Love the place . I always get the chicken salad on croissant and this is my first time having pesto too much pesto less chicken salad. The young lady was willing to serve me something else. So I think I won't be getting that again. Other than that I love the place.
My tastebuds are singing with praise at the table. The flavor has me swooning. The creativity around the menu, the balance of taste has had me say wow, many times at the table. The waitress Alyssa is extremely knowledgeable and her recommendations are amazing. This establishment’s menu is pure Art. The drinks set the bar. Since moving to Texas, this has been the best place we have eaten after being here for 2.5 years. Absolutely fantastic.
Incredible experience, seated right away on a Friday night, service was the best I've had in a long time. Atmosphere is really nice, tight quarters but a real nice rustic at home feel. Took my wife for a date night and we can't wait to go back. She had the Texas redfish (pictured) and I had the cowboy cut bone-in ribeye (kind of pictured in the back). Compliments to the chef and staff for preparing a expectation shattering meal. It is expensive but I would gladly pay the price again for such an outstanding meal. I am extremely impressed and certainly will be back, such a fun place. I also met 0 rude employees or owners and to that I say, Dallas Texans venturing out of that privileged hole, try and be nicer people. Currently our favorite place, going back for those burgers for sure.
Pretty good ribeyes, hanger steaks, pommes frites and absolutely delightful deserts!
My husband and I went to celebrate our 5 year wedding anniversary. We had a card on our table from the staff congratulating us. We had several staff members wish us a happy anniversary and we received a complimentary champagne toast. The manager Logan even came to shake our hands and wish us a happy anniversary. They went out of their way to ensure we had a fabulous 5 year anniversary. The food was cooked to perfection, service was impeccable, and the overall environment was so pleasant. Highly recommend for a romantic night or any time you want to venture out. Great choice!
Food and drinks here are always divine - love the style and mixed menu so you can get as elevated of a meal as you're in the mood for.
We had lunch on a Friday and everything was excellent except for limited close parking...buts its worth the walk no matter how far. The food was excellent and we were served unbelievably fast. Menu items were unique and well thought out. Presentation was nice. Service was very good and our waiter was attentive but not bothersome. Our room was a little noisy (happy people in pleasant conversations)and could use a few more sound absorbing items in the ceiling or on the walls. I highly recommend this restaurant and we will return. Clearly, management is excellent and care about the whole experience.
This place was wonderful. We decided to try it out after seeing it on Daytrippers. The location is well laid out and deceptively spacious. The arrangement of having tables in different rooms in the house also means that there are only a few tables in the room with us, helping the space to not be overly loud even though the restaurant was full. There is also a nice looking outdoor patio that I'm sure would be lovely when it isn't crazy hot outside. Food was wonderful. We had delicious cocktails and an amazing baked goat cheese spread to start off the night. My wife and I had two different burgers and loved them. My in-laws had the red fish and they said they enjoyed that as well. Service was quick, helpful, and very friendly. Not a single company at all there. Overall, I would recommend this restaurant for either special occasions or slightly fancier casual dining. You can easily spend a lot of money on the entrees, but if you stick to burgers and sandwiches, you can also eat here frugally.
Bin 303 is an experience that everyone should have. The food which is amazing, from the tender delicios steak all the way down to the scrumptious vegetables, they have several delectable choices on their menu. The staff are very polite, attentive and friendly, it's so refreshing that it feels like family. All the way down to the building which is an older house built in the 1920's, Matt & Breean's personal touches gives it the family friendly atmosphere that you are looking for. And if you are on a date, or just want to be a little more private /(intimacy), ask for table 31 😘. So whenever you get a chance head on over to Bin 303 and have dinner with the family, it's worth it and I promise you, you won't regret it.
Creative menu, quality ingredients, GF allergy conscious, unique and enjoyable atmosphere. Highly recommend!
OMG! All I can say is amazing! I decided to take my wife for a nice lunch near home, and I found this gem. It was our first time visiting, and everything was nice from the first greeting to "see you again." The location was lovely and quaint with a rich heritage ambience. The food was seasoned perfectly, and the smoked flavor was a natural hit within the proteins. You can actually smell it walking up to the restaurant leaving us to feel like we must be in for a treat since there was a full parking lot causing us to find additional parking just off the property. For appetizers, we had the Iron Skillet Crab Dip and the Bandera TX Quail. For entrees, I had the Blackened Shrimp Risotto and my wife had the Smothered Smoked Chicken. For drinks, we both had the 3 Passions Martini, and for dessert, the Grand Marnier Creme Brulee. Our palates and taste buds were pleased and the service by Alyssa was amazing. On all points everything was perfect for us! This is now one of our new hidden gems.
