I walked in the door, went to take a look at the condiments bar to see if all the veggies were fresh. Then I went to powder my noise. When I returned the cook was standing at the condiment bar with all fresh spices. Fresh onions, peppers, and anything you can think of to put on tacos.

You can request when you ask for salsa etc. Today I learned this and I've been going to Taco Bueno since I was little bitty. Never heard of them having this. Anyhow 💯❤️ IT'S SO SO YUMMY Y'ALL SERIOUSLY 💯 Be careful it is spicy 🔥 😂 ended up putting a little in my queso then I was able to handle it 😂 y'all got to try it Dip your Burrito in it ❤️❤️❤️

This particular location is unmatched. I’ve ate plenty of fast food Mexican places and this one is my favorite. Luckily it’s conveniently located near my house. I always get bean burritos and salsa, it’s always perfect. The sweet tea is my favorite but if it’s late at night I’ll grab a Dr. Pepper. Their staff is always friendly, easy to communicate with, and correct when it comes to the order. Yes, sometimes I get more than burritos and everytime my order has been right.

Food is always good. I have only gone thru the drive thru so I don't know what the inside is like. I wish it was a little easier to see and get to. I think they would do more business. You have to know Rockwall really well to know it's back there. The price is a bit high compared to their competitors, but the food is better.

The food was good, but the nachos were way too salty. Also the tacos were perfect. The restrooms should be cleaned beetle the toilets were not flushed the Men’s restroom was all yellow and dirty . Please learn how. To clean.

They try to tell me there no firehouse salsa like all the time. But I go inside and its right there in the salsa bar!

The best thing about Taco Bueno is that you know what you're getting when you go. It's also the worst thing about Taco Bueno. There is that consistency and they do have some good choices. I always order the exact same thing every time because it's hard to mess up nachos or crunchy tacos, except you only get two tiny little tomato squares for the whole dang taco! It's not great food, just different every once in a while.

Got there, had a pick-up in front of me at drive through. After about 5-10 min the guy on front of me drove off as no one took the order. Thankfully someone did for me, but definitely seems understaffed

I love Bueno and have been a customer for over 20 years. It's sucks that I had to grade this store a 3. This 3 star rating is 100% on the employees. 2 for the food and 1 for employees. It was not busy but the entire store was disgusting and unkept. Bathrooms we're gross and attitudes were running amok. Time to get some consistent management. Until they do, avoid this dump.

I love the Bueno, but this location seem to be poorly run. Starting with cleanliness. The floor (whole floor)was sticky, as if it had been mopped with soda. The salsa bar needed a good wipe down and reorganization,too. When we got our plates it had looked like a second grader made it. The food tasted good. It was just the presentation that need work.

My experience at this location is limited to the drive thru. Overall, the food is pretty good here. That being said, half the time I'm missing an item that I paid for from my order when I get home. It's much more difficult to check for missing items with this type of food especially when you're ordering for multiple people. I used to come here much more often but ever since they changed from Coke to Pepsi and hiked up their prices it's just never been quite the same. Looking forward to the new parent company taking over and hopefully turning it around like they did for arbys. If my experience changes, I'll update my review to reflect that.

This was the first time I had been to this restaurant. I got coupons in the mail and decided to try it. The inside was empty (no customers), but there were a few people working. My order was taken and prepared quickly. Good service - friendly and efficient. I asked for recommendations and the customer service rep kindly gave me some. The bean burrito (the recommended) was the best out of everything we ordered. Additionally, I got an original crispy beef taco and a chicken muchaco (this is essentially a soft taco, but slightly larger). The beef had very little seasoning. The chicken was moist and while I got a hint of the flavor, I would have preferred it to have more. The refried baked beans in the burrito tasted like baked beans and since I already know I like that, it tasted good. Nothing particularly special about the flavoring with that. The salsa provided (red sauce) was the best out of everything. It was slightly spicy and had some chunks of veggies. For all tacos, lettuce and tomatoes were fresh. I'd recommend moving the cheese down in the burritos so that it melts on the meat. One of my largest issues with cheese being on top (which I agree can be somewhat visually attractive), is that it falls right off and you end up picking the cheese off the paper instead of eating it with the tacos. Generally, the food was slightly greasy. The employees did not wear masks, but I was not offended by this. This is Texas and I appreciate that we have choice in this state.

