This school is absolutely hands down the best!!! I am so happy that I enrolled in the Graphic's design class. Mr Hernandez-Lima is such an amazing teacher and actually takes the time Togo the extra mile to make sure his students are doing well and most importantly understanding him and the criteria's of his class!!
Very good. It is a Place where they can help you finish your studies or study something you like for a job. There you will find good people who can help you with whatever you like to study. All it's possible.
The training center is excellent and full of benefits

I was studied there for two years. It was very interesting and amazing. I think this place is really good for whom wants to learn ESL or any subjects which they want. The teachers and the staffs are so kind and supportive. I spent two very good years there and learn a lot. I am really grateful to all, the caring and literate staff and teachers there. I will never forget their kindness. I always pray for them. The place is so beautiful. the students have the places to sit and have coffee and speak with each others. It is so nice. I love it.
Was a great school. I finished under Bob Myers,Veronica Montes,Joanne, Hilda, and others. I also had my first job here setting up computers in the labs under Nancy.
Mrs. Dunn isn't just a teacher at West Valley Occupational Center, she's the gold standard. Her math class is perfectly designed to help us learn and grow in our subject . She explains things clearly and makes sure everyone feels comfortable asking questions. No matter how complex the material, Mrs. Dunn has a knack for breaking it down in a way that makes it easy to understand. Thank you wvoc, Thank you My dear teacher Mrs. Dunn 🙂
Great classes and staff. My accounting class, teacher, and classmates are great. Thanks Mr. Sifuentes for making my learning process easier when you respond all my questions in class.
I'm studying at West Valley School. It's very nice environment to study. Student talks there, they eat together, they study together. They meet each other. Students do diploma and other fields like Cosmetology, Doctor, Nurses, CNA,RNA...etc. ABe,ESL, HI Set, Graduation.
I learned things about the English language that I never knew before. It is a good place to learn English and many job skills.
I was a student at this school for a few months and I simply loved the place. My teacher at the time was Ms. Natasha Urias and I thought she was excellent! Unfortunately, due to Covid, in-person classes were suspended at the time and I couldn't keep up with the online class, but I never missed a single in-person class. I miss this place very much and I hope to be able to finish the course. You guys are great, congratulations!!!
Wonderful place for Deaf students and International students to come and learn English as a second language! The ESL classes have fantastic ASL interpretation access for the Deaf, with high quality professionals determined to help you succeed!
I was a student in the AC2T program for around a year when I was 15-16y/o. I was able to complete their program with ease which I could not say the same for my previous school program at a different school. Through their program I saw that I could accomplish more than what I thought I could. Their teachers, at the time, Eddie and John, are incredible and other teachers should learn from them. They created such a safe, enriching, accommodating, learning environment which I had never felt or experienced before. I was able to finish their program at 16 years old and graduate with the class at 17. I then moved to Alaska 2 weeks before I turned 18. The life I live today would not have been possible without the support of those teachers. Thank you to the community College for having this program, I cannot recommend it enough. Because of the program I was able to be successful at a young age. I have 20 acres in Alaska with a house and a farm at only 23 years old. If any parent that is reading this who has a kid/teen that needs to finish credits, this is the school. If my non typical brain can do it, you can too.
Ms. Mubiru is truly the best teacher I have ever had! She is so friendly, kind, and incredibly supportive. She genuinely cares about her students and believes in their success every step of the way. Her teaching style makes learning engaging and enjoyable, and she always encourages us to do our best. I am so grateful to have had the opportunity to learn from her—she is an amazing teacher and an even better person! Thank you, Ms. Mubiru, for everything!
West Valley Occupational Center is a very incredible place to study. I can't even describe how much I love to be a student here, because Its a great feeling to learn at a school where the teachers have each and everyone of their students in their best interest, providing the best pathway for your educational success! I have been a student at WVOC this past year & absolutely saw that WVOC teachers & staff have alot of dedication to their education profession, they're caring & take the time to guide you with your educational goals. I want to also say that this campus is so very well cared for & they keep things so very safe for the students. I feel Its such a pleasure to attend here. Even working a full time job, I want to take continued classes at WV.! This school deserves more than 10 stars.!!
Teacher Siodora teaches English very badly. She taught me how to pronounce words incorrectly. :( But the school is good. 🙂↕️

Great school, I just finished the Real estate classes with Mr. Torres. He was a great teacher, very attentive and knowledgeable. I have learned a lot and I feel ready to take the state exam.
I took construction classes with Mr. Hernandez, an amazing teacher, learned a lot, but would not say the same with Mr. Figueroa at HVAC, this teacher was stingy with the copper pipe and the oxy tank use, could be better to charge me more money at the beginning for practice, as a result I quit.

I initially came into contact with WVOC from a recommendation and quickly completed orientation in February. I was excited to begin class in August and was told by the registration office that enrollment for my class would begin in MAY. I put myself on the waitlist and decided I would call back then. I called on May 1st to enroll, and was now told that enrollment had to be pushed back to JUNE. I had noticed that the woman in the enrollment office whom I had spoke to, read my e-mail to me incorrectly. I was able to clarify with her and correct the spelling of my e-mail so that I would receive the enrollment info when it was time. Anyways, June? No problem right. I called in June, and was told that the enrollment e-mail would come in LATE JUNE / EARLY JULY. Again, no problem! Called back in the beginning of July as I had received no e-mail; shocker. Enrollment pushed back to late July. At this point, I have called this school almost EVERY TWO WEEKS between May and late July. On July 22nd, I called and asked about enrollment. To my surprise, the woman in the registration office had told me that enrollment was done and the students for the class had already been picked. I protested and remarked that I was one of the first students on the list, and was not contacted. We went over my entry on the list and she read my e-mail wrong to me, and thus, that was the e-mail it was sent to. She assured that she would hand write my e-mail correctly, and have the professor forward the information to me by the end of the day. To make things short, I called 3 more times and came in person once over the course of 14 days, and was never sent that e-mail. I waited 6 months for a class that never came despite a consistent effort on my behalf. So this review is entirely written to speak on my experience with the registration office. It seems that WVOC is extremely unorganized, and did not make an effort to make my situation right. It just seemed like I was speaking to people in the registration office that did not care about the student body, or else they would’ve worked with me to rectify the situation. Attached is phone call history from my many encounters with them.

They don't have enough classes, and every time I go there, then they say next year or six months later... Unfortunately, government budgets are not enough for vocational courses. Night class starts at almost 3 pm, and it was better to start at 6 pm because many students work up to 4 or 5 pm. Class schedules and waiting time are so bad. Just 20 students are lucky every year.
It’s run by a bunch of incompetent people. I decided to register for child development in January and they told me that I need to take the orientation in May.. so i waited the 4 months and took the orientation. After orientation, I registered for the summer class. They later told me that it was an online class but if i wanted “in-person,” they would switch me out to the in person class… so i agreed. Finally its August and it turns out they just dropped me out of the class without placing me in the appropriate class. I go pay them a visit to see what happened and they said there is no “in-person” class and if i want the other “in-person” class they do offer, I’d have to wait til next year and there was nothing else they can do about it. I was furious. Stripping someone out of their education like that is unacceptable.
The administration at West Valley Occupational School has shown a concerning lack of accountability in addressing reports of bullying toward both a teacher and students. Despite multiple complaints, no meaningful action was taken, and the principal appeared to handle the matter dismissively. Students involved faced no repercussions, and staff concerns were disregarded. This failure to uphold a safe and respectful environment reflects poorly on the school’s leadership and overall integrity. I hope future administration takes these issues seriously and restores trust in the institution.
