Popped in for a visit on a Sunday afternoon and found a small piece of heaven. Fish and chips with mushy peas, divine. Whiskey selection, amazing. Service was spectacular. Shout out to Sarah and Paul for taking the time to chat about upcoming plans and the building. So excited to see more!
We went to the Castle for the first time to support the Orlando Pride event—-what a nice surprise! We’ve been to Ireland and they did a great job on this place. Food, drinks and service fantastic. Paul & Katie both took time to chat with us —-we will be back and highly recommend to others
Higher quality pub. This place has the traditional pub food and beer at a slightly higher price but it is worth it as you leave highly satisfied. Everything appeared to be hand made, even the sauces and toppings, which makes a big difference. I recommend the Kilkenny beer, the soda bread, the Reuben fritters and the bangers and mash. (Everything we tried). It may get busy but there was good service and comfortable seating.
We came in to hear Dave Gilmore play his guitar and sing Irish songs. We follow him when possible. They have other Irish musicians and an Irish jam (music only) on select Sundays. We were taken by the authentic Irish furnishings and have returned several times. As a lover of red ale, I was surprised and pleased to find on tap Kilkenny Irish Cream Ale. Shane (one of others ⁶o 8th I e r55 owners) told us about how his family was from Kilkenny and that beer was a must. It's delicious and has a head like Guinness. He also explained that with the exception of the ceiling, everything else came from Ireland 🇮🇪.open p Hats off the bartenders who are indeed excellent. Sam, Liz, Ally, Sarah, and Emily go out of their way to make you feel at homeopathic r9 p They serve a brunch on Saturday and Sunday from 11 - 3. We highly recommend this Irish bar. Harrison
From the service, decor, food, drinks and sports! You can’t go wrong coming here. We ordered the Brussels Sprouts for an appetizer very delicious and crispy the bacon bits in it were juicy. 🥓 The kids meal come with in house made crispy treat made with lucky charms! Soooo good yes I had to snag a bite of my daughters, LOL. The bangers and mash, well there was NO left overs to take home. Very well balanced and the taste is spectacular. Someone at my table had the Shepherds Pie that comes with a side of the soda bread. 🍞 YUM! 🤤 I ordered the Espresso Martini and it did not disappoint. Wish we had room for the desserts! Thank you for an amazing all round dining experience, we will be back soon 🙌
Happy to have this new pub in our 'hood. It was wall to wall packed on a Thursday night. Staff was friendly & attentive. The build out is masterfully done. Food & drinks were timely despite the crowd, which is A++! I was disappointed with the Brussels appetizer - I love brussels, candied pecans, pork belly & balsamic, but this dish didn't do much for me. Fish & chips were good. The helping was huge & I needed more than a ramekin of ketchup & would have loved some malt vinegar, too. Pass on the peas ... My wife had the Shepherd's Pie & enjoyed it. Another huge portion! We both took to-go boxes home. Good stuff ... Welcome to College Park!
My sister, Dalia treated me for my birthday to The Castle with our mami!! The food is Amazing, the desserts are delectable & the Guinness beer & Irish coffee was just right! Our server Ethan was spot on with all of his recommendations & service!! Thank you Ethan for making my birthday memorable! We met the owner & chef Jose! Very personable place! We will definitely be returning very soon🥰 February 2, 2025
Love love love this place! So happy I found it. Food was AMAZING!! I met the owner. Waitress was so nice and patient. Answering all of our questions. It is one of my favorite places to eat! You will love it!
Found The Castle only recently. Great place to relax, enjoy a pint. Emily made me feel like I had been coming there for years. Sam and Allie are great behind the bar. Great service, great personalities. Had the chance to meet Paul the owner. Made it a point to stop by and say hi and make sure I felt welcomed. Looking forward to my next visit. Mike Mac
I can only thank the restaurant; they delivered more than I expected. The food was wonderful, the service perfect, the drinks, the beer, everything was very good. It's worth visiting this cozy, pleasant, and wonderful place. And in particular, I would like to thank the waitress Elizabeth.
Unexpectedly great later night fare! I had the goat cheese salad with salmon... Wow! Excellent - especially at 9 pm at night on a week day! Oh! I almost forgot - SODA BREAD! It was so good I got a 2nd portion! 🍞
Great authentic Irish bar nestled in quiet road with plenty parking space. I Ventured in here to watch Ireland play Portugal and had a great experience. Very nice staff behind the sticks and the food was very very good and affordable. Overall id say one the best Irish bars in Orlando regarding prices and service. .the locals here are very nice people. Will definitely go back.... 5 🌟 pub
My friends and I stopped into the pub for a drink for the first time and had an absolutely amazing experience, We can not wait to come back. Allie and Harmony were our bartenders and I can not express how rare it is to find such fabulous service in Orlando. They played such current music that made us stay for another round!
