Food was great fresh and hot, staff was very kind
Had a great experience tonight. Paris took our order and then followed up making sure everything was perfect. He really showed exemly high energy.
Experience was all good. We were greeted as we were coming in, & wished a good day, as we were leaving by a very sweet worker. She came to our table & checked on us several times, during her rounds. The food was delicious, especially with the hush puppies included.
Food was served fresh, hot and tasty. Store staff were courteous and polite. No Lobster Bites on the menu. The dining could use an update. One last request, use Heinz Catsup instead of French's. Over all a good visit.
With so many of these locations gone from towns, this was a hella great tasting and nostalgic visit. Highly recommended, just don't forget the make vinegar.
Visited this locale on March 16th evening. Had not been to a Long John Silver in a long time. Wish there was a closer location. Due to the hour had to go thru the drive thru. The service was great, extremely friendly attentive and welcoming. Food was as expected, good fish and chicken. Took me back to a time growing up when used to order the family size meal. Cashier person also made sure my order was right and waited for me to confirm.
Jessica B in drive thru was so nice and helpful when ask for cocktail sauce and forks ..love when you get great customer service!! WILL BE BACK TO PLANO!!!! Wow Devin that run those place has run it into the ground..got family and another meal wouldn't give me 2 more cocktail sauce which wasn't even filled up..really? Spent over fifty bucks and can't give a 5 cent sauce?? We will not be back.
Me and my boy really love this place! We are excited to see the new renovation! WHEN ARE YALL GONNA BE OPEN AGAIN? We're craving those hush puppies!
Sunday night 4/6 at 8:30 the two guys working were awesome. Superb customer service and made my son feel special with giving him a pirate hat. In a time where giving great customer service is almost forgotten, they were excellent
It's Long John Silvers, so it's not a fine dining experience by any means. However, the staff was helpful, food was fresh, and with the exception of a table or two where other patrons had left their trash behind the store and restrooms were clean. No one was left unsatisfied during my time there.
I see you, Long John Silvers. Tried this for the first time since the rebrand. Comparing to other fast food, this was really good quality. Fish was tender and juicy, and those cheese curds are to die for. Surprise win, but will definitely be back.
I wanna brag on this location a little. I recently went through the drive-through on two occasions. The young woman working in the window was extremely friendly, and very professional. The food was great!
Love this fast food place. There are not many still in business. For the lovers of this fish it's sad. YES, its not good for you but I eat it on occasion. It actually bring up nice memories.
First time coming and it's been a long time since I went here. Overall I like the new look the food took awhile to be finished but I waited. Overall the food it's pretty good it was nice and hot and the shrimp was great would come here.
Absolutely fantastic experience at the Long John Silver's in Plano, TX, off Parker Road! From the moment I stepped in, the warmth and efficiency of the staff were evident. The place was spotlessly clean, creating a very welcoming atmosphere for diners. What truly stood out was the food - it was fresh, hot, and deliciously crispy. I ordered the classic fish and chips, and it did not disappoint. The fish was perfectly cooked, with a golden, crunchy exterior and tender, flaky meat inside. The fries were also a hit - crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, just how I like them.Another highlight was their hushpuppies - little bites of heaven that were the perfect accompaniment to the meal. It's clear that they pay attention to quality and freshness here, which is so appreciated. The service was quick, with our order arriving promptly and exactly as we requested. The staff were friendly and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our visit. It's this level of customer service that sets this Long John Silver's apart.I left feeling completely satisfied and very impressed by the overall experience. This Long John Silver's location is a gem in Plano, offering delicious food, excellent service, and a clean, pleasant dining environment. I'm already looking forward to my next visit!
Haven't had LJS in years. It was just as yummy as I remember it!! So good, will definitely be returning again 😃
This is newly renovated. It’s clean and nice inside. The food was fresh. Good service. Highly recommend!
