We stop going there because food & service was not good after owner changed. But after few years tried again and it was really great service and food was also great. Good options for being vegetarian with no onions and garlic..

The Lamb Vindaloo is very good. The lamb was cooked perfectly and the sauce was bursting with flavor. The staff are super polite. I’ll be back again.

Great food good staff must try thai food. Buffet is really good lot of vegetarian options. Green curry is a must try. They have chai too as part of buffet. Owner manager is really hospitable. Very clean . Free parking.

I recently had takeout from here and i have to say its the best chili chicken dish ive had .. i also ordered the LoliPop Chicken with Spices ... Delicious ... i will be Dining in Soon with Friend's so they can taste the freshness and quality of the dishes... I would have added pix of the food but i ate it ALL....lol

Went here for dinner with my family, all around great. Samosa, naan, and butter chicken were delicious. Generous portions, lovely staff, and good atmosphere.

We come here 2-3 times a month for our work lunches on the weekend for their buffet. Food is fantastic. Atmosphere is comfortable. Staff is very helpful. Always a great experience during our most stressful work days. It’s a nice break.

Finally found some truly good Indo-Chinese food! The menu offers a great variety, and every dish was spot-on. Excellent service from start to finish and a pleasant ambience. Highly recommended.

I came for the first time in Spice Route Melange. They are preparing Bengali foods for the Durga Puja. The food is awesome. I could not believe so many types of Bengali food are available I this restaurant! Bengali type Fish chop, dish- Sutton, Ching machete malai curry - all are for the first time ever I got in the USA. The patrons are very friendly and caring. I would recommend all my Bengali friends to come here and get the festive vibes and enjoy the authentic Bengali cuisine.

This place deserves a way higher rating than it has! Ordered the manchow soup, dahi kebab and chilli chicken and felt I was transported back home to Kolkata! Excellent food, tasted very fresh even as I ordered delivery. Will try in person soon!

I am staying at the Hyatt which right next door and have eaten there several times... .for me it is a vegetarian's dream. The choices are many and always delicious. I am especially fond of the dal makani ( brown lentils in tomato sauce with cream) desserts also quite good. RIce pudding is lovely and the strawberry ice cream seems to be homemade and fantastic. Best ice cream I've ever had. The staff is always cordial and welcoming. I love this place.

We went for Lunch buffet on 31st and had a great experience. There was a variety of dishes, both veg n non veg. The deserts were good too, they had Rasmalai, Kheer, gulab jamun n Mishti doi. The spice level meet up the expectations of Indian cuisine. Overall a very good experience

Great food and amazing indo Chinese and indo Thai options in addition to already amazing overall menu. We especially come here for their Thai curries which have a perfect taste. They also customized our catering order to our liking. Our go to for catering Indian food.

We recently had a party at Melange. The food, ambience and service were all outstanding. I have to especially mention the amazing quality of the food. The restaurant has a positive reputation already for its Indochinese cuisine but the Daal Maakhni was the best I have had in any restaurant and other north Indian items (Eggplant , Malai kofta, paneer dishes) were all excellent. The food compares with the best of Indian restaurants , even in India and I highly recommend it. The service also deserves special mention.

We were able to secure a table for 3 on short notice. We arrived and our table was ready immediately on a busy Friday night. We had soup, steamed dumplings, and samosas for appetizers. Delicious! For our entree we had butter chicken, Chana masala and a vegetable curry. It came with basmati rice which was soft and fluffy. We also had naan and roti. Everything was freshly made. Each dish was delectable! 😋 So happy we couldn’t eat it all and now can experience the culinary greatness again tomorrow. My husband asked for his entree to be very spicy and he noticed it was not. Everything was so good he did not send his dish back but will emphasize spicy next time. We will return to this wonderful restaurant!

We had an absolutely wonderful experience at the Bengali buffet at Spice Route, Parsippany. The spread was thoughtfully curated and truly authentic, with every dish reflecting rich flavors and tradition. The staff were warm, attentive, and courteous, and the ambience perfectly complemented the dining experience. Most importantly, the quality and taste of the food were exceptional. Chef Sarfaraz, originally from Kolkata, personally engaged with guests, which added a special touch. He also shared their Bengali buffet calendar—featuring Jamai Shasthi, Poila Boishakh, Bara Din/Christmas, and of course Durga Pujo. We’re already looking forward to going back for the next one!

