We love going to Snuffers! My daughter gets the kids chicken. She loves it and really loves the ranch. We have to always get extra. :) Of course we have to get the cheese fries every time. What's a Snuffer's visit without cheese fries? We also like to try the different burgers. I highly recommend!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Snuffers, and I must say that the service provided by our waiter, Luke H., was exceptional. From the moment we were seated, Luke was attentive, friendly, and incredibly professional. He made sure we had everything we needed and was always available to answer any questions about the menu. His recommendations were spot-on, and his upbeat attitude made our dining experience truly enjoyable. Luke's attention to detail and genuine care for his customers set him apart. The food was good, but I ate like a pig as usual and left feeling like I was going to blow up. The server was nice and we told him about the haunted Snuffer's location on Greenville Avenue. I wish the location in Rockwall was haunted, too.

Great view of lake, cornhole outside and some covered patio seating. Its seat yourself. We had a server named river and she was the best, very sweet and made sure we always had drinks. We came when the place was full because fathers day but she got us right in and cleaned a table. Fried Pickles and mushrooms are a MUST. You get to choose how you like your burger cooked and it actually comes out how you ordered it, unlike most places. We will be back.

Had a family gathering to surprise my husband with a reveal of his dad old Toyota truck so we had about 16 people. The food was great but the service we received from the waits staff was wonderful especially Misti James! Misti saw to every need we had and was great at getting everything to us in a timely manner! The family had a wonderful time and Misty and Snuffer’s were on top of their game in serving us! Wonderful memories made!

Had a great meal here tonight with an excellent waiter. Really impressed how quick and accurately our meal was prepared. Hamburgers were excellent and the cheese fries were really good. Chicken fried chicken and chicken fried steak looked good and everyone seemed to enjoy their meal.

We usually have to wait a long time for service, but our server Jaime was fantastic. He was quick, polite, and has the voice of an angel! It’s like a combination of Fergie and Jesus!

Snuffer's is known for their cheddar fries. This is a must-have when visiting. It comes with ranch, bacon, chives, and jalapeños. I also ordered the fried jalapeño burger, which was amazing. All the food is fresh and cooked to order. If you sit on the patio, you'll get a neat view of Lake Ray Hubbard.

Upbeat atmosphere! Lots of television options. The appetizer was not only delicious, but huge. We had to stop eating it so that we would be able to eat our burgers!! :) Our actual order was waaaaaay late, BUT it was okay because our waitress was on it. She recognized we hadn’t received after a long wait. Apologized. And had her manager bring us our order when it was finally made!! Then he OFFERED to pay for those amazing appetizer fries!! But let’s get back to our waitress! She was FABO!! So great- the 10$ we saved on our fries went into her pocket. I don’t wanna say her name, as I didn’t get her permission to do so- but she knows who she is, and I hope she reads this because she deserves to feel some pride for her excellent service abilities! It was banging busy, and she kept up, and more than handled the stress all while smiling and being just super delightful! Sweet girl, I hope you enjoy that 35% tip! You deserve it!

Came in today and had a GREAT experience! There was a big lunch rush which lead to a few dirty tables but the servers were very attentive in cleaning the tables, restaurant, and making sure my party had a good time. Food was great as always. I for sure recommend this place to anyone because the staff always works super hard!

I'm out of town for work and asked about a good burger. I was told to try this place out. Don't let the peeling paint on the outside fool you, come inside. The bartender that night was awesome. You could tell she had been working there a while and why she had had her regulars. This place had everything I needed and wanted without all the thrills. Cold beer, fried pickles, a damn good burger and playoff hockey at the bar. I will be back before I leave town. May I recommend a green chile bacon cheeseburger...

This is a nice spot. The atmosphere is chill for a quick bite or a sit down visit. They might play live music… or he was a musician having lunch lol. Food was delish! The food there has its own mark. Nothing is your “normal” and from the cheese fries to the sesame bun to the flavor of the chicken strips. Unique flavors and it’s a hit for me. Give it a try!!

I miss the original location on Greenville. After they rebuilt it, it as never the same. Same great food here though. Cheese fries are an absolute must and highly recommend the spicey chicken strips and sliders. One odd thing .... it was not close to closing, and there is a bar here, but when we attempted to order coffee at the end of the meal, they said they dont serve coffee. ??

