1501 Uptown Gastropub

Wonderful place just north of downtown Palm springs. We were a large group of 10, but the wait staff were wonderful, friendly, and accommodating. Our food was fantastic! We had a wide selection of items and everyone said all the meals were excellent.

We ordered/shared the beet salad (no Pic! Boo!) and the short rib (pic)! Delicious! The short rib was so tender and perfectly prepared that it pulled apart with ease. Very attentive and engaging staff! LOTS to choose from!! Nice bar and good variety of spirits, wines, and beers! Indoor/outdoor seating, too! We will be back!

Had a fantastic dinner here with my group of girlfriends. Francis, our waitress was really fun, informative & friendly. She helped us picked the most popular dishes and they were all fabulous! We order a lot of dishes to share so we can sample everything. Portions are good and seasoned perfectly. My friends gushes over the melon soup, melt in your mouth pork shoulders & short ribs. I personally liked the refreshing burrata strawberry salad & date salad. The highlight is definitely the very light & fresh fish & chips. Francis said their fish is flown in daily, they don't use frozen fish. The chips are sliced thinly so it's extra crispy. I highly recommend this restaurant if you like trendy tasty food.

Delicious, fresh food that is creative. Recommend the onion rings, pretzel and Linguini carbonara. Unfortunately, the service was poor. It took a long time to get our drinks and even longer after that to get our appetizers. Only then, could we place our entree orders. One entree was incorrect and took even longer to get the proper one in it's place. Drinks (soda) during the meal took multiple requests. Unfortunately, poor service can ruin the overall experience.

Went to Palm Springs for our anniversary and had an appetizer at 1501 uptown Gastropub. It was super delicious. If we were a bit more hungry, we would have stayed for dinner, but the dish itself was very satisfying! The vibe is great, and so is the service.

Loved the atmosphere! If you want to sit outside, you can get fresh air along with heated patios. Inside provides a nice warm and inviting setting. Full bar with plenty of tasty options. Lemon drop was my go to! It was good—not too strong, but missing more of the lemon flavor for me. We had the pulled pork sandwich and the 1501 (Bacon cheeseburger) and both were full of flavor. Caesar was our server and he provided exceptional service. Also, dog friendly. When we come back, we can’t wait to visit.

This is a great place to visit if you're living close to Downtown Palm Springs. The place has a very nice vibe, is super clean and really well decorated. They have a wide range of beer, wine, cocktails & American food to pick from. We ordered 4 cocktails (which were all great BTW) and some onion rings and the check was around $80.

The Ruben and Fries are unique and full of flavor. Very nice portions too. I suggest the Delirium if you're wanting a nice, slightly sweet, malty brew that packs a bunch. The staff were pleasant and attentive, too. The 70's chique setting was comfortable and inviting. We didn't leave one crumb on our plates. 👍🏻👍🏻🏅

Our group went in for Happy Hour before heading out to VillageFest. What a delightful decision. Great food and service. Most of us ordered the 1501 burger and it was quite satisfying with all the toppings neatly stacked between brioche bun. I ordered the cold roasted chicken sandwich based in the waitress' recommendation. It was a tasty pick for a hot day. The fish and chips came out perfectly fried and everyone agreed their fries were fantastic. It's like a a hybrid of a potato chip and French frie. You can't go wrong with the Mocktail selections. We ordered the cucumber mint lemonade, mohito, and Chino canyon mule. Each were refreshing but I liked the Canyon Mule the most with its mango and slight ginger beer flavor.

Wow, one of the best dinner nights in Palm Springs. The atmosphere is excellent and drinks and food were delicious! Willie(one of the owners)stopped by to check on us and make sure we were being taken care of. Our waiter was Edgar, and he was phenomenal and attentive to us, along with his assistant Alma! This place is a must stop to have Dinner or Brunch .

Loved this place! We went here twice during our stay in Palm Springs, once for lunch and once for cocktails. For lunch I had the seared ahi tuna salad which I highly recommend! Great taste, absolutely delicious. My partner ordered the avocado toast with bacon which was also nice but he was jealous of my salad ;). The next evening we ordered the lemon drop and uptown cocktail which were great. Lovely atmosphere and service!

I popped in here solo and was offered a booth - great start. The chilled melon soup had me thinking “I have a blender, I could make that”, but let’s face facts, I cannot. It was sublime. The Cubano was not traditional and traditional all at the same time. Most importantly it was delicious and I highly recommend getting it with slaw. I could taste the pepper in the coleslaw, kudos! Everyone seems to forget to add quality spices. The portions are enormous and this ended up being my late lunch and dinner since I brought home the leftovers. It’s a beautiful setting and I’m looking forward to my return.

This is a trendy, hip, vibrant restaurant with an extensive cocktail list. Food was delicious with hearty portions. It is definitely a place to eat if you have a big appetite. We ordered the Crab Cobb Salad, Shepard's Pie, and the Black Cod.

Great atmosphere, excellent service and fantastic food! Everything we ordered was delicious and every dish has generous portions. Would definitely come back to try other menu items.

Awesome lunch spot! Beautiful decor, great food, diverse drink menu, special shout out to Terrence for making us feel welcome and giving us top-notch service.

