The bar itself, which is made of lovely natural wood, contributes to the beauty of the location. The selection of beers was a little more fascinating.

The truffle fries are double fried and you actually taste the truffle vs other bars just covering regular fries in Parmesan and Rosemary. Unexpected and delightful addition to the night!

If you are looking for a bar to have a drink and chill by yourself or with some friends/family this is the best bar in that I recommend to go when you are in seaport NY. I’ve been there many times with my friends and not only that they have a delicious food but the staffs and bartenders are amazing!! This is truly one of the hidden gems of NYC, FiDi or otherwise. Recently worked with the manager (Brian) and his team to host a going away party for a friend in the upstairs area. It was PERFECT. All we were hoping for was a hosting space, but they went above and beyond. The area was already festively decorated, they had a whole TV setup for music and videos, and even had a private server take care of us for the evening. When our group did venture downstairs to the bar on occasion, Diego was AWESOME and kept the drinks and good vibes flowing. Had such a fun night and will definitely be back!!

I confess, The Hideaway drew me in for reasons I won’t go into. Forget about the past. The clock has been reset and everything is new for better or worse in The City. The Hideaway quality food — try The Hideaway loaf snack while you decide — the punch if you want to forget or not feel any pain. $6 beers… what? Few know how to cook chicken wings. This place does it great.

We got there around 5pm and it wasn't crowded which was nice. The food was awesome. The only negative was it was almost impossible to find! I saw the review on yelp which is why i was looking for it, but it took us about 20 min walking around to find it! But def worth the effort!

The chef was out so I we couldn't get anything to eat. Otherwise would have gotten the extra star.

Love this dunkin donuts and baskin robbins ice cream 31 spot! This one has the most clean atmosphere, tasty goodies and good-service staffs unlike some small franchises where you are greeted with unhappy staffs with attitude. This one is not like that! Coffee is good and fresh and ice cream taste great all the time. They were selling baskin robbins voucher $5 for five one scoop ice cream cone and I am taking advantage of that as I love their cheery jubillee and green pistachio! Not to mention it is a big saving 50-60% off deal? :) I am glad I live near by and I can stop by here for delicious and fresh goodies when I am hungry.

Cool Americana decor and a welcoming vibe on a quiet corner. The bar itself is a beautiful natural wood and adds to the charm of the place. Beer options were on the more interesting side of things albeit not microbrewery (they had a couple of Montauk on tap).

Upstairs is where it's at. Leather chairs and couches in the back. Music at the bar is too loud. Shishito peppers are delicious, beer selection is good, and staff are helpful and eccentric! Good for a low key event and upstairs would be good for a small happy hour.

Food wasn’t anything special but it was decent. The waitress dropped my food on my boyfriend and they promptly brought out a new one. They also made his food wrong and didn’t make it buffalo chicken. I’m not one to complain or be a Karen, but you’d think they would comp something after dropping food on a customer and getting the order wrong. Nope! We didn’t say anything about it and just paid, but we wont be going back as I feel that was bad customer service. At least comp the $2 for the sauce you forgot...

The place is cute. The food lovely. The bartender was less than griendly however. Maybe she had a bad day, but the ambiance was a bit disturbed by her energy. I do want to try the blue crabs so ill go back and do that..hopefully someone else will be at the helm!

EDIT: I went here for my birthday before a concert and was impressed, but seriously disappointed later on… We asked for shots of tequila before we left and I ran to the bathroom while they were being poured. The server and bartender started speaking to each other in a language my fiancé happens to speak - and they were talking and laughing about how they sold us shots as expensive as our drinks. The worst part is, I gave them a seriously big tip because I thought they were awesome - but really they just took advantage of us on my birthday and laughed about it. The food was still good though.

I was pretty disappointed with this place, first I had no clue that mead had closed which was one of my favorite spots when I lived down here. I figured maybe they had the same great beer selection? Nope just standard stuff and overpriced. We specifically came here for the bloody mary's which were excellent before, and they didn't even have a mix? It was saturday afternoon....come on people.

Their website states that they open at noon. We got here at 1:45 and they are still closed. So our party walked here in the rain for no reason. This is extremely unprofessional. It's 2018, there is no reason that a website shouldn't be up to date. A modern day high school student can run a website.

Worst experience I’ve ever had at a restaurant. Made a reservation on their website and when we arrived were told they didn’t take reservations. After we were finally seated, we were ignored by the wait staff for 15 minutes. We waited an hour after ordering and finally left without eating. Terrible place!

Nightmare service. Took almost ten minutes for them to greet us. After receiving mediocre drinks the entire staff disappeared for another ten minutes. They clearly didn't want us there at 9:45 on a Saturday night. Business must be really good for them to be pushing to close at 10...

Came here after a concert with three friends. The bartender, Austin, refused to give me the check insisting that I kept an open tab. I had to insist at which point he said that that bartenders hate “people like me”, unsure if this was racist, antisemitic, or because I insisted on getting a check after ordering my beer and beers for my friends.

How to lose a new customer? Send the wrong item, and when the customer calls to fix it, have your answering machine pick up, take 4 messages over time and NEVER EVER call back!! AMAZING! You folks should try a different business that doesn't require customer service!

Also some random dude walked up to my boyfriend and I less then 5 minutes we were in there trying to reassure us for help when we didn't even get the chance to sit down to decide, it was uncomfortable and weird don't recommend

Came in and ordered two beers... I was then given two drinks that the bartender and shift manager insisted on giving us. Both drinks were super heavy with alcohol and both employees dismissed us for show to their bar friends. 1 out of 10 because they can't compete with local bar competition. To the owners: your management is going to bleed you dry.

We stopped for a beer after a long bike ride. We were totally ignored. The waiter hit every table but ours. I finally had to ask for the menus that were tucked into his armpit. He gave them to us and began ignoring us again. We left. Will not be back.

Delivered doordash from there. Order was over 20 minutes late. When I asked the bartender about it the second time she began hysterically screaming at me not to talk to her like that even though I was speaking normal. I thought it might be because she was stressed out and I just happened to catch her at a bad time but after reading the other reviews, it appears to be a common occurrence. The food must be kicking because the service is the worst I've ever seen.