This taco bueno has different queso than other taco buenos. It has a bunch of chopped up jalapenos so if you don't like spicy you'll be pretty disappointed. Also I got a large queso and chips and they only gave me one small bag of chips and the queso cup wasn't even half full. Lastly they are not fast at all. Food was fine, but if you're already having a bad day, this place may set you off lol

Low quality food It's kinda disappointing tried many different food options tacos have no seasoned may just plain water-hamburger beef. And the burritos are 80% bean. It's just sad. You feel more depressed and unfulfilled after eating here. The food needs more flavor.

I got sick almost immediately after I ate there. The chicken wasn't cut it was like massive clumps of food just shoved into a burrito. And the chicken was a bright orange which I don't think I've ever seen at other restaurants

The worst part is the food is actually more flavorful than most taco Buenos, but the portion size is quite a bit smaller (for mine and my friend's order), they shorted my friend a taco and wanted to argue about it, her order was actually rung up wrong despite her repeating herself 2-3 times, and despite being the only customers inside, we were hard pressed to find a clean table. Perhaps if one uses the drive through, they will have more luck.

2 of the 3 times I've been through the drive thru the female employee working the drive thru got my order wrong. The first time she got an attitude when I got to the window and asked her to repeat my order because it seemed like a lot for what I ordered. I asked for 2 Taco roll ups and she tried to say I said 12. The second time she charged me for an extra item and didn't fix it.

Dining room was nice, service was poor, the restrooms were a disaster, and the "Big Ol Burrito" was tiny. I ordered it with steak and found 3 small pieces, and looked nothing like the picture. I hate to eat somewhere and still be hungry after a meal.

It pains me to write this because I LOVE Taco Bueno. This location, however, is always a mess. There is constantly a pool of syrupy water in front of the soda fountain and the floors and tables look like they haven't been cleaned since Bush was in office. I have left them comments using the code on the receipt but nothing has changed. They are building a new Taco Bueno in Royse City and I will be legit angry if they mess that one up like this one because I really, really like Taco Bueno. The guys in the Rockwall location need some cleaning supplies and some training on how and when to use them.

I visited today just to purchase a medium soft drink and an order of nachos. The dt window attendant was not initially rude on the menu speaker, but when I got to the window she said nothing and kind of half smiled. But then I saw her rudely tell another guest inside the store that "We don't have sweet tea". She must be having a bad day. I tried to be friendly because I know it is hard work to make people happy. I work for the Wal-Mart here in Rockwall, so I get it. Trust me.

We usually like Taco Bueno over Taco Bell. However, one night they had a computer glitch and double charged us on our credit card on an order. My wife notice the double transaction the next day while banking on line and reviewing purchases. It was nearly impossible to get a manager who incidentally yelled at me saying it was "impossible" to accept responsibility over the phone or to even look at the sells receipts. I finally went back to the store and saw the cashier who remembered me and I showed them the receipt. They said it was not possible to review the sells reports. But fortunately a young female shift manager took the responsibility and pulled the cash from the drawer and reimbursed me. I emailed corporate offices and they did not acknowledge the mistake nor apologized for the inconvenience. They said they would "look" into it. Several months later still no response. There's no telling how many folks they may ripped off that night. I am betting it occurs throughout the entire fast food industry. Buyer Beware!

Food is subpar when compared to taco bells and Chipotle'sbetter restaurants. Excellent customer service though

After having visited the Rockwall, TX location many times, I have noticed some patterns. I typically visit this location later in the evening, and when pulling up to the drive through there is almost always a 4 - 5 minute wait before anyone answers the speaker box in any way. I suspect that they are hoping you give up and leave, but I do not do so as I have always placed my order online ahead of time and already have it paid for. The food is really hit and miss. On some visits, it is fantastic. Hot, fresh, and delicious. Other times, such as my most recent experience, it seems as though the meat is not even attempted to be kept warm. In both the drive through and counter services, I have experienced extended wait times for my order to be prepared. When it's good, it's really good. Unfortunately, it is simply not reliable to be good, fast, or even courteous.