Came here on a Friday night around 8pm. Good vibes but not overly crowded. Host and waitstaff were very friendly and helpful. To start, we got winter salad (5/5) and chili corn chowder (5/5). Both were delicious! I enjoyed the beets and candied pecans in the salad and it was a generous portion as well. Hubby loved the corn chowder! It had coconut milk and hint of sweetness but not overpowering. For mains, I got chicken under a brick (4/5) and him linguine carbonara (5/5). We both loved his pasta it was so creamy and hearty. There were some peas and lemon zest to counter the richness of the dish as well. I enjoyed the chicken dish except the chicken was a bit dry and under seasoned but the mashed potatoes underneath was amazing and I couldn’t stop eating it. Drinks hubby got uncle nearest peach lemonade and I got Hendricks basil smash. I liked mine very light and refreshing which is what I wanted. He enjoyed his too but thought it was a bit too sweet for his liking. Overall we enjoyed everything here and would definitely come back if we fine ourselves in PS again!

Excellent spot to grab lunch while we were road tripping through Palm Springs. The service was friendly, they had shaded outdoor seating and the food was flavorful. I had the Spicy Sauteed Shrimp Thai Style salad and it had me wanting a second helping. The shrimp were large and cooked perfectly and the dressing was a perfect complement. A solid choice on a warm afternoon. My partner had the Jackfruit 'crab cakes' and enjoyed them immensely. They had a nice selection of beers as well.

Great atmosphere, knowledgeable waiter and great food! We really enjoyed our dinner at 1501 Uptown. The seats were comfortable which is not always the case, there were several TV's but not too many, the vibe relaxed and enjoyable. The staff was fantastic from the people that seated us to the manager who checked on us. We had sandwiches and drinks. The pastrami sandwich and pulled pork sandwich both were great as were the fries and onion rings. They do take reservations and I definitely would recommend that although we were early enough to get in without a problem!

Nice happy hour and great selection of beers. The atmosphere was trendy and fun. Bartender was attentive and had a great personality. Fun place to go for quick bite and a cocktail

Excellent food and excellent staff! Plenty of room and just a gorgeous space. Can’t wait to come back. Highly recommend the Palm Springs Girl and any of the dessert cocktails (especially the iced Mexican mocha). We also loved the Grilled Tequila Lime Shrimp.

This place is incredible. The cleanest restaurant is have seen in many years. While sitting at the bar, we watched them clean every glass and utensil after being washed. Ensuring that dang lipstick 💄 was not on your glass. Coming here again.

Randomly drove by and saw them open on Christmas day. Wasn't disappointed. Ambience was great( we ate on the patio) . I had the Reuben sandwich with fries which was great. My husband had the cubana which was also great. My daughter had th salmon and everything was made fresh. Loved the fries they were cut with dips in them for better dipping ( could've used more ketchup). We live in Riverside but will definitely be back

The food was ok but not a value for the price. We tried a shrimp Appetizer, burger, fish dinner and grilled chicken with veggies. The veggies were very oily, the burger was too fancy and not tasty enough for all the effort. Good beer and cocktail selections.

The food was delicious, but the service could be better. I asked for hot sauce to an employee and didn’t even stop to acknowledge me. We did enjoy the location and views of the desert. We will be back though

Overall great food and service!! Recommend ordering the chicken and short rib, very flavorful. Pretzel was tasty but the dipping sauces disappointed. I could have gone without the Heinz mustard and $6 cheese dip. A variety of cocktails and mock tails. Service was really quick, almost too quick, food came out almost 5 min after ordering. Beautiful view of the mountains and very nice open air restaurant. Recommended checking it out!

Been to 1501 Uptown Gastropub a few times now in the past 3 months. Overall it's pretty good. The food, has always been good ingredients and taste fine. Started with the onion rings that were fine. Tonight I had the "spicy sauteed shrimp thai salad", but it didn't live up to it's name at all. First, there was nothing spicy about it. Also, the dressing was really lite... almost like just flavored water, but it did have several nice big shrimp in there. So that salad was not my favorite, Companions had the Cubano sandwich that was good, and the chicken caesar salad they liked. Service was impeccable, and has always been friendly and attentive here. It's also a very pleasant space, big open windows and a nice wrap around patio seating area in the nice weather.

Great spot for watching sports. Lots of TVs. Bar service a bit slow to be honest. But food is great

Stopped in for Lunch. I had the Cubano sandwich and my husband had the 1501 Burger. Both were delicious but we're better with some additional Mayo. The fries were crispy and excellent. Overall a great lunch. Back for Sunday breakfast...I had the smoked salmon/trout plate and my husband had the eggs Benedict. Both were excellent! We sat outside on the south side and it was delightful. Will definately be back! Back this time for sandwiches. I had the Ruben and my husband had the country fried chicken. Both sandwiches were large. The fries on both were rather soft. Definitely not crisp and not particularly hot either. Both sandwiches were also dry. I would suggest asking for some addit

Came in around 2ishhhh place wasn’t to packed, had plenty of free tables. Drinks & Food got served pretty quickly. Got a avocado toast with pickled onions that’s was pretty tasty. Tried 1501 beny and it was ok not much flavor but mostly plain so no further comment on that. French toast with bananas was delicious and juicy that how it suppose to be in my opinion. Over all experience is great will come back to try different dishes! Cheers!

