Great intimate atmosphere at this neighborhood bar. There is plenty of music forward events, and they have a solid beer list. Some of the nicest Guinness I’ve had locally, and the music vibes made the space a great place to hang out!
My husband and I had a destination wedding and chose to have our hometown reception at Johnny’s. Kristin and the staff were incredible, helpful beyond anything expected and so accommodating. We had the whole place to ourselves and it was a great setting for a large group of people all there to celebrate a happy occasion. Kristin even accommodated the Bills playoff game being right at the same time as our reception. Aside from having an epic party at Johnny’s it is also just a fab place to have a fun evening out. Great drink selections, great prices, friendly staff!!

Great bar! I love this place and I go here every time I’m in town. The drinks are cheap, the staff is friendly, and music is great! I’ve had some great conversations with people here and seen some great bands.
The best Irish pub in Rochester. Cheap drinks, even for local microbrews and mixed drinks. Live music from local bands every Friday and Saturday, and open mic nights multiple nights during the month. The staff is super friendly and attentive. And the lack of televisions means that patrons are actually talking to one another making it a true community. This place is great!
I moved to rochester last september, and i live right down the street. I finally made it in, to see a live band. It is a very clean, comfortable place, and i will be going back when they have bands there.
Fantastic time we had with the dancers and musicians. Such a great St. Patrick's Day (or any time) place to celebrate☘️
Last night was my first time here. Nice cozy lil' spot. The two ladies behind the bar were very friendly and there was minimal to no waiting for your next beverage. I will 100% be coming back here!
We came here to eat and get drinks for my wife (I'm not much of a drinker myself.) Their kitchen was closed, but the bartender recommended pizza from a pizzeria down the road and offered to let us bring it into the bar. We paid only 15$ for 3 drinks and she even brought out plates and napkins for us.
Johnny's is a really cool place with GREAT atmosphere and very reasonable drink prices!! The bartenders are attentive and make you feel like you're family. With no TV's there, it's real easy to talk with patrons. It is a respectful and comfortable vibe at Johnny's you don't really find in pubs/bars these days.
Cool Irish Pub with really helpful and attentive staff that want you to keep coming back. Great live music and excellent room to the side for events.
We had the best experience at Johnny’s Irish Pub! I was able to plan a surprise party from out of town, working with Kristen on this was so easy. Her and Todd are awesome and everyone has the BEST time at the party! Perfect event space big enough to hold everyone, they had a great band playing! We were able to decorate and cater food! We really appreciated all the help with the party and all of our guests had an awesome time there! Would highly recommend!

I came here tonight with my son and a friend to listen to Hello City, a Bare Naked Ladies cover band and we had a great time. It was only my second time at Johnny's and I just love it here. A quaint, local bar with amazing service and friendly faces everywhere you look... you can't go wrong! 7/22 tonight was absolutely wonderful. Friends of ours had Johnny's reserved for a private event and you couldn't have asked for more. Great atmosphere, top notch service and more!
Okay - we've become "regulars". Good (reasonably priced) drinks and great live music keep us coming back. The bar staff is awesome and friendly. Relaxed atmosphere at a nice neighborhood pub. Wish they would bring back the food menu but for now they suggest local establishments where you can get food and enjoy it at Johnny's while listening to a local (and varied genre) band.

What a great place to meet friends, hang out, see live bands, and spend an evening. Parking can be tough, but plenty is around the neighborhood. Great drink selections, and the owner and all the staff are super! As a band, it's a great venue for mid-sized shows. Stage is perfect for up to 5 people with smaller gear, and a super sounding room.
A delicious selection of bourbons, and a very knowledgeable bar staff to guide you towards whatever you might be looking for. One of the best venues in town for local music! Two stages, one in the bar area and another in a larger room (which can now be broadcast to the bar!) mean that whoever you're there to see, you'll always have a great view and room to dance. An outstanding array of things to do on any given night, from team trivia to open mic night to a packed house for the JPP, Johnny's is just freakin' awesome. And that SKIP! WHAT A BACON CHEESEBURGER OF A MAN!
We had a private party for my uncle. The room was spacious and staff was great! Bathrooms were clean. Drinks were perfect, not heavy-handed. There was live music and it didn't disappoint anyone. I had traveled quite a bit that day, was tired but Johnny's would be my go to neighborhood establishment. Give it a try, I believe you'll enjoy the atmosphere. 😉
Awesome! Thursdays from 7 to 8PM Trivia Night. Reservation requested. Great service, multiple beers on tap, and outdoor seating. Ample parking. Observes COVID Precautions. Entire venue happening soon.
Waited 10 minutes for a girlfriend without paying cover by 8:10. Got thrown out