My fiancé and our friends love Snuffer’s so much. We love having a neighborhood bar with great food, great burgers, and awesome service. I don’t eat meat so it’s awesome that snuffers has a veggie/black bean burger. It’s delicious! The boys also love the fried Oreos. It’s a nice treat! Our friends also like to do a weekly “SNUFFERITA SHOWDOWN” where we all see who can finish their snufferita first. Makes me feel young again haha. Great spot. Love the vibes

I really enjoy snuffers! Great food, great service, we've enjoyed everything we've ever ordered here. Today 2 of us split the fajita chicken nachos -16 nachos topped with beans, chicken, cheese, served with some pico de gallo, jalepenos, sour cream, guacomole, and salsa and had leftovers. $14.50. I have no idea why people go eat fast food when this amazing gem is here! And their burgers are dellicious!

Stopped in for an early dinner. Sat in the bar and Luke was our server. He was great, food was really good (and plenty of it). We split the mushrooms and pickles appetizer and had a Texas chili dog, Patty Melt, fries and sweet potato fries. Chili dog is huge, but very tasty with an all beef dog (think Costco hotdog but bigger). Probably the most reasonably priced bar food restaurant in Rockwall.

We tried this place for dinner one evening. We entered and you sat yourself. We found a booth and sat down and our server Luis came and got our drink order and appetizer order of Fried Mushrooms and Fried Pickles. The Fried Pickles and Fried Mushrooms were awesome, you could tell they made them in house. Perfectly fried with a great flavor. I ordered the Chicken Fried Steak and my partner ordered the Bacon Avocado Burger. Both were delicious and prepared to perfection. The Chicken Fried Steak is a steak that they bread in house and has the best flavor I have tasted in a long time. The Bacon Avocado Burger was prepared very well where you could taste the flavors in every bite. Then for dessert we ordered the Fried Oreos which were amazing. Cooked to perfection and so delicious. We will definitely return. This looks like a new favorite for us. Cannot wait to try other things on the menu. The restaurant was clean as were the restrooms.

Servers are friendly and food is prepared fairly quickly for a busy Saturday afternoon. Hubby ordered the brunch burger, comes with bacon and a sunny egg, it was cooked just how he liked it, no issues. I got the chicken club wrap, generous amount of chicken in there as well as bacon bits and greens. Fried mushrooms are a must whenever we go, the mushrooms are not heavily breaded and go sooo well with their house ranch- delicious!!

We had the Chicken strip basket with onion rings and the classic cheeseburger for a quick lunch. Onion rings were fantastic. The burger was also very good , cooked perfectly with a little grilled crunch to the patty. The chicken strip batter could have used a little more seasoning, while we specifically requested the non spicy batter, there was not a lot of flavor to the batter. That said, we will definitely be back. Service was excellent.

This establishment has a great view of Lake Ray Hubbard. Since it is perched above the lake, the views are beautiful! The service was also great. It was our first time and my daughter suggested it because she'd been before. I took my entire family, all 8 of us. Our Brook was our server and she was great! 👍👍 She kept our waters flowing and she checked on us multiple times. She was friendly, smiled often and was very courteous. When my wife asked for more gravy, she quickly filled the order. As usual, the key for me for any restaurant is how the restroom looks. I walked into it and was pleased at the clean sight of the restrooms. Even more, the restroom smelled good and you can tell they paid attention to their restrooms. My burger was AWESOME and all my children commented at how great their food care!

My first time of going to Snuffer's in Rockwall, and it was so delicious! Our waiter Brandon was so courteous and good - then our waiter switched out to, Stormie, who was just as excellent! They made this first time experience for me and my 2 friends wonderful! They offer a hamburger special from 11 a.m. through 4 p.m. which you can order their hamburger or cheeseburger and you get a side of fries for $0.99. Because of a small mishap- besides it being two birthday celebrations, after everything was explained to the manager by our waitress they honored the special and gave us a piece of cheesecake on the house! Now this is excellent customer service and we will be returning- not to mention the burgers are excellent! Super delicious, juicy, the bacon is extra crispy, the vegetables are fresh, and the meat patties have an excellent taste. The fries were good and the onion strings were good too however the fried mushrooms blew the house down with their homemade ranch dressing! Loved it! I don't live anywhere near this Snuffer's but my first time experience was one that will take me back again

Stopped in for a quick bite before an event so we ordered salads. I had the bacon salad which was good. I didn't feel the serving was a value, however, the dressing was delicious. The coffee was horrible, this is not the place for coffee. My date really loved his chicken salad and wanted to go back again. He's extremely picky so that alone warranted a good review and although the serving wasn't a lot, I managed to leave satisfied.

