a nice addition too. Lots of food, excellent service. Enough to share, if you’re willing to let someone else have a bite. Nice supporting a true local business too.

So glad to have found this gem in Thousand Oaks. Amazing food, service, food, atmosphere, and drinks! Will definitely be coming here weekly when I can. They are not frugal with their drinks (alcohol).

This is my new favorite place! Our server, Mikayla, was incredible and so good with my toddler when she was making a happy mess. She even offered to bring a small plate before I could get to asking for one so I could share my food. The gluten free waffles were clearly marked so even though they were so delicious I doubted they were gluten free, I could double check the wooden marker on my meal to reassure myself it was safe! Love, love, love. Place was clean and my kid loves the chalk wall. Oh and that bacon! Soooo good. My mother loved her savory waffles and chicken. And this may be a weird thing to mention but I'm slightly a germaphobe and I know there are others who would like to know this... There was a server in the restroom at the same time as my daughter and I. My daughter was quite messy so I was taking a while to clean her off. The server said not to worry and they'd wash their hands up front. I left the bathroom probably a minute later and saw that she was still washing her hands and she continued to wash for probably another minute. That's so thorough! I loved it. Overall, so sad that I only just found this place but it will be a new frequent fave.

Okay, so I just had the most amazing brunch at Honey & Herb - Belgian Waffle House! Seriously, the waffles were unreal – perfectly crispy and fluffy. I got the berry blast waffle, and it was bursting with fresh fruit. The staff was super friendly and made great recommendations. Definitely a must-try if you're in the mood for some seriously good waffles!

First time coming and was NOT disappointed at all!!! Puts a pep, in your step, cause the place is well kept!! 😄🥰👍 Stays open later for those who want to just be lazy and sleep in, but yet able to still enjoy a LATE Breakfast 💕! Tucked away in a cute little plaza in Newbury Park. Perfect spot for those who like to hike or Mtn Bike and grub before or after said cardio trip.

Food was unique and different with familiar dishes elevated. The real surprise was the service. Was greeted and served by Oscar. I tried to look for an email to this restaurant but not found. Wanted to let them know whatever they're paying Oscar, it's not enough. Our entire lunch we watched Oscar handle greetings, orders, serving, cleaning up around the pass and checking and cleaning equipment like fresh juicing machine, etc., group silverware, fill sauces and syrup containers, check on everyone again, and finally handle bills and payment. I'm exhausted writing this! We'll definitely be returning.

First time here, the staff was very friendly and welcoming! The food was beyond delicious, one of thee best breakfast waffles I have ever had! My waitress Vanessa explained the menu very well and offered her favorites! Give this place a try!!!

The breakfast was very tasty. I come from Europe, the Netherlands, next to Belgium. I’ve eaten lots of waffles before, but I had never had waffles with egg and salmon. Really delicious — and I’ll definitely order it again on my next visit.

Honey and Herb was a fantastic experience! I came here to try a new breakfast place and broaden my horizons, and this exceeded my expectations!! The food was incredible quality, and you could tell that it was made fresh. Everything tasted delicious and the portion sizes were perfect! You get exactly what you pay for, making every cent worth it. The service was great, quick and kind! Everyone who worked there had bright smiles and made a welcoming environment. The inside of the restaurant is cute and aesthetically pleasing. There's a big chalk wall to draw on that makes it kid-friendly too! There's also an outdoor patio area that is peaceful and gives fresh air to your meal. Such a lovely experience, and I plan on returning!

Fun menu, delicious food, great service! Went for a family brunch with four and everyone was extremely satisfied with their meals. Lots of veggie options clearly marked. Avocado waffle was fantastic!

A really cute and clean environment with really good food! I was able to eat an amazing full breakfast with an egg and dairy allergy. It was perfect. The waffle and vegan whip and strawberry was 🔥, fresh perfect fruit, charred juicy chicken sausage, and fresh pressed juice. Awesome service

Comfortable, friendly service beyond! Vanessa is always a smiling face to greet us along with already knowing what we love on their menu and her added impeccable service! Tino is not just a cook, but an artist with making the dish a masterpiece ! Food is always amazing! We are always made to feel special with all the attention! Consistent quality on all levels! Casual atmosphere is nice as well.

The three chicken cutlets and waffle are very filling. My kids enjoyed the homemade whip cream. This is a place that we have been before and will hopefully be back.