Waited in the drive through for 20 minutes. The employee was half asleep. The food was not suitable to eat.

Tacos had to be remade 3 times because the employee was more interested in a conversation with fellow employees than doing his job. They have no clue how to wrap any of the food to go. It's sad how customer service doesn't even register with these employees. Won't return to this location.

NO Stars at all! I stopped by there 4 different times at 6:00 am to pick up breakfast and they are never open this morning I waited for them to take my order and waited several minutes, I could see the guy at the register so I pulled up and told him the drive thru was not working and gave him my order, it took almost 30 minutes and when I got it my hash browns were cold and they did not cook the tortilla it also was cold!

Ordered 8 combo burritos, beef and bean. Got home and only had beans. This sucks, took my money but I won't be fooled again. I even notified corporate but I guess they don't care either !!!!!!!

Very disappointing. First, the price of the "Wholotta Box" has gone up to $15.00. Second, of course the Party Burritos are small, but these were nearly empty of any filling. The rice, beans, and salsa sides used to be 8oz containers, these were little 5oz containers... AND THEY WERE ONLY HALF FULL. We also ordered an additional 8oz container of queso, but only got a 5oz container, and it was half full. No wonder they didn't want to give us a receipt. This is absolutely ridiculous, I'm going to call tomorrow and demand my money back.

It never fails that my order is wrong, or they forget to put food in the bag! My muchacos were mushy and looked like the bread wasnt even cooked. I'm disappointed beyond that 10 out of 10 visits has had a screwed up order.

I would think twice about using your card here! Someone stole my card information when I went through their drive thru and fraudulent bought crypto currency with it. I can not get my funds back even after filing a dispute with both my merchant and bank. So now I have filed a bbb complaint. I had not used my card in a month and only transaction that day after. The day I paid for my lunch was the very next day someone bought the crypto currency.

Maybe nobody told them, but there's a pandemic going on. Not a mask being worn in the place. Not by a customer, not by the people at the counter, and not by the people in the kitchen cooking and breathing on our food. There are plenty of other restaurants in the area, I'll be skipping this one.

Drive thru guy says "we can't put the Cholula in a to go order it's just in bottles we can't... It's not ready to go" And fell silent expecting me to accept he is saying it's taco bueno policy for me to get out of the car and put Cholula in the plastic cups they have myself. He's representing the company saying that it's their policy not to give Cholula thru drive thru because..... It's highly irregular? It's hard to put sauce in a cup? Nah.

I ordered the rodeo meal which is pictured on the menu as being two large soft tacos STUFFED with brisket, tomatoes, onions etc. What I got was two very small Tacos with hardly any brisket at all. It’s absolutely false advertising. I won’t be ordering that again.

Run by teenagers that I guess were told there is a supply shortage. Usually get party tacos but crew was hungry so decided splurge for regular. They were almost empty shells. Sent 4 tacos back only to get same results. Party bean burritos had about a teaspoon of beans and nothing else. There was zero customers in there and know I know why. Never returning.

This place has gone WAY downhill. My daughter loves their tacos, but we will not be back. We ordered tacos, chips & queso, & cups for water (the same thing we order every time here). The guy handed us the tiny kids cups for water, & I asked for a larger cup (which they usually will give me) so I don’t have to go back for several refills. He said he had to ask the manager. The manager informed us that if we wanted a bigger cup I could pay for a drink. When the order came out, we had 8, yes 8 chips in our bag for an entire cup of queso. I went back to the front, thinking this surely was a mistake, but I was informed by the kid behind the counter that he didn’t put the chips in the bag, & if I wanted more, I could buy another bag. On top of all of this, the bathroom was dirty, the salsa bar was dirty, & most of the unoccupied tables had not been cleaned. This place sucks.