Look this is long over do but this ain't Long John's. The person cooking in here is COOKING. They need to change the name to Jon Jon's soul food seafood shack 😂. I got the jumbo shrimp and they were so good I didn't even dip them in the cocktail sauce. The green beans were seasoned like I was at a family reunion. I refuse to go to another location. I can't speak on the inside service because I always do drive thru but man don't ever loose that cook!
Food was delicious as always! Na’Cole was super helpful and just the sweetest! Not sure if she’s the manager, but she should be one!
The last time I had Long John Silver’s was back in California before I moved to Texas. The food was still just as great, I absolutely love it!
We had an amazing experience at the drive-thru the other night. We didn't catch her name but she had purple hair which was very beautiful. She had such good energy and she served us with a smile. It's so hard to find a good employee these days. Keep up the good customer services!
I got here and it was closed yesterday due to Easter Holiday. I decided to wait till 11 when they opened. Went thru the drive thru and was met with really nice customer service. I had to wait will for the food to be prepared and they made an adjustment for me on one of the combos so I could have shrimp chicken and fish. I don't mind waiting and actually prefer to wait for fresh hot food. The man that took my order made sure I knew there would be a wait again great service. I got my food parked and the man came out to say here is your hush puppies. I didn't even realize y'all still made them. Any hoo great service and great food!
Ate lunch there today and the service was on point and the food was super fresh and hit the spot. 10/10 recommend!
It's a newly remodel Long John Silver's,It made my appearance more enjoyable,I recommend if some one wanted a good fast food fish place to try this Long John Silver's out😋
Went several times over lent this year. The remodel was done reasonably tastefully and although I miss the Cape Cod exterior the interior still retains a decent amount of the charm. They have been really focusing on food quality and service since then and have been nailing it. Managers ask how things are and are very involved and it shows. If you want to enjoy LJS the way you remember it as a kid this is a well run location. My only feedback for management, the tea has tasted off every time I have been there. Not sure if its the water being used or the clean out procedures on the tanks but something isn't quite up to standard for tea below the Mason Dixon line.
I tried Long John Silver’s at this location after several years, and I couldn’t believe how amazing everything was! The food was incredibly fresh and tasted great. The customer service was top-notch, and the place had been renovated—it was very clean and visually appealing. I’ll definitely be coming back soon. Keep up the great work!
The lady who took our order was an absolute gem!!!! Literally one of the sweetest people we have encountered at a fast food restaurant in a very long time!! The food was good but the service we got from her topped it all!
These folks are so nice, polite and thoughtful! The $6 shrimp basket is a great deal and HUGE shrimp. Delicious
I used to eat at this location several years ago, and then I moved. When I moved back it was under construction, and was being renovated. The remodeling makes this look like a new restaurant. I have dined in here several times since it reopened. The food has always been good. OCTOBER 30, 2025 UPDATE: I received an email offering a $6 FISH BASKET which includes 2 fish, 1 side, and 2 hush puppies. I had questions about the App, and the 2 kiosks. I met Bob. He answered my questions, and helped me with my order. Izzy, Lexi, and Yasmin also helped me tonight. A shout out to everyone else who has helped me including Lashavia D., Bryanna, Kattie, and Brice. The food was good as always. Good people + good food + good customer service = 5⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Google Reviews!
Well again another five star visit. Alan who is busy scrubbing and cleaning the dining room and front counters as though it's his own restaurant with Integrity hard worker polite friendly this man needs a raise and a promotion to management. Update 7 1 25 Still a five star experience The fish the chicken the shrimp everything is cooked to order not like McKinney where they refried their precooked food plano's got their shit together this one's a corporate owned McKinney a franchise and they suck in McKinney. The employee to recognize of the five-star guy crew member is ready Bryce here's your five star crew member for the day. Thank you tub guy
Had the Chicken, it was great! Fried clams were cooked a bit to long. Hushpuppies always are to greasy, but still ok. Food was still warm when I got it home but the containers really wet the food down. Liked the Boxes that they use to use. - didn't seem to have so much condensation in them.
Food was good. It was served hot and fresh. The restaurant was clean, but a little run down. The service was excellent and the staff was friendly. My biggest complaint was they were out of shrimp sauce.
