Been here a few times and have not been disappointed with the great food, portions and service. Sheralyn B, our server was wonderful and went above and beyond. Will definitely be back. Best mojito’s in town!!!!
Our waiter was awesome and the food was great! Thank you!
Food was awesome. Never disappointed. Sheralyn has been fantastic and attentive everytime we are here.
Food and waiter were amazing. Def reccomend the chicken tacos. 10/10 cant wait to come here again!
Milly was an awesome server. The food was delicious.
Sheralyn was amazing best service I’ve had in a long time food was amazing
Had lunch at Margarita’s Mexican Cantina today. I was hoping it would be better than some of the others that have opened in Greece. The outside is festive and inviting. I couldn't get over the complete makeover the inside received. It was bright, colorful and had great decor. The tabletops are fantastic - glossy & painted - ours had a Dia de los Muerto (Day of the dead) character. The wait staff was attentive and polite. I ordered a Combo dish of Chicken Enchilada & Carnita Chimichonga that came with rice and refried beans. I asked for more rice instead of the beans. The chips came to our table warm and the salsa was very good. The food was great! Our dishes arrived piping hot! By the time we left, there was quite a crowd & there were people waiting to be seated. Unfortunately, because it was an early lunch I didn't order a margarita. I plan on going back for dinner!
This place is great. I came alone so I didn’t have to wait at all to sit at the bar and order a very delicious ceviche. The order was great and not at all stingy on the serving. I over heard a few people at the bar enjoying the flavor on the burritos and fajitas. Definitely full of flavor and definitely coming back next time.
It was a great restaurant. A lot of choices. We had Sam as our waiter and he was awesome. Very friendly. Food was great.
Great food and drinks! Madison was friendly and attentive. Will be back!
Absolutely love it here. The food is always great as are the drinks. The staff is always attentive and friendly! I LIVE for the queso fundito!
Man listen!! This little pineapple dish was so good. I've been here before but never had this. The taste, the seasonings, the cheese sauce. OMG, now I gotta get it from now on. FYI: DO NOT!!! AND I REPEAT... DO NOT LEAVE THE LEFTOVERS INSIDE THE PINEAPPLE OVERNIGHT. IT RUINS THE DISH: MAKES EVERYTHING BITTER. REMOVE THE FOOD AND STORE IT SEPARATELY. IT SHOULD BE JUST FINE.
Awesome service Tanya was very great attended me with respect and a smile on her face didn’t have to ask for a drink cuz she was on top of it definitely going back
I've gone here twice, and both times I've been so satisfied with the food that I left full with a whole meal of leftovers. They have the best refried beans in the area, and their sauces are top-notch! Very spicy without compromising the flavor. I ordered the Al Pastor tortilla tacos that came with the refried beans and rice. Just be careful not to fill up on the chips before your meal. They are absolutely addicting!!
The best Margarita's ever! The service was excellent and food worth every bit of coming back again and again.
Visited last night. We ordered the shrimp tacos & Chimichangas and both were delicious. Took home a container of their tortilla soup and OMG! so delicious!! The soup had a flavorful broth and was chocked full of veggies & chicken (which was tender). We split it for dinner tonight. Will definitely be visiting again. Thank you. 😋
Everything about this place is amazing... even the decor. Food was really good and authentic with great portions. Entire staff is very nice as well. Relaxing environment... Oh and let's not forget the Piña Colada (extremely satisfying). Kudos and keep up the great work. It's only up from here 🙌🏿
Sheralyn B was my server. Went for a quick delicious lunch and that’s what I got! I highly recommend this place!
My favorite MX restaurant in Rochester so far (I’ve been to 6 of them that I can recall). The drinks and food are great. The staff is friendly. The price is bit higher than all others.
I love this place!! Food is always good! Madison hooks it up at the bar! Highly recommended!
Wonderful experience at Margarita's. Very tasty meal and attentive server. Good selection of beers and the menu had so many good options. They serve plenty of food, you could split a meal with someone and still get enough to eat. The roast pork was delicious. The plate shown, fajitas was not my order but it looked great so there you go.
