The cashier is terrible barely audible and doesn’t answer basic questions about price directly which is how I ended up paying $11 for an orange juice (Hablo español, así que no fue un malentendido). Also, the google menu is outdated about 50-75% the current price. The food has always been good but clarify price because some items have gone up 11% - 40% from the menu posted online on their site.

Decided to stop in here for the first time ordered a pastor burrito the meat was awful. Mostly big chunks of hard fat. I basically spit out a quarter of this burrito due to the big chunks of hard fat meat if it even was meat.

Not only are the tortillas handmade but you get a scoop of hash browns freshly made with your breakfast dish. Great cafe de olla and the portions are fantastic.

Quality decreased, portions decreased. I miss the old placita de Durango. This "new" restaurant is the same as the previous just under new name and maybe new management, foods decent, it was better before.

The food portions are really small, and pricey we had 3 breakfast '"specials" and 2 can sodas for 48$ turns out even though it says special it's regular price, so they are false advertising I wouldn't recommended it you're better off going down the block to la haciendita they have better food bigger portions for half the price

Came in during the week for lunch and there was only one other table being waited. the wait time for the food was approximately 35 minutes for 3 gorditas & burrito. Burrito (Durango style) I give it an 8/10. Gordita Discada-5/10, it has bacon,spicy pepper,wiener, & veggies. Chicharrón en salsa verde-0/10. The refried beans tasted like they were canned beans and the chicharrón was from the one you get at grocery stores that are already bagged, the lard flavor just numbed my mouth. One bite and couldn’t even eat it. Gordita de Chile pasado 7/10. This one was pretty good and tasted like the authentic Durango style gorditas de Chile pasado. The waitress was extremely nice and attentive.

The food is good but the thing that made mad about this place is I order a Gordita de pollo idk correct me if I’m wrong but I’m thinking all gorditas come with at least a spoon of beans with the meat and noo it was just the meat like and they are almost 5$ a Gordita and u can’t be bothered to put a small amount of beans ? I’m a person where I like the food I will come back more times but Sandy if they don’t change this bc is somewhat expensive I will Have to go somewhere else

The drinks are horrible. They have one cashier and one cook. The cashier does not know how to work the front of the house alone. She’s been there for some years now and still acts as if she doesn’t understand a person who is placing an order who speaks English, off of a Spanish menu. The Jamaica (juice) was watered down. I never tasted hibiscus so water down in my life. The lemonade was water down, and it tasted like soapy water, with little sugar, like the container that it was in wasn’t cleaned all the way. The cashier needed the cook to come to the front to explain to her what I was saying, and when I told them about my dissatisfaction of the juice, they ignored me, laughed and walked away, and I had to really speak up for myself in order to get some clarity and attention to my issue, which was never resolved. They need more help, someone with business skills and another cashier who speaks English.

Me and my son both got sick . I had chilaquiles with carne asada . And my son tacos de asada. The Chile was expired tasted sour. And the meat me and my son ate was no good . As soon as we left we both started having pains in our stomach and we got home throwing up.

Call before going to the restaurant to check hours of operation. Google has that they close a 8 but at our arrival the server informsd us they are now closing at 4 pm. (Gave 1 star because I didn't eat at the restaurant, I will but date once we eat here. Heard the gorditas were 👌🏾)
