The beef and chicken fajitas were phenomenal. The beef was especially tender and flavorful. The deluxe 57 was a HUGE portion and everything tasted superb. Our server Hugo was amazing, very attentive and didn’t leave the table lacking nothing for a signal moment. Overall, it was a fantastic experience and we will be back

My family and I had a lovely experience at Mi Cocina Rockwall. The hostess was welcoming and our waitress was so attentive. The chips and salsa are addictive! The food was all beautifully prepared and tasted even better. We had no room left for dessert, but im sure that would have been phenomenal as well. I will definitely be back again, hopefully sooner than later.

This place is awesome!! From the food to the drinks, everything we’ve gotten from here has been on point! The food is great and they aren’t skimpy on the alcohol like other places. You will definitely leave happy! The crew at the bar are amazing! Josue, Michelle and X to the Z always have smiles on their faces, including Miguelito! Because of the crew, and not management, I will keep recommending this place to everyone I know.

My goodness gracious. Perfect customer service and consistency is best described by the attention of our waitress and the food quality. I’d give this place 100 stars just for her service. I love Mi Cocina. My mother and I came in to eat because this is our favorite place. I haven’t been out since my surgery I crutch in and didn’t have a problem opening the door because everyone came to open it before I even tried. Alicia was so kinda and attentive. Best service I’ve had in a very long time. Wish I could have tipped her more because man she deserved it. Also manager was hilarious and checking up on us just to make sure everything was okay. Mi Cocina is hands down one of my favorite places to eat at because of the taste and especially, consistency. This location and the Lake Highlands one never disappoint. I highly recommend the sunset enchiladas or chicken enchiladas with sour cream sauce. SO good. Service is always delightful and the food delicious.

Went to mi cocina for the first time and got the chicken tortilla soup and it was amazing. I definitely recommend the soup!!!!

I was pleasantly surprised. I noticed the above average ratings on Google maps and gave them a try today. This is not your typical tex mex place, although they do have tacos and enchiladas. I ordered their vegetarian tacos, with potatoes, portobello mushroom, poblanos, and spiced tomato sauce over corn tortillas. It came with an avocado salad on the side which was fresh, light and lovely. I was surprised, the tacos were very filling, the lady next to me asked what I ordered as it looked great coming out. The restaurant's atmosphere was a couple steps above the typical Mexican or tex mex place, the bar was nice and cozy. I should note the food came out between 10-15 mins, not the tex mex avg 2 mins, which made me feel better that they do a quality job, not just pop it in the microwave. I would come here again, even better I would invite friends too. Plenty of parking even for a weekend.

Great dinner with friends. Great service during the meal. After the meal, we sat and talked for about an hour. The restaurant was not busy on a Wednesday night. I wish his attentiveness continued, like refilling drinks. His tip would have increased if he had. We still left a very decent tip for the service he did provide. Great upscale Mexican food - everything on the menu is superb. This post is for the bar and specifically the MEXICAN MARTINI. Game changer! Two drinks I love have come together in a sweet (orange juice) and savory (olive juice) tequila beverage that I wanted in a pint glass. Deliciousness in a glass. Mi Cocina never disappoints.

ALICIA was incredible, we wanted for nothing, drinks stayed full, recommendations were phenomenal and we couldn't have had a better evening. The salmon Adobo was delicious, pineapple and Pico with spicy salmon and grilled vegetables were mouth watering. Will be back again!!!

This is a nice place with great food. The layout is great but the server forgot to check on us. I had to call another person to help get our server to come see us. Nevertheless, I enjoyed the food as well as the ambience. I love natural lighting so I appreciated when they raised the blinds automatically as soon as the sun tilted. One feature I thoroughly enjoyed was they allowed contactless payment with a QR code on the receipt. That made my day and negated the girl that forgot to keep our drinks flowing 🙂

Consistently good food and service every time we've gone. The atmosphere is the same at every restaurant so you know what to expect.