This has got to be one of the most delicious restaurants I've ever had the pleasure to eat at, hands down. Every meal I've had has been delicious and nothing short of perfect. They always have such an interesting menu, too. I brought my friend for her birthday and we had SUCH a good time. The staff were friendly and even took the time to tell her happy birthday (not just the server!). Thank you Collin for being such a sweetheart for the night! The location is in a remodeled older home in downtown Rockwall, and that's such a cozy atmosphere. I highly suggest you visit if you haven't. Can't imagine anyone NOT finding something to their liking. If you're checking out my picture, that nearly empty skillet in the middle is a crab dip we demolished. Seriously too good to be good for us!
Beautiful mom and pop owned restaurant here in the heart of Rockwall! We were very impressed by our food, and the service here! The bacon cheese burger was phenomenal! Very juicy, and flavorful (cooked to medium). The restaurant used to be a home! It was a home you ordered off the Sears catalogue. We were very impressed by the love poured back into the place. Perfect ambiance for a romantic night!
My wife and I decided to make weekly date night a priority. Our goal is to try a new restaurant each week. Week 1 of 52 was BIN 303, in Rockwall and we were so pleased that it lived up to the positive reviews we read online! This place is open 4pm - 9pm for dinner, Tuesday-Sunday and a reservation is suggested. Lunch hours are 11-2 on Tuesday-Friday. Our table was ready for us, though we arrived a little early. Our server, Adam, was very attentive and pleasant. BIN 303 is a renovated historical 1920’s home, which opened about 12 years ago. The atmosphere is open, warm, clean and quiet. Our appetizer was goat cheese melt, served with grilled toast. I had a house salad and crusted flounder served with warm, shaved Brussels sprouts, while Duane had huge beer battered shrimp, with a unique and delicious coleslaw and perfectly seasoned, crispy fries. Price was on the high end, but I give this restaurant 5 stars!! Bin 303
Bin 303 never disappoints. The culinary experience delights your palate without overbearing wait staff. The experience is exactly DFW chic... great food, expertly prepared, casual or formal-if-you-care. Recommend first experience to be the always exquisitely prepared red fish, yet every protein from the filet to the pork chop has always delivered.
In town to visit family and needed a yummy dinner and found Bin 303 by reviews on Google. It absolutely lived up to the reviews. The restaurant is a house setting, so each dining space is broken up into smaller rooms. I appreciated how quiet and peaceful it was. They have a great menu and a great selection of wines. When I asked for a sample of one of the wines, they brought it right away. I would definitely recommend this restaurant and can't wait to go back here! Oh, and I didn't use this space, but they did have cute seating areas in the front yard.
Great atmosphere in a old home just off the main square. We went to celebrate our anniversary and were greeted at the table with a cute card and some flowers and a glass of champagne to toast. I ordered the pepper dusted filet with a side of the bacon Brussels sprouts. The steak was cooked perfectly and was so tender you almost didn’t need a knife. Husband has the TX redfish and was very impressed with that as well. We will definitely be back
We went on a Saturday afternoon before Mother's Day. It's a renovated old Sears kit home with lots of charm. Walking up, the landscaping is beautiful and the front porch is cozy and welcoming. The hostess was friendly and we were seated quickly. The front room is the bar area and the other rooms are for dining. You can make reservations and there are private, curtained booths as well. All if the food was excellent, I don't think you could make a bad choice.
This was a Jem to find. Our first time eating at this establishment and it was for our anniversary (060825). Becca was an incredible and very informative host. The food was well prepared and delicious. Everything was fine, the only drawback was that the air conditioner sprung a leak on one side of the dining room. The staff took care expeditiously, but had to leave a bucket on the floor to catch the drips. Other than that, I highly recommend this restaurant and can't wait till we done there again. Thank you for your excellent service Becca.
Such a lovely spot for lunch. Tons of character inside and outside, the outdoor patio looks fabulous but indoors is full of antique decor. Our food was lovely and so was our server. Fun find, will definitely come back if I’m in the area!