Staff is 10/10. Super cool and friendly. Food comes out fast and they don’t complain when u ask them to give u like 10 refills of the free chips and salsa.
Another epic Mexican Restaurant, oops, Cantina has opened! Waitress was attentive (her first day), our Taco’s were perfect, the frozen Lime Margarita worth every penny. Family run, with daughter Brenda checking on Patrons, to ensure all is well. SUPPORT A LOCAL FAMILY RESTAURANT. Try this Place…….
MADISONNNNN THE GOAT FRFR! Starting with a smile and a greeting lead to an AMAZING experience with my wife! It will be Madison everyone please
Love the food, server was amazing. Manuel was great. Definitely coming back
Amanda and Madison are the best servers I have ever had. I come to this place specifically for these 2 individuals because they make me feel welcome and they always know what I want
Margaritas in Greece is our favorite! Food is awesome and Grant is the best server ever!!! Thank you for the continued excellent service! Highly recommend!
Great atmosphere, service was attentive and very fast. Food was hot and excellent. Usually personally not a fan of Mexican but wanted something different, this definitely was a great choice.
Sherlyn is the best! She is very attentive and personable. We love it when she waits on us. She is always smiling and happy.
Great experience! Great food and amazing margaritas! They were definitely packed for Mother’s Day but the staff held themselves well and I hope they’re treated appropriately and praised by management. I will definitely be back soon. The restaurant was clean, bathrooms orderly and there was absolutely nothing out of place.
Loved this place. Every member of the staff was awesome. Food was very good, overall experience was out of this world. Absolutely beautiful décor, every table, chair and wall is a piece of art. Sorry, no photos, thought I could post a video. Edit: went back to celebrate another birthday. This time took still pictures. Just as awesome this week. Definitely taking a 3rd granddaughter there for her birthday in two weeks.Took 3rd granddaughter for her 21st. She loved it and we all had a great time!
Truly authentic atmosphere and food. The artwork and detail in furniture brings a nice feel to the restaurant. Had the Burrito Bandera and was amazing. We also tried there 4 for $25 flight Margarhitas and the coconut was my favorite and ended up ordering the goblet of it. Would return again.
Stopped in for lunch with my wife. Lunch was comfortably full, we had to wait five minutes to be seated at just after noon. The restaurant looks great inside and the staff is very very welcoming. They started us off with chips and homemade salsa. Both were good. For our entrees we had chicken soft tacos and a combo two platter with chimichanga and an enchilada. The ranchero sauce is excellent. Everything was well prepared. We also ordered the homemade hot sauce. I recommend it. It took the tacos and chimichanga to the next level. We had a very nice lunch. We will be back.
Madison was awesome! Super helpful as I have a gluten allergy. She was very attentive and kind.
Such a great place to go and have some great food and drinks! Our server sheralyn really went above and beyond she was amazing! Our food came out so quick and it was a pretty great price for what we got will definitely be returning!
I popped in solo and grabbed a seat at the bar, and honestly it was the best decision I made all week. Sam and Edgar took amazing care of me — super attentive, fun to chat with, and made the whole experience feel welcoming even though I came in alone. The margaritas were dangerously delicious (like…you’ll want more than one 😏), and they even let me sample a couple potential new drink specials they’re working on — which was such a fun bonus. Safe to say the bar program here knows what it’s doing. The birria fries were absolutely insane. Loaded with flavor and the portion was massive — definitely bring a friend because there’s no way you’re finishing them alone… unless you’re really committed. Great vibes, great service, amazing food. I came for a quick bite and left planning my next visit. I’ll definitely be back. 🌮🍹🔥
Best Mexican food in Rochester NY. Hands Down! Don’t be fooled by the fake google reviews from other local restaurants. This is definitely where you want to go 💯
Everything was great. The margarita bowl was delicious and Milly our waitress was very kind and attentive
Customer Service was everything!!! Down to the food was amazing. And have to give it to Madison was amazing waitress. I will definitely be back
We had Grant as our server and we had the best experience! Grant is attentive, funny and always makes us feel like part of the family. We are returning customers of Margaritas and always request Grant for our server! We will continually return to Margaritas and see Grant and have a great meal!!!