Snuffers always been a go-to. The Greenville ave location has been around forever. This was my first time at the rockwall location and I was not disappointed with my meal. Burger was great 👍 fried mushrooms were perfect 👌. The chicken sandwich cutlet my son said was a lil tough . Great bar and the patio has a view of the lake (and the highway) 🛣

Nostalgic even though this was my first time here! The food was indulgent and so good! 100% beef chili dogs and thick burgers. That BBQ sauce with the Dr. Pepper is unbelievable, I wish I could buy a bottle to take home. The fries were a little on the well done side but thats how my dad likes them. We were too full for dessert but you could smell brownies! They have really good ranch too, it tasted like it was made there and not out of a bottle. Always a bonus. Kaylee our waitress was a delight and I, a grown woman, colored an ornament for their tree and had a blast!

Burgers are always good. It's the rest that makes or breaks. Today, not as good for take out. Seems like the fried mushrooms size got smaller. I wish they'd have two different order sizes. Requested medium rare and medium well burgers. Both were medium rare. Still good, but not what I ordered.

Staff were friendly and attentive, which definitely added to the experience. I ordered the 1/4 pound burger combo with fries and iced tea for around $10—solid value. That said, the burger itself didn’t quite live up to expectations. It was decent, but felt smaller than advertised and lacked that standout flavor. Fries were a bit soggy, likely from sitting too long, which was a letdown. Still, the atmosphere and service make it worth a visit, especially if you're looking for a relaxed spot to grab a bite. With a few tweaks to the food quality, this place could easily hit five stars

The food is very good, however, we came and waited about 5 minutes at the table before anyone noticed us. She took our drink and appetizer order. A different person dropped that off. Our waitress pretty much ignored us for over 15 minutes. I had to actually flag her down and stop her to ask her to take our food order. After she took our order we were ignored completely for over 40 minutes. The waitress didn't come check on us. She didn't offer refills. And she didn't update us on our order. I finally said something. A few minutes later they brought our food and a lady told us she was going to comp our appetizer. From the time we arrived, it took an hour to get the food because we were ignored by our waitress. The kicker. On the way out, they did not, in fact, comp the appetizer. We paid full price to wait an hour and be ignored and had to ask for any service we got. The food was also very expensive for what we got.

Came here for lunch with coworkers and sat on the patio. The lower portion of the table was wet and should have wiped down. Service was great and the waitress even brought a bowl and water for my coworkers dog. I ordered a $13 classic burger that I feel was too expensive especially since it didn't come with fries. It was cooked to my liking but lacked flavor. My friend had chicken fried chicken that came with two sides and looked really good. I wished I had gotten that. Lol That being said I would go back but may try something different next time.

First time here and I wasn't that impressed. The booths are small. Our food was just ok. We didn't get our appetizer till when our food was already coming and our beer on tap was not cold. When we questioned the waiter he said a girl broke the door off the cooler so that's why. Soooo u cldnt of gave us a heads up! Not good customer service. On a good note, I ordered a burger and it was really good. My husband got the chicken fried chicken and it was not as good as mine. It was small and super thin. Makes u wanna ask, where the meat??!! Only get 3 stars cus it was just ok! Unfortunately won't be back anytime soon.

TLDR: The food is great, the restaurant needs a lot of TLC. We came to Dallas for work and have extended family living here. This Snuffers location was the perfect meeting place, 1 hr drive for all parties! We called ahead to reserve tables and they gave us 2 long booths. Not ideal for conversing with people you haven’t seen in 5+ years! The AC seemed to be broken 🥵 and there was buckets of water catching drips form the ceiling. The bathroom was horrendous - oh the smell. All that being said, the food was great! If you can get away with sitting on their pretty patio and holding it until you get home, check it out!

We visited on a Monday evening for dinner and they were not very busy. They have a seat yourself concept so we chose a booth for 3. We were greeted quickly and the drinks arrived quickly. The server seemed like he was in a bad mood and really didn't want us there. We ordered our food and everything came out quick. The food was good, my Green Chile burger specifically was delicious, especially with cheese fries to go with it. I just didn't feel the good vibes from the server and that's the reason for 3 stars.

We stopped in for lunch and 3 of us got hamburger lunch specials. I got the Texas Nachos with beans and cheese. The nachos are served as individual chips with a very minuscule spread of refried beans (not much at all) and a ton of cheese. Best to stick with a burger! The Shiner Bock keg was also out.