Good taste and very pleasant people in the drive thru. The only downside seems to be the wait time for a meal. Not sure if they cook right as you order or are just unprepared. Price could be less considering how low amount of food is included in the combos.
The Cod was good though expensive. Not the problem though. It came with 2 Sides, but no Fries. If I had known I would have done without one of the Sides and ordered Fries as a Side. It's not really Fish & Chips without the Chips, is it?
2025 update: The remodel seems to have worked wonders. The food is back to standards, the equipment works, and the service was impeccable. Plus, the updated menu is a welcome change. But it would be nice if the fonts were bigger for those of us with bad vision. Previous review : The food was okay. But everything else was questionable at best. I ordered to dine in, they prepared it to go. (Lack of attention to service will be a theme here) Their credit card reader is tap and chip capable, but the features are turned off. I ordered an extra piece of fish, had to go back up to remind them. And again for a fork. Didn't get napkins but decided to just wash when I was done rather than bother them again. The floors were very slick with grease and had a visible film. The bathroom looks like it hasn't been cleaned since it was remodeled back in the 80s. And the front door doesn't even have a weather strip, so there's a 1/4 inch gap between the door and frame to let bugs in and air conditioning out. And the "decor" consists of paper posters stuck to the wall with push pins. Won't go back and I advise you to do the same.
I know it's terribly unhealthy, but for a once a month treat, we've always liked this joint. However! they have now substantially shrunk the chicken and fish planks. It's a rip now. We're done w this place.
First and only other time eating at ljs was at this very location in the 2000's. Even back then it was absolutely horrifying and the food disgusting. The interior was decrepit and run down. ljs has become a running joke online, so I decided to see what was new. The interior is about as run down as it wad before. They may have painted the ceiling tiled black, presumably to hide all the disgusting stains. Midmatched tile on the floor everywhere. Paper dispenser in the bathroom looks to date from the mid 90s or earlier with a manufacturer I have not seen for decades, in a shade of olive brown, and it wasnt a lever action one, it was the crank style. Havent seen that since the late 90s. Interior surfaces are clean though, and employees were actually wiping down tables and they were all spotless. Ironically, the poor condition of the building actually suits the brand well and presents a convincing experience of an old, decrepit, wood seaside seafood joint. The food was just as horrific and disgusting as I remembered. The food is coated in a vaguely tempura like batter, but unlike tempura it does not have that flawless dry texture. Instead it somehoe soaks it up like a sponge. So every bite is this horrific taste of fishy, stale grease. Whatever you order will be 33% breading, 33% aquatic creature and 33% grease. Employees were way too professional and hardworking to be here, especislly how they understaffed it. The company surely owns this piece of property outright because there is no way in hell they can remain in business otherwise. The clientele was also very different from any other fast food joint. Cant quite put my finger on it. 4/5 because it's good for a laugh edit: November 2024. They are remodeling the store for the first time in probably a quarter century lol. $10 says it winds up like the Taco Bell and Popeyes rebrands, generic. High gloss white paint everywhere. Cold white led lighting, minimalist tables and benches. I also bet they get rid of the bell. With competition like this, no wonder I only go to captain d's on 15th st. It actually looks not too bad on the outside. But lets wait and see...
Always busy! Food is great, but sometimes very greasy, but most of the time not. Gave it 4 stars because when we went for the all you can eat fish. The Air conditioner was out and the place was brutally Hot, so hot I couldn't finish my dinner because I almost passed out. It's not a problem now because it's cool outside, but I don't think the promotion is still on.
Everything was good except I wish they would go back to regular fries. The waffle fries tend to get hard and chewy before you can finish the meal.(Personal preference). I'm an old guy and prefer consistency that meets expectations the change to waffle fries didn't so I will be getting double cold slaw from now on.
Pretty good fast food fish. Very salty but once in a while it is worth it as a splurge. The fish did not travel very well getting the half hour home but I could see where it had come from. I love the breading they use.
