Opinions de Palateria Nuevo Leon Richardson
Absolutely amazing spot! There’s a restaurant on the left and the Paleteria on the right, both are fire. Some of the best tacos and Mexican snacks I’ve had in Dallas, hands down. Everything is fresh, full of flavor, and the ice cream selection is next level. Highly recommend checking it out if you’re in the area!
✨ I want to personally invite all of y’all—if you’re anywhere near Richardson, there’s a magical little spot you *have* to check out! **Paleteria Nuevo León** is a hidden gem serving up all your cravings—from sweet to spicy and everything in between. 🍦🌶️🍓 Today, we’re celebrating *International Ice Cream Day* right here, and I couldn’t think of a better place to be. The flavors are amazing, the treats are unique, and the customer service is top-tier. The people here truly care and make you feel welcome the second you walk in. Whether you’re stopping by for a refreshing paleta, a flavorful snack, or just a moment of joy in your day—this place delivers. Don’t miss out on this local treasure! 💛 Go treat yourself. You deserve it!
"I had the Agua Fresca de Peppino and it was absolutely delicious! So refreshing, perfectly, and full of fresh flavor. Definitely a must-try!" Zenaida is such a sweetheart the service was great!!
1st time here and we LOVED it! Had the Tostilocos, Mangonada and a frozen Mangonada drink with alcohol. They were all delicious. The menu has a large variety and we wanted to order so much more like the elote and chetos preparados and many other items but our stomachs could only handle so much 😄. Will DEFINITELY be back many times!!
Best churros in town!! they are crispy on the outside and very soft on the inside also the paletas de fruta are very good they have an amazing Concha ice cream Sandwich that will blow your mind so delicious! and don’t forget to try their biónico fruit tray.
We went two days in a row and it is all amazing! All the food/treats were fresh! Staff so friendly and just a great place to hangout or grab to go! We will be back.
Come! Come! Come and try the best paletas and sweet treats in Richardson/Plano. Open late and next to an amazing taqueria. The people were so nice and the service was amazing!!!! Baby!! We’re gonna be back 👏🏼EVERY 👏🏼TIME!
Totally — here’s another Gen Z vibey option with a fresh tone: “be fr… these aguas frescas from Paleteria Nuevo León?? got me in a chokehold 😮💨💗 tasted like a summer vacation 🏖️🍉🧊 run don’t walk 💨 #sippinpretty #paleterianewoleon #aguasfrescaszn #foryoupage #refreshingvibes”
Best paleteria so far 🙂↕️🙏🏻 the prices are good for the servings that they give and the staff is 100% there for you no attitude and helpful for everything and anything you need!!! I for sure will be back again.
We love the taqueria and are thrilled they opened a paleteria! IT IS DELICIOUS and there are lots of options on the menu. Highly recommend!

Best Mexican restaurant in Richardson, all their food is really good and all the paletas too, yall should come definitely com and try it
I’ve been coming to Taqueria y Tamaleria Nuevo León regularly for a while now, and it’s honestly one of my favorite spots in Richardson. It’s the kind of place you end up craving during the week because you know it’s going to be good every single time. The tacos are always fresh and full of flavor — I usually go for carne asada or al pastor. The meat is seasoned perfectly, the tortillas are warm and soft, and the salsa actually has some real heat to it. It’s simple, authentic food done right.
They always have the best paleta flavors I can't find anywhere else like mamey. Don't skip on this place just because it's now winter! They are serving hot champurrado, warm cornbread, churros and other comforting foods during the cold season.
It was an hour to close and places were closing left and right. We called and Irving Diaz answered, little did we know he’d answer a larger birthday boy’s wish. He calmly explained they were open for the next hour and they had the birthday boy’s wish: churros. We arrived within ten minutes and Irving took great care of us. He attentively listened to the orders and started scooping ice cream and then got to work on the churro orders. We walked away completely satisfied. Would definitely come back!
Amazing place with the best food/desserts. My friends and I are here every week!