If you like waffles this is the place to go. They serve it alone with lots of fruit, sandwiches and as Benedict. PRO TIP- try the different ways they serve it. They serve a vegan chicken and waffles.

The concept is great, they’re not skimping at all, but everything is a little all over the place. Very sweet even for Belgian waffles. First photo the little Search for Berried treasure waffle tower is $17 alone plus we paid $10 for two eggs with bacon and potatoes… kind of grift, that little waffle thing is $10 max at an amusement park on a sunny day. $22 for the chicken and waffles was good but again very sweet. The menu is elaborate but over 3 words in a dish name makes it very redundant and hard to comprehend, and it’s coming from someone who likes to read. A good destination for diabetes enthusiasts

I really wanted to like this place. Our server was great. Very friendly and attentive. Decor was basic but ok. The food was my biggest issue. Not much of a selection for healthy options on the menu. I opted for the chicken breast and waffle. After finding out the chicken breast is fried, our server offered me the option of having it grilled, which is what I ordered. Let’s just say the soles of my leather shoes were jealous. Unfortunately the chicken breast was dry, tough, overcooked and had no seasoning. Sad to say I do not see a return visit in my future. In response to Ken, I visited last Wednesday at noon.

Who tips themselves? Such a shame, the food is good and I’ve been here many times. This last time will be my last. The server took a longtime and never refilled our drinks. When it was time to pay I specifically told the server that I would be tipping cash so I did not tip on the machine. When I got home I noticed that they had tipped themselves after the fact. I’ve been in the restaurant business for many years and no matter what you do not tip yourself.

We were really looking forward to trying Honey & Herb based on the reviews and the menu options. I made a reservation for us to visit on a Sunday during a drive back to LA from Ventura. Unfortunately, the service, food, and quality is not living up to its hype. 1) first of all, when we arrived, no one was there to greet us or the other customers. We waited nearly 10min for the owner and other staff member (both standing off to the side) to acknowledge us. 2) once they did, they found our reservation and proceeded to take another 45 minutes past our reservation time to clean a table and seat us! 3) there were a lot of empty tables and I even offered the owner to help clean the tables since the busboy was taking about 15 minutes to wipe a table and reset it 😳😳 4) once they finally took our orders (we ordered everything at the same time due to the wait) —- we started receiving our food before we even got water or drinks!!! 5) I had to talk to the waiter and wait staff several times to get our food and the remainder of our order. 6) at that point he proceeded to ask me if we wanted “real syrup” for an extra $4. I asked why don’t you serve real syrup already? Waffles are your thing? 7) when the food did arrive it was flavorless, bland and somewhat cold. There were literally no spices in the chicken for the chicken and waffles, but the small cup of potatoes seemed to have flavor. This restaurant could be very good if they work on their service model and actually spice their food properly (especially the fried chicken). It is a cute place and concept but relies more on Instagram popularity than actually being a restaurant. We won’t be returning anytime soon. However, if the owner wants to some help making basic operational changes - feel free to reach out 👍🏼

RESTAURANT ADDED FEE LATER I had a meal with reasonably good food. Server was a little cold, but ok. Nothing out of the ordinary. Completed my payment via QR code and received a receipt for payment, including tipped amount. A few days letter looked at my credit card statement and noticed that the bill looked high. I checked my email receipt and sure enough the restaurant CHANGED THE TIP, and ADDED $15 more after the fact. This is theft plane and simple. Do not go to this restaurant unless you are ok with servers stealing your money! UPDATE: Restaurant replied and said it was a mandatory gratuity fee for larger parties. They apologized and said would refund it, but has not been refunded yet. I have been to a number of restaurants with these added fees and it is clearly labelled on the restaurant, mentioned by the server, and most important shows up when they provide the bill at the end. In this case, the server brought the check, and I paid on a QR code, and received an email receipt confirming my payment. That additional fee was never including at any point, and my final receipt I have in my email included the lower amount. The restaurant later added the fee without everything providing any notice about the fee or the receipt. The only reason I even knew about it was because I was checking my credit card statement and the charge was higher than the emailed receipt I received. The restaurant never showed the charge anywhere. That is just a shady business practice. If the restaurant wants to include this or any other additional fee, that fee should show up on the bill when you pay the check, not secretly added later without any indication it was done.