It was my first time here and it was extremely pleasant. The music was upbeat, the food had great flavor, and all the workers were friendly. My server Sheralyn went above and beyond to make me comfortable and happy during my visit. She was constantly checking up on me all with a big smile. I’ll definitely come back and ask for her!
Sheralyn B. was a very pleasant server. She made sure we had all we needed. She made our Margaritas experience very nice. We'll definitely be back!! Food was delicious, as usual! God Bless!!
This is my third time here and my server has been Sheralyn B all three times and she has been absolutely amazing. She has been very attentive and fast. This is my new go to for mexican food, their food is incredible, fast service and amazingly priced, I will be a returning customer.
I had a great experience at Margarita’s. Our server, Milly, was amazing from the moment we sat down. She was friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed the whole time. The service was fast, and she had such a positive attitude that it really made the meal even better. The food came out fresh and tasted great, and the overall atmosphere of the restaurant was welcoming and comfortable. Milly checked on us regularly without being overbearing and made sure our drinks and table were always taken care of. You can tell she really cares about giving customers a good experience.
We absolutely love this place!!! Great margaritas, delicious food (fast and hott) and friendly staff!!! My man and I have been in the industry for a very long time and this is our favorite place to go that checks all of the boxes!
Stopped in for a late dinner with a party of 3. Place was pretty busy but service remained fast and efficient. Food was okay nothing too special or memorable. Cocktails were pretty good. We enjoyed watching the celebrations of guests by the staff that was pretty cool.
Great food! I appreciate that they were able to accommodate our very large group, and that they could accommodate my vegan and soy-free needs. They have a small vegan menu 😋
The perfect visit. Walked in, we were greeted promptly and sat right away. The inside is very clean. The grey tile here looks brand new. The air conditioning is blasting and feels appropriately cool for the hot weather outside. Complimentary chips were still warm with a good salsa. Food came pretty quick. The presentation and taste of the food was fantastic. Hot plates, hot delicious food, margarita is big and tastes great (pineapple jalapeño). Server was nice and attentive but the right amount of nice and attentive so he’s helpful and serves you but in the background and not overwhelming or checking up on us RIGHT AFTER we got our food like how’s the food while we all have mouthfuls lol. Great visit. Photos attached
This is a really fun restaurant with great food good service, and a great atmosphere our server Gia was attentive and friendly. The food had specifics and also in a la carte menu I made my own combo. The chips and salsa they bring out are phenomenal the salsa comes in a small carafe which is nice for distribution around the table. Although we didn't order alcohol or appetizers some of the other tables did and they were amazing looking as well as impressively presented. I'm very satisfied with my visit here and would return again.
I am appalled by the reviews as most of them are not deserved. This is an honest review. We have been here three times now. We come back for the food and the atmosphere. While everyone isn’t overly friendly, this is the way I prefer it. Fake staff working for a tip isn’t why I go to a joint to eat. I go because the food is delicious and as someone who has lived in New Mexico, it reminds me a lot of back home. The salsa is fantastic and this is a great place to eat. Four stars or higher is where this place truly is.
Taylor our server was excellent! Very patient and knowledgeable.
Went here for the first time, and we were all pleasantly surprised. We rolled out of there extremely full and happy. I ordered the "Tour of Mexico," which has so many options, it comes on 2 plates. I ate until I couldn't anymore and still took a plate of food home. We tried 2 different types of guacamole, both very good. My daughter wanted a simple chicken and cheese quesadilla, and this monster of one came out. She ate half of it and was stuffed. I loved the flavors, it all tasted great (the chili relleno was on point!!), and there was more than enough to feed twice our table. I had 2 mojitos, and if I had any complaint, it would be that they were more lime fizzies with mint as an aftertaste. I prefer tasting all the flavors, but it was a good drink overall. Service was friendly and non intrusive. We went on a Friday evening and had about the expected wait for a full restaurant, possibly a bit quicker. Overall great first experience, glad I tried it out, and we will definitely be back.