Overall....impressed!... I'm giving this 5 stars because the service was excellent attention to detail was very well done the only thing I wish they could do here is make the food a little more hearty. everything seemed to be very light and fluffy and.. not very filling for the money. when I left after spending nearly $100 on my wife and myself for dinner oddly I was still hungry so I guess if you can afford it ...not too shabby ...if you want to fill yourself up I suggest finding a nice chicken fried steak somewhere . other than that it was very nice
I don't know why it's taken me so long to get here but I'm so glad I finally made it! Everything about the atmosphere is perfect! The sitting area outside with a fireplace to the wooden floors inside and small but charming bar area was great. Service was wonderful as well. The food is pricey but it was delicious 😋 we got the Filet Oscar style with a side of broccolini and the Chicken Carbonara pasta. The steak was cooked perfectly, the broccolini actually had flavor and the pasta was just as delish 🥩🍝 I will be back and I definitely recommend.
Bartender Jessica took great care of us! Her knowledge of bartending was only surpassed by her food knowledge. I guess shes new, but if she stays here....we will come more often if she does!!! The Bin Burger was to die for!
Bin 303 was AMAZING! A GREAT atmosphere, great food, local, great service. We were seated within a half hour and although they were very busy, we never felt uncared for or neglected. A 2 person table was as important as an 8bperson table. I really can't say enough about how great our experience was!
We decided to give bin 303 a try for our anniversary, and we were not disappointed. In fact I can't believe we've never been. The service was amazing, the atmosphere was comfortable, and the food was amazing. We started with the best calamari ive ever had. My wife got the steak and shrimp. I went with the copper head salmon. Everything was served quickly, cooked perfectly, and tasted absolutely amazing. If I could give them 10 stars, I would. Thank you for making our night even more special
Well this is may be the 6th time I’ve been here. I thought I had left a review already that wasn’t great, based on logistical and service related stuff, but maybe I didn’t. This is the first time I’ve been back in a long while, and I’m pleased to say, it did not disappoint and I’m glad I gave it another try. The food here has always been outstanding. I’ve always heard how great the steaks are here. Though I’ve eaten here a handful of times, this is the first time I’ve done a steak. I chose the pepper dusted filet. Might be in top 5 steaks I’ve had. It was perfect! The pepper dusting, the small mushrooms, the mushroom cream sauce was amazing and cooked to perfection!! We got the 3 sides for $16. Brussels sprouts had great flavor, truffle fries and twice baked potato were perfect. The unsweetened iced tea tased so good and was so refreshing. The flavor of the tea was really good. We had desert and chose the key lime pie. It was outstanding!! Get it.
I was pleasantly surprised how quickly our table for four was seated without a reservation at 8pm on a Friday. Food is more expensive than chain restaurants, but it's for a good reason. You can taste and feel the care that goes into creating your plate. The location is authentic and cared for (I suggest, though, that it is time to redo some of the table wood finish, it is getting sticky). Don't hesitate to eat here when you want a tasty and unique experience without the hassles of outsized egos dominating your evening. Highly recommend! (note: edited to fix typos)
Apologies for the photo. It was so delicious that I couldn't wait before I just dug in. The 22-oz Angus reserve bone-in ribeye was phenomenal. The atmosphere and location was amazing. Food quality was exceptional. This was my second visit so my review is consistent with my first visit. Our server was very attentive and knowledgeable. It's amazing that you can get all of this without having to drive to a big city. Definitely recommend, and you have to try the pork belly BBQ sushi 🍣. Trust me 😉
Great spot! A little pricey but food is worth it. Cool atmosphere, old house converter into a restaurant. I would highly recommend getting a reservation or expect a 45min wait. The bar/lounge area is first come first serve and a cool area. Cool outdoor lounge area as well. Great customer service which is rare nowadays!!
We made a reservation for 2 to celebrate my husband’s birthday and received the royal treatment! We were seated in a private booth and a card signed by many employees greeted us on the table. We started with the baked TX goat cheese. We both had filet mignon (mine was the standard) and the were cooked to our liking. We each got a different side to share (shaved Brussels sprouts & grilled asparagus) and they were delicious! My husband got the complimentary birthday treat and I got the crème brûlée. Deb was our server and she was such a delight! We will be back!
