Great pizza, not only the crust but its the only place that comes close to Ny/Nj pizza
The place is small but it's such a great place to get a slice for lunch or get a whole pizza for a party or event. The staff are all kind and the service is always quicker than I expect. Great place and great pizza.
Wanted to try a new pizza place. We love pizza. Their calzones were DELICIOUS. And the giant slice??? AMAZING. My husband said we found our new go to for thin crust. The giant slice is crispy and GIANT. We don't like much on our pizza, just pep, but they had some good variety of toppings. It is pretty small inside, but they have outdoor seating thats not very noisy and with the weather getting cooler, was perfect. We had it to go, we had a small child that was ready for a nap, but next time we'll definitely take advantage of the seating outside. Like I said, new spot for us!
Brooklyn Pie offers a solid NY style pizza. This particular location isn't ideal however. On this particular visit they were not prepared at open and the did not acknowledge us as they counted changed, prepared the soda machine and put down stools. Consistently indifferent service. The other bad thing about this location is their insistence on playing music extremely loud. Loud house music. Very little seating inside. Today the slice of pizza was the greasiest I have ever had here. It took a few paper towels to bring it to a reasonable level of grease. Overall it's a good slice of pizza but not an enjoyable place to eat for lunch. Edit: After several more visits I am adding a star to my review of Brooklyn Pie in Round Rock. It has been really good and consistent and they do a great Greek salad.
First, my credentials (pretentious 🤣): I grew up in NYC and spent the better part of my life living there with pizza being my favorite food and have studied the ingredients and history of pizza. Original Brooklyn Pie Co.'s crust, sauce, and cheese all taste as accurate as I'd expect outside of NYC. I'm not sure if they use San Marzano tomatoes in their sauce, for example, but the level of sweetness is spot on. The crispiness is just about perfect, too. A lot of places claim to make "NY Style" pizza and fail miserably. This place got it right. Beyond making good pizza, the place has the feeling of a corner pizza shop, which is really hard to find outside of NYC. Finally, the slices are almost ridiculously large lol (see picture for reference). This place is my new favorite pizza place in this area and I'm excited to come back. I recommend it!
Wanting a slice for lunch we popped on into OBPC to fill that need. As you walk in you are meet with a little space with a big atmosphere. Surrounded by decor fit for Italian pizza shop. You're greeted with a small table and an L bracket of standing space and chairs. There are no restrooms and the drinks are In cans in bottles. Now you're met with a couple options here at lunch. Their staple is a slice. A drink the two toppings for $9. I opted to get the slice, the salad and the drink for 13 as that salad choices are Greek house or Caesar. Be quite a few choices of toppings. I decided to go pepperoni and black olives. My wife went with ham and pineapple. She got the Greek salad. I got the Caesar salad. Which the salads did come out first. My Caesar came out cold and the greek had lots of toppings. Halfway through our salads we received our slices of pie and oh let me tell you it's as big as it looks. You are definitely getting two slices of pie stick together to make the one big huge slice which they offer. I definitely think this was my slice size to perfection. My wife couldn't finish her crust. That being said she wouldn't have changed it any other way. She'd try every time. If you're looking for a slice at lunch time, this is a really great deal. They offer larger pizzas in the 14in and 18-in sizes. A 18-in cheese I believe is $21. Specialty pizzas range from $30 to $40 and you can feed six eight people with the 18-in.
First off, the slice was HUGE. Definitely a great deal for the price. The sauce had a really nice robust herb flavor that stood out and tasted fresh. Customer service was good and everything came out quick, which I appreciated. Almost 5 stars for me. I just wish the slice was a little crispier, but that’s honestly just my personal preference. Overall solid spot and I’ll definitely be back. 🍕
Nice little New York style Pizzeria in La Frontera in Austin. They have a lunch special a giant slice with two toppings and soda for 6.99 the slice is actually pretty good and I enjoyed it it's worth visiting to check it out
Food was amazing but I'm not sure why the staff seemed so grumpy last time. We've been going here for years, some of the best pizza you'll find around if you like that northeastern corridor Pizza. Pricey but worth it. Not much seating, strongly recommend taking it to go.