Visited after church and we were promptly seated! The food and drinks were delicious. Our waiter seemed to be new which was fine, we were patient with him and where he missed Gloria the manager helped out. She was a welcomed blessing to our dining experience. We will be back. Thank you Gloria, you are amazing!

First Time in treated my daughter to lunch! When I say the food is amazing I mean it! So flavorful! My amazing waiter Anita B was so welcoming helpful with the menu and also treated us to cheese dip and guacamole for our first time coming in! We got full really fast so we had to take a doggie bag which Anita bagged for us which was so awesome! The atmosphere is nice! Definitely will be back! My wife and I have been to Mi Cocina in Rockwall twice now. We have had the BEST experience each time. Both of our servers have been so friendly, relatable, and knowledgeable. And our food has been excellent. We have gotten the beef fajitas twice now. The beef is so tender and flavorful… And just unique compared to other beef fajitas I’ve gotten. All of the veggies and guac that come with it are very fresh. We have also gotten the Pollo Moderno and tortilla soup which were both excellent as well. Really can’t recommend this place enough!!

My wife loved her chicken quesadillas, and my two cheese enchilada lunch special hit the spot perfectly—great flavor and a perfect lunch portion. However, what truly made this visit special was the outstanding service from our waiter, Daniel C. He was attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. I LOVE Mi Cocina in Rockwall! I am a regular and am usually sitting at the bar a couple of times a week. The food is always fast and excellent. The atmosphere is like Cheers - your favorite bar. And the service is amazing! My fav's are Linda, Hugo, and Anita. If they weren't there, I definitely wouldn't go as often. I love going and seeing all the regulars and catching up. It's a great time, and that's all because of the atmosphere that Linda, Hugo and Anita create. They turn it into a neighborhood hang-out.

Very very good food and excellent service! The only thing I could suggest is that they play some Calibre 50 😁 4 of us had dinner, 2 adults and 2 kids, we paid $140.00. I will also mention that I had 3 margaritas 😁 So you should expect to pay around $100 for a family of 4. Please tip your server well!

It was so good, we ate too much. That is pretty much everyone was saying afterwards. Shrimp tacos were delicious, a bit too salty. A little too much salt but juicy and tasty Waitress was very nice, brought us all the salsas since it was our first time and all were delicious. Enjoyed our first visit very much! I live in Austin and while visiting family in Rockwall yesterday we chose Mi Cocina for an early lunch and what a great experience. It felt cold when we walked in so I asked to be seated in the warmest section and the hostess did exactly that so we were quite comfortable. We had the Queso blanco and Guacamole for appetizers then the Shrimp brochette with Mexican rice and mixed lunch Fajitas. The food was delicious and arrived in a timely manner, fresh and hot. Our server Maddy was very attentive, accommodating and so friendly. She gave us menu suggestions when we asked. She checked on us frequently and when we were ready to leave she brought us our "to go" boxes and actually filled them for us. The manager, Gloria, came by twice to check in with us to make sure all was well. The restaurant is spacious and easy to get to with plenty of parking. They have a bar, a comfortable waiting area and an outdoor patio. I highly recommend Mi Cocina for a quality Tex-Mex meal and hopefully you'll have Maddy taking care of you!

Sat on the patio, cool breeze, closed in but still able to watch shoppers shopping and traffic going by. Great food, strong drinks the still taste amazing. The server was very prompt and exhibited great listening skills. Fast, friendly, and always smiling. Best experience I've had in a while.

Best margaritas I have ever had and I am a margarita snob! I can't review the food because I only had the guacamole but it was so good almost like my homemade. Highly recommend stopping in… And prepare to have more than one drink! I had the Skinny Mambo and the Skinny Smash. Took a picture of other drinks that looked just as good.

Today my family and I visited Mi Cocina in Rockwall, and we couldn’t have been happier with the experience. Our waiter Tadeo, was incredibly highspirited and did an amazing job attending to our needs. He made sure we were comfortable, checked in regularly, and kept our drinks refilled without us ever having to ask. His level of service truly sets the standard for what you hope to receive at a restaurant: warm, welcoming, and familiar, almost like being at home. The food was excellent as always and never disappoints. I also have to mention the coffee it was surprisingly great. At other Mi Cocina locations I’ve visited, the coffee hasn’t always been a highlight, but this one definitely delivered in both quality and flavor. Overall 10/10 for both service and food. I’ll definitely be letting my friends know this is the new hangout spot!