I've been to the castle throughout the last fewcmonths and I have to say that the quality of the food on the dinner shift are like night and day. The food from the night crew far exceeds my expectations. I usually get a steak dinner and it has ALWAYS been exceptional!!! Compliments to the dinner chef!!!
The Castle Irish Pub is one of the best spots I’ve found for an evening out. The décor takes you straight to Ireland, the drink list is deep with great spirits and ales, and the food hits hard—think authentic Irish fare with a Florida twist. Live music and a lively vibe round out the experience. Highly recommend this gem in Orlando’s College Park neighborhood.
The Castle is one the coolest Irish Pubs in Orlando, FL! We were invited to The Castle after the O-Town Hurling Tournament a few weekends ago and was immediately welcomed with curry fries and hashbrowns & bacon that the host club catered for us. After consuming multiple portions of this, I was still hungry so I ordered a Shepherd's Pie with a pint of Guinness at hit the spot! This was the best Shepherd's Pies that I've had an Irish Pub so far. It was incrusted with crispy cheddar cheese, the meat was finely chopped, the potatoes were smooth & creamy, and overall it was perfect. I took half of it home and it tasted great cold as well. Great Irish Pub in Orlando, great staff, great food, and every meal supports Hurling & Gaelic Sports in Orlando and in the Southeast. Abú The Castle!
We have been here twice before but I must have forgotten about how good it is. Omg they just added an amazing chicken sandwich to the menu too. Not very irish but oh so delicious! We loved trying it and how sweet honey and crunchy chix were balanced on a fresh brioche roll. Kids had chicken nuggets that were actually all white meat chicken and hand breaded. Not your typical frozen preproccessed product. We also got the reuben sandwich. The thick corned beef and pickled cabbage really hit the spot and the meet was cut thicker then other reubens I have had in the past. Flavor was absolutely delicious. Live music and great service by Andrea. Ty for a delicious dinner and I hope you stick around for many years.
A little loud for my taste, but I’m not as young as I used to be. A fun, true-to-name Irish pub with great and on-point food. I had an ice-cold Guinness with fish and chips, and it hit the spot. My wife and daughter enjoyed the shepherd's pie—another very good dish. My son had the stew, and all I can say is he polished it off rather quickly. The music was great, and my grandson enjoyed dancing to the Irish tunes. If you're in the area, stop by for some good food and great entertainment, and if you're younger, you won’t find a livelier place than this! Parking can be limited when it's busy.
Perfect Irish pub. The soda bread was delicious, plenty of Guinness on tap. Tried a new beer by the bar tenders recommendation, Sullivan’s Irish Gold, and it was delicious. Watched the a Man United Game and had a great time (regardless of the awful result). When a place and leave you feeling great, regardless of your team, I consider it a good time. Will be back to taste more Irish concoctions and enjoy some Irish meals. Slainte!
I have now been here twice and each time has been enjoyable. The atmosphere is wonderful, quiet, and aesthetically pleasing. The staff is attentive and friendly and the food is top notch and served in a timely manner. Specifically, I’ve had the shepherds pie, soda bread and chowder. My friend treated me for the first time on my birthday and they let me choose a dessert on the house in honor of the occasion. Let’s just say, their bread pudding is the best I’ve had! Today, I brought another friend of mine back and we had the same lovely experience. I also appreciate that they have their own parking lot so I don’t have to park on the street if I don’t want to.
What a find! Classy isn't the first word I usually think of when I think Irish pub, but this place certainly is! Great vibe, great service, great food! We had the Reuben fritters but they were outshined by the pork belly poutine which was amazing, I'll be getting a side of that gravy to dip everything in from now on. A lot of care and pride are evident everywhere here. We will certainly be back!