There's a reason this location is not doing well tonight I ordered the big freakin nachos. Not much big about them except the price. Tried their new street tacos. For $1.79 you get a 3in taco on a soft flour shell with no flavor or seasoning whatsoever. Not to mention it took 25 minutes to get through the drive-thru. And we were the first car. Cashier acted as if we were bothering her by placing our order. The big kicker was when I opened my party burrito to add sauce on it I found moldy cheese. Took it back up got my money back and left. Not going to return.. I was told afterwards that they have been shut down before due to rats. Not sure if true.

Had coupons but only let you use one 99 cent coupon per order. Big savings, coupons are trash. Food was prepared like you used a coupon. Burrito was nothing but dough. Barely any beans spread on it and no cheese or nothing else. Like chewing bubble gum. The Bueno burrito for $5 was just as bad. Should change the name to Rice Burrito because it had nothing on it but rice. Tacos had no cheese and shells were stale. $15 for food you couldn’t eat. Waste of money. Never going back. Not even a second chance unless somebody steps up and makes good on the money I wasted.

One word describes this location, DISGUSTING! The bathroom, the interior, and the food are disgusting!!! Corporate should close down this location. I listen to my wife and went back after two repeat disasters and you know what they say, third times a charm. This place might be good in other cities but steer clear of the Rockwall location!!!

Wow. If I could post pictures I will. I will make sure to post them on facebook. After waiting 27 minutes for 2 TACO PLATES when i got home it was pitiful. This is why you pay 2 dollars extra to go somewhere else. Not only did the platter look like it was thrown on the floor before the box, but both tacos were put together with no meat, 1 pieces of lettuce, 2 tomatoes, and no cheese. Horrible. Horrible experience. If I could I would give no stars. Luckily I had a left over taco from Rosa's to feed me for dinner.

They are NOT open till 1am. We are from out of town and visiting family. My husband made a point to check to see if they were going to be open after the movie. They have been open at least and hour and all but two tables are dirty (probably from the night before) the condiment bar has dates on the food and everything is left over from yesterday. And lastly they advertise a small queso in a red cup (probably 4oz) but what you actually get is a condiment container like you find at their condiment bar (about 2oz.). Don’t waste your time and just go somewhere else. I would pick Taco Bell over this fiasco!!!

So I’ve heard that taco bueno is the best Mexican fast food and it’s way better than Taco Bell. I tried it for the first time tonight and I was actually shocked by how small my burritos were… they were literally the size of taquitos. They were about 80% tortilla and hardly any filling. Having good hygiene should the number one priority. If someone is going to be taking out the trash or grabbing stuff from places , that person shouldn’t be making the food. The manager of this place doesn’t use gloves to make the food nor he washes his hands. He’s touching everything all Over the place and doesn’t even wash his hands to be making someone’s food. 👎👎👎

Well I ordered the carne Asade street taco platter and my husband ordered the chicken one and I knew from the get go it tasted kinda funny, and so did my husband but I ate it anyways. So 2 hours later we both have upset stomachs. Plus the food was not put in the bag correctly so the wrapper was covered in sour cream. So no thanks I won’t go back.

They weren't stocked, no salsa, no drink lids, no dr pepper, very unclean. Staff nearly let me leave with out half my order. Drive through door is about to fall off and if was to land on a car it could injure someone. Very unmanaged and poorly kept.

they forgot HALF of my order.... i ordered 6 items and they only gave me three.... this location is crap. they are rude and it takes forever to get your food. When you bring anything up to them, its never their fault of course.

Ordered online today, my son went to pick up the order which I put under his name. Jeff the manager was very rude, my son called me to get a picture of the receipt that I was given and Jeff was still unsatisfied, I could hear him arguing with my son. He was refusing to give my son the order because it didn't have his name on the receipt but it did have an order number. They need to get a new system if showing the receipt they provided is not enough to prove it is your order.

The taco salad was a terrible joke!!! I didn't see or taste ANY lettuce!! Chicken was mushy like old chicken salad mixture. A few chopped tomato pieces and a spoonful of beans. A big tortilla shell / bowl with barely ANYTHING in it, and what was, tasted disgusting!!! Took two bites and gave the rest to my dog.....she wouldn't eat it either!!! Waste of $$$!!!