The only reason for the 4-star rating is the chips and queso. The chips were a bit too thick and basic for my taste, and the queso was the yellow, heavier style — not my personal preference, though I know some folks love it that way. Overall, still a great experience with friendly service and a lively atmosphere. Definitely worth visiting if you’re in the area and craving solid Tex-Mex and a top-tier margarita.

It's a staple for Mexican cuisine in Rockwall. The drinks are good, service is good, and the food is good. Nothing spectacular, but definitely a fun atmosphere if you're near a group of ladies enjoying Mambo Taxis!

Shrimp with a side of cilantro rice. Came with two dips today where delicious. One was avocado crema. Also came with a side of pinto beans that were so good I ate them first! I went on a Thursday at lunch time and the wait was still 30 minutes so I sat at the bar. TV's are there, other patrons at the bar were friendly with their small talk. I'm looking forward to returning and trying the grouper next.

An interesting Tex-Mex restaurant experience in that it has a high end vibe with the decor, attitude, menu meal names, and food presentation. But half of the food was not to my liking. I did like their tamales and how they were plated, with the chili sauce under them. I prefer to eat them plain and most restaurants cover them with the sauce. The masa had excellent texture and the filling was of good quantity, flavorful with enough spice kick for a pleasant experience. Their rice was very light, fluffy and favorable. Their guacamole is the best I've eaten at a restaurant, but wished the tortilla chips were better. I'm sure there are patrons who come here often, but, in our opinion, the experience and food was not enough for us to add it to our list.

Not up to par. This was a Wed night at 5:15pm before the busy time. Chips were broken up crumbs. Salsa continually ran empty. Water was empty constantly and we had to ask each time for a refill. Beans and rice each were the size of a tablespoon serving size. Food was good, just everything else was disappointing, because normally its much better service.

Really didn't have anything for my kids to eat. They dont eat Mexican food but I love it so theres that. Now days kids like chicken nuggets or strips. Might want to add that.

Although the restaurant was not even half full we were seated by the kitchen and bathroom entrance where the servers congregated to talk. Asked for more salsa twice and never received. We had to ask for a box and our bill twice. The food was fine but $12.25 for a small plate of guacamole is ridiculous. It was blended well and had huge chunks in it so I didn't care for that part. The reason why I will not give this place 5 stars is strictly because of the food and prices you're paying. The flavor was not there at all. We ordered Chili con Queso and added the brisket. The Queso honestly reminded me of some heat and serve cheese, with a miniscule serving of brisket. The brisket was also lacking in flavor. The 3 chips they gave with the queso were much fresher than the complimentary chips brought to our table earlier, pity they didn't give us more. As for the main entree, I order the fajitas. When you think fajitas, you think of that hot sizzling plate that gets the entire restaurant's attention.... this was far from that. I got 3 small slices of beef, maybe 4 slices of chickens, and 2 extremely undercooked, potato wedges? Rice and beans were also mediocre. This was not sizzling hot either, they brought this dish out in less than 5 minutes after I ordered it. I highly doubt it was freshly cooked. This restaurant is definitely not authentic, it's probably catering to those who want "Mexican" food without the flair and flavor. The only thing I truly enjoyed was the seating and music. I would not dine here again, there are much better tex mex options.

I’ve been to several Mi Cocina’s but this was my first time to Rockwall’s location. I would say it was average, not bad at all but certainly not something I’d brag about. Waiter was friendly and attentive. Food was decent, fair. Overall atmosphere was welcoming, restaurant was clean. I wouldn’t be opposed to going back again but it wouldn’t be my first choice for Mexican restaurants in Rockwall.

