After a long day of work and travel we found this great pizza joint. We got the traditional pizza half meatball half pepperoni and wings. The gentleman at the counter was friendly and the food was delicious and fresh. Would recommend 100%

Easily among the best pizza in Rochester. Delicious unique offerings like the Bulgarian pizza, with Feta cheese better then I had in Crete. Stuffed pizza as good as Chicago deep dish I had at Exchequer. Owner is an amazing and unique immigrant with entertaining stories, and very friendly. Highly recommend also the chips and wings!

I went here for my birthday a few years ago and had an awesome birthday dinner! The pizza and all their specials are amazing. The last time we ordered was their famous Chicago Style Pizza. And it was extremely filling and full of cheese and sauce. 10/10.

I've never had a real deep dish pizza, I have made cheese cake though. The deep dish here is comparible to a 12" cheese cake in size and depth... except its pizza, and tastes really good. Be prepared to wait for it, it understandably takes slightly over an hour to make but it is well worth the wait. I can't speak for the regular pizza made here but if it uses the same cheese and sauce its gotta be delicious.

This is a take out pizza place. Do not come here for the atmosphere, except the beautiful new pull chain on the front ceiling fan. You come here for incredible pizza. Enjoy the crispy crust and sweeter sauce with a fuller tasting cheese blend. This my favorite pie in town. Always a classic.

We got the sheet! Amazing flavor and texture (bakeed perfectly). It was also an UNBELIEVABLE value! I can't wait to go back and try the stuffed pie. It's old school take-out. It took a little longer than expected BUT it is so very worth the wait. Super friendly guy too.

The best chicken tenders I've ever had. They brine the breast meat themselves and hand bread them, and they are huge! They even make they're own sauces. I prefer mine 'semi-jacked'. I order them at least once a week. The service is friendly every time. My teenage grandkids loved their calzones and made me promise to order from Chester Cab the next time they visit. Just try them. Best pizza in Rochester. Coming from someone who grew up in the Bronx and Brooklyn, this says a lot. I usually get the pizza and wing combo which is a steal. The pizza has a nice crust, perfect sauce, and ample toppings. The wings are large and always fried perfectly. Highly recommend.

Stopped into Chester Cab Pizza for the very first time tonight and I honestly can’t believe I’ve been missing out for 40 years. I had no idea they’ve been around that long, and now I’m wondering how this was my first visit. The pizza was absolutely amazing. I asked for extra Parmesan, and the Parmesan was incredibly fresh and flavorful. It took the pizza to another level. You can really taste the quality and care they put into what they make. On top of that, the owner was friendly, welcoming, and clearly passionate about the place. You can tell this is a business that truly cares about its customers. Safe to say this won’t be my last visit. Chester Cab Pizza just earned a new regular customer! 🍕

4 of the 10 pieces. Ill have 5 for the air fryer tomorrow. Best breaded wings in the county. Just enough spice to add a delicious flavor to these routinely giant wings. Im certain the rest of the menu is also high quality, but I've ordered the wings everything. They're never a disappointment. Owner onsite makes a difference. 100% would recommend.

The pictures don’t do this justice. Let’s just say the sheet pizza and Chicago deep dish were so good that I forgot to take pictures until it was all but demolished. Excellent! Sweet savory sauce combined with the gooey cheese and crunchy crust. Chef kiss!

I’ve ordered their pizza a couple of times. As a fan of Chicago and of the deep dish, I’ve had some straight from the horse’s mouth right there in Chitown, and while a bit salty, this is better than any I’ve found outside of Chicagoland, even better than the Uno franchises I’ve been to. This is not an everyday treat, but no question that when I’ve got that deep dish hanerkin’, this is the spot to go to. Downsides? Well, you don’t really go to a pizza place for ambiance, so you get what you get. Also, it probably goes without saying that parking isn’t the easiest in this neighborhood. Still well worth the hassle, though.

The menu had a lot of twists on common plates. Select tin was good and great tasting. The Lawful Waffle burger was awesome.