Valentine’s night, no reservation sat at the bar. Had the Wild Mahi Mahi-not too wild about it as it was a small portion for the price, a bit too pan fried and overwhelmed by the peas and corn in cream it sat upon. Excellent service at the bar, multiple seating areas.

I don't like spicy food so perhaps I would have enjoyed the Thai shrimp salad if I had used more dressing. The service is Excellent. The sour cherry bread pudding was missing the cherries. Really enjoyed the smoked salmon and trout starter. Decent creme brulee.

It's a cool place, and the service is friendly and efficient, but there is a problem in the restroom. I wasn't thrilled with the portion sizes of the proteins, but everything was well prepared. You'll get a small-ish cut of meat, then they cover the plate with their admittedly delicious fries. So expect that. The restroom problem is that the sink faucet handle must be tightly gripped to turn it, and beyond the fact that the handle is filthy and disgusting (and apparently has never been thoroughly cleaned since it was installed), I'm pretty sure it's not ADA-compliant. Look into it. In their efforts to have rustic cool fixtures, they've made it impossible for a portion of their client base to use them. I posted pics and a video that shows its operation.

The food was delicious, each item on the menu had great flavor and filling portions. The restaurant was beautiful and was a nice quiet place to enjoy dinner with friends and family.

Nice spot and close to our resort. Walking distance on Main Street. The food was slow and too cool for my taste. Service was so so…. could’ve been better. Atmosphere was nice and place was clean. ⭐️🏈

We recently visited 1501 Gastropub for dinner on a Friday night, and the first thing that stood out was the vibe. The atmosphere is lively and inviting, and the outdoor seating is absolutely fabulous—perfect for a relaxed evening out. It’s clearly a popular spot, as the restaurant was packed when we arrived. We started with the crispy calamari, which was genuinely delicious. Perfectly cooked and nicely seasoned, but the real star was the aioli—it elevated the dish and was easily the highlight of our meal. Unfortunately, the experience went downhill after that. Our dinner took a very long time to arrive, which was disappointing, especially given how busy the night already was. I ordered the entrée portion sautéed shrimp Thai-style salad, and sadly, it didn’t deliver. The dressing was underwhelming and tasted more like a mix of soy sauce and vinaigrette rather than the bold, balanced Thai flavors we were expecting. Not sure if this was a one-off situation, but between the long wait and the lackluster main dish, we didn’t end up enjoying the evening food-wise as much as we’d hoped. The ambiance and starters show a lot of promise, but consistency in the kitchen would really make a difference.

We stopped here before going up the Aerial Tramway - the Sunday before Christmas (2025) before noon. The place looked barely open - so it was not that busy inside. We were seated right away and checked out the menu - and brought waters. Then we waited.....and waited.....and waited....and waited. The picture of my menu was at 12:14 after we waited a while and knew what we wanted. The picture of the food was at 12:45 - Seriously! The server we had seemed extremely interested in the one table with a large group of guys. The food was pretty decent - especially the chip/fries - they were unique. I had the French Toast breakfast (some kind of 1501 Breakfast) My wife had an omelet and my daughter had the Caprese Panini. Pro Tip - don't order "The 1501" as there's like 10 items called "The 1501.....Odd. We waited yet again for the check, which was just a little kiosk device - he could have brought that much sooner....I ended up waiting by myself at the table at the end. 2 stars because the food was decent....but the service sucked. I even tipped the guy, which I shouldn't have.

I decided to try this place because it was relatively close to my hotel. As you walk in, the atmosphere is nice. There seemed to be a lot of people so my expectations were higher than normal. I ordered the tequila tiger shrimp to start and it was a rough start to say the least. The shrimp was over cooked so the texture was rubbery and there was simply no flavor to the shrimp. The trend continued with our main dishes as well. I had the Kobe short rib and it was basically a slab of meat with an overwhelming amount of sauce poured on top. You would think for a $40 plate you’d get something decent. This was also one of the most popular dishes according to our server. Overall it was just a bellow average experience. Our server didn’t really check on us. It got so bad that I had to ask someone else for the check. If you’re in the area I would suggest you try a different restaurant.

The worst service I have ever had for a place that had hardly anyone in it. Got seated and served water right away. Knew what we wanted within 5 minutes. We waited 15+ minutes as several servers looked over at us with complete confusion, but not one came to our table to serve us. I had to give it one star to do the survey, but they were worth minus 6 stars. We spent $0, and group size here should also be 0.

The hostess team was not hospitable. We had reservations they gave us a table that had no flatware and was in the middle of the restaurant while a full row of booths were clean open and set. We asked to move they said it was reserved! No one came to sit in them and WE DID have a reservation?!? Their excuse they had a busy lunch, um it’s now 3pm it’s not busy anymore I also witnessed them try to give a bad bar table to an older couple. They looked around and decided to leave. Owners and management and other staff be aware of your welcoming committee it will reflect on tips and returning patrons.