It was odd, there was a sign up saying they were closed Mondays, then before I could drive off someone took my order, told me they were only taking cards not cash. Had a 5 minute wait for my food as they didn't have things ready. Part of my order was very hot and fresh the other half had been under a great lamp for a bit. Not bad but definitely not great
Bad day to visit? Came in, they were out of cod, tartar sauce, and "anything grilled". Despite that, the 2 fish and shrimp combo was available. Also ordered some coconut shrimp, which was better than I expected. Service was great, everyone was super kind, but man...do you see that cocktail sauce?! There's gotta be maybe a tablespoon of sauce, if that. I had to get a bigger one just to use it! Maybe I came home a bad day. Food was good, service was great, but supply was abysmal. Heard really good things about this place, hopefully it's better next time.
I was there an hour ago and picked up a to go order. The order was for 8 pieces of shrimp meal and 2 pieces of fish meal. Just got home. No shrimps both boxes have 2 pieces of fish? I live 20 minutes away , I am not driving back to get the shrimp. Staff should have cross checked the order. Not good!
I haven't been to this location in a long time but things have changed. The employees were nice enough, the two I interacted with. There might have been 1 or 2 cars in the parking lot & one car already at the window. Still, I spent almost 40 minutes in the drive- thru lane. I wondered why until I looked through the drive-thru window & saw the employees sticking their hands in the food & eating it, stuffing fries, etc, in their mouths. No gloves. I feel sorry for whoever was behind me if they got the fries. Isn't that against some health code? Shouldn't they serve the customers food first before they eat? Is that why the food took almost 40 minutes when the restaurant was virtually empty, because they were eating the food faster than they could serve it? Yuck! Wish I'd gotten this on video. Truly disgusting.
check your drive thru order. they always forget something. I live across town and not driving 40 min to go get my coleslaw. seems like the later the night the worse the food quality.
Just not like it used to be when I was growing up. Food seems to be more greasy and salty. Dr. Pepper was horrible. LJS can get some pointers on how Dr. Pepper is supposed to taste by going to Taco Bell. Tried the Cheesy Bites...just horrible! Batter was soggy. LJS was my favorite restaurant as a kid. I'm thinking today was my last day coming back.
Food was tolerable. Iced tea was so watered down you wouldn’t know what the beverage was. Fish tacos were so small one and one half bite would finish it. The manager was cold and to some extent uncivil.
Food could be cooked a bit longer, some what friendly customer service, kind of a long wait for food!!!
There was only one car ahead of me, and we still waited for about 15 minutes to get our two combos. The young woman at the drive-thru window was very nice and polite, and the food was typical Long John Silver's.
I haven't been in decades. I ordered through the app, took my time getting there (20 minutes), and I still waited 20 minutes to get my food. The manager was nice and offered me a drink, but 40 minutes to get a fast food order out the door is not okay!!
Its alright I'd say. If you're hungry, you'll get full. But I realize why I don't order from this chain anymore, and that's for the sheer fact that everything is deep fried. They do have some side items and a couple grilled things, but overall I feel super unhealthy after I eat here. I think it's more of a nostalgic thing that I'm trying to do to cope with my mom's recent passing. They have a shortage on malt vinegar, so be prepared to only have a little. When I ran out, I stopped eating. So a handful of fries were left. Not a big deal I guess, since it was 6.49 for the meal and all I had initially ordered were 3 things, but they just gave me a basket. Nice to know they wanna save us money at least. I'm sure I'll come here again in another 3 or 4 years. We shall see.
Went to drive thru doing lunch. Stale fries, okra, and the Cajun fish over seasoned. Have been here before and it was decent so shocked by my experience today .
Service isn’t good. Several employees see you. Look at you but no one greets you for a while. Floor isn’t clean. Floor boards worn out. This restaurant would work if it was 1985, but with the competition today they desperately need to step it up. Food isn’t ready fast. It’s fast food but takes way too long. Clean the store Update floor boards Hire people who care about customers It’s dismal inside. Atmosphere is not good. No music. I think they need a makeover.