**A Delightful Dining Experience at Bin 303** Walking into Bin 303, I was greeted by a pleasantly quiet and dim setting, creating a comfortable and inviting atmosphere. It's the kind of place that makes you feel at ease the moment you step in. The service here deserves a special mention. My server, Logan, was excellent — attentive and well-informed, she answered all my questions with ease, adding to the overall positive experience. As for the food, it was impressive. I had the smothered chicken with Cajun sauce, which was a standout dish. The chicken was cooked perfectly — tender and juicy. The Cajun sauce added a great flavor without being too spicy, just the right touch to enhance the dish. This was my first visit to Bin 303. The meal was enjoyable from start to finish, making Bin 303 a restaurant I'll definitely return to.
This place is amazing. They can actually cook a proper medium rare and have lots of delicious sounding dishes. They also offer a kid's flat iron steak which my son loved. Our waitress gave us a little history lesson about the house also which was very interesting. Definitely check this place out!
One of the few places I've eaten that absolutely deserves five stars. Excellent food, service, and drinks. We started with the Iron Skillet Crab Dip and it was cheesy and creamy and delicious. For drinks we had the margarita, Bourbon Mash, a Yellow Rose of Texas beer, and a red wine--all great. For entrées we had the Standard Filet, Pepper Filet, Flat Iron Steak, and the Salmon. Everything was prepared perfectly and VERY tasty. Sides were loaded baked potato, truffle fries, mac and cheese, and asparagus--all excellent--and for dessert we had the chocolate ball, key lime pie, crème Carmel, and the sopaipillas, which were all wonderful. Service was friendly and attentive without being intrusive, and the atmosphere was relaxing. You should DEFINITELY check them out!
Friendly service, and a great menu! Our table ordered a few drinks, the goats cheese appetizer, an 8oz filet, burger, shrimp and grits and a kiddo Mac and Cheese. The food was delicious and service was efficient and friendly. Bin 303 is great for a date night, dinner with friends or a celebration! I recommend a reservations for the weekends
We went there to celebrate Valentines and the steak and shrimp were so good. I have had steak from a lot of restaurants and I must say this place is my favorite. 10 out of 10. Perfect place for a date night.
First and foremost we had Deirdre as our server and she was the absolute best!!! The food was amazing but her service made our experience so wonderful. First time here and I know it won’t be our last! We had the pork belly sushi appetizer, cheese bread appetizer, carbonara pasta, Mac and cheese side, and Banana dessert. All 10/10!!!
My husband and I had the best experience ever with the greatest server, named Deirdre on Sunday night Feb 15 2026. She was very knowledgeable about food and wine and she was extremely personable all while the restaurant was very busy she still never made us feel like we had wait. We will definitely be going back to see her and have another great experience and another amazing meal.
Such a lovely steakhouse restaurant. Blended dresscode, just bring your manners. Our server Lauren was sharp, helpful, and patient. The Filet Mignon prepared over a woodfire grill to perfection. The sides are a la carte with generous portions.
Food is impeccable. Never been disappointed with the food. Staff is also great and attentive. The Fries, as my wife says, "are to die for." The Calamari is fresh and hot, (And not rubberbands like most place make them!) Texican Burger was great, the Chipolte Mayo made it stand out. Salmpon is fresh and cooker perfectly. Very homey feel, but a bit loud. Oh well, who needs to talk when the food is this good!
Great spot with a cozy, upscale vibe. The wine selection is excellent, and the food was excellent and full of flavor. Perfect for date night or a relaxed evening with friends. Service was attentive without being overbearing. Cool bar vibes as soon as you walk in. Highly recommend.
first time at Bin 303 but definitely not the last. Love the cozy atmosphere, busy place, but still low hum where you could visit. The service was outstanding from the moment you arrive to your server, Even the bus boys were charming. We started off with delicious cocktails at the bar, but our table was quickly ready and they promptly brought our drinks to our table. I do not recall our wonderful Server’s name, but she was very engaged in the menu, well familiar with all the dishes which I very much appreciate, made suggestions and took great care of us. The menu had some difficult choices being our first time there as everything looked inviting . We went with the crispy pork belly sushi, confetti salad, and the Texas redfish. If anyone would’ve told me, I would enjoy any type of fish with the name Texas in it I would’ve been like yeah I don’t think so. This was grilled to perfection, delicate, and flavorful with the sun-dried tomato and goat cheese compound. We were really looking forward to a night out with an elevated food experience and a really great atmosphere and so happy we found it that Bin 303
Rich and I had an incredible dinner here last night. As soon as you walk in the atmosphere was so warm and welcoming, with the most festive Christmas decorations! Our waitress Grace was top notch and suggested all the best from cocktails to entrees and the amazing desserts. Delicious!!! We introduced ourselves to the owner/chef, Matt, who was so kind and friendly. Definitely on our top 3 places in Rockwall ❣️
Food is always excellent, topically go with a fillet, Mac, fries, and Brussel sprouts. The wife gets salmon, and we share the sides. Cheese bread and the pork sushi are awesome apps. Would recommend to anyone looking for solid food, good service, and a cool local spot. Do yourself a favor and plan ahead with a reservation if you don't want to sit at the bar.