I used to love taco bueno... No more. Crispy taco was stale. Chalupa was no where near as good as they used to be, plus there was multiple hairs in it. Gross. Bean burrito was blah. I'm disappointed and sick to my stomach. What is happening to this franchise?! The service was rude... These stores used to be well managed. No idea what has happened to them.

Poor service, took 30 minutes to make 20 party burritos during a slow drive thru traffic from 6:50 -7:05pm. The staff was short-hand but how does it take more than 1 minute per party burrito between 2 people. Staff had an attitude and could care less about the customer. Did’t apologize or even show any attempt in empathy for a mother with a crying baby waiting for an order past the point of no return.

The burrito was nothing but die and had to spit it out. The taco shell was stale. Horrible food horrible service on the drive thru. Taco Bueno in Royse City gives Taco Bueno a bad name. Will never eat at this place again. The nasty food they serve is over priced. The only reason why I rated one star is because in order to leave a review you have no choice but to leave one star.

I'm not really sure what's going on here. Some of the outside lights are always off at night, and last night at 10:40, the place was closed when the sign said it was open until 1. The food used to be really good (for fast food), but has been hit or miss for a while now, and it's usually dirty inside. EDIT: Gave "em another shot last week. Of course, the outside lights are still always off. I'm guessing that the management still hasn't noticed. Food quality has declined even more, the kitchen was visibly filthy, and prices have gone up. Vegetables were not fresh, tortillas were stale. It's time to either shut this one down or replace the entire staff, top down, and make sure that they're properly trained.

Got 6 nearly unedible salty salty salty salty 🧂 🤪 🙃 beef tacos- would not have minded except the 😞 disappointing and lackluster flavor 😕. Surely they can put better food out the window? [Asking the manager directly]. Lame customer service-no excuse really, except I hope the person at the window was "okay" [and nothing personal]. We tried to be pleasant and muster a smile and thank you 😊 but window attendant was moving fairly slow and lethargic. This specific male window attendant stated they had run out of certain products. Guess it's the supply chain issue? SMH. 👀 Again, what is management doing to address same if this is truly an issue? Ample room for improvement and a good reminder of why I NEVER eat here. Save your money and travel on down the street and around the corner to either Taco Casa 🌮 or DQ. Better tacos. Better service. Fresh and edible. We were short on time and desperate.

Every time we have come to the Taco Bueno - Rockwall location, they have denied our coupons and their customer service is horrible. This time, we had a coupon advertised on the Taco Bell website, the employee added it onto our bill, we saw the price go down, and then another girl came over and removed it from our bill. Additionally, we asked for water cups multiple times and they would not give us cups. They were rude to us and said “your meal doesn’t come with drinks” when we just wanted water. We will only be going to the Royse City location from now on.

Awful food, too much water in the beef, bland, and sloppy. Refused a common substitution that every other taco bueno does. long wait time, rude customer service. Overall do not recommend coming here.

I remember now why I stopped going to this location. Again, I’m missing half my order! The phone number listed is not a working number either. I’m so frustrated with crappy service! And furthermore, when I looked for the receipt it wasn’t in the bag… maybe be cause I paid cash!

It’s my first time eating at Taco bueno but if this is the kind of food served here this s the nastiest brisket quesadilla or quesadilla period I’ve ever had in my life , the food is so dry and old and hard you can’t eat it that bite I took I just went on and spit that crap out with is wrong with people when you made this you knew it wasn’t fresh! I will never eat at another taco “not” bueno!!

25 minutes In a drive through? So long that 3 vehicles including myself reversed out of the line, no movement whatsoever. Not a very pleasant greeting at the drive through speaker, and could barely hear the attendant on the microphone. If that’s not terrible service I don’t know what is. I’d leave it with 0 Stars but 1 is required to leave a review

Do not ever go to this Taco Bueno in Rockwall on Whitehills & interstate 30. This is what you get. I will never ever step foot in that awful “restaurant” again. Rude to my wife and daughter. The guy at the drive thru window basically threw the order at them and got very annoyed when they asked for salsa. I've been there many many times and have had awful service every single time. This is the last time because I nor my family will return. Poor customer service and poor food (pictured)