All that time to make food and can't even put the Mac and Cheese in the bag.
1 Star food, because the fried food was over cooked. The oil is too hot, so it's frying everything to a hard crunch that my teeth can't appreciate. Had them re-make the fries, and they were almost just as crunchy. 4 star service, rep was polite, kind, and handled my complaint professionally. Atmosphere was just as good, as I saw that same person taking the time to clean the dining room after customers left. I appreciate that they tried to fix it, but I don't appreciate that the kitchen staff clearly has not been fully trained to understand the temperature requirements for cooking. That said, if it's reading right, check with an alternate tool. Or change the oil. Something. Something is wrong with this. The fried products should NOT be this crunchy. It's painful. I'll be dealing with pain for 3 days because of this.
I keep having issues with not getting what I ordered. Then I call the restaurant and they want me to drive 45 minutes back out to get the missing food.
Waited 45 minutes for our food. Weren't the only ones waiting either. The dining area is sad, cold, and greasy. Food was piping hot for one person, and stone cold for another. This location needs more personnel. While I'm at it, get some booths.
I hate writing reviews like this but I have waisted money at this location for the last time. Sent my daughter to get us fish, spent $40. She asked at the window for lots of vinegar. Not only did they not give her ANY, she went in to ask again and she came home with three packs. I guess times are hard still, that 50 cents in vinegar cost a lot more than that from lost customer. We don't like it without, its like BBQ with no sauce. So the food is in the trash because it will be soggy and nasty by the time we could get more. Funny part is I sent her after work because last few time when we got delivered we didnt get any. guess its not meant to be.
The absolute worst fast food experience ever. The woman taking order instantly rude and unhappy, rushing through order. Place order, pay and receive my order, it’s missing half of it and has a long coarse hair in the middle of my number 10. Her name is Tonya after speaking with another employee I was informed she is a MIT. She was rude when informed about the error, dug in the food to verify the hair and told me my order didn’t come with chicken. I nicely handed the receipt and she stomped off. Stay far away from this location. This woman is unfortunate upset at life I suppose and will do her best to talk condescending and disrespectfully to you.
The cashier was really nice she told me there would be a 15 min wait, I was fine with that. But my order was ready in about five. The food was cold wasn't fresh I ordered 5 plater meals and ALL were cold. The fries were limp the fish & chicken was hard. Very disappointing should have went back and got my money back. Will never do business there again. 😤
Plan to 15-25 mins in the drive thru. Overpriced meals that don’t come with a drink. I spent $22 for two meals and no drink. Was given 1 single pack of tarter sauce. I will never in my life go to this location again. We didn’t even get utensils to eat the coleslaw.
Not worth the money. Other locations are better.
Went into this restaurant to dine in and no one greeted or took my order after standing at counter for almost 10 minutes. There were 3 employees and one of them was out in the lobby talking to someone about what he was going to do after he got off and debating whether or not he was going to sweep or mop the floor. Needless to say I more than likely will not visit this location again. I even contacted corporate office regarding the time wasted at this location but no one gotten back with me which was a week ago.
It’s wild, make me wait for 20 minutes and then short my order? Can’t get an answer on the phone, nothing. It’s a shame
Ok, I rarely ever make a post but…. I received part of what I ordered. I had to wait almost 10 minutes waiting in the car. Service is subpar and always check before you leave or you may be disappointed. Don’t bother with the phone number, just recording tell you to call later time. Honestly I expected better. Only go if you are ok with below ok expectations.
I placed an online order through their website for pickup at this location and my credit card was charged. When I arrived to pick up, the store was closed and undergoing renovations. I never got any emails or communication that the store was closed, nor have I received a refund. I sent in feedback through their website asking to be contacted so I could get a refund and still have not heard from them. I am planning to file a chargeback with my bank.