Love this restaurant. Dudh-sukto sorshe rui, chingri malaicurry, mutton kosha, gandharaj chicken, polau and so on each taste reminds me my hometown Kolkata. The food taste is so authentic , I feel like I’m in my home in Kolkata. The atmosphere and the services are incredible. Price of the buffet is also reasonable. I highly recommend please come and try who truly loves taste of Bengal/Kolkata.

A very clean and minimalist decor ambiance. Thought of trying a new restaurant and We went for a lunch buffet on Saturday. It’s Indian Asian food and food tasted good. Desserts are good too. buffet is almost $23 which is overpriced as compared to items in the buffet.overall great experience.

Chinese dishes were great… I was not quite sure about why there is a word Melange in the restaurant name and asked the manager. As per him "In 2017, the owners of Spice Route, a popular Indian restaurant in Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, took over the restaurant formerly known as Melange in Parsippany so the addition of “by Spice Route” to the restaurant’s name." We were there on holiday week with a few colleagues. It was quite empty, hardly 2-3 tables occupied by patrons. The ambiance was fair. We got the table and settled in, the server was courteous and she took care of us very well. Coming to food, In appetizers, they had Pakora, Baby corn, Samosa in ve option, and in Non-veg – Chicken chili & Tandoori chicken Entrees- ( apart from Bread and Rice) Veg – Kadai paneer, Some Thai dish, Dal makhani Non-veg – Chicken tikka, lamb curry, and some Thai chicken dish Gulab Jamun, Rice pudding, and chocolate moose was in deserts. I liked the samosa and chicken chilly. It was really great. Rest Dishes- not lagging with their counterparts. the buffet was only for $12+tax so its win-win ;)

The service was absolutely overwhelming and just over the top. It is what every restaurant should strive for. We ordered for iftar and came from an hour away. The appetizers were very good spring rolls, dried chilli cauliflower. The main challenge we had with the food was that it was too salty. I think that comes from making large batches but they do need to ease off the salt. Overall the food was good.

It’s a decent place for Indian food! Food was not bad. Service is good. Best is BYOB!! Their veg manchov soup was really good. And then the chicken lollipop. But the chicken korma was very very bland. Ver chettinadu and veg biriyani was ok ok types.

Good food , good ambiance and excellent service. Have had takeout from here but this time accompanied DH to NJ and we stopped here for dinner . The gobi manchurian was just ok, tandoori chaap excellent!! Good haka noodles and coriander chicken.

This was my first visit, and I opted for their buffet. Unfortunately, the vegetarian menu was quite underwhelming. Although they offered a wide variety chole, paneer lababdar, spinach corn (saag corn), stir-fried vegetables, hot and sour soup, lemonade, vegetable pakodi, chana masala, spinach dal, cauliflower pakodi, noodles, naan, white rice, pani puri, and samosa most dishes lacked flavor and texture. The saag corn was especially disappointing, and the stir-fried vegetables tasted like they were made using hot and sour soup as a base. The paneer was extremely tough to eat In contrast, the non-vegetarian selection Goat biryani, garlic chicken, pepper chicken, and Amritsari fish was decent. Among the entire spread, the pani puri, samosa, and a few desserts were the only items I enjoyed. The rasmalai was creamy and well-balanced, but the gulab jamun was overly sweet and hard on the outside, making it difficult to eat. Service was friendly and efficient, especially by the women staff members, which I truly appreciated. The ambiance was fine, but they hosted an event in the same space as the buffet dining, which disrupted the overall experience. It was not so welcoming to share the space and food with event guests. I believe the restaurant should consider closing public dining during private events. Overall, my experience was average at best. The Food was very disappointing and needs improvement. I wouldn't recommend the buffet in its current state unless they make any changes.

The food is quite expensive for the taste. While they offer a good variety, none of the dishes really live up to the price. Their service and ambience are nice, but that alone doesn’t justify the cost. We ordered from the menu—maybe the buffet would offer better value.

It is good, but you need to go by 12.30pm for lunch buffet on week end. Rational pricing of Buffet - 11.95 on weekends; which is really good. But "NO MUTTON in BUFFET". Came here on my wife's B'day; although I mentioned the same while reserving table, I noticed some of the items were over by 1.15pm itself. Closing time was 2pm, so no one can expect food items are over by 1.15pm. Samosa was awesome. And taste wise all the non-veg items were good. I did not get all the items because some of them were over, I can't say how much tasty were they.