Food was really pretty good. Drinks were delicious, no overpouring and alcohol. So if you're looking to get drunk, this is not the place to go, but if you're looking for balance, it was good, the waiter unfortunately did not ask us if they wanted a second drink, did not resill anything didn't come back to the table and ask us if our food was okay. And disappeared when we needed the bill.
Better this time. Food very good. Service very good, wait time can be long so get there early. Takes reservations for parties of 10 or more Seated swiftly. Again food very good, service very good. A tad long on preparation and tge final 2 meals for our party of 6 took about 8 minutes later than the first 4.
Stopped into Margarita’s Mexican Cantina recently, and overall it was a really solid experience. I ordered the Tacos El Pastor and let me tell you — SO GOOD! The flavor was rich, the meat was cooked perfectly, and the portion size was just right. It may not be the absolute best Mexican food I’ve ever had, but for the price, it was pretty damn good. Definitely a spot I’d go back to. The staff was fantastic — super friendly, welcoming, and quick with everything. There was almost no wait time, and our food came out fast, hot, and fresh. That kind of service really makes a difference, especially when you’re hungry and just want to dig in. We started with chips and salsa, and while the salsa leaned a little on the bland side, it was still very enjoyable and easy to keep dipping into. Sometimes “easy salsa” is just what you need to keep the conversation flowing. Another highlight was the chicken flautas. Crispy, flavorful, and satisfying without feeling heavy — they hit the spot and made me want to try more from the menu next time. All in all, Margarita’s is a great local choice if you’re craving Mexican food. Friendly service, quick turnaround, and food that delivers solid flavor without breaking the bank. Not every dish will blow you away, but with tacos like those El Pastor and flautas worth raving about, it’s absolutely worth a visit. Four strong stars.
I did enjoy the presentation of my meal pictured here (even though I wonder if there is a hidden message there haha). Food was great. Service was good. The only thing I didn't care for was that they charge a 20% gratuity for any bill $50 or more. My understanding is a gratuity is based on the wait staff performance not cost of food.
I wish I took a picture of my drinks to show you guys. The margaritas are soooo good! I tried the cilantro jalapeño, the cucumber jalapeño, and the house margarita. I loved that they put fresh jalapeños instead of the pickled that I usually see. The service was slow BUT it did just open. My group tried 5 different tacos. They were average which is why I didn’t give 5 stars. The shrimp taco was salty but the carne asada taco was delicious! The rest were to be expected. If you’re going for just the food, I recommend elsewhere but if you’re getting margaritas with dinner, definitely check them out!
After our last Mexican food experience was lacking, Margarita's was the place we were craving. I'm a HUGE fan of both sugar skulls and the Day of the Dead holiday, and much of the decor was in this theme. My wife got the three taco plate - everything was well seasoned and cooked perfectly. Proteins were all tender and juiçy. I got a steak burrito plate and really liked it! If you want some heat, get the hot sauce on the side - be careful, it delivers all the heat most of us will want in small doses. Portions were generous - we saved room for dessert, have plenty for lunch tomorrow, and split a fried ice cream, which was plenty for both of us. We also got a margarita flight, and liked them all too! Service we thought was perfect; attentive, friendly, and efficient but not hovering. This place just got added to our "good list" - we'll be back!