First timers there tonight. We just had appetizers and a cocktail as we weren't very hungry. Had the cream of mushroom soup with goat cheese that melted as you stirred, goat cheese and tomatoes with toasted almonds with bread and risotto fritters that were delicious. As we walked out there was a young lady playing guitar live. Wonderful atmosphere.
We visited this restaurant while our aunt was in town, and we were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food and the friendly service. Walking into the restaurant, we were greeted by live music playing on the outdoor patio, creating a unique and inviting atmosphere. It’s an excellent place to enjoy a fantastic meal outdoors once the weather warms up. While the service was generally great, our server did make a small mistake by forgetting our appetizer. However, she quickly caught on and compensated us with an amazing dessert, which was a great way to make up for the oversight. Overall, we had a great time at this restaurant. The food was delicious, the service was friendly, and the location was convenient. We highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great dining experience. Only thing I recommend to fix would be the flooring as it felt fairly unstable when walking around the rooms.
Amazing place. Takes place in an old 1927 craftsman style home…..the food is local. The place is chef owned….we’re new to Rockwall and this will not be our last trip here. The sweets at this joint slap! That banana brûlée thing? Yeah…..amazing. My shrimp and grits were slap yo mama good. But with a leather glove because this place is low key fancy.
This place is fantastic. The vibe is great, the service is good, and the food is delicious. Can’t say enough about the Filet Mignon with mushroom sauce—I’ve had it every time I’ve been here, and it never disappoints. This last visit we also had the pork belly sushi, and it was incredible. Another favorite I’ll order every visit!
My wife and I visited for our 36th anniversary. The customer service was amazing, and our server, Deidre, was engaging and addressed our needs as well as those of other guests. Our drinks arrived promptly and met expectations. The entrees were prepared according to our requests and served fresh. For an appetizer, we ordered garlic cheese bread. My wife chose grilled salmon with jalapeno grits while I selected grilled redfish with asparagus. I had considered dining here for several years, and we decided to visit for our anniversary, making the occasion even more special.
Such a yummy restaurant! We often go to Bin for date nights. The pork belly sushi appetizer is our favorite, the 3 passions martini is tasty (I love blood orange martinis), and the smothered chicken with creamed corn or a steak are my usual dinner meals. Delectable. Lunch is great also, the chicken salad with pesto on a croissant is delicious. Service is also always wonderful! Highly recommend.
We have been coming here for quite awhile, we are always greeted as soon as we enter. We usually sit at the bar with Taylor and Brook who are awesome. Even when they are busy they make sure you have drinks refilled quickly. We have tried the Filet which was cooked to perfection, the sides are all so delicious. The Bin Cheese Burger is so tasty. The Jalapeno Cheese Grits are just fantastic. The service is always outstanding and they have a great happy hour 3pm to 6pm with 1/2 priced wine on tap and 4 dollar drafts. We enjoy coming here as the restaurant is always clean as are the restrooms. You will always get great service from Taylor and Brooke at the bar. We will return again and again.
My wife and I spent our date night at Bin 303 for our first time visit. We were very satisfied with our visit. A couple of whiskeys, a steak (that was cooked to perfection), Red fish that was extremely tasty, and appetizers with desert rounded out the dinner. Staff was extremely nice spending time to explain that we were sitting an early 1900’s Sears and Roebuck home conversion. We loved the atmosphere!!! Overall a wonderful time and look forward to another special night there in the future.
Highly Recommend!!! Good in every aspect! First things first - GET THE CHEESE BREAD!!! So awesome!! (You will notice picture inky has two slices left - went fast!)A must have! We had amazing service with Seeli - so nice - quick service! We had Tx Red Fish, Twice baked potato, Chicken Carbonara, Ceasar with filet strips and NY Strip - all great! If you haven’t eaten here yet - make sure you try it out - will be glad you did!