Why is there a lack of quality control on orders, missing the part of my order I paid more for. Next time I’ll hold up the drive through and check it myself. Tried to call the phone number when I got back to work and I got a message to call back. Tried calling back and still no answer
I placed an online order to go . When I arrived it was only one person in the restaurant eating one! ....It took the two men working there 8 mins to even acknowledge me in the restaurant. I was simply picking up my order. Absolutely unbelievable rude and lazy l. I will not go back to that dirty location and rude staff customers service all time low. Note to the manager your staff is causing you to miss out on customers. Also clean your location it looks dirty and a place I would eat at to go or in the restaurant
My family and my sisters came to this location as soon as we where getting out of our trucks a worker approached to the open sign it was 7:30pm saying through the window saying they where closed and she turned of the sign as we where walking towards the door. And no they where not short staffed because one of the workers was outside smoking in his car. We usually come out to this location because this is the nearest to our home and everytime we go theirs an issue last time coming and I don't recommend it the staff is rude, I recommend looking for another one.
Every time I go through the drive thru. My order is ALWAYS incomplete. This particular visit, the person taking my order was giving me an attitude. Not cool. They forget 2 orders of popcorn shrimp. Then had to wait another 8 minutes for a fresh batch. Get home, no hush puppies. The second thing my family loves. Can you imagine the disappointed looks on their face. I come here every 2 to 3 weeks. Each time, had issues with my order. Not coming back to this particular location again.
I waited over 15 min to get my food. Although it was hot, it was greasy and they missed the extra crumbles I ordered. Then the coleslaw cup was not even full as was the cocktail sauce. For the $12 I paid they could of at least given me full servings! The young girl at the drive thru was pleasant but seemed lost at doing her job correctly, not sure if they were low on product but i had to ask her for additional condiments because she only gave me 1 package each of what I asked for.I won't be going back to that particular store again.
Full of confused employees telling customer in front of me they were closed when clearly open not attentive when taking drive through order had to walk in and make sure order was correct .still once got to the car was in correct but understood for the functioning of the inside.. Will be back but not to soon
I need someone to contact me. I visited last weekend and used the self serve kiosk and was charged 5 times! I got one receipt but I have five charges for $24.88 on my credit card. When I call no one answers, and there is no option to leave a voicemail. Do not use their self serve kiosks!! Wait for someone to come help you, which will take a while. Ugh.
The Long Joh Silver in Plano, is not a good location to buy fish. The reason after waiting for over 20 minutes, when I got home the fish was old and reheated ,the fish was about 4 hours old and the customer service was terrible waiting for on 20 minutes in a empty restaurant and receiving bad food. Lobby was dirty food and paper on floor. Please check your bags before leaving the location in Plano. Eric J
Everything was terrible too to bottom. Took over 15 minutes to get my meal and no one was in there. Absolutely ridiculous service ad management. When they remodeled they should have remodeled the employees as well
Update. Service has gone down the tubes. Takes 20 minutes for an order to be prepared. Not prepared in the order they are placed. Staff is not pleasant and unfriendly. Management is the same. I definitely will be going out of my way to another location. Red Lobster is faster and not that more expensive. I’ll spend a little bit more for better service. Anytime I visit this location, the staff is always very friendly and inviting. Food is served in a timely manner and always has been hot and fast. They go out of their way to assist their customers and genuinely seem to want to help and be there. It is always appreciated to see this.
Very disappointed again. Dr. Pepper, ketchup, tarter sauce all empty....tables dirty. We wiped our table before we sat down. The fish was good, no crunchy's on our plates 🤔 After the remodel, we had high hopes for this place....WHERE IS THE MANAGEMENT....WHERE IS THE CUSTOMER SERVICE...
Just made an online order and sat in the drive through for twenty five minutes, only to be told that they don't have that order. I went inside and found my order myself. Insanely bad customer service. I don't know if the girl run in the drive through was new, but there was a manager standing right behind her. It was the only order there to pick up! THE ONLY ONE, AND THEY COULDN'T FIND IT!