The atmosphere and decor is top notch. We came out for lunch and we had and appetizer to share and we each has a main course and I had one Margarona! The Steak Burritos are 4.5 out of 5. Tremendous flavor very authentic seems like a Mexican meal from the city of Mexico. The Tacos de Birria 3.2 out of 5. Not a lot of flavor in my opinion. Same for the quesadilla with shredded chicken the guacamole that came with it was very Bland and tastes better at Chipotle. Now the service was outstanding where it was on point very attentive very nice caring put everything in correctly she's definitely a 5 out of 5 and that's what makes the experience of four
This was our first visit to Margaritas and we were very pleased with the food. The overall decor of the restaurant is very cool as well. The tables, walls, and even bathrooms are very nicely put together. The service was good. At some points it was a little slow but I suspect they are short staffed at the moment as many restaurants are. However, the staff they do have are awesome, had a great attitude, and were very attentive. In terms of the food it was delicious and the portion sizes where very generous. At first the prices seemed a bit higher then I expected when I looked at the menu, but when the food came out the portion sizes and quality were definitely in line with the price. I would definitely recommend the jumbo chimmichanga and the ceviche. Both were excellent. I would definitely go again and bring some friends along too!
Soooo This pic below 👇🏽 is from my first experience at Margaritas Mexican Cantina it was a weekday after work a Wednesday to be exact. The food was soooo hot, fresh, and good. Drinks were everything 🙌🏽🍹 so I gave it a 10 out of 10…..Moving forward I Went again on a Saturday with friends. It was busy we had to wait an Hour to be seated only for the food to be greasy and not seasoned 🤮🤢 and drinks watered down. So I will give this place 3 stars because evidently you have to go on a Weekday when the staff isn’t busy and overwhelmed.
Nice decor, food mostly fresh. Had taco, soft taco, fries, side guac. Taste so so, prixing ok. Sloppy katchup bottle and sticker on taco tray made it seem lime they miss some of the cleaning details. I. The days of covid take 2 seconds to clean the katchup bottle. Had ground meat tacos, just seemed mediocre.
Pork was tasty, service was great. Fresh chips. Liked the decor - bright colors gave the place the Mexican restaurant feel. Salsa seemed bland. Too brightly lit in my opinion. Ordered a ribeye medium rare with shrimp. Ribeye came medium to well done -no pink to it. Did not order dessert. Cadillac margarita was good. The menu print was very small but there is a lot on the menu. I would like to go back and give it another try.
The food was okay and the service was okay but I was disappointed, thought it would be better... The drinks are definitely not worth getting.... very watered down... My friend had a strawberry daiquiri that barely tasted like strawberry and definitely lacked in alcohol. I had a pomegranate margarita which was great if you love pomegranate ....but again lacking in alcohol. And if you want to take kids there, don't... No kids menu and very very limited options for them, my 6-year-old had a cheese quesadilla that cost $10 plus a $3 glass of lemonade.... I will say our waitress was very kind and heard me say that it was my birthday, so she brought us out churros as a surprise.
First time in, the salsa and the cheese sauce were very good, along with the chips. We got there right at 11 when they open, due to reading reviews of them being short staffed etc, like most places nowadays. I found 2 small hairs at the very end of my meal, I had a huge chicken burrito so didn't see till the end. My mom and bf got the enchiladas. Food was alright, wouldn't go out of my way to come again. But always fun to try a new place. Music was loud in there, and the paper menus were very hard to pick anything from, small print.
I've been wanting to go here for a very long time. The food was disappointing, flavorless, but my spicy margarita was delicious. Luckily living an an area with many authentic Mexican restaurants I won't need to return here. Too bad, they have a great social media page which is what brought me in.
I went for a margarita, the first time did not go well but I gave it a second chance, the waitress was awesome and so was the bar tender, I found that I did best with the perfect margarita even though it was a slushy (in usually do my margarita on the rocks) atmosphere is hit and miss as I dont like people, but the food carne asada tacos were bomb! My dog loved them! I would recommend a nice night here but like I told them being mexican in that restaurant it was not mexican enough but for the Americans is American enough lol.
Was out and about with family and couldn’t decide what to eat, so we stopped here. It’s an old ruby Tuesday that was remodeled, and they actually did a pretty good job converting it. Their menu is huge and we took forever to decide what to get because of so many choices. We ordered taquitos as an app, quesadillas and enchiladas for entrees. Food was okay, nothing special. The taquitos were really good though! Service was very fast, and staff were really friendly. 3 entrees, 1 app, and a soda was $90.