Just back from Ireland a few weeks! Wowww this place was phenomenal. Food (Shepherds Pie/Irish Stew) were on point and best Guinness we’ve had in the States
If you're looking for a slice of Ireland right in your own backyard, look no further than The Castle Irish Pub and Restaurant! From the moment you step inside, you're greeted by a warm and inviting atmosphere that instantly transports you back to the cozy pubs of Doolin and Galway. The decor is charming, and the ambiance is just right for a relaxed evening out. The menu is a delightful homage to traditional Irish fare. I couldn't resist trying the classic Fish and Chips, and it was everything I hoped for and more! The fish was perfectly light and crispy, and the accompanying mashed peas were the find of the night! Oh yeah, and the fries were prettydarn good as well. What I felt truly sets The Castle apart, though, is the staff. They are incredibly friendly and attentive, always ready to offer recommendations or a helping hand with a smile. It felt like we were part of a big family, which made our experience even more enjoyable. And let's not forget about the drinks! The extensive selection, including Guinness on tap and a variety of Irish whiskeys, is perfect for those looking to unwind. Plus, they always have the top sports events playing on the television, making it a great spot to catch a match with friends. Overall, The Castle Irish Pub and Restaurant is a gem that combines delicious food, a welcoming atmosphere, and fantastic service. Whether you're a fan of Irish cuisine or just looking for a cozy place to relax, this pub is a must-visit. I can't wait to return for another round of those amazing Fish and Chips! Cheers! 🍻
Having made the trip from Mt Dora specifically to see the Folk Music Jam, it was a little disappointing that barely any seating afforded a view of the group. 😢 Thankfully, we could still hear them. Our server, Harmony, took outstanding care of us! Not only did she make great food suggestions, she even insisted on having a beer repoured because it didn't look right. The look of the place is beautiful, with cozy booth seats and bar seating. The sound of the session completed the experience. My group's food was good, but my fish and chips were merely okay. My wife's Ruben tasted great though.
We absolutely loved the vibe of The Castle - it reminded me so much of the cozy Irish and English Pubs I've visited in Europe. The workers there were so welcoming, always ready to help with a smile on their faces. Just like in London, we couldn't resist ordering the classic Fish n Chips, and let me tell you, it did not disappoint! The dish came with mashed peas and perfectly cut fries that were just divine. We couldn't help but snap a few photos to remember the delicious meal. It was such a treat to enjoy a fantastic meal! All in all, a truly delish experience!

If you are looking for a warm welcoming Irish pub/restaurant I can’t recommend the castle in college park enough. It’s a great place to enjoy a drink or grab some good food. Servers are always friendly. I think the bartenders names were Allie and Emily.

Love The Castle! Have been a handful of times now and the food is always great. We love the curry fries! Everything we have ordered has been tasty, so really can't go wrong. Love the fish and chips, and the Reuben is one of the best I've had. Love that Kilkenny is on draft. It's our go-to Irish pub.
Brought my mom in to try this place out since I was in town. Loved it. Awesome atmosphere, delicious food and out waitress Harmony was being wonderful. Attentive and always smiling! Brussel sprouts were amazing. Mom had fish and chips, which were big pieces of fish she lived, and I had shepherds pie.... well prepared and hit the spot! I'll be back next time I'm in town. 🫶
Made reservations for Valentine’s Day as we were visiting from NC. I loved every bit of this place! It was warm and cozy, staff were friendly, food and drinks were incredible, and the live music was good! The Ribeye was delicious. Definitely will come back if ever in the area again.
I've been here several times. Honestly the food fluctuates between good and great. But most recently they had traditional Irish music performed by an authentic Irishmen and it ...added to the experience. I know most nights it's relatively quiet and you can converse and eat but ... I love a good bar song, singing out loud , and sharing the experience even if you're alone. Love Johnny Snags. Love drinking songs, love great food served well, love a bar intimate enough that when the music dies you hear the hum of socialization.

We went here on a Saturday night. Not sure what is going on I know it's newly opened. Anyways, I ordered a Guinness It took 15 minutes to get it when I did it was flat not like it should be. There was a lot of waiting for stuff to be delivered. My partner Ordered fish and chips. It came out burned so we had to return it. I ordered another beer This also took 15 minutes and when she did return The server said they were out of my selection so I ordered another one that took another 10 minutes LOL.. It's interesting because there were plenty of staff but I don't think they had enough bar tenders. The couple sitting next to us ordered something that was also out of stock, so we ended up leaving. They had a guy playing music. But to be honest, it was pretty bad. It wasn't real Irish at all. $8.50 for a dentist. A little pricy for me.