This is truly a cool dining experience. This was originally a house that was changed into a restaurant. We sat where the old fireplace was. The food is outstanding from the salads to the steaks. You could smell the deliciousness of the steak from outside when you park. The steaks are locally sourced Farm to table is awesome! Our server, Alyssa, was amazing! She stayed on top of everything flawlessly. Kudos to her. My friends kept bragging about this place!! At 7p they were getting ready for live music 🎶. They had seating and fire pits ready for the evening. I wish I had stayed longer. I will be back to visit!
We’re told this place has been around since 2009 and we’re just finding the hidden gem! What a beautiful old home that’s been fixed up to be a stunning restaurant. The exterior screams wine garden with live music and custom furniture. The inside has a rustic barn house mixed with industrial elements. We dinned at the bar, and the service was top notch. They have a rotating selection of local beers on tap, ranging from craft IPAs to local ciders. The food was just amazing too. The firewood smoked oven gave our meal the best touch of flavor. We can’t wait to come back and bring some family. We ordered the pork sushi roll and the smothered chicken. We highly recommend both! Place closes at 10! So be sure to arrive before 9:15 before the kitchen closes.
Excellent food and generous portions. Ver friendly and attentive staff. The vibes even on a Friday night are casual and relaxed. Rustic atmosphere, and be sure to ask your waitor the story of the house in which the restaurant operates! The chairs on the main dining side aren't the most comfortable, but Bin 303 is a 5-star dining experience and some of the best farm-to-table cooking in DFW. Highly recommend the Citrus Marinated Flat Iron.
Food is really good as ìs the service, but prices are way out of line.
This place is overpriced!over 50$ per person even for kids! They should put extra $signs next to the restaurant name ,so the peolple will know, and not get surprised when you get your bill!
Food and service was GREAT. Had to sit outside, which would be fine but there's not many actual tables out there. We had to sit in Adirondack chairs with a barrel top for a table. Uncomfortable. It looks like the outdoor seating isn't really intended for dining. It could be great if it was for drinks only.
Currently sitting outside waiting 45 minutes for a table. There are at least 5 open tables that would fit us but a high chair poses a “fire hazard”. Oh and we can’t sit outside because there isn’t a “designated waiter”. Here’s an idea on how to designate a waiter: “hey you now have a table outside”. Little disappointed that on our anniversary we have to wait 45 minutes because we had no choice but to bring our toddler. Edit: delicious food. We’ll be back, just frustrated about the initial experience.
Very good food, exceptional butternut squash soup. Service is good, cute old house turned restaurant.
Went for my birthday dinner. As you can see we set a reservation and they gave me a sweet card. We got the crab dip, wedge salads, steaks, and salmon. The sides we got were the doubled stuffed potatoe and the Brussel sprouts with corn and peppers. My steak was heavily peppered, while my husband did not have much and his was labeled peppered. The salmon was good. But the sides were on point and to be honest the steaks were perfectly cooked and thick. We were all full at the end and our waitress was fantastic and very much on point. She made sure we had everything we needed and then some.
Food was decent. Beer battered shrimp is crispy but bland, I don’t recommend it. We tried salmon, and it was good. Steak and fries is also great.
Bin 303 is run by husband and wife team, Mat and Breean Nugent who share their love of wine and excellent Texas cuisine with anyone who finds their way through the doors of this historic location. The staff was friendly, very helpful and incredibly knowledgeable of the menu. The food was very good and definitely highlighted the "Go Texan" attitude in food form.
The food here is consistently delicious and well seasoned. Service was excellent & the staff was attentive without being intrusive and made sure we had everything we needed. This time we sat in the bar area, which we preferred over the back dining space. The restaurant’s setting inside an old Sears house adds a unique charm. Last time we were seated in the back, the table placement felt a bit close to others, which made it a little awkward during our anniversary dinner. The bar area, by contrast, was more comfortable for conversation and atmosphere. Every dish we’ve tried has been flavorful, especially the steak, which was outstanding. While the prices are on the higher side, the quality and experience make it a nice treat for special occasions. Highly recommend for anyone looking for great service and memorable flavors in a cozy, character-filled setting!