I was out and about.. and couldn't decide on what to eat..so I stopped here. They food looked great. The guacamole dip was good..the salsa was good.. the stuffed pepper ugh. Not my thing 😬. The portions are nice and the server was nice. I liked the beans, salsa and guacamole dip over anything else.
This place is a joke. The pictures show my $18 shrimp diabla plate. They are literally the same size shrimp I buy in a bag at Walmart for a few bucks. The plate comes with not tasty beans and not tasty rice. I happen to love lettuce so the heap of the stuff was a welcome addition to my plate. You also get 2 flour tortillas. I'm still horrified by the $18 price tag on this obviously not $18 quality meal. Additionally the chips are too thick and blah the salsa is bland. They also give attitude if you ask for a refill but 1 tiny basket for our entire table wasn't enough. With a mandatory 20% tacked on to any bill over $50 they better refill my chips! Never again...not worth it, no thank you.
The staff was friendly and helpful. Told the wait was 20 minutes we waited 45. I ordered the Fajita Nachos. The first thing I noticed were the vegetables and meats were dried out. I also noticed no cheese. I asked the waitress if this was normal and she said it did looked dry. I asked for cheese or queso. She did bring bring me a bowl of queso that was $8.50 no charge. My boyfriend ordered The Tour of Mexico. Three dishes came and looked good. He noticed the tamale on one of the plates were dried out and hard. He could not get his fork through it.. He asked the waitress if she would just bring another. The manager told the waitress they do not offer the tamales on the side so they did nothing about it. The manager never come to our table. We have no plans to go back. Los Gallos is down the street.
Good Evening my foodies. This was my first time eating here and the food was amazing. The only downfall was are waitress. Amber brought out our drinks and someone brought out our food and that was the last we seen of her. She didn't check on us to ask how the food was? Or if we needed anything else to drink or did we need anything in general. The door she came out of would lock so therefore she would have to walk around. She ask us did we need to go boxes with her foot in the door and when she came back with the boxes she handed them to us with her foot in the door saying it would lock her out and we're looking like are you that lazy to to walk 10 ft just to get back inside, I mean were the customer's why do we need to get up and grab something from you because it's an inconvenience for you. The customer service from a few that we encounter wasn't the best. Beside that the food was delicious. I'm not sure if I'll return, customer service is really big to me and you had 1 time to impress me and I wasn't impressed.
I ordered a chicken burrito… they gave me a beef one that tasted terrible. Totally not worth the price. I called and they said ordering online will mess up. Never ordering again. They really need to fix it. Terrible!!!!!!!!!!!!
Came here for a good outing with my female friends, to have some authentic Mexican food I was very disappointed in what I received. The burrito California was very dry and had lots of rice instead. I wouldn’t be upset but this rice wasn’t the best taste and was very dry. The three of us ordered water and the employe took our glasses which were empty when she came back yes they were full but we had to decipher what glass was witch. The common practice for every restaurant is to give the customer a new glass instead of taking the finished one. The place was also full of flies, I understand that it’s hard to contain these insects but in a restaurant it gives the place a bad look. Also a small problem was my glass of water had a crack in it like really. If I hadn’t realized it earlier I would of been injured. The only reason I have it at one star is the decor inside is very nice if I could of done 0 stars I would’ve.
The service was good. The atmosphere was decent, but the food was poor quality. I ordered the carne asada and half of it was fat plus veins of fat, through the other half totally disgusting. The rice was not Mexican rice and had mixed vegetables like it was American met. HOD and generais with Green Beans, peas, carrots, I think it even had Lima beans in it and the. Refried beans were soupy. Way too.Liquid need to be refried beans, more like pea soup, everything was completely bland. Do not order the carne asada unless you like spending thirty dollars on half a plate of fat.