Normally, I'm a fan of Snuffer's. But last week, things weren't up to par. It started out with our waitress bringing us 2 waters while we waited for our friends. They got there, and probably 15 minutes went by with no additional server stops. I finally caught her attention and she said,"Oh, I'm not your waitress." I apologized, saying I made an assumption when she brought our water. She said, "I didn't bring you water." (She 100% did.) She said she'd find our server. Great. Eventually she came back and said, "I'll be your server." She took our order, then disappeared for about 20 minutes. We'd ordered appetizers, but they didn't come out in that time. She finally came back and asked us to confirm what we'd ordered. We did, as she flipped through her notepad, then said something about the system clearing it out. A few minutes later, she came back and asked questions about our order again. One of the people at our table referred to what she'd said about the system clearing it out and she, with a blank look, said, "Huh?" It was like she had zero recollection of what she'd said. Eventually, the food came out. My salad was supposed to have avocado on it, but it didn't. So I respectfully asked if I could get the avocado slices. She asked if the salad came with it. I told her it was on the menu. She asked me to show her where, so I did. She went back to the kitchen and got them for me. Good deal. We were there a very long time. Fortunately, we're very patient people. Something was off with our server. She was very kind and seemed like a nice person, but something was really wrong. It was like she didn't remember things she'd said or done. At first, we thought it was because the restaurant was busy, but it cleared out and everything was still the same with the service. The food, unfortunately, was mediocre (my avocado was great, though!), and the service, to be honest, was... bizarre. We go out every Saturday with this group of friends, but we've collectively decided Snuffer's will not be on our list of places to go any longer. I do hope our server is okay. I mean that totally seriously. She was really nice, but just seemed very out of it. I hope she's okay.

Life Rocks

Food is almost always good, but service is either up to standard or complete dysfunction, I never leave thinking, "wow that was great service today!" Honestly, I just keep coming back for the cheese fries, they are the best you'll ever eat! I wish they would bring back their smaller size burgers. I don't order burgers here anymore because they are just huge and turn into a mess. I get the bacon blue cheese wedge, which is also huge! Update, there's no more wedge salad but they have some new chicken options.

Burger was very undercooked and fries were overcooked and not very many on the plate. Service was good until it got very uncomfortable when server pressured us all to post reviews. Not only were we not even done eating but we were pressed to give a 5 star review in exchange for free food vouchers. Disappointing.

Definitely has been sliding in the past couple of years. Facility has a old funk smell and feels worn out. The food was terrible. Cheese fries looked and tasted like leftovers with cheese melted over them. That was our last trip to Snuffers after being customers since the 80's. The waiter was good.

I've been here plenty of time and this is the first time I'm going to write a review here I always got the hot dog and it's always pretty good but for some reason that night I do not know why my bread seem to be stale not fresh

As Immortan Joe once proclaimed, “mediocre” which is the most fitting description of this place. Didn’t follow ANY instructions on order. 3 hot dog meals, and NONE were to specification (no cheese, no onions) clearly that was too hard for them. The club sandwich looks nothing remotely close to the picture and was awful. Kudos to the portion size, zero stars for all else. As they didn’t follow any instructions and food was average, not worth your money!

This review is only for this location. With that being said the service was terrible here. My 1st and last time coming to Rockwall to eat at this location. The food was not good at all and I was actually embarrassed bringing people from out of town to this place. Our orders came out all wrong and didn't get corrected. Plus the manager was also new and completely clueless. I personally called the gm and he said this has been happening alot there. Do yourself a favor and go to the Greenville Ave location or any other except the Rockwall snuffers.

Party of 8, went to celebrate my dad 80th birthday on Dec 4th our waitress must have been having a rough year because she was very rude, snippy, and unfriendly. The restroom smelled of rotten eggs. The food was decent and the view overlooked the lake and traffic off hwy 30. The other staff that evening was friendly trying to help the main waitress, so we appreciated that. She didn't even take a group Pic when we asked and when myself or my mother asked her additional questions, she ignored us and walked off. I hope 2026 is better for her. Don't know her name.

I’ve been coming to this location for years now and I’m not sure what’s going on but every time I go in it’s worst than the last. I called to ask if the patio was pet friendly they said yes but the tables had been recently worked on and the patio was closed. Okay no worries I understand. I get there and the tables were in fact not worked on recently and had trash from previous guests. That was upsetting but not enough to make me go to another establishment.. then you walk in.. and you get the most unpleasant smell that just seems to linger throughout the restaurant. I couldn’t even last to get a drink because of the scent. It’s very unfortunate because the food’s good and sitting at bar usually comes with good service..

We went here on a late Saturday night. The food was okay. My daughter disliked the chicken for her quesadilla. My husband sandwich came out wrong so they had to remake it. I mean I don’t know. This location is different from the one in Addison when it comes to quality. The manager was nice though.