First time visit and it was really good. We created our own pie. The ingredients were fresh and the dough tasted amazing. I visited NY and I must say they come pretty close to the city's taste. Pretty cool atmosphere. Outside sitting as well as inside. Cool staff. And did I mention the pizza pie is HUGE! I definitely may start getting pizza from here instead of others places simply due to the size and taste.
Ordered large custom pizza with a lot of different additional ingredients and other items. Got totally wrong order and ice cold pizza. Highly not recommending this place.
I think the pizza tastes great. I was alright with spending ~28 dollars (with a small tip+tax) for a 14"-4 topping pizza every now and again. They upped the price of the same pizza to 31 dollars before tip and tax. That is INSANE to me. Each topping now costs more but it's because they claim everything is more expensive now, and not because they are adding more of that topping to the pizza. I understand price increases, but I already thought they were reaching for that ~28 dollar price. Look at the included picture and judge for yourself if you think that's $3 worth of pepperoni, $3 worth of ricotta, $3 worth of italian sausage, or $3 worth of black olives. I don't think it is. Especially the black olives. The blanket $3 per topping is pretty telling to me that they just want every cent they can get from you. There is no way they should charge the same $3 for black olives and Italian sausage. I brought up this price increase to a worker while overpaying for the pizza and she acknowledged that it was expensive and only offered that it was because ingredients cost more. I commented that at these prices, I won't be coming back. At the end of the transaction she just turned away and left without a word. I didn't raise my voice and maybe spoke for 20 seconds about the topic while paying. The way she just left without a word as soon as she gave me the receipt felt pretty disrespectful. I would've given them 3 stars with the above comments because it's ultimately up to you whether or not you think a ~31 dollar (before tax/tip) pizza is worth it. Unfortunately, they have messed up my order a few times. I always ask for ricotta but on more than one occasion they have given me mozzarella instead. It's pretty upsetting when a pizza place can't tell the difference between cheeses, and that was before the price increase. I won't be ordering from them again with these prices.
I picked up order for friend! The guy in the front has bad attitude since you walk in! Never smiled once. When I got to my friend’s I realized he forgot to give me a dr.pepper which we ordered. I dont feel like going back since it‘s a 15 min drive. Pizza rate: 5/10 cheese bread: 2/10 over all terrible everything.
I wanted to share my recent experience during a pickup visit. When I arrived, I was not greeted by any staff members, and it took some time for anyone to assist me. In fact, two customers who walked in behind me were greeted, paid, and received their orders before I was attended to.
If you like the taste of cardboard and you want to waste some money, come here. The pizza was incredibly thin, barely any cheese, seriously lacked in flavor and was an extreme disappointment. I’ve been here before and the pizza was decent but I’m truly disappointed with this place now. Burnt crust, stiff as a damn board pizza, my jaw was hurting trying to work through this piece of trash. I now remember why I stop eating out and cook at home. People do not care about their business anymore and the staff cares even less. Just close please because this place is trash.
I visited Original Brooklyn Pie Co. a few years ago, eager to try their pizza. Unfortunately, as soon as we walked in, we were met with an unpleasant experience. I politely asked if they sold pizza by the slice, but the employee responded harshly, mocking us and making us feel unwelcome. The restaurant was nearly empty, and it was midday—we genuinely wanted to dine there. It’s disappointing to be treated that way, and it's an experience I haven’t forgotten. I hope the service has improved since then.
Absolutely disgusting pizza. I was so excited to try this place since I just moved to the area and haven’t found a decent pizza place nearby. 1) cheese is bad quality and is super rubbery. Even tastes like rubber. 2) crust has a bad aftertaste 3) there is literally little to no sauce on a cheese plain pizza 4) this is not authentic Brooklyn style pizza 5) we couldn’t even finish the pizza 6) it’s a crime to charge $22 for a large plain pizza for inedible food If you want decent pizza, make the drive to Austin and go to Little Deli, all day pizza or home slice
Biggest disappointment. Customer service and friendliness was great. Pizza was the biggest disappointment. Excellent that they sell by the slice except it is not freshly made. Pizza is seating on the side. When sliced pizza is ordered they place the toppings and rebaked, resulting in a very crispy and dry pizza. Flavorless to say the least. After 2 bites, could not continue to eat. Then tried just taking pieces from the top, but was overcooked and dry.