2 nd time in , 1st time was Soo slow only barely came to table to say ? Soon??had only 1 server ,But we went back just left taco salad & quesadillas SO soggy we both used nampkins to soak up But the worse part !! was server said oh yea it has happened cause of lettuce ? Well then can a talk to manager she comes over w/ other w/ bunch of excuses & Then says what do you want me to do I said nothing. She Walked Away ?? Wow Great manager ! No apology nothing . Get the bill full price 1/2 our food was still on plates soggy. No 3nd chance pics were after the soak up , she walked away I’m still shakin my head !
Went for dinner with my mother in law and my husband. Waited 10 minutes for anyone to acknowledge us. To be fair the 3 people at the hostess stand were assisting 1 person. We finally got sat. We looked at menus and had decided what we wanted to order from drinks appetizer and meals. After over 10 minutes of watching all of the servers dance and act like it was a party in the corner and not 1 even came to get out drink order. We ended up leaving and as we were heading for the door they spoke up to us so we said nobody came to get our drink order for almost 15 minutes. They said nothing back. We walked out the door and the manager was standing outside the door smoking and playing on his phone. Customer service goes a long way. We told the manager we were leaving and why and didn't even get an apology he just went inside and spoke to his crew. I don't think we will go back.i will drive farther to go spend my money where service is better.
First and foremost this restaurant doesn’t live up to its name! The margaritas are terrible! Just call it Mexican Cantina. Strawberry and Raspberry tastes like old spoiled juice!!! The food was dried out and tough!!! Bland! We had to ask for the food that wasn’t brought out that was missing. Food was brought out by 3 diff people. The only thing that was good was the appetizer. We tried the margarita pitcher and like I said it tasted like spoiled juice. Almost like bad cheap wine! Then we went for a top shelf margarita one came out good which was the peach but the raspberry one came out tasting like I was drinking straight alcohol!! To add to this we were told we couldn’t make a reservation over the phone. We had to physically come in to make a reservation only to give a name and phone number to be told an hour wait. Not worth it at all!
The service was awful, other than the did sing for my daughter's birthday. They had terrible service. Didn't give us refills at all except for when we went to the bar to get them ourselves. The lady was unsure of the tortilla situation, so instead of bringing the correct amount of separate tortilla orders, they came as two separate tortilla orders with one containing 2 flour tortillas and 4 corn. Totaling 6 tortillas all together for 3 people to eat a whole meal that could make several tacos. Here's the kicker, they charge you for every extra side of the tortillas you get. They also no longer give you the salsa that comes with the chips for free anymore! They charge you for that, too. They decreased the amount of queso they gave you and still charge you 6 dollars for about a half cup of queso! That's insane 😳 I'm Hispanic, and I used to love coming here if I didn't feel like cooking. This is no longer the case. Everything is way overcharged now. The service has decreased. They changed the chef, and he changed the menu to be expensive, and all your bills have the built-in gratuity, for terrible service, and expect you to still tip. They got rid of one of the best waiters because he was sort of a package deal with the previous chef. So long, Leo. 😪 we had to sweep and clean our own mess, which I don't mind helping, the fact that no one even offered to clean it is crazy. The meal that used to cost us, like maybe 40/50, increased to 70/80 for just 3 people. 🫣😬 when they had better service, and checked in on us frequently, provided more tortillas with the meal instead of giving a bigger plate and barely any tortillas to make my tacos, gave us refills, napkins, and the food was worth coming here, this was my spot. That's not the way it is anymore, for sure. This place has gone downhill and just isn't what it used to be, and we literally used to come here allllll time!!! Like multiple times a month.
I am so disappointed in the decline in quality here. I had the Mole Ranchero with corn tortillas, the mole was flat and had very little complexity in flavor. The tortillas were like cardboard. The best part on my plate was the rice and beans. The horchata was glorified rice water. My husband had the Enchilada supreme snd while they made an accommodation for the dish he stated that overall they were mediocre. I've been here in the past (though it's been a while) and I'm definitely not going to be returning. If you are looking for EXCELLENT mexican food in Rochester, go to Adelitas in Victor or Pittsford.