I recently visited a Mi Cocina restaurant that positions itself as a higher-end dining spot, but unfortunately, it didn’t quite live up to the price tag. While the atmosphere was decent and the service acceptable, nothing truly stood out. I ordered the Tacos Mi Tierra, which came with chopped fajita meat, serrano chiles, onions, guacamole, pico de gallo, rice, and beans. The flavors were decent—what you’d expect from a standard Tex-Mex plate—but there was nothing particularly memorable or elevated about the dish. For the premium pricing, I expected either more authentic preparation or a creative gourmet twist, neither of which came through. For one omemet I tought I was eating at a taqueria. Overall, it felt like I was paying fine-dining prices for an experience and food quality closer to a casual Tex-Mex chain. Not terrible, but not justifiable for the cost.

Was told there was a 30-40 min wait, so decided to get a double barrel at the bar. It was made quickly and did not taste the same as usual. We got a table for 2, but the table was small that they had to take the chips away and cramp the other plates on the table.

Went for lunch at an almost empty bar. 2 people behind the bar but it took 10 minutes for chips and salsa after asking a second time. Staff was too busy on their phones to take care of guests. Management was behind the bar, and at the host stand when I left and didnt acknowledge anything. Sad day for what used to be a great place. Food was mediocre at best. I know Im only 1 person ordering 2 tacos, but you never know what I might bring in next time for your business. Treat every customer as an opportunity to gain a regular, not just a quick tip.

The table and the chairs has some rice grains and the floor was full of crumbs and the person that sat us saw it and just covers with the menu. Tye only consistent thing in the menu is the nachos as carbon other than that most entrees were Mid, the tres leches it’s definitely not tres leches, Tom Thumb has a three time better one.

Service was good. Restaurant was clean. Food not flavorful- bland. Queso tastes like cream of something soup…. Tiny bowls of salsa. Fish tacos were off- soggy wet fish, raw veggies and raw corn tortillas. Strange. Rice was good, charro beans were good also. The hottest sauce they have is just blended chilis- maybe it’s a tex mex thing. Just thought the whole meal was off and for lunch (for 2) the hefty price tag of 62.00 (with tip) was a little steep.

We ordered through doordash. If you have a problem with food the restraunt will not take care of it. Over priced a poor poor quality!!!!

Well disappointed last wait time at our 10 to 12 mins for a service, do you not have a manager on your floor anymore. When we did order our food wrong and cold so by that time we got up and left we will not be back this the second your restaurant disappointed us. Wish there was more stars cause there not deserved!!! I don’t need a phone call we’re done here…,

Today, I visited the restaurant where I usually order over the phone and get the same plate—Sunset Fajitas (50% chicken, 50% beef). What really bothered me today, and I don’t know if it was a joke, is that it seemed like the cook blended raw jalapeño and mixed it into my chile con queso. I enjoy spicy food, so that wasn’t the issue, but I share the chicken with my son. Today, it seemed like I was given queso over blended jalapeño instead. The food was inedible, and after paying $30, my son couldn’t eat his favorite meal. Please make sure the cooks follow the recipe and stop making jokes at customers' expense—it’s not funny. See picture sauce is not queso is green.

This was the order of nachos I got via DoorDash. If this had been served to me at the restaurant I would have sent it back. So lame!

Rockwall Deserves a zero this was Sunday, the more I think about our service the madder I get my husband said let it go we’re not going back. Your servers look lost, your food comes out cold and wrong, my husband received burnt fajitas with black onions there was no one that cares that we could talk to either. I really feel MiCocina was our go to place not anymore not even your mambos there watery no taste so sad!!!

We use to love MiCocina, but tonight was the worst ever, NO Service, Food cold and No Taste Fajitas burnt, drinks took to long to get to our table. We don’t need anything in return. MiCocina really just need to fix the problems and get help for your servers. We saw No Management on the floor to talk to either.

I ordered a large bowl of tortilla soup and I got a child size cup of soup. I payed 14$ for a bowl of soup and got a soup that wouldn’t even fill up a toddlers belly, robbery. Lack of standards and integrity!