Tried this place for the first time. Our server was spot on with refills and availability to take care of any needs, good job Addi! We got the pepper dusted filet, whiskey marinaded pork loin, crab dip, jalapeño grits, wine, old fashion, and crème brûlée, The food was amazing first off. Only draw back is the filet came really rare instead of medium rare, had to send back to re-fire. Reason for lower overall rating. It can be very pricing depending on what you get (Our total w/tip was $275 for 2 people). However, I will come back to try out other menu items.
Excellent food and drinks. The big negative was the large group of men they seated next to us were extremely loud, which totally destroyed the atmosphere. The restaurant needs to have big group seating and smaller group seating away from each other. When you are paying fine dining prices, you expect to be able to enjoy your meal. This isn't a Ponderosa or Denny's.
Tried Bin 303 again, after a few bad experiences. My husband and I both got burgers: I order the Bacon Cheddar Burger and he ordered the Texican. My burger was cooked perfectly and tasted fantastic, but it was served dry...so I had to ask for mustard/mayo to dress the burger. I also ordered their Truffle fries, which were also quite tasty, but they came out nearly cold. My husband's burger came out, as ordered, and was perfectly cooked. Neither of our burgers came out hot. Perhaps they were sitting too long before they were delivered to our table. No idea. Our server, Madelaine (sp?), was attentive and friendly. Kept our glasses topped off and checked on our table often. She was the best part of our dinner experience. The food was OK, but not stellar, for the price. The atmosphere was good; I actually love the thick curtains, wood floors, and the vintage vibe. Not sure if we will be back there, just because we have high expectations for the prices they charge...
Been here before and found it satisfying, but not this time! For $70+/person, not impressed at all. My NY Strip steak was gristly and tough. The accompanying three grilled shrimp were overcooked and rubbery. My sides were disappointing - Mac n cheese (runny/milky below and dry cheese above), potato puree (apparently a fancy name for mashed potatoes that tasted like they came from a box), and shaved Brussels sprouts combo (meh!). Service was good as our server was attentive and helpful - but not enough to save this overpriced fiasco. Sorry Bin 303 - try harder next time!
Food was good. It wasn’t an intimate setting as there was a table of 10 behind us that were very loud. The room we were in the floor you could feel every movement which made it comfortable as you ate. The floor was old and unstable. Which is understandable as to the history of the building but it was very uncomfortable and I felt like I had to brace myself each time the staff walked quickly in and around the room. The waitress dropped a container of ketchup on one of our plates and it splattered on me and she didn’t even apologize or acknowledge it. Though it wasn’t a lot it was the point that I was finding it on my clothing after leaving. She also seemed annoyed that she had to wait for our order as we were waiting for my daughter to arrive. The special was good. The key lime was good but I felt the cheesecake was dry. I was a little upset because my drink wasn’t done and the bus-boy just took it off the table and didn’t ask. Just because it’s in a certain location never assume always ask if a customer is done. I felt rushed to leave when we were done and found it difficult to spend time talking. Very unfortunate as it was a celebration dinner for my birthday that my daughter took me to.
Great atmosphere, above average service, but not spectacular. Most food was excellent, only a few kind of meh. Biggest issue is the prices. The cowboy steak was SIXTY DOLLARS! With ZERO sides! Most entrees hover around the 30-60 range. And while the steak was good, I've had FAR better for HALF the price. My wife even commented it want as good as what I make at home. I looked at the pictures of the menu before I came, thought $40 was kind of expensive, but not overly so, so we decided to come anyway. Imagine my surprise when I found out all menu prices had been drastically RAISED! As such, I took all new pictures of all menus and posted them here. On top of that, some items, like the baked Mac and Cheese, clearly were marked $16, but I was charged $18. Had I not taken pictures of the menu to start, I'd have never known. Bottom line, would I go back? Maybe every once in a while, but certainly not a place I would frequent. YMMV.