They give you a generous slice of pizza for $3. They only had a choice of pepperoni or Buffalo chicken. I also got a 2-liter bottle of soda for $2.50. I found the pizza sauce a little too sweet. The pizza is thin-crust and the edges were burnt. They have outside seating and we sat outside while we watched the Gay Pride Parade.

I'm really happy with their food so far but their timing with orders is terrible. Really, honestly, I think it's usually worth the wait, but they're holding up delivery drivers and pickup orders. Nobody wants to show up to your place and be told you haven't even started the order yet. Pizza's been great so far, had my first ever Chicago pie here, the cooks I've run into were great to talk with, and I love the vibes.

Ordered online at noon for a 5pm pick up. It was a deep dish w 3 toppings, well done. Received a pie with the cheese not even melted on the inside.

The pizza is great, but i placed an order online, it said was going to be in 45min. sent me a confirmation, took my lunch time to pick it up. and there were no one at the place, the door was open, no one in. two hrs after that , they called me. the worst order system.

It has been since my childhood that I went to Chester Cab Pizza. I wish I left it as a nostalgic memory. The pizza tasted ok enough, however it was an old slice. I asked if it was fresh the young lady responded, " it was made earlier in the day, but you know we keep them good." Also, the slice has so much sauce and cheese on it, it made the structure of the slice unsteady. The pizza barley wanted to stay pizza. Sadly I have found better pizza in Minnesota, than this once thought of staple of Rochester to me. Also, the owner or manager lady was in when I was there, not only did she not greet me or be pleasant in anyway, she was taking junk about the gay pride parade that happened earlier on Park Avenue, and all the crazy people she avoids from that. Maybe not the best conversation to have in front of your customers.

We drove 35 minutes to get a deep dish pizza. Upon arrival the staff informed us they were short staffed and “the owner was out of town”. According to previous reviews this is there “go to excuse for poor service and poor quality food “. We waited 47 minutes past the wait time that was given on the phone. Our pizza sat getting cold while they made raw chicken wings and they weren’t fit to feed to my dog! Disgusting !!! The manager said there was little he could do and refunded the cost of the wings ….. and would let the owner know to call us back. It’s a disgrace that this place is run like this and still in business and even scarier that they would send food out that could legitimately get people sick! We will NEVER return and will tell anyone that this is not the pizzeria that once held a reputation in Rochester! If the out of town owner reads this …… you should stick around because your business needs guidance, health codes upheld, and an overhaul !!!!

I used to LOVE Chester Cab 🚕 pizza. Their stuffed crust was 2nd to NONE! Then, they sold the place to someone else. The quality levels now are ATROCIOUS!! Avoid!

As a Chicago native whom recently moved to Rochester NY I was excited when my wife told me about a local pizza joint who offered Chicago style stuffed pizza. When she brought home what is allegedly a stuffed pizza we opened the box which was dripping with grease to find a "pizza" that looked nothing like what was claimed by the website, no tomato sauce, slathered in garlic, and looking as if it had been pulled out of a deep fryer. What we recieved is nothing more than false advertising and a glorified deep dish pizza with bottled minced garlic.

I have loved Chester Cab since it was The Pizza Station in the early eighties. Over the years they have had there ups and downs but in the last few years it's gone downhill. I ordered my usual stuffed pizza with four stuffings and I can say without a doubt that they are putting very little in the stuffed pizza. I had three slices and I couldn't taste or see one of the stuffings and got very little of the other three stuffings. The thickness of the dough was equivalent to the stuffings and in some parts of the pizza the dough was thicker than the stuffings. I won't be going back for a while.

Ordered a large pizza and honestly it was half cooked and poorly cut. When I went to pick it up the worker said “Why don’t these lazy people just make their own food”. Which I get but also I’m paying for this and is kind of rude because if I knew you were going to make a bad pizza, I would gladly go somewhere else. Really upset because I usually love this place.

Got there when they opened, they opened late and had absolutely nothing ready to serve. It's a pizza place they should at least have had dough. Also the guy was rather grouchy. We left without getting anything.

