Porter Donuts & Kolaches

I stop here most Sundays on my way to work. This is a local business-great bakery with premium coffee run by a nice local couple. If you don’t see something in the case, ASK. They were probably have it fresh in the back!

They where fast, friendly, and had reasonable pricing. The food was fresh and very good. Donuts where nicely glazed and kolaches where hot n fluffy... Good job guys..

This place is great. I don't know how they make their food but it doesn't have that weird after taste other donut places have. They are also very friendly.

Great place for breakfast kolaches. Very friendly staff. Very reasonable prices. Not over priced like others in the area. Kolache bread is the best. Mocha, vanilla and caramel Frappe are the best. I highly recommend this donut shop.

Donuts are exceptional and the kolaches are beyond exceptional. They have and make kolaches that are filled with boudan, both regular and spicy that are the best kolaches I have ever had. Owner is friendly, courteous and serves you quickly!

Absolutely love this shop! Its located right in the center of porter. The staff are all friendly. The food itself is amazing! 10/10 would recommend before Shipleys and Dunkin Donuts. Extremely affordable!

They have boudin kolaches here! They taste amazing, and this is coming from someone who doesn't even like to eat anything with bread. Their donuts are delicious and so fresh. Highly recommend this place.

BEST DONUT SHOP! The employees are so kind and courteous! They almost ALWAYS give you a little extra something for free when you “order big” The donuts are soft and not overly sweet! The kolaches are FANTASTIC, always fresh! They have amazing frappes and coffee options! Incredible prices, as well! I can feed my house of 6 for $20, including drinks!

First time here, came in a little late 10am, I believe they are open till 11am. We went inside, small area to eat. They still had quite a few options available, being that we were late risers. The worker was super nice and we got a little of everything and it was all delicious 😋

I found out that this place had new owners and decided to give them a try. Donuts were good but I saw that they have a new coffee machine that makes like 40 drinks with the push of a button. I was skeptical but tried it. OMG it was so good! I have gone back several times now because it is half the price of Starbucks drinks!! They definitely have great prices and quality!

They are the best. Their Apple Fritters (which im not usually a big fan of) are amazing and i love theirs. Also their ham,egg, and cheese crossaint will fill you up for almost the whole day. Very reasonably priced.

The donuts are AMAZING, prices are great and the staff is super friendly (my family and I were enjoying our breakfast and we were offered complimentary, hot, melt in-your-mouth donut holes!!!). What is even more impressive is the oracle fish they have in the tank located by the restrooms. The fish's prophecy is that the South Carolina Gamecocks will make the final 4!

First time coming to Porter Donuts. My service was amazing . They are better than Pat donuts and Shipleys donuts. I will be going here from now on. They have the understand how to creating a atmosphere for their customer.

Melt in your mouth amazing. I’m convinced they sprinkle a little happiness in the dough. I’ve had my fair share of iced coffees and frappes from here because, let’s be honest, caffeine is the glue holding my life together. They even have Korean coffee, and yes, it slaps. Hard. My mom is ride or die for the Country Boy kolaches. She says they bring the spice and, honestly, she's not wrong. They’re the culinary equivalent of getting a surprise plot twist in a romance novel unexpected, bold, and a little bit addictive. And the donuts? Don't even get me started. They're so good, I feel like I’m betraying them when I go out of town and grab a donut somewhere else. I look at that sad little substitute donut like, “You’re not her.” 10/10, highly recommend. Come for the donuts, stay because your soul said, “Yes.”

Its veryyy good i reccomend this place but the kolaches the bread is sweet and i kind of dont like that and also yall should add more extra chesse to the kolaches

Most doughnut shops will throw is some extra specialty doughnuts if you spend 50$ like i did, dont expect no love frome these folks. Dont have anything bad to say about the doughnuts but i have six little mouths to feed so ill be going where im apreciated

Review is for kolaches only: You can tell the bread is not freshly made, and there is a lack of cheese. It's there, but lacking. You're better off at Shipley's or Pat's

When they first opened I would have said they are the best place in the area to go for doughnuts and kolaches. However, recently they made the small kolaches like mini and the filled doughnuts get filled from the top and it's like a bites worth. Their food tastes good most of the time, not artifical like the other places around here and they seem clean, also unlike doughnut places in the area. But the cutting corners to save a dime will probably run off the little business they get. I would love to see a grand opening and their food go back to being a good deal. Then I would rerate it.

Charging $2 extra for a dozen of donuts after the hurricane not cool. Maybe that's why Pats has a line down the service road . Good call Porter Donuts 👍

I came into your shop after our area was hit by flood waters from Harvey... I came into the shop to buy donuts that I was donating to first responders and to those at the shelter that had been displaced because of the storm. When my daughter and I walked in, I immediately noticed the crude cardboard sign that you had designed just for the storm prices. However your official signage hanging on the wall said a dozen glazed were 6.50. I asked the counter lady... How much for a dozen glazed... she tells me, $9.00. hmmm So my response... so you have jacked the prices up just for the storm? Her response... I'm sorry... my boss made me do it. SMH I later went back and even though the makeshift sign was gone, I actually went live on facebook and have the "manager" as she called herself telling me directly that the cardboard sign was indeed for storm prices and again that her boss made her do it. This is my personal experience with this company and I feel that each person needs to base their business with them according to your own personal standing... I do personally read reviews to make an informed decision often. I have done business with this shop in the past, but I will not ever buy anything else from them again because of my personal experience. ( I had just paid 6.99 per dozen from Pat's.. and later paid 6.50 from Happy Donuts in New Caney) A total of 15 dozen were bought that morning on my way to the shelter.

How dare you take advantage of the customers that keep you in business when they are in the midst of a crisis. How dare you take advantage of the law enforcement that keeps you, your business and your customers safe everyday of the year. If you cant put any love into your community when they are desperate for help....I dont even what to know the quality of things you put in your food when you make it.

Why are you out before 10am & why are you not making more Donuts? He told me 2yrs ago I could call in an order & he's yet to fill an order for pickup. Shipley's & Pat's Donuts are ok..but they are NOWHERE near as good as Porter Donuts! They make the best Donuts I've had, that's not homemade, in my 56yrs. I don't understand why not make more donuts & why not fill an order for pickup at 9am, 10am or 11am when you are open until 1pm??? Idgi. You don't want the business or money? You make the best dang donuts in Texas imo so why not make more..for the love of Pete! I never, hardly ever, very rarely get to have donuts & I don't want donuts from anywhere else. Please make MORE DONUTS! I'm begging you! Thank you for your time. Have a blessed day!☮🍩