Went for the Durga Puja buffet for the first time. Lots of bengali dishes on the menu that you would generally not find in NJ but taste was not good. I have gone there twice before for their usual weekend buffet & always liked their food. But the durga puja buffet was disappointing. I would suggest cutting down to fewer items on the menu to focus on taste & quality.

There was lot of different in the price in online and the price charged on Sunday (December 21st there was double the regular price). It was only mentioned at billing that there was special price because of feast. We ended up paying the double the price, we are disappointed.

The whole experience is aweful !! We placed an order through Door Dash which is our very first order from Doordash and also from Melange. Quantity: Quality of the trays can be seen in the photos.. We placed order for a dry chilli chicken and Chef Special fried rice. Dry chilli chicken should be of 16oz quantity and the tray is only 2/3rd portion is filled ..same with fried rice .. only 2/3rd portion is filled. Very much disappointing experience ! Quality : Quality of this food is not good. My wife did not like the food at all. It is smelling old and not fresh. We called the customer front desk. They offered to deliver the food again. But since it was late night already, we could not go pick up again. Wish we will get our money back for the order.. PS: We have not been to this restaurant before. and this is our first experience. ***Response to the reply from owner : I understand that you may be serving just 10oz (since it is only half filled in 16oz container) of chilli chicken for 9$. But what about dinner menu chef special fried rice. Do you serve that in 22 oz container which 2/3 (.i.e. approx 16oz filled) filled.. What is your explanation it ? you did not reply about it ....

Horrible service, very slow, rude people. The food took a ridiculous amount of time to be prepared. Other customers were complaining as well. The response from the waiter - it’s busy. There are three tables of customers in the restaurant … I’ve been waiting for more than 30 minutes, and the order was supposed to be done 20 minutes ago … will never come back!

one of the worst place to Dine in the tall guy with the attitude he carry and not accepting the uncooked chicken they were serving and saying you being not from US do not how the food tastes.. And this guy (manager or the owner) has no regret of accepting that food was uncooked even after leaving the entire bowl with uncooked chicken peices. This restaurant is a shame for serving Indian food will never recommend anyone for food.. worst ever experience

We ordered fried rice and Malabar shrimp gravy. The fried was ok. But the Malabar shrimp gravy was way too oily and just had 4pieces of shrimp and tasted very worst. We spent around $42 for both which not even worth for it. The staffs were rude and doesn't accept the negative feedback from any one. I still dont know how they run a restaurant with poor food with high cost which is not worth at all for quantity as well as quality. Please be aware before you order. Especially dont order in night they give you stale food.

I ordered online and they said 30 minutes to get order ready. When I went to pick up. He said 10 more minutes. I waited 10 minutes, he said 15 more minutes and when I asked he gave silly reason… this was my first time order from this restaurant. But unfortunately this became my last order… we have other punctual restaurants in the town. 😡😡

I went to there. Buffet some foods good but tasted like spoil. Also not good quality. Wasted spend 35.00 per one person buffet lunch and dinner! Expensive?! Huh?

We had a pathetic experience eating here. Firstly, food was served luke warm and they had to re-heat it twice.. Then they served uncooked meat to us and this guy name Shreekant (owner or Manager)has audacity to say that you do not how chicken tastes as no one has said that before to them, consudering we return back uncooked meat and had eaten our meal with just gravy. The aytitude level was touching the roof and not even a single sign of being apologetic based on the food and service we got. Will never recommend anyone to visit. Shame on how they are running this place with all these lies on how and when food was cooked.

I wish I could give zero star! If you are concerned for your health, do not eat here! They do not prepare fresh food, make chicken in the morning, mix it with gravy, warm up and serve - Manager/Owner himself admitted it proudly. He said you dnt know about food industry. If Indian businesses serve food like this to their customers, I am feeling sorry for their health. Just because we were travelling and came from a different town does not mean we don't know how food is prepared - a kid can also tell you difference between cooked and uncooked food. The manager/owners behaviour was demeaning, did not acknowledge uncooked food and upright ORDERED us to make payment when we were raising food concerns. Very unpleasant experience, whole meal was ruined and we paid around $90.

The manager or the owner at the restaurant needs to learn basic customer service as he was straightaway rude and judgemental. When a customer is sharing kind feedback about raw meat food which is health hazard and you dont even acknowledge it that shows what kind of business you are doing. On top of that he says that you dont look like from here just because we were not from US was not at all required, if we can come we can pay as well. Just a friendly advice for them, try to acknowledge if somebody is showing with proofs. Small acceptance wont harm your so called attitude.