Really cool old house - lousy service, and I mean attitude bad - will not be back - went for a friend's birthday - Bin 303 has a rustic cool country feel to it - great wine selection, reasonably priced too - we arrived to the surprise party late to complete a party of 8 - our Server who was young and pretty and knew very little of wine - I ordered polightly a "I would like a Large Bottle Format Belle Gloss Pinot Noir - do you know the vintage on that" - Birthday Girl likes Pinot Noir - Belle Gloss is on the menu- excellent! As I proceed to order the bottle, our server stares at me and asks "what do you want?" I politely point to the offering on the menu to which she replies- "that's the large bottle format" , "yes Ma'am"- I replied and smiled politely - no smile, rolls eyes an sc sighs, she then looks straight at me (mind you with a look as if I am bothering her and know nothing of wine) "what do you want?...sigh" - "the large bottle format of the Bella Gloss Pinot Noir plese with 8 glasses for the table please" I replied, "and may we get a decanter to pour it out easier - wine was not presented for approval to the person buying it - Me , I excused myself to use the mensroom, I return to the table to find that this roughly $300.00 has now been opened - never offered to the host - Me for tasting, rather the bottle was opened without me, then partially poured round the table to confused guests - I had to explain what was happened - then polightly asked for the cork and bottle - the icing on the terrible service was the complete lack of training in how to properly server wine - this is a wine place....but it gets better, I mean worse - ok- order a Filet Medium Rare - easy right? Wrong - this is what my medium rare looked like (after cut immediately into the center tok confirm the temperature - overcooked - I don't want to cause a scene because this is my Fiancé's best friend's birthday dinner and She chose this place $500.00 later I'm leaving, hungry, I little shocked at the complete lack professionalism and or hospitality - this is VERY atypical for me - but I have to be honest so "THEY" Bin 303 can get better - super disappointed 😖 Cherry on Sunday seeing Server try to pour out the rest of the wine in the decanter and into the glasses of our friends and literally dumping almost a glass of wine on the table - so sad,
High priced only had an appetizer 22$ for bacon wrapped quail wich was just cut up chunks bacon wrapped and slathered in raw sauce for the price it was sub par at best total out the door was around 34$ for that and 2 sodas
In the past we’ve had a wonderful experience. Today for lunch…very disappointing. Our server Diedra brought out the wrong side. By the time we got the correct side, my husband was finished with his steak. I ordered the BLTA (from the lunch menu) and my bacon was so hard that neither of us could bite it or even cut it with the steak knife (this is not an exaggeration). Our server said almost nothing to us; not even an apology for the wrong side or the time it took to get the correct side. Based on today I could not in good conscience recommend the lunch service.
I used to enjoy this place but the last few times it has been a let down with food and service. I called last week for a table of 6 for 8pm and the rude woman on the phone stated they closed at 9, could I be there at 730. I explained our event ended at 730 and we wouldn't be able to make it there until 745 or a few minutes later. She took an attitude and said we could try to walk in. I guess business must be great to turn down a 6 top that you don't feel like you can serve within an hour. We will never return to this restaurant and I'm sure the owner would love to know people are getting turned away because they want to stop taking seats 1 hour before close.
Worst dinning experience of my life. And such a dissappinted for my wife on our anniversary. I took my wife for our anniversary. It was our 4th time dining here since we moved to Rockwall. I had the red fsh which was mediocre at best and slightly overcooked but not terrible. My wife ordered the fillet, we gave Kristen very specific instructions to cook it medium plus and to make sure it was not bloody. The steak came out very dark purple/red and cold center. Kristen took it back and when she brought it back it was almost the same inside and burnt black on the outside. When we showed it to Kristen she said " that's how we cook our mediums" obviously did not even remember how we ordered it. There was so much blood on the plate thst they had to bring out another plate and switch them out. Any reputable high end steak house would have at least replated it before they brought it back out. She said they would try again with a fresh steak and make it medium well. (The medium well part was her suggestion) When it came back it was just like the first steak. At this point I had been finished with my meal over 20 minutes so when she offered to cook it some more my wife decided she didn't want it and was ready to leave. Then kristen brought us our bill. I would have expected that they would have taken the steak off, or at least offered to discount it since it was just thrown in the trash. When kristen came back over to the table, I asked nicely if I could speak to the manager. She told me that she was one of the managers. And if I ask why they were charging is for the stesk, she said, that's just what they had to do since they tried to make it twice. I don't care if they tried to make it seventeen times it was never the way we ordered. When i ssid thst the steak wss never the way we ordered she said thst wasnt her fault. They're cook obviously did not know what he was doing. And if Kristen is a manager and that's the way they treat unsatisfied customers, I don't expect they'll be in business much longer. We will certainly never go back, I hope the $49 was worth it to loose a regular customer and hopefully many more who read this. P.s. I am always a very large tipper giving 25% or more if the experience is good, our last meal there with another couple we tipped over $100 . Tonight Kristen earned 0. On a $159 ticket. That is the first time in my life I didn't leave a tip. Please if you go to Bin 303 do not expect to get what you pay for, or you will be very disappointed