11/2024: Been here 4 times now and I like this place in general. Good beer, good vibe, beautiful place, clean, nice servers, etc. Live music sometimes. The food is still hit and miss. Fish and chips are excellent, fries and most appetizers are great, wings were okay - some crispy and juicy while some dried out. The Irish stew wasn't really a stew, but more like meat and mash with some sauce, and the lamb was way overcooked / tough. And still think everything is a dollar or two higher than it should be. 3/2024: Beautiful place! Fancy for pub feels. Well lit, nice materials, very clean, even the chairs are nice. Friendly people. Food is ok so far. Chicken was fried a little heavy / oily for my taste, but tasty. Fries are fantastic. Wasn't crazy about their chowder, which was thinner and not as creamy as other Irish seafood chowder I've had, more red too like Manhattan, but weaker. Curry is nothing special, curry fries weren't as good as Harp and Celt. Will be back to try their food a few more times to get a better gauge. A bit pricey for what you're getting, especially beer prices, but also salads with protein. But kids menu prices are appropriate.
Ethan was our server, very attentive and friendly. The food came out a little slow, but it was happy hour. The Reubens were good but needed kraut. The slain chicken sandwiches came out a little burnt. I ordered a fish plate as a replacement and it was very good. The music playing was Bruno Mars, it should be Irish music. What appears to be a stage sits upon the front corner, I believe that they a live band starting at 8pm. We finished off the evening with a chocolate Guinness cake and Creme brulee which were very good. Overall I think it's as good or better than and cheaper than Raglan Road in Disney springs.
Came early for Sunday brunch not too busy. Drinks were good and meals had large portions. It appears they have a good happy hour so we will be coming back to check that out.
Food: First time there. The Shepard's pie was yummy. It had the right amount of everything. The fish & chips were pretty good. I wish the fish was a bit crispier and same goes with the fries. They were decently good but kinda soggy since they were underneath the fish. I don't have the chowder soup but my friends said it needed more seasoning. Service: the service was nice and quick. Ambiance: it looked like a cute Irish pub and it was clean. They had a Lionel Messi bobble head so that was cool to see!

Great atmosphere and server was excellent! Good selection of drinks . Food disappointing ! Sausage and mash was swimming in a bowl of gravy . Not served correctly. Roast was disappointing because it had potato wedges( oven type) instead of roast potatoes. and a horrible stove top stuffing , with poor quality tinned carrots It was all cold. Plenty of roast meat tho ,although tough . Wouldn’t choose again . Beef and lamb casserole looked nice! The cooked breakfast tho , that looked a great choice ! Great Irish music and friendly server . Would go back because the atmosphere and server was good , but stick to a cooked breakfast!
We went on a slow night and they definitely had cut some of the staff or had some servers missing. The young lady serving us had most certainly been oversat, at least by a couple 4 tops in addition to our party of 10 and a couple other random tables. So, that aside, (and i gave service 5 stars cuz she deserved that) the food came out with several very correctable mistakes but the corrections took forever. None of us ate at the same time. The soda bread is spot on! Fish and chips also delicious. Shepards Pie was just average. It was fairly expensive but I expected that based on the address. Its a beautiful area to walk around. We were able to find street parking on Edgewater without an issue.
This was my first time visiting the establishment. Upon arrival, we were not greeted and were simply directed to a table without being asked for our seating preference, despite observing other guests being offered options. When I asked the server how the fish dip was prepared, her response felt dismissive, as she stated she did not understand the question. I proceeded to order regardless and added a Caesar salad, inquiring whether an egg could be included. The request was declined without explanation. Overall, the food was acceptable; however, the level of customer service did not meet expectations.
Placed order at 10:25-10:30 pm. Asked the bartender that was taking my order how big the chicken tenders were. She said don’t worry they’re huge. She told me the food would be ready in 15 minutes. Showed up at 10:45, she tells me the food is almost done it’ll be out in a couple minutes. The food wasn’t done till 11pm, which is fine I understand things happen. But then I saw the price. $15.99 for the chicken and then charged $1 for an extra sauce. $16.99 for this meal, you can be the judge. Giving it 3 starts because the spice bag meal option was very flavorful.
The group was crowded into a small area for our viewing party. The way it was set up, having something to eat was a little difficult. The shepherd's pie bites were cleverly made into appetizers, though the dipping sauce was rather salty. The server was pleasant, and she made us feel welcome.
Nice place and staff, but... The fish and chips would of been great but dish had absolutely no flavor, tasted like the fish was soaked for days in water. The chips were good and so were the tacos. Here's the kicker, fish and chips, tacos, two beers and a soda plus tip= $71 dollars...... $21 fish and chips $10 beer and soda was $4... Definitely not worth the bill.. don't have a problem paying for good food but this wasn't it, and the beverage overpricing was crazy...

The soda bread is spot on! Fish and chips also delicious. Shepards Pie was just average. It was fairly expensive but I expected that based on the address. Its a beautiful area to walk around. We were able to find street parking on Edgewater without an issue.