Fish was greasy & cold, waffle fries was cold as well. **Update** Been back, Dec 12th, we won't be back. The fish is still overcooked, dry, fries were cold. There was only 1 person beside the cook working and he was filling the orders. He wouldn't take my order, insisted that I order on the kiosk. There are people that don't like ordering on the kiosk, me being one of them. So we won't be back, with the food being bad, lack of counter help, rude management. Sad too, cause it use to be pretty good.
7:13 PM Monday 11/3 - we are the only customers here. One seating section closed. 8 of 9 tables that are open are dirty. Will never return. Bad enough that you order via kiosk, but filthy conditions ALWAYS extend to the kitchen. It gets better... ordered a side of 3 shrimp.... SEVERELY undercooked. How is this possible??? To top it all off, I'd ordered a side single piece of chicken with a fish dinner - it never came. What a terrible experience. Never again. Never. UPDATE: it's now 1:11 AM and my wife and I are both very ill. Food poisoning!!!!! GREAT!!!
Original review below….they actually responded asking me to go to a different site to provide them more information! What else can I say? The food was freezer burnt! What else do you need to know? ………Original review: I was so excited as I am a long term fan of Long John Silvers. Before the remodel I preferred this location over McKinney but had not tried since the remodel. I was craving it for weeks. Finally got a chance and what a let down. I ordered popcorn shrimp, cheese curds, chicken, waffle fries, and hushpuppies. Every single item was freezer burnt and I couldn’t eat. Several of my family members tried as well and none of us could eat. Maybe they had issues with their freezer recently but don’t serve bad freezer burnt food! I am so disappointed, not even sure what to do now. I guess maybe a make a trip to McKinney? Maybe I just give up?
Drove up to the drive-through today and the lady that took my order rude. As I placed my order, I was getting confused if they had Sprite or starry so I saw for myself that they only had starry not Sprite, which is cool. I told her to go ahead and give me an added chicken got to the window pay for the food my drink wasn’t filled all the way up to the top. Also they didn’t have any tartar sauce. What long John Silvers or fish place doesn’t have tartar sauce. I wanted to cancel my order and just say forget it let me get my money back, but I just didn’t wanna go through a hassle. I just don’t understand why we no longer can’t get good customer service anymore. Either people need brakes regularly or stay at home if you’re not gonna provide great customer service.
Today, Sunday, October 5, 2025, around 12:30 p.m., I ordered delivery online - through Grub Hub - from Long John Silver's in Plano, TX. When I opened my bag, everything was there EXCEPT the corn, which was one of the sides I ordered. Over the next hour, I tried to call numerous times. Every time I was greeted with a message that told me that my call was very important to them BUT all of their "associates" were busy helping other customers and I would have to call back. They didn't put me on hold, didn't let me leave a message for a callback, just hung up on me. After an hour or so, I gave up. Then about 4:25, I decided the "lunch rush" had to be long over, so I called again and got the same message! This is the second time I've ordered delivery online from Long John Silver's. The first time was a year or so ago - that time, they gave me the wrong condiments; I had requested malt vinegar, but they sent tartar sauce (which I hate and never use) instead. So two tries, and both times they messed up my order. And when I try to call, they don't take my call. My late wife - who passed away from kidney disease in 2021 - and I used to eat at this location quite often on Sundays, on our way home from church. We've been good customers over the years. However, they have now lost my business for good! Their phone message says that I am very important to them; their actions say different! Bill Jones
Food came out slow. Last plate was 10 minutes after everyone else had started. They added a new self service kiosk, I ordered a bottles water it was on screen available to order. They don't have bottled water to sell. I had to beg for my refund. Manager had an attitude, staff had the same attitude. We wonder why this restaurants locations are disappearing.
Having been to LJS in many ,many years, I liked the Clams so I thought I would give them a try at this location. 1st & last time at this location. I ordered Clams (small), the 8pc Shrimp with Waffle Fries and Cole Slaw with a small Strawberry Lemonade, paid $18.38. The Clams had an excessive amount of crumbs/batter pieces instead of Clams, Shrimp & Waffle Fries were cold. Very poor portions and quality of food for the price.