Honestly I’m not sure where to start…this pizza place has gone down hill and the owners should feel embarrassed. No gloves, no dates on food containers, trash talking customers, and more. I watched the person making the pizza scratch his butt then finish making the pizzas. Eat here at your own risk. Beyond disgusting…

It pains me to say this, but Chester Cab pizza is no longer considered "good" pizza. There once was a time that it was the best in Rochester—by a mile. But much has changed. It's possible that ingredients or recipes have changed, but one things is for certain: the quality is inconsistent and unreliable. On several occasions, my pizza has been charred/burnt. The last pizza was the opposite- very undercooked (it was baked enough to melt the cheese and firm up the dough, but tasted more like raw, flat dough than crisp and fluffy). The potential for great pizza is there, but time after time it disappoints. Not worth the premium price you pay for this pizza. There's better pizza in Rochester at a much lower price.

Picked up a pizza & wings tonight 1/14/22, paid $27.15 cash. I should have know something was not going to go correct, when I called in my order & the guy who answered was speeding ( talking really fast). I picked up the order got it home & it was completely burned on the bottom & the wings are hard as hockey pucks. Called back to notify them & received two guys pretending to be managers, they called themselves Morty & John. John requested pictures, "saying that Dess the owner is very funny about giving refunds or remaking orders for customers, Dess wants proof". I was happy to send the pictures, John told me once he received the pictures he would call me back, that didn't happen. Instead I had to call back & that's when he got nasty. John, told me, "that's how Chester Cab Pizza looks, that's the way they make it, I should just taste the burnt pizza & be happy." He then hung up on me, I called back & he yelled, "stop bothering me, I have S to do", then hung up again. I called back, then I got nasty, I told him you cannot keep taking customers money, giving them burnt food & expect them to be nice about it. Burnt pizza & recooked hard wings are not the way Chester Cab used too prepare food & I shouldn't have to settle for something I can not eat. It is not ok for an establishment to take customers money & then refuse to supply decent eatable food to the customers. I plan to speak to the owner(Dess), return the burnt pizza & hard wing. if he supports the garbage his employees are serving to customers, then he need to lose business & maybe even be shut down. Maybe Chester Cab Pizza needs to be in the review window of Rochester customers. We cannot continue to allow establishment like this to continue to rip off customers Note: I would prefer to give a ZERO rating To be continued.... Update 3/25/2022 in response to Chester Cab Owner The reply is a ly, I never screamed at anyone, the employee was rude, appear to be high & he hung up on me. To be exact both employees that evening appeared to be High. The owner doesn't work during the afternoon, he has no idea what goes on wit customers. As for being 60, try again, your just rude & nasty. Trying to discredit me because of my gray hair is even more ridiculous than you saying pizza should be burnt & wings dried out at the price you charge. I respect & included in the customer service industry, I'm one myself. Try doing better,instead of blame the customer who dares to complain & just not sit back an allow you to steal their hard earn money Just to be clear,I will never again order from Chester Cab Pizza, they need to re-evaluate customer service & quality. Someone please inform the Health Department! It's obvious they aren't cleaning the ovens & recooking wings

Used to be great, sadly not anymore. I remember ordering from here three years ago, was exceptionally good. I don’t know if there’s new ownership or what but this was far from what i remember The cajun wings were overcooked. I like a crispy wing but these had a burned taste to the breading that even came through after putting sauce on them. The pizza was burned too. I like a nicely done pie but this was burned not well done...that bitter aftertaste on the bottom of all the slices This place isn’t fast or cheap...$42 down the drain. Really disappointed. Absolutely unacceptable.

A 50 minute wait for slices at 5:30 on a Friday night (they told us it’d be 15 minutes, which is still long for slices). When we finally got them, they were cold and I’m pretty sure one was re-sauced and the re-baked. Here’s a picture. So much going on here but it’s a nice visual of the 3lbs of sauce covering the messed up crust, and the appetizing charred black spots under the barely cooked top layer of cheese.