Man let me tell you if I could walk out of here with a cavity on one of my teeth that tells you how sweet and delicious this place is. As a young adult I feel like a little kid with all the options I have to munch on. It's a very nice atmosphere environment as well. I highly recommend this place to anybody that would like to taste a little bit of Mexico here and the great USA.

Visited Paleteria Nuevo León and had a disappointing experience. The staff was rude, unhelpful, and it took over 20 minutes to get service. I ordered the Sweet Cream Cheese Crepe, which looked unappetizing, and the strawberries listed in the description weren’t added until I pointed it out.
I ordered a Bionico from here and was sadly disappointed. I feel like they cut the fruit with the onions for the tacos. My whole bionico tasted like onions. I am so disappointed.

It was my first time buying the apples loca with everything on it, and honestly, they looked amazing at first. But right before taking a bite, I noticed a hair strand on the apples. I thought maybe it was just one, but when I took another slice, there were two more hair strands inside. That completely ruined it for me, and I ended up not eating it at all. I also bought the corn on the cob, but unfortunately, it tasted spoiled and was sticky, like it had been sitting out too long. Overall, I was really disappointed with both items. I was excited to try them, but the quality just wasn’t there.
Came in at 8:50 PM specifically for a milkshake. This place has milkshakes listed on their menu and sells ice cream, so naturally I assumed that wouldn’t be an issue. Nope. I walked in, asked for a milkshake, and was told they “don’t have any.” No explanation, no alternatives, nothing. So I turned right back around and walked out. If you’re going to advertise milkshakes, you should actually be able to make them, especially WAY before closing time! disappointing experience.
TLDR: Order a beer alongside your tacos at the Taqueria & Tamaleria register. Avoid ordering at the Paleteria, unless you enjoy getting bullied by and watching as the employees chat among themselves right in front of you for 20 mins instead of grabbing the can. Let me start by saying I've been a customer at Taqueria & Tamaleria Nuevo Leon for years. The tacos are outstanding, trompo Tuesday is a great deal and yet still amazes in quality, and the kitchen and wait staff always work hard. Unfortunately, that longstanding positive experience at the taco shop is being hurt by the service at the new adjacent dessert venue. On several (5+) of my most recent visits, the same two employees at the Paleteria Nuevo Leon register were unpleasant and unhelpful. On one occasion, the man who took my order was incredibly condescending, and after I paid, both employees proceeded to socialize for about 10 minutes right in front of me while I waited. I'm fine with waiting if they're flush with orders, but they were just leisurely chatting. When, after about 10 minutes of this, I eventually asked about the canned drink I ordered, I was met with the same belittlement. It took about 20 minutes from the time I paid to when the guy felt like heading to the back to grab me a can. After a hard day's work, I don't want to be ignored and bullied at dinner. It’s a shame to have a great time at the taco shop ruined by the disrespectful service next door. I hope management addresses the issues at the new Paleteria, because I want it to deliver the same great experience I’ve come to expect from the longstanding taco shop.
I bought the strawberry fresa popsicle for my wife. I knew it translated to strawberries and cream. It sounded like a sweet type of dessert. When tasting it, it seemed to have a spicy seasoning on the exterior, almost like they dusted the popsicle with paprika. That made it pretty nasty. My son tasted it and we immediately threw it away. I normally would have told the counter clerk but when I originally bought the $1 treat with a $20, he told me he didn't have change and asked for a smaller bill or to charge it. I didn't have my wallet and my wife game me the cash. He said never mind and gave me $18 back and said that he couldn't give me the 92 cents in change. I asked if I could get another $1 popsicle and we could forget the 16 cent balance, but he said he wasn't allowed to do it. I guess he could take my 92 cents and be out of balance but he couldn't take an 16 cent loss and be out of balance. I didn't think a popular college dessert hangout was so hard up for some pocket change. The money is not the concern but just disappointing service by the guy behind the counter.