Burgers undercooked and cold! Cheddar fries look like they’d been sitting. Not sure what I was served to drink but it wasn’t tea! Server set plates on the table ,brought our drinks, brought our food, then our check! Never introduced herself , never smiled, never refilled drinks, took our dishes away, offered desert, or checked on us at all, these younger people just don’t have the want or need to work. I guess they don’t realize if they were alittle more helpful and personable their tips would probably double, this server was just wasting her time and mine. Thumbs down Snuffers, try hiring some adults, these kids just don’t care!

We came in and sat down, waited 10 minutes just for our drinks. I thought whatever, no big deal. Then I was getting irritated because not once did someone come check on us and ask if we needed anything. I couldn’t even tell who our waiter was bc the lady who asked what we wanted to eat passed up at least 7 times, she finally noticed it has been a minute “has your food come out?” Nope. She walks away and our server brings our food 40 minutes later. All we ordered was cheese fries and 2 burgers. The atmosphere was just not it either. No workers looked like they wanted to even be there. Everyone who was seated was before us had not got their food. 6 tables were dirty and multiple family’s couldn’t go sit anywhere even tho there is a big sign that says “sit anywhere and we will be with u” how? There is not 1 clean table. The best we got was a $10 gift card.

A man named Patrick Snuffer opened his first Snuffers in Dallas in 1978. Mr. Snuffer has sadly passed away a few years back, and it's hard not to wander what he would think of how the company is being run today. I think he would be terribly disappointed and dissatisfied if he knew about my most recent experience. Their fries are very iconic, never frozen, and well seasoned, or at least, they should be. My fries had hardly any seasoning, were over cooked, slightly burned, and most of the individual fries were 1 inch long or shorter! This makes them hard to eat without being messy if you have ketchup, ranch dressing, barbecue sauce, or some other condiment. I asked our very young and immature server, "Sir, take a look at this and tell me what's wrong with these fries." He said, "They look alright to me." I said, "having most of the fries 1 inch long and shorter is alright? Get me another order, and be sure they are not burned, not too short and seasoned properly." I paid lots of hard earned money to come here, and I expect everything to be the best it can be. When my server (if you can call him that) came back with a replacement basket of fries, THEY WERE JUST AS BAD. (SEE THE ATTATCHED PICTURE.) I did not complain right on the spot since my best friend was with me and he paid the bill to treat me as his friend. Now that I am past that stage, it's time to let readers know about my experience there. I WILL GO TO GREAT LENGTHS TO FIND OUT WHO IS THE OWNER OR DISTRICT AREA SUPERVISOR, AND HEADS WILL BE ROLLING ONCE THOSE IN THE CORPORATE OFFICE KNOW MY STORY.

Walked in to eat after church, and the entire restaurant had no A/C and was beyond hot. Servers had sweat rolling down their faces. The smell in there was soiled like, unkept, tables filthy, bathrooms nasty, bar area was unsanitary, and floors were gross. We left immediately and cannot believe how downhill it has gone. Will not be back.

Disgusting, rude and over-priced drinks. This place is rundown and beyond dirty, it is filthy with napkins remnants sticking to bar tops, mayo, dirty napkins and sticky worn-out bar tops with stinky rags laying about and trash/food all over bar floor. Took 3-4 minutes to be greeted at bar and then a good 4 minutes later to get our drinks (Almost 50% higher than other local places)...with 3 bar tenders and a manager (Nice greeting later on) not that busy for draft beer. Took another few minutes to cash out and with a no detailed receipt...had to ask another bartender to print a detailed one. We used to go here often but has turned into the once every few years due to experiences like this one. Maybe see you in another few years? 4/5/22 Thanks for the canned response I read countless times. Seems you want direct complaints that are not visible...I prefer to share on Google and now Yelp...maybe that will bring more non-canned action?

First item it took 10 mins to get something to drink.. we had ordered and 25 mins later the food had arrived. The fries were cold and the sliders were cold.. like they forgot to come to the table. Atmosphere is ok, the bar was a mess... no star at all.. will not be back again..

Sat at the bar for 20 minutes made eye contact with the bar tender 3 times before he stopped looking. I get having 1 bar tender but atleast send someone else to help. I took the extra step and moved to an open table. The waitress walked past me more then once. ended up just leaving because of became apparent we were not going to get served.

Ordered 3 burgers, 2 plain and dry with cheese and bacon, one of those well done, the other medium rare. The last burger was well done but just bacon. First time it got brought out all 3 were wrong, second time 2 were wrong, and 3rd time 1 was wrong. I ordered well done and I got raw, like the burger was gooey, and im not even overreacting. Definitely disappointed with this visit, in the past it hasn't been as bad, we also got no form of compensation for this vist so even just a little discount would've been nice.
